I had seen the documentary years ago. What an incredibly suspicious, reckless, unimaginable negligence on behalf of the SDPD.
The book is an extremely detailed and heartbreaking account of what Rebecca’s family (especially her loving sister) endured in how they were treated, silenced, and ignored throughout the investigation and years later.
Mary has honored her sister by being her voice, her loudest and most fierce advocate, and continues to dignify her memory with this painful story.
Through out the book, I felt gutted and angry and sad. But I’m glad to know the story of Rebecca and her family.

This book was written by my dermatologist, so it was very personal for me. I can’t even imagine having to endure this kind of treatment by law enforcement. The final chapters outline significant health issues as well. She has been through the wringer, that’s for sure. Can’t wait to watch the documentary.

Mary is an acquaintance of mine and I can't imagine the torment of these people that do not see what is right in front of them. God save us from these people that are so easily swayed to do wrong for reward.

Amazing book
Such an amazing book. I've read about this case a lot but often seen Rebecca as only the girl who died. Her sister makes an amazing work of bringing her to life, make reader feel like they knew her. Honestly so so recommend this book
