This is the first book I have read of Ryan’s and I enjoyed the fast pace of the storyline. It gave me Terminator vibes, but without the crossover of different worlds.
Dianna’s day starts off with repercussions and finds herself being forced to flee with the help of the first person she encounters.
The story has layers, which makes the whole story more intense and continuously exciting. Will Dianna and “her new friend” be able to get out of this nightmare she found herself in by pure accident?
Go check it out for yourself to find out.
Thanks Ryan for sharing your work. Really enjoyed it.

This book kept me wanting more. Fast paced, on the edge of your seat, grab you with its hooks and sinks them into you. I couldn’t put it down. I needed to know every detail. The way he describes each character to the detailing of the scenery was perfect. You knew the characters, you connected with them while rooting for them. Colorado is a beautiful place but he makes you want to go there.
I absolutely loved this book and the writing. Read this book and be immersed in this amazing, gripping story.
I’ve read this book twice in the last two weeks. It’s that good.

Great read! This book kept me intrigued and consistently wanting to know more. The characters were relatable and it was enjoyable going along for the ride and seeing them develop. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, and crossing my fingers for a good resolution to their journey.

However, what set this apart for me, were the thoughtful details and voice. LaMantia’s voice feels natural, friendly and approachable, as though I’m being told the story by an old friend. Having lived in Colorado and the Denver Metro area for most of my life, it was an incredibly special experience for me to see my hometown depicted in the pages of a published novel—and one that was genuinely interesting and kept me engaged. Reading about the lovely scenery, the streets and intersections, the landmarks and the places I drive by every day, and have them be so accurately described that I can very clearly visualize the abandoned 7-11 at 13th and Pearl on page 64, for example (and how, since the book was published, it’s turned into a bagel shop—IYKYK), makes me feel like I’m watching a major Hollywood film in my head about my beautiful city.

The beauty is in the details. Read this book, go on the journey with Dianna and Eddie and have fun visiting my hometown :)

Just finished To Serve and Protect by Ryan LaMantia and wow... what a ride. Dianna's day starts off like total trash. Her car won't start, boss is a sexist jerk, everything's going wrong. Then she witnesses something she absolutely wasn't supposed to see, and suddenly she's being hunted.
It's fast, intense, and honestly kind of cathartic. Dianna doesn't take crap, and watching her stand up for herself while everything falls apart? Wildly satisfying.
There's even just a hint of romance simmering under all the chaos. Just enough to soften the edges without taking away from the tension.
If you're into thrillers with strong female leads, high-stakes action, and a little spark of something more, this one's worth a spot on your TBR.

Dianna is having the worst day! She ends up hurting Purvis, her male boss's fragile ego, even though he called her a helpless, silly woman to start with. She ends up getting sent home early for the day and witnesses a cop doing something completely effed up in the parking garage. A chase ensues. She manages to hitch a ride from a stranger who wonders if he should just go to the police and escape the drama. I don't like giving too much away in reviews. But I read this in 2 days once I started! There is a lot of action and it's one that you just have to keep going because you wonder how each situation will be dealt with. Pick this one up!

The book is intelligent, clever, realistic and resourceful. The author is creative, has a unique style, and originality. The piece is well-organized and structured. I can’t wait to see what else this author creates for his readers.
