What can I say? I’m easy to please. And even easier to tick off.
My future was set—fast cars, late nights, and no strings attached. Then my father decided to cash in on an old debt… and put me on the hook to settle it.
His terms? Marry his friend’s daughter. Keep her in line. Act like I want this.
Yeah, right.
Now my brothers won’t stop laughing, my freedom’s been signed away, and my so-called fiancée? She’s a damn wrecking ballwith a pretty face and a sharp tongue.
She’s fire, and I should let her burn herself out.
Instead, I’m playing with matches.
And suddenly, my perfect, no-strings future? It’s going up in flames.

This book was a little long but I thought it was a good read. The characters of Isaac and Mina were a good match. There were a lot of hurdles for them to overcome and I thought the story came together well. I received an advance review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
My Horrible Arranged Marriage by Ali Parker started off really strong and I was happily surprised by the writing. It wasn’t cheesy, in fact it was witty and funny.
Written in dual POV between two ultimate rich spoiled adults… Mina & Isaac. Both were raised with a silver spoon and don’t understand the concept of hard work. Even with that, I enjoyed the characters and liked them a lot. Mina is going down a dark road and her father is concerned but also wants to protect his family image. He calls in a favor from Isaac’s father and the two arrange a marriage amongst their children. Isaac is in on this scheme and at the end of he marries Mina he will get a job at his father’s company.
Mina and Isaac go out on a date but things change. Isaac is smitten by Mina immediately, she isn’t like his typical “dates” and Mina enjoys Isaac. They are so similar and had the same upbringing and strict fathers feeling like they are the family disappoints, I immediately understood their connection. They are one and the same.
Isaac goes off track and truly falls for Mina but she still doesn’t know they began in a lie and as they fall more and more for one another Isaac can’t see a way out from telling her and not lose Mina.
The first 60% of the book I highly enjoyed. As I stated, the story was well written and even with an over the top storyline of an arranged marriage and spoiled rich kids, the story held its own. Unfortunately it did begin to lose me. Not because of the story but it was just SOOOO long. This book is over 500 pages and it felt like it was the same thing on every page. The last part of the book was hard to get through, I became bored.
I really did enjoy the characters, even though you may want to hate the spoiled brats… haha… and the first half of the book. I also didn’t realize this is a book series based off of Isaac’s family. Though My Horrible Arranged Marriage wasn’t the first book. I didn’t feel like I was missing anything and I appreciate that the author still kept the other characters as minor roles and focused on the two leads. Isaac and Mina.
I give My Horrible Arranged Marriage by Ali Parker 3 stars.
Trust fund baby Mina Duvall once again plies herself with liquor to get through yet another party for the elite socialites when her father Hectar drags her home. Isaac Bancroft, lounging at his father’s pool while he and his wife are on another honeymoon, looks up to find Hectar Duvall asking him to deliver a message to his father. “Tell him I’m calling in the favor.” When his Dad arrives home, he confirms the message and divulges that Isaac is part of the obligation because he is ordered to date, woo, marry, and impregnate Mina Duvall. When they go on their first date, both are surprised by the fact that they actually have fun together, finding similarities they weren’t expecting.
As Issac and Mina grow closer, amid laughter and stupendous sex, including a wonderful weekend in Vegas where he proposes, and he feels even worse about keeping the giant secret from her. But, unbeknownst to him, Mina carries a big secret of her own.
I absolutely adore all the Bancroft boys, but Isaac may be my favorite because he is looked upon as incapable of contributing to the family business, most likely because of his track record in chasing women. Likewise Mina, an only child, is treated with kid gloves because her father sees her as fragile and in need of protection. Thus lies the reason they have more hurdles than most to overcome their perceptions. Ali Parker has hit another book out of the park, and I was totally glued to the pages with hope that Mina and Issac could find their HEA. Strap on your roller skates for a bumpy ride for this delightful, quirky, hilarious, passionate couple!
I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily offer my honest opinion.
Mina and Isaac – two traumatized souls who find each other through manipulation. The story is well written, and the scenes flowed. I truly appreciate that contrived chapters of calling or meeting the BFF for advice have vanished (or worse – the bunch of girlfriends in a group, boozing it up and analyzing why the romance is going sideways - UGH). Now “advice” scenes are far more realistic with smooth transitions and believable dialogue. Ali writes with a deeper understanding of motivations and feelings. Every time I think a story line starts to become one of “writing to add words” I get surprised. Side trips become meaningful. Little nuggets are exposed or added to keep the story moving along at good speed. I was impressed, right up until the end. There’s a chapter with a sex dream, all in italics, that I would have skipped if not for the fact I was doing an advanced reading. That, to me, was the only “word builder” in the book. Finally, Ali left some open questions, and to me the book is unfinished. Why is there no wedding after nine months? Why was her father not invited to the Bancroft BBQ. Perhaps all parents of the wives are not included, but suddenly, after her last talk with her father, he’s dropped from the story, and not in a way that gave closure.
Another excellent addition to the Bancroft series by Ali Parker. She has done it again!! I love how these books are interconnected with the other Bancroft titles, yet each can be enjoyed independently. Mina and Isaac are both impulsive, privileged individuals facing their own problems. The story begins when Mina's father informs Isaac's father of a debt that needs reconciliation, leading the two families to decide that their children should marry to secure their futures. Isaac is aware of the underlying plan and initially resists, while Mina is unaware of the full context and believes they are simply being set up on a date. As the story continues, Isaac recognizes Mina’s authentic qualities and struggles with his growing feelings. Both of them understand the pressures of their worlds, which brings them closer together. Isaac falls first, followed by Mina, but soon their personal issues come to light. I love the this book!!
Mina was raised in an affluent lifestyle but that doesn’t mean she finds it fulfilling and the choices she makes have once again drawn the ire of her father. When she meets Isaac, the son of one of her father’s friends, she expects to find him arrogant and self centered but instead she finds him charming however it is what she doesn’t know about him that could destroy everything.
Isaac enjoys his carefree lifestyle with no responsibility or commitments. When he finds himself having to honor his father’s debt by pretending to have feelings for Mina and create a future with her he expects to hate every minute of it. He soon realizes he couldn’t be more wrong however there is the complication of the lie of how they begun threatening to come out at any time.
This is an arranged marriage that turns very real and is filled with drama, emotions and a less-than-ideal beginning if they are going to have the future they didn’t know they wanted.
A deliciously messy, laugh-out-loud romance with all the steam and sass you could ask for!
Ali Parker nails it again with My Horrible Arranged Marriage. From the first page, I was hooked by the arrogant, emotionally unavailable billionaire and the spitfire fiancée who turns his world upside down. Their chemistry? Electric. The banter? Top tier. The tension? Chef’s kiss.
This book brings everything I love in a good romance, grumpy/sunshine vibes, enemies-to-lovers energy, and a story that feels like watching your favorite romcom unfold in real time (just with hotter scenes). It’s playful, fiery, and full of heart.
If you’re into arranged marriages that turn into full-blown chaos, in the best way possible, this one’s for you. Ali Parker doesn’t just write love stories; she writes mini-vacations for the heart and soul.
Mina is on a spiraling downfall after catching her fiancé with one of her bridesmaids. Her father thinks that if he calls in a favor from a family friend. This is where Issac Bancroft comes into the picture. His father owes the Duvall family a major favor from a long time ago so Mina’s dad asks Issac’s dad to turn on his charm so that Mina will fall for him. In return Issac’s dad will give him a job in one of the company’s businesses. Issac and Mina meet and from the beginning he knew he was going to fall and fall hard for her. What will happen when Mina finds out she has been lied to and it shatters everything that her and Issac have. Great addition to the Bancroft series. I really enjoyed Issac’s and Mina’s story. Well worth adding to your library. I received an arc copy of this book and I’ leaving m freely leaving an honest review.
This book is a stand-alone romance with some interconnecting characters from the Bancroft Brothers books. This is Mina and Isaac’s story and it’s one that will grab your attention right at the beginning and you won’t be able to put it down. No shortage of emotion, family drama or twists. Both were from wealthy New York families and each had a rebellious wild side. Interfering fathers, an arranged marriage contact, a surprise pregnancy and more. A story about love and trust that will take you on an emotional roller coaster. A page turning story line and well developed, complex characters. A book that was a great read and a wonderful addition to the Bancroft Series. I read an advanced copy via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Another amazing Bancroft story...this time, it's playboy Isaac's turn. His dad owes Hectar Duvall a favor...it involves Hectar's daughter, Mina. So Isaac is going to have to woo Mina, and ultimately, marry her to keep her out of trouble! What starts off as an absolute drag for this pair, turns into a match made in heaven. These two have major chemistry and have a bunch of fun together! Neither of them expected to actually fall in love...but Mina has a trust problem, and when she finds out that this was all part of a master plan, she is NOT going to be happy!! This was a wonderful and touching roller coaster of a love story. It was well written, with honest and raw feelings thoughout the story. I was entranced from the beginning through the end, and it is a great weekend read!
LOVED this book! The Bankcroft series is my favorite series by any author!! This is Isaac's story. He is the wild son who is a womanizer, party boy and loves a good time. Mina is her own brand of trouble. When these two first meet up the chemistry is off the charts. What Mina doesn't know is that her father called in a favor from Isaac's father to have him date her, sweep her off her feet and then marry her. Things get real very fast and Isaac is falling hard for Mina for real. When the truth comes out all hell breaks lose. Hang on for the roller coaster ride you are about to have as the ups and downs will have you on the edge of your seat wanting and hoping for a happy ending for these two who finally deserve a happy ending!
Mina Duvall, a trust fund girl with a rebellious streak, and Isaac Bancroft, the charming playboy of a powerful family, are thrown together in a high-stakes arranged marriage neither expected. What starts as a forced setup quickly turns into genuine chemistry, laughter, and a secret-filled journey to love. Isaac hides the truth about the deal behind their relationship, while Mina’s got a big secret of her own. I’ve loved all the Bancroft brothers, but Isaac just might be my favorite—flawed, funny, and totally swoon-worthy. Ali Parker delivers another addictive read full of heart, heat, and humor. Get ready for a wild ride with this unforgettable couple!
I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.
Who doesn’t love a good Bancroft family book!!!!! This is another one to add to your collection including Isaac and Mina Duvall. When their fathers put their heads together to fulfill a debt, Isaac is the one they put into the middle. When things between Isaac and Mina heat up and become real can their love last with secrets that are hidden? I can tell you that this was written well and very enjoyable. The words flew off the page and I never lost interest in the story. I love how the author always brings the family together so you go from one book to another without losing the sense of family.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "MY HORRIBLE ARRANGED MARRIAGE" I was hooked from the start the characters were great, humor, angst, frustration, steam, secrets, you can't put down. Mina Duvall is a trust fund girl who hates elite socialite parties, her father Hectar Duvall arrives home with drunk Mina in tow & tells Issac Bancroft to tell his father he's calling in his favor. Mina wasn't aware she was to become married to Issac Bancroft dating they realize there is an attraction to one another both are keeping secrets the other doesn't know about. Will Mina & Issac get their HEA its absolutely a must read you don't want to miss I loved it.
Oh, what do I say about this one? Overall, I loved Mina and Isaac but it did take a little bit to get there. They start as very selfish, very spoiled, rich adults. As they spend time together, as that connection builds, you get the understanding of their why, and the growth that comes with that. Isaac has secrets and those secrets rock the boat, but there's a great redemption, and some groveling! The story has spice, their shared interests and wants for life, and of course that fun Bancroft family! Curl up in a comfy spot, dig in, and get to know these two lovable characters!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is a brilliant addition to this series. Isaac and Mina are both from rich families but they both do what they want without thinking of the consequences. Now her father has had enough and calls in a longstanding debt to hopefully get Mina back to her happy self. Isaac falls for Mina on their first date and soon they are inseparable. They are perfect together and have so much fun but when love is involved Isaac starts to feel guilty about keeping secrets from her. Can they work through the bad times or will it tear them apart. A must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Love the Bancroft books for the first couple editions. The second half a new brother never mentioned keeps getting added. While the stories are somewhat creative they overlap with other series by Ali. The chemistry in this book was good.
This last book put the nail in the coffin when Jet’s wife was called Nancy and not Winslet then Hudson’s wife was called Marigold and not Diane. That was when I realized this is just pumping out more in the series to continue not protecting the 19 relationships that came before. I loved the appearances of other family members as it made it a story to continue.
This is the latest in the Bancroft series, you don’t have to have read the other books in the series and can read this as a standalone, however, as this book involves a lot of the other characters featured in the other books I feel it is likely to increase your enjoyment to have read the other books first. This is Isaac and Mina’s story. Isaac is one of Armand’s sons, happy being a playboy bachelor, until his father and a business associate tell him they need him to marry Mins, the associates daughter, and get her pregnant, and in return Isaac will be given a job at the family’s foundation, and an old debt between the two fathers will be considered to have been repaid. Mina is the only daughter of Hectar, since a recent broken engagement she has been a bit wild and out of control, which the press have picked up on. Her father persuades her to go on one date with Isaac, and she assumes Isaac’s father has done the same. The one date goes better than they imagined it would, but can a relationship build on a shaky foundation of lies and coersion? You’ll have to read to find out! Another thoroughly enjoyable book in this series which I received as an ARC.

My initial thoughts were that here are two spoilt brats that perhaps deserve each other. I cut Mina some slack as she was getting over her fiancé cheating on her with her best friend, but Isaac was lying by omission in not coming out with the truth about their relationship. This was just a disaster waiting to happen. Isaac had his good points in defending Mina but I still despaired of him and found his character somewhat lacking. The emotional roller coaster when the truth hit wasn’t a surprise but was still touching. They had some steamy make-up time and from there on got their HEA.
My HORRIBLY ARRANGED MARRIAGE hit the spot with me because of the Bancroft brother that looked like he was never going to “grow up” and didn’t care about anyone but himself until he was faced with someone that gave him a reason to change. It’s a book that was hard to put down because I just had to see someone with his attitude fall, and fall hard, for someone so unlike his other conquests. I read an early copy of the book so I can offer this viewpoint in case you are thinking about reading the book, too.
Mina & Isaac need each other; Isaac understands the gift Mina is to him. Soul-stirring romance! She just wants to be "normal." Her dad just doesn't understand. Isaac is the first to every really see her. They're just crazy together and glad to have been forced together for a first date by their two fathers. She doesn't have a clue what her dad is up to. Isaac knows but the more he cares for her the harder it is to tell her. Angsty, sweet, hot and loving what an array of feels in this story! Thank you Ali for another Bancroft #1 hit! Love it
wowsa, this book is so darn good and will definitely have you enthralled from the beginning until the end. when Mina's father has had enough of her out of control behavior ,he takes matters into his own hands ,but will it destroy his relationship with his daughter when the truth comes out? Issac is a party boy who needs to grow up ,but when his dad asks him to go along with an arranged marriage, will he end up finding his soulmate, or will he lose her forever ? I throughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down.
This is Book 20 in the A Bancroft Billionaire Brothers Novel Series by this author. It is a lighthearted romance between trust fund babies, Mina and Isaac. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. What starts out as an arranged marriage turns into something more. It is a captivating love story with drama and steam, humor and charm, sexual tension and chemistry, family dynamic, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. What a sweet read!
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Isaac and Mina entertained me for many, many enjoyable hours!
There isn't a story that Ms. Parker has written that did not hold my interest! Her characters are always so well done. She brings on the emotion. She brings on the steam! She provides her characters with wonderful dialogue!
Will Isaac become your favorite Bancroft? I don't name favorites! Just like our parents don't! LOL!
LOVED IT!!! So different - the story of Isaac and Mina - 2 real characters that were living life n their terms, until their worlds collide. Isaac agrees to a marriage contract to absolve his father owing Mina's dad a favour. Neither thought they would actually fall in love. The path to true love is never smooth and there are hiccups and hurdles that they have to overcome. Love the Bancroft stories and this one DOES NOT disappoint.
I really liked the interaction between the two main characters in this book. Yasmina Duvall (Mina) and Isaac Bancroft both grew up as spoiled rotten rich kids as part of the NYC elite society. They both have made headlines in the gossip rags for their outrageous behavior. They embrace their form of crazy and make no apologies for it. They complement each other in just the right ways despite the secrets they keep from one another. This is a wonderful love story with an HEA outcome.
I love the Bancroft Billionaire series. Book 20 is Issac's turn to get hitched. Mina is a trust fund darling with a powerful dad. Issac is part of the Bancroft family with a trust fund and just hanging out. Issac and Mina get each other and their sense of humors. Mina's dad calls in a "favor"Issac's dad. This is a good book that has a few unexpected twists and turns. It is a standalone book but once you read one of the Bancroft books you have to read them all.
This is a story about Mia and Isaac. Isaac is told by his father that he needs to go out on a date, charm, marry, produce a baby, for Mia without her knowing that this is a favor his father is paying back her father. Mia and Isaac go on their first date to appease both their fathers. Isaac truly falls for Mia but keeps the parents' secret. See Mia's and Isaac's chemistry and what happens when Mia learns the truth.
I just loved it! Mina's father called in a favor from Isaac's father. Now Isaac who likes his women with no strings attached must date Mina and marry her. When they met their chemistry where off the charts. Mina doesn't know about the favor. Isaac and Mina is having a great time together but she has a secret of her own. What will happen when the secrets gets out. Will they get a happy ending. This is an absolutely must read story.
Another great book by Ms. Parker who once again delivers! She does a wonderful job developing the story and takes you into Isaac and Mina's lives as their father's manipulate a marriage. I enjoyed watching them grow closer and their chemistry flaring hotter. She moves the story fluidly with her descriptive scenes and weaves a great addition to the Bancroft series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
