Claudy Conn's Bestselling Regencies

Rate this book
Claudy Conn’s Bestselling Regencies take you into a time of romance and passion, humor and intrigue: the time of the Regency, when England’s King George went mad and his beautiful son became Regent.

It was a time where Beau Brummell became arbiter of men’s fashions. Aristocratic men followed his lead and discarded the bright-colored satins and white wigs of the past.
It was a time of hedonism, with bawdy events taking place at Vauxhall. Noblemen played at changing world events at a gentlemen’s clubs called Whites, and it was a time when an invitation to Almacks was all-important.

Lord Byron flourished during the regency, even when it was rumored that he and his half-sister were lovers.

It was a time of passion, when all rules and social mores were thrown to the winds—a time when such notables as Lady Caroline Lamb, rejected by her lover, Lord Byron, went out into the public’s eye to burn all his letters.

It was a time when ladies dressed as boys, when gentlemen sometimes posed as highwaymen, and when seemingly upstanding aristocrats might also be smugglers and spies.

Regency society often portrayed itself as a comedy of manners, but beneath it all was human nature, ever present, ever laughing, ever sensual, and ever erotic.

Claudy Conn’s Bestselling Regencies contains three full-length novels--Wildfire Kiss, Taffeta and Hotspur, and Oh, Cherry Ripe--that will transport you into those times and into the lives of three unforgettable heroines.

REVIEW
We have 3 Regency Stories

First up :
Wildfire Kiss –
Another hit by Claudy Conn In this one we have Babs aka Lady Barbara who writes a spicy novel in order to help save her family’s home. Well her daddy is not very happy with her. Well Sir Edward Danton wants Lady Barbara but Lady Barbara has another in her sights. Lord Wildfire who is busy trying NOT to accept his title. Nick’s cousin Charles tries to steer him away from Babs but will that happen ? This book like all the regencys by Claudy is so funny and witty .

Taffeta and Hotspur

Claudy Conn does it again for me. She can take a Historical Romance and turn it into something Sexy and Oh So Hot .
I am not big on the Regency or Historical genre but I truly look forward to reading them when written by Claudy Conn.

Every single word is well written. The characters grab your soul as your reading and the suspense and even some comical are just the right amounts to give a life to the story.
And the book cover is gorgeous.

And I have yet another book boyfriend to add to my ever growing list so move over
Lady Taffeta Grantham because I am going to come take Lord Thurston Tarrant Hotspur although he is a Rake.

Oh, Cherry Ripe
In this story we have Cherry Elton and Lord Skylar Westbrooke

Cherry is sort of a wild child for the times. Her stepmother is beside herself on how to curb Cherry.
She decides to marry off Cherry as she is of age and needs to calm down. Cherry however wants no part of it and decides to take off in the middle of the night on her horse. While riding in the night she stumbles upon a man who immediately takes her in his arms. She doesn’t know what to think of this man but immediately sparks fly and attraction is there. See the thing is her Step-Mother never told her the name of the man she had setup for her to marry . So when Cherry runs into this man (Sky Westbrooke) she has no idea that this is the man. And of course at the time Sky has no idea that it is Cherry who was to be his bride. Sky takes her in as a Governess to his unruly siblings. After having met Cherry he doesn’t want to even think of marrying the woman he had agreed to marry.

The story plays out very nicely and in many parts you find yourself Laughing out Loud at Cherry’s escapades. She is a strong headed young woman. The attraction between Cherry and Sky plays out beautifully. They both want each other all the while thinking they were to be with someone else.
What a comical, adorable Romance.I truly enjoyed it and I definetly would recommend it.

If you like Historical Romance and a little comedy pickup your copy of this book and get to reading !!

OH CHERRY RIPE
Cherry doesn't want to be forced to marry a man she doesn't know, so she has to run. Sky Westbrooke needs a nanny for his younger siblings. Oh, Cherry is so right for this job and oh so right for Sky. With a fun plot and a true romantics ending, you'll enjoy this story.

TAFFETA & HOTSPUR
A fun read, I loved the action in this story. The main characters Hotspur (Thurston) and Taffy seem to butt heads but as always there is that underlying attraction. I will say I'm glad he is known as Hotspur, because sad to say the brain of my youth only thinks of Thurston Howell the 3rd when I hear that name. He is definitely not anything like that Thurston. As always you never go wrong with Claudy Conn.

WILDFIRE KISS
Wildfire Kiss was the first book I read by Claudy Conn and it was purely because the main character Lady Babs is a Barbara like me. She writes a scandalous story under another name and has society in an uproar. She also chooses not to marry, even though being pursued by Sir Edward who wants her come what may. Enters Lord Wildfire, that turns her head and her heart. I am forever a Claudy Conn fan.

The above our my original reviews of these three books, which I read separately before this wonderful box set and now all you lucky people can have these 3 books together! Since reading my very first Claudy Conn Regency Romance Wildfire Kiss (which will always hold a special place in my heart) I have gone on to read every single book by her. She has a way to draw you into the story and care about these characters and keep turning the page, because you have to know what will happen next! If you like your women character strong, self thinking, determined and with love unbound, you love these books. If you like your lead man, to be an alpha that protects yet has a soft side and sexy beyond belief that you wish would ravage you, you will love these books. These books are not silly sippy romance but have wonderful stories of intrigue. I cannot praise Claudy Conn enough, her writing will leave you wanting more from her. Pick up these books today!

Slow read

It wasn't as gripping as I thought it would be for me. Felt I had to skip pages. Sorry not for me.

Great reads

The first book Wildfire Kiss, is an adventure in itself about a young girl named Babs who wrote a book called "passions seed" yet put the author under a man's name, she did not want to embarrass her family yet they needed extra money since her dad gambled some away after her mother's death. Babs and Otto were the best of friends and got into mischief together. They were a handful. Sir Edward was taken with her and was determined to have her for himself, no matter what. Charles and Nick (also named as wildfire) came into town at the time Babs and Otto got into mischief. Nick was drawn to Babs as she was to him. Yet things don't always happen the way they seem. A great read.
The second book Taffeta and Hotspur, is about Taffeta who is almost twenty and her brother Seth and Uncle Nigel. They are a threesome like none other. They are on their way to London in hopes that she will find a husband., even though she finds the trip to be boring since she is not looking to wed. They come upon Lord Tarrant when he was visiting his Aunt. We also have Lord Bruton that is determined to wed Taffy one way or the other. A great story, it reminded me of another story that was somewhat similar. Great read.
The last book, Oh Cherry Brite is an exceptional story about a young girl named Cherry who was always getting into trouble. Her stepmother told her that she had a marriage proposal, however, Cherry said she would not marry a stranger, she would may for love. That night, Cherry left the house and saddled her horse to go to her Aunt Polley's house. Then Skylard was in charge of his younger siblings after their parents death. He knows they need a mother and is wanting to find a wife to tend to the younger twins, a boy and a girl 8 years old, his sister14 years old and his brother 16 years old. He is not marrying for love but for convenience. What happens after this is amazing. Brilliant story. Highly recommend.

A wonderful foe series and a wonderful gift idea for your favorite foe readers among your friends.
I read these books separately and the series in a set is even greater as you can go from one to the other and not wait for the next book.
The characters are unforgettable and ones you want to keep reading about. Each book has it's own rewards and they are full of adventure, humor and love, all you want in a book.

Claudy Conn can put words together that will hold you spell bound and very much interested in the next page and sometimes you get so involved in the book, you don't want it to end.

Claudy Conn's Regencies are about a young woman who have their own opinions about they should act in society and it's never how society expects them to act, lol. But there is always a strong man to make everything okay after they've gotten themselves in trouble. Each of these stories give you action adventure mayhem and romance just hot enough to make it interesting. Claudy Conn writes well written stories that are a joy to read. Enjoy, I did!

Absolutely awful. Poorly written, with nearly no plot or character development. Dialogue is ridiculous ... lords and ladies of regency era England saying things like "ain't"?!?

Reading only out of sheer stubbornness. There are many, many better regency writers out there.

This was a book with 3 short stories but for some reason they didn't feel short which is good as that is a pain! There were a few spots where we got more sexual description that I am comfortable with though. Very strong and opinionated heroines here.
