Trapped in a miserable dead-end job and fighting traffic every day to get back to her crummy apartment, Jenny is desperate to catch a break. But when she receives a surprise call, she’s shocked to discover that her wealthy uncle is dead—and that he left her a beautiful cabin in the mountains of Virginia.
This is her golden ticket to escape. But Jenny soon learns that her newfound fortune comes with a lot of strings attached. Faced with suspicious small-town locals—and a greedy land developer who has his eyes on her new property—Jenny must fight tooth and nail to stop her dream future from turning into her worst nightmare.
And after a handsome hunk of a cop steps onto the scene, sparks fly and she’s left wondering if romance is in the air...
Can Jenny win over the townsfolk and embrace a second chance at life? And what will she do when a man appears on her doorstep that she hasn’t seen in thirty years?
Home At The Cabin is a feel-good contemporary women’s fiction series that will delight you with beautiful themes of new beginnings, clean romance, later-in-life love, and all the charms of a cozy small-town life. A must-read for anyone who wants to transport themselves to a cozy cabin and beautiful mountains.
What a wonderful ending to this story / series. This is not a standalone and it must be read in order. Ms Summers has a knack for tying up the loose ends really well, and this was no exception. This book/series was an easy read, at what I consider a thousand foot level, enough detail to get the story across without lots of detail, in a limited amount of words. If you like stories that lift the heart, have found families, faith, forgiveness, redemption and HEAs, this is a great one. It does have a trigger for children of emotional abuse and it broke my heart. I received an ARC of the book and this is my own opinion.
This has been a very different series, but good. The main thing there were so many characters added along the way I had a difficult time keeping up with them & who they belonged to before they came to live at the cabin way up in the mountains. I think they all eventually found their place in the house until some went their separate ways to start their own life away from the cabin. It has been an interesting series as I have never read a series with so many characters added along & from so many different backgrounds. I think you will like it. Most all of them had difficult lives before coming to live at the cabin.
I received this book from the author & in no way did that influence my review. I tell it like it is in my own words.
Now that the danger is past and Jenny can take full control of her inheritance, things should settle down. Sadly it doesn't, there are still things to get settled. Lacey's dad shows up and Jenny rolls into momma bear . So will Lacey's dad be accepted or turned away? What other plans does God have for the gang living in the cabin on top of the mountain? Will Jenny and Bert finally get together? How will everything turn out?
The characters were very loving and faithful to God and each other. The love and romance was awesome. The information passed along in the book 📖 was helpful. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
