First I must say, I received an ARC for an honest review. Now that I've said this I have to say that I LOVE this series! Tess gives you so much to think about with her characters, are they good, are they bad? Just when I think I figure it out, switch! She's makes the pages come alive, you're right there in the middle of it all and fighting right along side Luke and Angel for a way out. I read this in one sitting and can't wait for the next book. She once again left you at wanting more.

This is the second installment in a five part series. I remember coming away from the first story with a view of a desolate and gritty place in the desert, but hope for humanity for these characters at the very end. This story picks up with Luke (Reno) and Angel still in the MC compound. The book primarily focuses on Luke's backstory and how he got to where he is today now that he remembers. We learn more about growing up with Dex and working together as DEA agents, including what brought them to this point. We also get a little more about Luke's brothers, Gabe and Seth (Luke's fraternal twin).
The grandfather. Oh geez, it's hard to think someone like him could exist and essentially be keeping everyone there as prisoners (in fact, Jericho makes that point at the end). He actually makes me like Gunner, and I remember you're not supposed to like him at all from the first book. I do continue to be confused about how many people are living in this village of cabins. Angel, Angel's pop-pop, Jericho (continue to hope for more with his story), Max (always associated with the gate), Gunner the brainiac, Chase (strong silent type always makes me swoon), Chance the horse!, Gracie (pies?), Candy (hostess with the mostest), and maybe one other? If that is all that's there, I'm kind of surprised someone doesn't take them out... maybe when they all go to bed or half of them go on a run?
The gritty feel is still there up until the end when you're again given that glimmer of something cleaner and better for Luke and Angel. Yes, the book does end unsettled and unfinished. Since the next story doesn't come out for several weeks, at least this cliffhanger doesn't have me pulling my hair out. I'm looking forward to how it all plays out in the end!

I love this series and I loved this book! I received an ARC from the author for an honest review and honestly I hope I get the ARC for book three too cause I am so hooked I can't wait to read the rest!
We return back to Bedlam MC and Dreygon is getting more violent and crazier than ever. Angel is so in love with Luke and he is there for her - she is his and he is hers but although he now remembers that he is a DEA agent he still hasn't shared that with Angel yet. But he intends to and he plans on getting her out and taking her away for their happily ever after but....
Dreygon has plans to marry Angel off to a rival MC future Prez in order to grow the club. He takes the MC including Luke and Angel to the local bar and all hell breaks loose when two members from the rival Bent for Hell gang walks out the door and Luke recognizes one of them. He nails the guy and as the biker stares into a face he believes to have been long dead Luke lets him know he will be coming for him... Inside the Cruisers MC are there to hook Angel up to her future- unknown to her- husband ...but Luke is done- she is his if he has to fight every man in there for her....so after a violent affray Luke and Angel leave and after being retrieved by the crazy Dregon it's back to the compound..
Luke has to keep his cover and accompanies the members on an arms run where they get ambushed by the Bent to Hells and he kills one so when they get back Dregon gets a phone call from the Hells and Luke's cover is blown - he has been recognized because the Hells at the bar were part of the ones that killed Dex and left him for dead...
But things are never what they seem and when Cash is sent to kill Luke he is pleasantly surprised when Cash sets him free and offers assistance with a case so he can leave the craziness that Bedlam has become..
This story just keeps evolving- never stalls and keeps growing momentum! Twists and turns, action, hot love scenes and complicated situations makes for a must read!! Cannot wait for the next one- things are heating up fast!

Wow this series just gets better and better......
I was provided with an ARC for an honest review so here it is !
This is book 2 in the series and Tess has really ramped up the heat.
We leave book one where "Reno" aka Luke has had his "come to jesus" moment and remembered everything. All the crap he has suffered and reliving the pain and circumstances of Dex's loss.
Needless to say he's now knee deep with murders and this is gonna have massive implications on his relationship with Angel. Shes the granddaughter of Dreygon Sharpe after all.
Quick catch up - Dreygon is a big time MC president with psychotic tendencies, who incidentally Luke is trying to bring down within his real life job.
Moving on.....
Book 2 starts with Luke's true i.d being made. Yep, this doesn't go down well as you can imagine. Tess really starts to heap on the drama, angst and nail biting bits as we see how Luke's reveal impacts on everything.
Believe me this twist being the focus of book 2 really does bring the thrill. S**t gets real for Luke and Angel. Wars a coming for the MC's/DEA agents. Lovin it !!!!!!
There is also big shocker in book 2 which I did not see coming. I actually felt really sad about the death when I read it.
The character in question was such a sweetie. But reflecting, I guess her death helped as a catalyst for Angel to make her move and get the hell out of dodge (so to speak).
The book ends with yet another cliffy and although as I have already stated I usually hate these types of endings. However as the book is just sooo damn good I can over look that and just wait with grabby hands for book 3.
I really would recommend this series to any-body who enjoys romance, action, smokin' HOT guy's and just a bloody good story line, well this series is for you. Its a Winner !!!
I cannot wait for book 3.

Rain Shadow,Book 2 picks up right where Book 1 ended. In this second part we learn more about Luke's life before he is trapped in the Motorcycle club and we learn more about what happened to bring him here. As the days go by, Draygon keeps a close eye on Luke, and continually has him performing little tests to try to draw him out and see who he really is.
Angel and Luke have started having serious feelings for each other, and although Angel wants to be with Luke more than anything, she is not sure of a life outside the motorcycle club's compound.
Several events occur which brings everything so far to a head, and you will have to read this book to find out, but it ended in a hell of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read Book 3 to see what happens.
This part of the book is well written and there are so many things that happen it makes the plot twist and turn and it leaves one wondering where this is going to end up. There is a lot of emotional angst as well as physical abuse towards some of the characters, as well as a lot of hatred out in the open between some of the men, as well as hidden, by others. A couple of other things happen in this part that will wrench your heart!
This book is,in my opinion, some of the author's best writing to date and that says a lot because everything she has written has been awesome. I just hope everybody reads it because if you do not you will be missing out on an excellent book. I thank the author for an ARC and this is my honest review, and I can't wait for part 3 to come out!

This is the second book in this series and it starts right were the last one left off. I love this series and characters. Angel and Luke"s chemistry intensifies in this second book. They are made for each other and have been brought together in a way that you only hope, they can't last forever. The storyline is more complex with this second book and we find out more of Luke's past. Knowing he is in the heart of the enemy's compound, he must stay with Angel know matter what to protect her but how long can he do this and not be found out about his secret? Will Angel still love him once she finds out his secret? These two hardly get a break from all the bad things that happen to them in their life. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering how everything will unfold for our main characters and it is action packed all the way through it. I had to read this book in one day because I couldn't put it down. This new story from this amazing author is incredible and keeps you guessing what will happen next. Can't wait until the next books comes out in this series. Love this world that has been created by Tess Oliver.

I am impressed by Angel and Luke's relationship in this book. As Dreygon continues to drag them into his his world, testing their bond, they never fail each other. Luke had a few secrets from Angel, but that doesn't change that fact that she loves him.
In the face of Luke's lies they still cling to each other and try to save each other and have no other concerns except for each other. I am incredibly proud of them both and how they have handled themselves. They deserve each other so much.

Book 2 of this series starts off with Luke and Angel deciding that Luke should try to get in good graces with Angel's grandfather, hoping this will allow them to escape from the compound. All goes well until a deal happens and Luke's life is put into danger again. Will Luke and Angel be able to escape or will something bad happen?
I thought this book was a quick and exciting read. We get to see glimpses into the previous months when Luke and his friend Dex go undercover and the circumstances that left him in front of the compound where Angel finds him. I can't wait to read book 3.

OMG I love this series!
There are so many twists and turns that had me holding my breath waiting to see what was going to happen next.
I found the first half of the book was a little slow but you get to see some of the back story of what happened to Luke and Dex and also more of Luke and Angel's story. Then it starts to get into the action and suspense part where I could not read the pages quick enough.
Oh and that ending ARGH I need book 3 now!!! I can't wait to see what is in store next and I am hoping there will be some of the other Barringer brothers in there too.

Arc copy for honest review. ..absolutely fantastic. ...what abook I love this series. ..tess this is best book to date iam thankful to do do these reviews for you... I loved this book it had a great story line and made my heart beat out of my chest a few times!! I may have cried too but I'm pregnant so we are blaming that on my hormones!!! Ok this second book in a series of five was amazing and so look forward to part three!!! Must read series!!!!

ANOTHER GREAT STORY!!! In this installment we find out more about Luke (Reno) and how he ended up in Dreygon's compound. Dreygon is one mean SOB. Luke has to do whatever is necessary to gain Dreygon's trust. It may be the only chance at survival that Luke and Angel have. This is another gripping story in the Rain Shadow series.

Luke has finally remembered what happened to him and who he is! He is a DEA agent that had gone undercover with his partner and best friend to investigate illegal drugs. During their assignment they were recognized as Federal Agents and he was wired with a gun that killed his friend and he was left for dead in the desert. His Angel had found him and nursed him back to health and saved him from certain death. Luke had told her everything when his memory came back, everything but that he was a DEA Agent. The love that they shared between them was strong and grew stronger the more time they spent together but Luke feared that she would not be able to accept who he was and turn away from him. Angel’s grandfather is crazy and growing more out of control each day. He plans on using Angel as a bargaining chip to pull another smaller club into his organization.
Luke knows that his days are numbered before his true identity is discovered. He cannot leave because he has promised Angel that he would not go without her. Everything comes to a head when he is forced to go on a gun run to prove himself loyal to the club. Luke is allowed to leave the compound the night before and go with the other members and Angel for a drink at a bar a few miles from the club. When they arrive at the bar there are two different situations that confront him. The first is one of the men that tortured and murdered his friend is there and he may have recognized Luke. The second one is Angel’s grandfather had made plans to meet with the club that he wanted to join with and he wanted Angel to meet her intended. What can Luke do to protect Angel? How can he rescue her and not get killed himself? Will they find out who he is? The answers are in the book! It is a must read!

Would I read other books by this author: Yes! I have read all of Ms. Oliver’s books and have yet to be disappointed. It is so hard to wait for the next book in the Rain Shadow: The Berringer Brothers Series. Wish I could wave a magic wand and have the next book appear!

Rain Shadow Book Two is the second book in a five novel series and they must all be read to get the full story of Angel and Luke. They met under extremely unusual circumstances, Angel stumbled upon Luke in the desert and he didn't know who he was or how he got there. He was badly injured and near death when Angel rescued him, the second book continues the development of their relationship but things are becoming even more dangerous. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire novel waiting for Luke's deadly secret to come out, there were several times I thought someone had figured out what he was hiding.Tess Oliver knows how to build some serious suspense!
I love MC books so I'm a little biased but I think this is a really amazing series! Tess created an intriguing plot line that just keeps building upon itself grabbing the reader and dragging them into the story. Her characters are well developed, believable, interesting and each one adds something important to the overall story. No character is unimportant in this series, everyone has a special role that helps to drive the plot forward. The grandfather is a psycho that seems to be losing his grip on reality as the story progresses and his volatile nature keeps the reader guessing on what might happen at any given moment. Angel is an amazing combination of strength and sweetness and Luke is good man, plain and simple. He wants to be on the side of good but will do what he has to do to survive and free the woman he loves. I loved both Angel and Luke and I especially loved them as a couple, they really had the meant to be vibe. They are the kind of couple that makes you believe everything really does happen for a reason. Angel helps to save Luke from his pain and horrible memories and Luke wants to save Angel from the life she is trapped in. They complement each other perfectly and the sex is super hot which is always an excellent bonus! Their relationship is a thing of beauty in the nightmare of life on the compound.
I think Rain Shadow is the perfect blend of romance and suspense, the main plot is about Angel and Luke but there is always an aspect of mystery and danger. Not everyone and everything is exactly as it seems at first and I loved that! There was no shortage of surprises and plot twists in this story, especially near the ending. Trust me, you won't expect the way things turn out!! The ending leaves us with one hell of a cliff hanger and no idea how things are going to turn out for the characters we are growing to love. I can't wait for the next book to come out!

Rain Shadow Book Two is the second book in a five novel series and they must all be read to get the full story of Angel and Luke. They met under extremely unusual circumstances, Angel stumbled upon Luke in the desert and he didn't know who he was or how he got there. He was badly injured and near death when Angel rescued him, the second book continues the development of their relationship but things are becoming even more dangerous. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire novel waiting for Luke's deadly secret to come out, there were several times I thought someone had figured out what he was hiding.Tess Oliver knows how to build some serious suspense!
I love MC books so I'm a little biased but I think this is a really amazing series! Tess created an intriguing plot line that just keeps building upon itself grabbing the reader and dragging them into the story. Her characters are well developed, believable, interesting and each one adds something important to the overall story. No character is unimportant in this series, everyone has a special role that helps to drive the plot forward. The grandfather is a psycho that seems to be losing his grip on reality as the story progresses and his volatile nature keeps the reader guessing on what might happen at any given moment. Angel is an amazing combination of strength and sweetness and Luke is good man, plain and simple. He wants to be on the side of good but will do what he has to do to survive and free the woman he loves. I loved both Angel and Luke and I especially loved them as a couple, they really had the meant to be vibe. They are the kind of couple that makes you believe everything really does happen for a reason. Angel helps to save Luke from his pain and horrible memories and Luke wants to save Angel from the life she is trapped in. They complement each other perfectly and the sex is super hot which is always an excellent bonus! Their relationship is a thing of beauty in the nightmare of life on the compound.

The story of Angel and Luke continues in this fast paced adventure that makes your skin tingle. As a reader, I just love the anticipation of what's to come and Tess does such an amazing job at setting the stage so to speak. There is a lot of uproar and turmoil in this book, surrounding Dreygon, Angel's grandfather and the rival MC. Dreygon is slowly losing his sanity and Angel is teetering on the brink of just forgetting everything and running away, her family be damned. Angel struggles with knowing what is right, what is wrong, what she wants out of life. She is a natural healer. She tries her hardest to repair things, not break them like her grandfather. She leans heavily on Luke for guidance, love and support. In fact, they both lean on each other. In their messed up worlds, they found each other and that is the one truth they cling to.

With his memories back, Reno " Luke Barringer" must stick to the plan of pretending to be apart of Dreygon Sharpes club. In order to get free and take Angle with him, he must mack sure shes ready to leave, and come up with a plan. If he's going to leave, he has to make sure it will work. Or he'll end up dead. Things start to get even more complicated for Reno and Angle, when they find out Dreygon promised angle to a member of another crew, one that he wants to merge with. With haunting members of Reno's best Friend and partner haunting him. He knows he's running out of time, he needs to bring the men responsible down. Now. All the while, doing what he can to please Angles grandfather, and not letting his secret slip. The days may drag behind the walls of the Bedlam compound, Luke is worried how his family must be feeling. Not knowing where he is. But the only bright light in the suckfest of his life right now. Wow.. Tess Oliver did not disappoint in the second book in The Barringer Brothers Series! It had so many twist & turns... I did not want to stop reading!!
The story basically picks up from where it left off in the last book.
Luke aka Reno... Is recalling how he got to where he is today. He still doesn't remember the whole thing... just bits and pieces of it. It still comes in flashbacks... Or Déjà vu moments.
We find out more about his life before he was found in the desert. His job as a DEA agent & working with his best friend Dex. And just about his family.
When I read about how Luke & Dex got caught... I felt so bad for Dex. He knew they didn't have a chance...
But.... I can't help but feel there's more to come from Dex!!! Little clues I felt when I was reading it.. I can't wait to find out if I'm right!!
Angel...
I can't help but to think she is in her own little world. She knows she has to get out. She knows Luke wants to get out... But yet.. She still doesn't make a move with Luke. She tries to think of a reason... That her grandfather would be ok with... And let her leave with Luke. Which is a joke... Cause her grandfather it evil!
The sex in this book is so damn HOT!!
I loved it!!! The whole rock scene...

've been struggling to give 5 stars to a book this month, then I read Rain Shadow and Rain Shadow Part 2 - now my 5 stars don't seem enough, I would give this book 10 if I could it was that good.
I thought part 1 was good well Tess managed to eclipse that with part 2 the trouble with writing this review is how to do it without giving the plot away but here goes !!!
Luke now remembers who he is and what lead he to be at the bedlam MC compound but for the moment he keeps this information from Angel. Angels grandfather becomes more unstable which makes him take more risks with those closest to him. Luke must keep his indenity from the club members and win the trust of Angels granfather to stay alive.
I loved Luke he is one hard bastard, says what he likes, has balls of steele, cocky, sexy and really awesome in bed ( yes I want Luke) and I along with Angel fell hopelessly in love with him. Angel is awesome too I really liked her sexy confident and outspoken charather. And there are some great secondary characters bringing banter and some lighthearted moments to this tense MC book .
I really can't say to more more about the story line as I will give to much away and you need to experience this book without spoilers.
This book had me in a tail spin, I laughed, cried, gasped, screamed, shouted, and fell in love with an awesome book and really can't wait to read more.
Tess Oliver has now become my new author obsession make her yours too you won't regret it

If you liked the first book, then you will absolutely love the second! I know I did. It is not a standalone. You will need to read them in order to fully understand the story.
In the first book it was revealed that Reno, as he was called, is actually Luke Barringer, DEA agent. His memory is back and haunts him knowing all that happened to land him in the compound of the Bedlam MC. Now he has to find a way to get out alive before his secret is revealed and find a way to get Angel out with him.
Luke is still trying to gain the trust of the MC so he can get out. Sounds easy enough, right? Unfortunately, something goes down that causes a lot of questions to come up regarding who Luke really is. He knows he is running out of time and quickly. Angel must make the decision to stay with her family and life she has always known or attempt to leave with the man that owns her heart. Secrets are brought to light and it will put trust and friendships at risk.
This book is full of all kinds of twists and turns. It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I was surprised by some of the characters’ actions. Angel and Luke are still very much dedicated to one another but will all the obstacles be too much to hold them together? You must read this series. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book. It was well written and you easily relate with the characters and the struggles they face.

Another great installment in the series!
Rain Shadow, Book 2 was fantastic! A LOT happens in book 2. It picks up a few weeks after Luke regains his memory and realizes that he’s essentially been living with the enemy. He’s constantly trying to figure out a way for him and Angel to escape the compound while simultaneously waiting for the day his true identity is revealed. He knows it’s just a matter of time.
I love the suspense in this book and series. I love how you never know exactly what’s going to happen or when Luke’s real identity will come to light. And we are left waiting with bated breath once again at the end of book 2 to find out what will happen next!
I loved how in Book 2 we got to learn more about Luke and his past through flashbacks.
Again, the chemistry between Angel and Luke was palpable and the sexy times were plentiful. Luke is a hottie! He’s super protective of Angel and an uber-Alpha male. He knows his way around weapons, motorcycles and fights and is not afraid to stand up to Dreygon, the head of the MC.
And we got to meet the yummy Barringer brothers in Book 2! I’m very excited to get to know them better!!
I’m enjoying this series greatly and can’t wait to read Book 3.
