Get ready to cringe with this sexy manga about two total virgins on an erotic literary mission!
Miki is a rookie erotic novelist who's never so much as held a woman's hand. Riko is a die-hard lingerie enthusiast with zero experience with men. Together, these two clueless virgins embark on a literary collaboration--attempting to bring the heat despite the cringe of their inexperience. Miki fully embraces Riko's obsession with underwear, but when he makes a very hands-on request in the name of research, Riko has to wonder... can you really write what you don't know?!
To the surprise of no one, the fanservice in this is strong. To my surprise, a great deal of it focuses on our female lead developing confidence in her desires both sexually and not. The two leads are actually quite sweet, and are drawn to each other's enthusiasm as much as anything else. Riko especially is such an endearing character, and I'm most interested in seeing her own growth. There's a note at the back that says the author writes this series with his wife, and that explains so much. If the series maintains these strengths, I can see myself continuing to enjoy it. Also kudos to the author(s) for including a character in drag and Riko finding herself attracted to a woman with no fuss about either. The casual acceptance was nice.

***Why a maybe?*** I have to stop picking up titles I think will be Stupid-Fun. The last few times they ended up just being stupid. And because of that I have these volumes taking up space because I do not want to give them away. Selling them in person is a bit ... Well I do not look like the kind of person who would enjoy these kinds of manga. Why I am being embarrassed about my reading? Zero idea, apparently I am a bit more prudish than I thought...
But it sounds so interesting! Also my upbringing was so different so I am curious how this would be perceived in Japan. Argh!
This was actually really good. To be honest there are a lot of things that could go wrong with this as well as what is perceived about it. It is surprisingly charming in a way considering how we have two rather ignorant individuals bumbling about together and feeding off each other's enthusiasm. He learns from her and she gains confidence in herself from being accepted as well as exploring the world together. I can just see these two getting hitched at some point lol!
Listen, this book is made of fanservice but this is that very specific brand of skinnymax that appeals to very horny 13-year-old boys. The art is hella horny yet kinda... meh? Oh no, she wears most scandalous lacey underthings under her very Good Girl Librarian long skirts; until we see her running down the stairs with the skirt flutter closer to a miniskirt with full panties on display flutter
Props to translator for most cringe of purple prose on the "novelist" tho!
