POUR DECISIONS #2

Gone With the Wine: A Pour Decisions Romance

Rate this book
Jansen
I’m trying to start over after a soul-crushing end to my hockey career and my marriage—so I buy a winery. I have no idea what I’m doing, but at least I have a reason to get out of bed in the morning. I hate asking for help, but when I meet the winemaker next door, I’m jacked to have an excuse to see her again. She’s gorgeous and full of life, with grape juice-stained hands, a sunburnt nose, and long legs in cut-off shorts. But Bianca’s not so eager to help a grumpy rich celebrity who thinks he can just buy a winery and become a winemaker.

Bianca
Holy crap, I’ve inherited part of the family winery. That should be a dream come true, but I left Napa to get away from my family baggage. I have no choice but to go home and help my sisters get through harvest season, but I’ll be making a quick exit back to my rising star wine career in Argentina. Meanwhile, our new neighbor is a tall, dark, and ripped temptation. He needs a winemaker, and I need a lab—so we make a business deal. But while we work together picking, crushing, and fermenting, the attraction between us is causing another chemical reaction. And with wine and with life, it’s not healthy to keep things bottled up…

My Initial Thoughts

Now I know nothing about drink, being a non-drinker, so I had to ask my husband to tell me how to pronounce half of the wine. I went into this as I absolutely loved the idea of something different. I hadn’t read a romance, or any books with the wine making elements and was immediately intrigued. The cover is also extremely eye catching. I did however go into this without reading book 1 and as they are interconnected standalones, I didn’t miss to much and knew what was happening at all times. That being said I fully hope I have got the time to read book 1 before the last book is released!
I also like the fact that this is a trilogy of interconnected standalones (Following the 3 sisters) and all the books are each written by a different author, which I seem to be noticing more often but I’m all here for it.

Plot

I enjoyed the plot as they make their way through the difficulties of owning a winery and also starting from scratch. There’s a lot more here to focus on than just the romance and one of the biggest stand outs is the mental health rep for both Bee and Jenson, and I really loved the element that it touches on, reminding men that mental health is important to. The growth of these two characters was outstanding as they learn that they are themselves worthy of any kind of love and support. But most importantly that it is okay to be vulnerable.

Characters

Okay first of a little shout out to the one eared cutie Jack/Moose.. that little doggy pulled all my heart strings and he becomes a really big part of both characters lives, but more so for Jenson and his own mental health journey. I loved how complex the families relationships was for both MCs as it shows the real grit of family life and not feeling accepted or that you fit in with the family – something that I unfortunately have first hand experience in. I loved Bianca’s vibes, how smart she is and how she defies the men over women status within the winemaking community!
Jenson also has a big hand in defying the odds, when it comes to learning and keeping your just brought winery, without any first hand experience, but his gentleness shows, giving him full on cinnamon roll MMC vibes.

Recommend

If your looking for a romance, that helps defy the odds, shows mental health and being vulnerable is okay, plus lots of wine talk…. You need to pick this up!

Favourite Quotes

“He’s kind of a grumpy bear. A very attractive grumpy bear.”

“A winegasm. That little thrill you feel when you take your first sip of a really good wine.”

“I love it when you talk science to me.”

“We should have memories that make us happy, right?” “That’s all we ever really have, in the end.”

Favourite Chapter/s

My favourite chapters were 7, 19, 25, 26, 27 and 31 – so just a few…

Summed up in one sentence

The wine making romance I didn’t know I needed.

Overall Wrap up

Overall I enjoyed this, it could have been better yes, but also it could have been a lot worse. I enjoyed the overall concentration of mental health and wellbeing and had a blast learning so much about the wine making industry and how things work, including the science!
There was a few inconsistencies that lowered the bar for me a bit, so to speak, but overall this was a fun, romantic read.

Kelly Jamieson does it again with this spicy and emotional romance. I love that both Bianca and Jansen are trying to figure themselves out and where they belong because that feels so real. I also love how soon they realize they are meant to be together beyond their steamy fling. I found the information about how wineries work very interesting since I didn’t know much about it and the way she wrote about it made me feel as if I was there. Thank you to author Kelly Jamieson and Happily Booked PR for the opportunity to read this early.

ARC Review!

This book had it all: starting over, former hockey player (who doesn't love a hot hockey player), family saga and not to mention all things wine. The MFC comes home to help her sisters restore the family vineyard since the passing of her grandma and ends up running into the new guy in town. He just so happens to have purchased the vineyard next to hers (with no knowledge what-so-ever about wine making). These two find out quickly they have more in common than just their love of wine, the chemistry, the need to discover who they are and their place in this world truly draws these two together.

Gone with the Wine is such a fun, easy read for when you need something in-between all the drama. Grab your favorite glass of wine, sit back and enjoy the read!

First of all, as a person who loves to drink wine, this book was truly up my alley 🙂‍↕️ I thoroughly loved reading this book and couldn’t put it down for a second! I literally would come back home from teaching, curl up in my couch, with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc 🍷(if only the glass was white), and read this amazing book !! Although this is the second book in the series titled Pour Decisions (absolutely love this pun 😅), you don’t need to read the first book to understand the second book per se. These books are interconnected and I truly love the way that each book is based on a sister 🥰

Kelly Jamieson is truly a witch or an amazing, descriptive writer who thoroughly researched in the elements of wine making and what it consists of. I truly fell in love with her style of writing and the way she is able to bring to life the way wine connoisseurs work as a team, just like Bianca eventually does with her wine company.

This is the story of Bianca, the middle child who is easily forgotten and not paid any attention at all given that she had an older sister who always followed the rules and did what was expected of her. On the other hand, her younger sister can be free spirited and do whatever her heart desires. Bianca escapes Napa to pursue her dreams of becoming someone one day and spends her time in Mendoza, Argentina, crafting the wines she wishes she could do at her family’s winery. Given the tragic death of her grandma, her plans are put on pause and she returns back home to see everyone and say farewell to her grandma:)

Jansen is only trying to start his life over after his life came crashing down when he retired from his hockey career and his wife cheated on him. He ends up buying a winery impulsively and is trying his best to move on from what his life used to be. However, he didn’t expect to meet Bianca, his next door neighbor and winemaker, who makes his heart beat a bit faster than usual.

This is the story of two people figuring out what they want in life and trying to understand what their future life’s consist of. Jansen is trying to start over and prove to everyone that he can run a winery. While Bianca is trying to prove to the world, especially her uncle, that she can be a fantastic winemaker, despite being a girl. At the same time, they are trying their best to figure out how the other person fits into their life without feeling like they are giving up who they are as a person. Kelly Jamieson does a fantastic job in her writing to convey both Bianca’s and Jameson’s thoughts and emotions through their inner monologues. I truly enjoyed reading this book and now I’m going to read the first book titled No Way Rose while I wait for the last book in the series 🙂‍↕️

Gone With the Wine: A Pour Decisions Romance is the second book of this three book series. Each book focuses on one of the three sisters that have inherited part of a winery from their grandmother, and this is Bianca's story.

Bianca wanted to be in the wine industry...just not the one owned by her family in Napa Valley. After graduating from Cornell, she took an internship at Castillo Lorenzo Winery in Argentina. She is currently the assistant wine maker and loves her job. Bianca stayed in Argentina because she wants to make a name for herself. She knew if she went back home she would be brushed aside like her Nonna was at the family winery. However, all of that changes when her Nonna dies and leaves part of the winery to Bianca and her two sisters, Rosa and Allegra.

Jansen is a retired pro hockey player that is trying to figure out what to do next in life. As if that wasn't difficult enough, his wife cheated on him leaving him completely broken and depressed. His friends eventually help him out of his slump, and that's when he makes a decision. Jansen decides to put those business courses he took in college to use...and he buys a vineyard! Everyone thinks he lost his mind, but he's determined to make it work! Now he just needs to convince his winemaker neighbor to help him!

The story that unfolds is pure joy to follow! The characters are extremely well-written and well-developed...and their chemistry is off the charts! Both Bianca and Jansen are in the process of rebuilding their lives, and both need each other in order to achieve their goals. The problem is that both have been burned in the past, so trusting each other is an issue.

This is a wonderfully written story about starting over, second chances, dealing with family, and learning to believe in yourself as well as others. This is a slow burn love story, as well as a story filled with humor and heart. Overall, I truly loved following Bianca and Jansen's journey both in business and their personal one.

I received an ARC from Kelly Jamieson. My views are my own and are in no way influenced by anyone else.

What a delightful book! Gone With the Wine is the story of Bianca, a winemaker who comes home to run her inherited vineyard with her two sisters, Rosa and Allegra. The middle sister still reeling from their parents’ abandonment, Bianca struggles with her place in her extended family, with her sisters, in their small hometown, and in the wine industry. It is also the story of Jansen, a former hockey star struggling to find his new purpose in life now that hockey is no longer his identity. Still hurting from his divorce and worried that he’s in over his head with his impulse purchase of a winery, Jansen is also trying to carve out a new life for himself in this small town, where gossip flows like the wine the region produces. Jansen and Bianca form a business arrangement to get both of their wineries producing and bottling during the harvest. And they also realize that maybe they each have to let go of their pasts in order to have a future.

I love a family saga! I love a big family with boisterous dinner scenes and strong women growing and supporting each other. I also love me some hockey players . Bianca is such an easy character to love and understand - I’m NOT the middle sister but felt her internal struggles of self-worth and her place in the family acutely. Jansen is a big gruff lovable hunk. A hockey star who needs to heal his heart and falls hard for a stray dog? A guy who finds a woman’s expertise in an industry sexy and alluring? Yes, please. The chemistry between Jansen and Bianca is like a good malbec - velvety and smooth and oh so satisfying.

I want more of the Pour Decisions series, and I also want to try Bianca’s orange wine that she dreams of! I look forward to returning to the Napa Valley and these three sisters. And some more steamy scenes in front of a fireplace that make you feel a little wine drunk. Gone With the Wine is better than your favorite glass of vino - and no headache the next day!

⭐️⭐️⭐️️⭐️/ ️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Starting over is never easy. Kelly Jamieson reminds her readers of this in her newest release, Gone With the Wine, book two of her Pour Decisions series. Both of our MCs find themselves starting over in different ways, but find themselves being drawn to each other and possibly wanting to start over together.

Jansen Black’s is desperate for a new start. Buying a winery in Napa Valley was never on his top ten list of things to do, but his life needs a drastic change. He finds this new adventure both fun and educational. Giving his life new meaning also comes with new complications. When he meets his neighbor, a seasoned wine maker who isn’t loving the idea of a former pro athlete playing winemaker.

Bianca thought she would never go back to Napa, but inheriting a portion of her family’s winery, along with her sisters, she returns home, planning to stay only through harvest season. She has promised herself no distractions, then she meets her newest neighbor. Despite him being ridiculously handsome, she can’t help but think he is in over his head. When a business deal brings them to have to work together, the chemistry reaches a boiling point.

Kelly delivers two hurting individuals and writes a story about second chances, coming home and finding home. Jansen and Bianca sizzle on page and when their sizzle ignites, Kelly holds nothing back for her readers. Her stories never fail to bring heartwarming romance, reminding you of the power of family, and that you can always come home, no matter what. I also love the nuances of home is where your heart is vs it only being a physical place. A wonderful story that gives you all the feels!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Gone with the Wine is a warm, slow-simmer romance that pairs emotional depth with irresistible charm—and a whole lot of wine. Set against the golden backdrop of Napa Valley, this is the story of two people in the middle of personal upheaval, finding a second chance at life and love in the most unexpected of places: a vineyard.

Jansen, a former hockey star licking the wounds of a shattered career and broken marriage, impulsively buys a winery in an effort to rebuild himself. He’s grumpy, a bit lost, and completely out of his element. Enter Bianca, a passionate winemaker with roots she tried to escape and a rising career she’s desperate to return to. Their reluctant business partnership sets the stage for one of the most satisfying enemies-to-lovers arcs in contemporary romance.

The chemistry between Jansen and Bianca is palpable from the start, but what really stands out is how their emotional growth mirrors the winemaking process itself—raw, messy, and totally worth the wait. With witty banter, real vulnerability, and steamy moments that are as rich as a full-bodied red, Gone with the Wine serves up a story that’s both comforting and intoxicating.

More than just a romance, this book explores themes of identity, legacy, and finding your footing when life pulls the rug out from under you. The vineyard setting is lush and vivid, and the supporting cast—especially Bianca’s sisters—adds just the right amount of humor and heart.

Whether you’re a wine lover or just a fan of heartfelt, character-driven love stories, Gone with the Wine is a delicious read that goes down smooth and lingers long after the last page.

"In vino veritas" ~ "in wine, there is truth."

~ His voice, it’s rich and smooth like red wine, expensive sheets, like slow sex.

Right from the first page, Gone with the Wine promises drama, heart, and laughs—and it delivers.

Bianca is a force to be reckoned with, carrying the weight of family tradition on her shoulders. You can’t help but cheer for her and the legacy of strong women like Nonna. When will men learn that women are more than capable?

Uncle Geno? Let’s just say I’m not a fan.

The story brought back deep emotions for me—I resonated with Bianca’s connection to her grandparents’ home, having spent my own childhood summers in a place full of memories that’s now gone. That nostalgia hit hard.

And the surprises? They just keep coming! Jamieson’s writing sparkles with humor and personality—“Sweet buttery Jesus on a breadstick” may just be my new favorite line. The name-dropping and witty commentary had me laughing out loud more times than I can count. If you know, you know.

What really stood out was how vividly the book engages all five senses. From the aromas of the vineyard to the taste of fine wine, it’s a sensory experience—even for someone like me who isn’t a wine drinker. By the end, I felt like I could open my own winery (well, almost).

The book also dives into how tightly people cling to tradition, and the emotional tension that brings. While I wasn’t totally sold on every aspect, including the steamier chapters, I genuinely enjoyed the ride and look forward to reading the rest of the series—especially Allegra’s story.

Just recently finished Gone With the Wine by Kelly Jamieson, and wow—this book poured emotion, charm, and chemistry into every single page! From the moment Bianca returns to Napa, I was so invested into the story. She's FIERCE, driven, and so unapologetically passionate about winemaking, even when family drama and old wounds try to drag her down. And then there’s Jansen—retired hockey star turned confused-but-very determined vineyard owner. He’s grumpy, gorgeous, and totally out of his depth, which makes their tension-filled dynamic sooo DELICIOUS. Their back-and-forth banter had me smiling, swooning, and wanting to shake them more than once (in the best way of course!!!)

What I loved most was how layered this story felt. It wasn’t just about the slow-burn romance (which was HAWTTTTT), but also about legacy, identity, and taking a second chance on LIFE and LOVE. Watching Bianca and Jansen navigate both their vineyards and their feelings felt like the perfect metaphor—raw, messy, and worth every SINGLE drop. The Napa Valley setting added so much richness, and the side characters brought that sweet and cozy found-family vibe I absolutely adore. I’m so grateful to HBPR and Kelly Jamieson for letting me ARC read this book!

I was gifted an Arc copy of this book, but being the second book in the series I went back and read the first book first - which I'm glad I did! It was a wonderful story and lead perfectly into this one.

Bianca and her two sisters have inherited her Nonnas family winery, so she returns from her winemaking job in Argentina to help with the harvest and get the winery up and running again. While in town she meets Jansen, the ex famous hockey player who has bought the winery next door but knows nothing about wine!

They come to a mutual agreement - Bianca will help Jansen with his winemaking if she can use his state of the art lab to test her own family grapes. But working together brings about an attraction that neither of them can fight. Trouble is, Jansen is still getting over a cheating ex wife and Bianca has a job to go back to in Argentina.

I loved the setting for this story and all the information about the whole harvesting and wine making process. It was a perfect slow burn love story with quite a bit of spice (and I'm not talking about the wine!) This book continues from the first book No Way, Rose, with more of the story about the family feud with Uncle Geno and the cousins.
Steps are made towards a truce in this book but still a little way to go. Looking forward to the third book in the series.

Thank you to @kellyjamiesonauthor and @happilybookedpr for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
There is no time for romance, especially when you are only going to be home for a month. Although special circumstances could be made when they come in perfectly fitted jeans and t-shirt. At least that’s one of things on Bianca’s mind. The other is that she’s still in shock that her grandmother left her and her sisters a winery. Her life is not here, it’s in Argentina, but would she stay for the winery?
This was such a fun quick read that just keeps getting better as the story continues. First, there’s family drama, there’s some attraction going between Bianca and Jansen the retired hockey player that owns the winery next door, and then there’s continuing in her grandmother’s footsteps as a female winemaker.
I enjoyed the chemistry between Jansen and Bianca and appreciated the fact that they were both kind of stuck. It seemed like they both had really good lives, but Jansen divorced his wife for cheating on him and Bianca enjoys her family most from a distance. Because of their issues, he wasn’t looking for love ever again, and she mostly ignored her family and focused on the winery. It took Bianca’s sister to open up for Bianca to realize maybe you can stop running and enjoy life.
If you are in the mood for an age gap romance between two hotties, grab a glass of wine and enjoy this one.

Gone with the Wine: A Pour Decisions Romance is Jansen and Bianca’s heartwarming and entertaining story and I loved everything about it from the great characters to the witty banter and everything in between. This is book two in the Pour Decisions Series written by multiple authors.
Jansen is trying to start afresh after a soul-crushing end to his hockey career and his marriage. Buying a winery seemed like a good idea at the time but now he needs to ask for help from the winemaker next door……
Problem is that winemaker is a gorgeous woman who haunts his dreams.
Briana wants nothing to do with the celebrity who brought a winery on a whim and who has no idea what he’s doing. She is only home to help her sisters get through this harvest and then she is heading back to her rising star career as winemaker in Argentina. To make this years wine successful she needs a lab and her grumpy neighbor has one so could she strike a deal, her knowledge for his lab…….
What follows is a steamy, witty, entertaining and at times emotional read. Gone with the wine is like consuming a full bodied red and it was a great read. The banter is witty, the characters are easy to love but was watching the slow simmer as these enemies went from neighbors to lovers that added extra depth.

Book 2 in the Pour Decisions trilogy but can be read as a standalone.

Bianca grew up in California on her family’s winery but moves to Argentina after college to work with wine there and to get away from the family she never quite fit into. When her Nan dies and leaves one of the two families merged wineries to her and her two sisters to run as a separate female run company (much to her uncles disgust), she has to return to get things up and running.

Meanwhile, the owners of the neighbouring winery have sold it to a retired hockey player Jansen who has no experience whatsoever.

After meeting through mutual friends, Bianca offers to help show Jansen the ropes but will spending time together lead to something more than friendship. Also, as Bianca’s family fractures due to the division of the wineries, will they reunite or will Bianca cut her losses and return to Argentina?

I really enjoyed this book. The friendships and relationships seem believable and I like how the romance gradually happens. I also like the dynamics between Bianca and her family as there is tension that is quite often missing from books.

I loved the setting and really felt like I could visualise being on a winery in Napa. I also feel like I learnt a bit about wine making too!

Overall this was a lovely book to read and I’m going to make sure I read the rest of the series as this book ends leading into the next which follows Bianca’s younger sister.

I enjoyed this. I haven't read a book that talks about the ins and outs of wine making. And the science behind it. I learned a lot while I was reading this. I don't drink, let alone wine. I knew a little, but it was very little.

What to expect:

🍇 Coming home

🌻 Starting over

🍇 Former hockey player

🌻 Family saga

I give this 3🌶. I enjoyed reading this, and I can't wait to read the other 2 and see how they turned out. With the books having different authors, I'm cerious how they mesh together.

This is book 2 in the interconnected standalones. I did not read book one. I did not feel disconnected or lost, but I do want to read it. Book one is about a winery as well (No way Rosé). This series follows 3 sisters, and all of the books are written by different authors. Im cerious how their story's flow.

I love how this represented mental health and how important it's for men as well. I think we need more awareness for men's mental. We were raised to believe men are tough and they don't have feelings, but they do. We deal with our own struggles and demons. mental health doesn't care who you are. That's why it is so important. I am sure I did not bring that out right, but I'm glad to see men caring about their mental health. I'm glad to see this is being more normalized.

I love a story with a younger woman and older man!

Bianca has been summoned back to Napa Valley to her family’s vineyard. Her Nana left her side of the winery to the three sisters. Even though she is flourishing in Argentina making her own wine, she has to help her sister Rosa.

Bianca has been gone for several years and she’s apprehensive in returning. Her uncle who has been running the winery, is angry, and doesn’t understand why his mother wanted to separate the wineries and have her granddaughters run her half.

Jansen doesn’t know anything about running a winery, but he’s determined to learn. After he retired from the NHL, he was on a downward spiral. After he found out his wife was having an affair with one of his teammates, his depression got worse. If it wasn’t for his teammates, who knows where he would be now. Buying the winery was his escape.

Now Bianca and Jansen are helping each other with their prospective wineries. Both of them have strong feelings for each other. Jansen feels he’s too old for Bianca, but it’s getting harder everyday resisting her.

With Bianca planning to return to Argentina, a fling would be a great way to get these feelings out. Will she stay, or will Jansen give up his winery.

Gone With the Wine by Kelly Jamieson is the kind of romantic escape that made me laugh, swoon, and fall completely in love with the characters. As someone who was lucky enough to be part of the ARC Team—and who had never read Kelly Jameson before—I was blown away by how much I adored this book!

From the clever title to the sparkling dialogue and rich setting, everything about this story felt fresh, fun, and effortlessly charming. The chemistry between the leads sizzled from the start, but it was the emotional layers underneath the humor and flirtation that truly made the romance shine.

I loved the way the author blended humor, heart, and wine-country charm into a perfectly balanced read. The characters felt real and relatable, with just the right amount of vulnerability and growth. Their banter was witty, the pacing flowed beautifully, and the romance hit all the right notes—tender, sexy, and genuinely satisfying.

This was my first Kelly Jamieson book, but it definitely won’t be my last. Her voice is engaging, her storytelling is vibrant, and Gone With the Wine was a total delight from start to finish.

3.5 Stars - I hadn’t read the first book in this series, but didn’t feel as if I needed to (although I will go back and read it now because I am so curious!). I liked Bianca and Jansen individually but honestly liked them more as a couple. They brought out the best in each other in such a great complementary way.

I enjoyed their story and how they each had individual challenges to overcome. Jansen burnt by his wife’s cheating and subsequent divorce, and Bianca’s disconnect from her family. The overarching connection, though, are their neighboring wineries and harvesting each. Working together and Bianca teaching Jansen was a great way to development their relationship and the struggles there were very relatable. I say this next with the caveat that I am not a wine person at all - but all the super detailed, technical wine stuff was too much for me. It pulled me out of the story. While some was absolutely necessary to establish Bianca’s expertise, it was A LOT. Overall, a fun, enjoyable story. I will read the first one and the next in the series.

Thanks to Happily Booked PR and Kelly Jamieson for the ARC!

Jansen has retired from hockey and is now a proud winery owner in Napa Valley. While he's struggling with some inner demons, the winery demands his attention during harvest season. Learning the process as he goes along, he doesn't expect the girl next door to teach him everything she knows about wine and how to live life to the fullest.

Bianca has been living in and making wine in Argentina. When she realizes she's inherited her grandmother's winery, she heads back to Napa Valley just in time for harvest season. She catches the eye, well ear, of the man who owns the winery next door. Together they work to improve their respective wineries, growing their labels, but also growing with one another.

This was a sweet and spicy story that was very well written. Whether you're interested in learning about wine or love, I highly recommend checking it out. Oh, and that ending? Well, I can't wait to find out what's going on with Allegra.

GONE WITH THE WINE is a book by Kelly Jamieson in a new series, Pour Decisions about three sisters from a winemaking family in Napa Valley. Each of the three books are written by a different author. This novel is about the middle sister, Bianca, who has come home on leave from her job as the assistant winemaker at a vineyard in Argentina. She had come home to help with the harvest at the vineyard she and her sisters had inherited from their grandmother. While at home, she agreed to help their new neighbor, Jansen. Jansen was a retired professional hockey player who had purchased the vineyard next to them, but was having difficulty hiring a winemaker for his vineyard. This is an enemies to lovers, former hockey player, coming home, family saga series, starting over, no strings attached, contemporary romance novel and the first I’ve read by this author which is only really hockey adjacent rather than truly being a hockey romance! I loved both Jansen and Bianca and loved what they built together. Both had a lot of childhood issues to move past in order to make their relationship work, but I loved how both listened to feedback from friends and applied that feedback to take a new look at their lives and find their HEA. I recommend this book for readers who would enjoy a spicy, wine themed contemporary romance novel. I found this a fun read and I bet you will too!

I received a fee ARC of this novel via Happily Booked PR and I am voluntarily writing this honest review.

thank you to Happily Booked PR and Kelly Jamieson for the eARC. I really enjoyed reading Bianca and Jansen's story.

Bianca is back in Napa after the death of her Nonna. She's been crushing it in the wine world over in Argentina, creating new wines and exploring different taste combinations. Her Nonna's passing has really rocked her and her sisters, though. Even more so when they discover that part of the family winery has been left to them.

Jansen is trying to put all his broken pieces back together after his divorce and retiring from playing professional hockey. It's time to try something new. So when he buys the Winery next door to Bianca and her sisters, the last thing he expects is to meet someone new.

I love the sunshine x grumpy combination. Bianca is funny and sweet, although lacking in the confidence to back herself. Jansen is sporting that tough outer shell, until Bianca cracks it wide open.
There's a lot of healing going on in this book, betrayals from each of their pasts. They both have something to prove, mostly to themselves, but also to the world.

5 Star Review Gone With The Wine (Pour Decisions #2) by Kelly Jamieson

Having read the first book in the Pour Decisions trilogy, I couldn’t wait to read the next sister Bianca and the man who captures her heart, Jansen.

This was a well written, entertaining story that kept me invested from the first paragraph to the last.

The characters were way to relate too, their banter witty and seeing some familiar faces just added to my enjoyment.

With her co-owner sisters Allegra and Rosa they are determined to make their inherited winery a success and prove the doubters wrong.

Jansen is an ex professional hockey player who ironically purchased Rosa’s husband’s family winery and Bianca has returned home to help with the family winery.

Despite their initial reaction to one another it is obvious that an attraction lies between them.

Will Bianca give up her promising career in Argentina and take a chance on love?

One click and find out.

Gone With the Wine follows both Bianca and Jansen. Bianca is away from the town where she grew up, due to unfortunate circumstances, but she ended up coming back. Jensen had a shocking turn of events when his life career -hockey- came to an end, as well as his previous marriage. Gone With the Wine is set in a small town, with there being an age gap between Jansen and Bianca that also calls for found family. With Biana coming back to town, that calls for both of them to start over. Bianca was great, she was very headstrong or strong-willed, I also like the fact that she was brave to come home and try to make her path after what had happened. Jansen, what was nice about him was that he was trying to find something new after always doing what he always knew. Both of these characters seemed very raw and real, meaning that their problems felt real, at least to me, sorry I don't know how to describe it.

Ahhhh, I am never sad when I read a book my Kelly Jamieson (even the ones that make me cry). Kelly always manages to take me away and make me feel as I am a part of the story and she absolutely did that in Gone With the Wine. I am not a wine drinker yet, I found myself so invested in what Jansen and Bianca were trying to achieve as she helped him understand everything it takes to make wine and run a winery and as she works with her sisters to lovingly bring back the winery their late grandmother left to them despite the rift it caused between them and their uncle. The vivid descriptions of the land, the grapes, the process of wine making helped me feel as I was there. These characters had layers and baggage, but working together they realized sometimes having someone by your side and in your corner makes life all that much better. I truly enjoyed every moment of this book. Well done Kelly!

This a fun and delightful read. The setting, characters, and love story are fantastic!

Jansen is an ex- hockey player looking to start a new life direction. He doesn’t really know what he’s doing but is working hard to figure it all out. Bianca becomes a great partner and helps educate him.

Bianca has just received some life changing news that will keep her state side for some time. She is very passionate about making wine, is talented but also holding onto some burdens. She does’t feel seen or heard by her sisters. Jansen is so kind and caring towards her..makes her feel seen.

Love this story between Bianca and Jansen..they are both facing life changing decisions and become great friends, confidants and eventually lovers. They have such a natural way around one another..the banter and chemistry is fantastic!

This is the first book I’ve read by Kelly and I really enjoyed it!

I had a really fantastic time reading this one! Although oddly enough it wasn't even really due to the romance.
Don't get me wrong the romance was steamy and full of tension and the 🌶 scenes gave me everything I wanted.
But, what was even more fun that all of that was the winery itself and the character development of our lead woman! I was so invested in Bianca's pursuit of her passions! I'll admit I don't know much about wine to even know if the sciencey wine stuff in here was accurate. However I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of nerdy wine speak. Jamieson writes the most lush and engaging descriptions of the intricacies of a grape. I almost want to go open my own winery now!
I'll definitely be checking out not only other books from this series, but more work from Kelly Jamieson as well!

Book Two in the Pour Decisions Series by Kelly Jamieson has us meeting retired hockey player Jansen Black & Bianca Martinelli a Winemaker both of them trying to find their way once again.
Jansen buys himself a Winery not knowing really what he’s doing but taking the chance for a new path but when he meets Bianca he knows that he not only finds her attractive but he knows her expertise will help him too.
Bianca always felt lost and forgotten when it came to her family but when she and her sisters inherit part of her family’s winery she knows she needs to come home and try to make it succeed.
Jansen & Bianca both have unresolved personal issues but they know that together they can trust the other to overcome them and try to not only succeed in their career but their personal lives too.
