Walking the Forest Path Vol.1: Transmissions and Teachings from the Ceremonial Space

Rate this book
Walking the Forest Path is a collection of transmissions and teachings born from the ritual space, inviting students and readers into deeper ceremonial study. Blending multidisciplinary wisdom with poetic, meditative inquiry, it explores themes of presence and impermanence, the dark night of the soul, awakening, and the sacramental use of ayahuasca.

The medicine person—medicine man or woman—the mystic has been called someone who sees far, a wider perspective, the periphery. While the ordinary person sees things, objects, the material world, and manifestation, the mystic sees the space between things.

While the ordinary person sees things, the mystic sees that all things come from one thing and that one thing is not a thing. And therefore there are no things. There is just one being that all is the manifestation of. There is nothing separate. It is non-duality, oneness, unity. How could anything exist outside of existence? You cannot stand apart or stand on top of it. You're not different from it.

The masters have told us that our suffering is the belief in separation.

Take a moment and take off that belief.

Let existence be.

I could hear Jaya’s voice through the pages, clear and grounded, speaking directly to a place within me.

A truth that stands out is how we often rush ahead of ourselves, only to find that we must then slow down to catch up. There’s beauty in this simplicity, and it brings clarity to the path we all must individually walk.

Jaya documents the medicine work of The Forest Path by inviting us to experience the full depth, challenge, and grace of this journey. Reading his words, I feel a quiet remembrance— an invitation to return to true essence, the place that is always whole.

The wisdom Jaya offers is a steady companion, one that I carry with me every day. His focus on moving slowly, honoring what is sacred, and allowing wisdom to still us is a potent reminder in a world that often moves too fast. His teachings remind me to pause and let love guide my actions. The shift he invites from seeking to truly finding is profound—it’s about looking deeply at what is looking, without turning away, without distraction.

What resonates deeply with me is how Jaya weaves together teachings from various lineages, reminding us that truth is universal and all paths ultimately lead to the same destination. His words cut to the heart, offering insights that feel simple yet expansive. They speak to the truth that divine love and wisdom are always available to us, if we’re willing to slow down and open ourselves to it. Jaya’s words uphold a clear respect for the plant teacher and for the history and sacredness of the work.

This book is a reminder and a deep honoring of what has always been here, in the being of remembrance.
