As someone who has been experiencing significant burnout lately, "Burnout Reset: A Self Care Workbook for Women" by Raul Flores was a truly valuable read. It provided an excellent opportunity to dive deep and genuinely get to the root of why I've been feeling this way.
The workbook is packed with incredibly helpful prompts that guide you through identifying, processing, and ultimately overcoming burnout, and it even offers strategies for staying burnout-free in the long run. The methods and insights provided are genuinely effective for anyone looking to seriously address their burnout.
My only minor critique is that the book can be a bit repetitive, both in its explanations and some of the methods it presents. I understand the intent is likely to help drill the concepts into the reader's mind, but personally, I often grasp these kinds of ideas after a single read-through. However, I can also see how this repetition would be incredibly beneficial for someone who needs that reinforcement to truly process and dig deep into the roots of their burnout. Overall, a highly recommended resource for women grappling with burnout.
I read “Burnout Reset” for my wife. I think the book will help her. The book contains not only a description and explanation of what constitutes burnout, but also practical advice how to overcome it. The most recommendation is probably how to say “no”. The author even recommends to rehearse saying “no”, which I think is crucial in order to internalize the burnout reset. Well done!
This should be required reading for all adults. You don’t need to be currently on the verge of burnout to read this. In fact I’d say it’s more helpful when read before you get to that point. I took a lot away from this book and highly recommend it.
This book was so good at identifying what burnout is and isn’t, but beyond that I love the wholistic approach to recovery and future prevention, especially boundaries. So helpful.
