The Millionaire Master Plan: Your Personalized Path to Financial Success

Rate this book
The Millionaire Master Plan is a unique and fresh approach as to how individuals can not only get a sense of where they stand on the spectrum of personal wealth, but more importantly, how they can learn to ascend from their present state to a higher level. Roger James Hamilton, himself a highly successful entrepreneur and successful investor, has designed nine steps - from barely surviving - all the way to the highest level of ultimate wealth for life - and he lays out his nine steps in an easy-to-understand color-coded manner that ranges from red (barely living paycheck-to-paycheck) all the way to ultra-violet (where generating income is simply no longer a worry). Along the way, the reader first takes a quick test to determine where one is on the financial spectrum, and then Hamilton provides key insights and practical tips as to how one can progress to the next level. You track your progress by ascending from one color to the next.

A total waste of time. The book is designed to get your e-mail and promises to lift you to a higher level like a scientology plan based on free personality tests.

Save your money and look for other ways towards financial success.

The title made me 🤢… But: A friend I highly respect (personally and businesswise) recommended this book a few years ago to me. It helped him to make some crucial business and life decisions.

Finally… I read it. I also took the tests (I’m serious). But the content is so fluffy, no value, just calendar anecdotes on 250 pages. I give this book 2 instead of one star because the general message is important: One has to understand the levers that make things in life and business work in order to act in ones favour.

I would probably not advise anyone who believes in overnight success to read this remarkable book. Mr. Hamilton clearly demonstrates that success is a lifelong process that continues until our final breath. However, this book does not merely discuss the usual and superficial ideas, such as letting money work for you or simply manifesting positive outcomes. While such advice may be beneficial, it is not universally applicable. Most popular self-help or “get-rich” books tend to ignore the fact that every reader finds themselves in a unique situation.

In contrast, Mr. Hamilton carefully distinguishes between what is useful and what is not, depending on one’s individual circumstances. Moreover, he does not focus exclusively on the upper class or high-level entrepreneurs, but begins with what he calls the “Infrared Level,” referring to those who are struggling to pay their bills. Additionally, the book provides a step-by-step plan following each chapter, recognizing that knowledge alone is merely potential power. In this domain of life, theory without action yields no real benefit, action is what truly matters.

I highly recommend this book!

This was a tough one to rate because it's a great book the really outlines the path to wealth in an organized way that makes it easy to follow and understand. It breaks the journey into a 9 step climb up the "Wealth Lighthouse" with what you should and shouldn't do at each stop on your journey. He then breaks it down further into what particular personality types do better than others to help guide you on your way. I can certainly see myself revisiting this to check where I am on the climb to the lighthouse and helping me choose my next steps.

HOWEVER...and this is a big one, due to the way it's written only a small fraction of the book actually applies to you at any given time between it trying to capture the entire journey of wealth into one book and then also breaking each step down by personality traits. This made me want to give it a 3 or even a 2 but it wouldn't be right because the knowledge inside is great but it was really hard to finish and stay engaged once I got past the immediate step I'm currently on.

The secret is…we are all the Lighthouse, and its purpose is not only to illuminate oneself but to others.

I was recommended to read this book to understand more about doing business, and the author certainly has taken me higher to get the bird’s eye view of how many successful businessmen progress one stage after another to reach to their highest potential. The teaching is also quite zen, in the sense that there’re more on our inner reflection of what we are good at (the 4 types Dynamo, Blaze, Steel and ?) and how we can expand that personal strength to work on a business most represent us. It’s more than about making money, but what we are worth and by taping our own talents how will wealth (to self and others) be created.

Takeaways :

1. Embracing your unique genius is key to unlocking your potential for financial success and personal fulfillment. Identifying whether you are a Dynamo, Blaze, Tempo, or Steel genius allows you to align your efforts with your strengths, leading to a more authentic and rewarding journey.

2. Understanding your role in the Wealth Lighthouse framework helps you navigate the stages of financial mastery, offering a clear path from hardship to independence. By applying these insights, you can achieve greater financial stability, build effective teams, and take charge of your financial future.

Interesting view of the introduction of wealth pyramid to gauge which stage you’re in and what might be next steps for you. Also good in categories people into 4 types and strategy for people to better apply their talent. Probably more suitable for people looking to own their business but overall an interesting read.

The ideas and standards in this book are changing my life. It's filled with grounded, actionable advice on creating more wealth and value. One of the few methodologies that takes you step by step through stages of wealth building, instead of painting pictures of wealthy people and saying, "Just do everything they do!"

I can't recommend this book enough. Look past whatever idiosyncrasies in the book you find so that you can really look at the heart of what is being said.

Genius! Roger created a simple and easy to follow master plan for wealth creation. It was a little repetitive at time and the book could have been a little more concise but it's pure genius (Dynamo style).

I got really hooked when I read that each genius has a different style and dances on different levels. It made so much sense to me when he explained about the multiple streams of income and/or focusing on one thing at a time.

I highly recommend it.

Excellent book. I created a program out of this book and took my clients through a journey to grow their business and get their finances in order. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Roger Hamilton and everything he writes and teaches. It's solid real-world business work to do to improve all areas of your life and he incorporates our spiritual beings into it as well.

Very easy to read .

Its probably best to tell everyone that this book is ment for people who have businesses or want to build one and are trying to elevate it to the next level.

What got me to read this book was obviously the title. Would i have know it was intirely dedicated to business owners i wouldn't of picked it up .

Very useful for entrepreneurs.

Overall, the book wasn’t that bad. I don’t know that it lives up to being “your personalized path to financial success”since it just puts you as one of 4 genius types and provides instructions that way. I appreciate the general advice and sentiment from the book though re: needing to change what you’re doing in order to move up a level on the lighthouse. It’s probably a decent reference book but not one to just read through for most people.

A great overview of a wealth system in our world. General enough to fit the majority of people but specific enough so that individuals can learn from it.
The idea is great and the book explains it quite well, although I find the genius system lacking compared to other systems of personalities.

One thing that I was missing was the information about employed people. The writer is a business owner and the main point of view is of a business owner, but there are certain levels that you can reach as an employee, for which there are some examples but the book is lacking depth on that part.

Overall a great, eye-opening book. A lot of useful information.

Each business book I read has a different perspective. What I took from this is that each of us is at a different level of success, therefore paths to success differ. They differ in systematic ways according to the author. A good guide to have at your side, an easy five star for me.

After the first chapter, I thought this was going to be business astrology drivel.

However, it had loads of ideas and described places where people tend to get stuck. I bought a hardcopy to go along with my audiobook.

This is a great blueprint for those who want to know where they are on the wealth scale.

Note: that this is mostly for those who have a company they own. Only 1 group become wealthy working in someone elses company.

I didn't have to take the online test and give away my email address (to get more emails) to figure out that I am people smart (blaze genius) and am at a level three (worker- work hard to earn a living) while often feeling like a level two. My plans align well with the dos and dont's of moving to leavel 4 in the entreprise prism.

can’t find the resources as mentioned in the book

The book mentions resources like Flight Path Plan, Score Tracker and promotion playbook, I visited the millionaire website but can’t find any of them. Better to provide the link to download in the book.

The most compelling framework I've yet encountered for plotting a personalized wealth building journey. The "lighthouse" levels concept is not completely new, as I've already encountered something similar. And although I've also encountered the "lean on your strengths" and "build a complementary team" philosophies, the author's combination of his "lighthouse" levels with his "personal geniuses"--and accompanying steps to take/avoid to climb the lighthouse--is itself a bit of genius. I can see now how every other wealth building advice book could likely fit within the spectrum of the author's framework. There's a lot to like in this one.
