Murder Daddy #1

F**k, Marry, Kill Me, Daddy

Rate this book
SCOTTY
My boyfriend’s been trying to kill me for weeks. Well, I guess he's my boyfriend. I mean, we've never officially been introduced, but he's always standing in the shadows, watching me. That has to be a good sign, right? The first time I saw him, he was hunched down in my bushes, aiming a rifle at my heart. He's turned up with a new weapon every night since. As fun as our silly little game of Murder Daddy may be, I’m getting tired of having to steal my stalker-slash-boyfriend’s affection by disarming him and using his own weapons against him.

BRODY
I’ve got to get my head in the game. As my agency’s top assassin, I’ve killed my fair share of men. When Senator Levinson placed his son on my hitlist, I figured it would be a one-and-done. Every time our paths cross, he winds up getting the upper hand. The things he makes me do once he’s pried a gun or a knife out of my hand are downright depraved, and for some reason, I can't bring myself to stop it from happening. It makes no sense. My wife tells me I need to just suck it up and get the job done. My wife’s boyfriend says I’m sweet on the guy, which is absolutely ridiculous. Even if I wanted to take advantage of our open marriage, I’m not gay. This man—this Freakshow—is completely unhinged, and the worst part is, I think I might be just as crazy as him.

F**ck, Marry, Kill Me, Daddy is a high-heat, over-the-top, absolutely UNHINGED, dual-POV, dark romcom that is equal parts insta-love and insta-lust.

«Suspension of disbelief in this zany, outlandish, over the top world I’ve created? A must.»

—* A Hitman can’t seem to kill his mark, ends up falling for him instead. *—

The author said it himself, suspend everything before reading this.
F**k, Marry, Kill Me, Daddy was crazy, silly, ridiculous, sexy, romantic and sooo fucking fun.
Scotty and Brody were both unhinged in their own ways, but still fit perfectly together.
I’m not one for insta-love usually, but it made complete sense for them. Scotty was wild, and of course he would fall immediately for his murder daddy.

«I love that he’s just as unhinged as I am with this whole death-via-phone-call shit. It’s silly and stupid, but my God, it’s a fucking rush.»

It was super silly and stupid, but also hilarious. Threatening each other with weapons through the phone was so on brand for them, as was this whole crazy ride. I loved how even with all the murder threats you could actually feel how much they cared, how Brody was slowly but surely falling for his Freakshow (a wild nickname for a wild romance). And the spice? Ohmygawd so hottt, I have no other words. CBT isn’t a kink I seek out, but it was surprisingly hot. Mostly though, it was seeing Brody explore things he’d never let himself have, or that he didn’t know he wanted.

You’re breaking me, baby. You’re breaking me down, and I don’t know if I can put myself back together.”

Despite this being an absurd and unrealistic story, I really loved everything about it. From the murder daddy vibes, to the found family, to the sweet romance. Once Brody got past his issues, he became super sappy and I loved it. I mean, the man threatened rocks who dared to hurt his baby. If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is.

“Don’t fucking touch him!”
“Is he threatening the life of a rock?” Barb asks no one in particular.

This fantasy, murder husband romance was exactly what I needed after a stressful week, and the lovely writing style definitely helped make this an awesome read. I miss these loco babies already.

“Gonna kill you so fucking hard, baby.” I bite my bottom lip and try to hold back my smile.
Promises, promises, Daddy.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5
Format: ebook

I have never read a book like this before. It was ridiculous and unhinged and hilarious, and I loved every second of it.

I have all the love in the world for Scotty. He is literal perfection. Sunshine personified. And Brody was an amazing grumpy counterpart to him. Their chemistry was super hot but their sweet moments were everything. Brody slowly but surely falling for Scotty was everything.

Loved all the spice in this book, especially Brody learning he’s a big ole bottom.

I cannot tell you how funny this book was. I was laughing so hard I was sobbing. If this ever becomes an audiobook, I will probably laugh so hard I’ll throw up. And I’ll 100% listen to it anyway. Please, please, please become an audiobook.

Overall, such a great read. The only thing I can say is the ending with Scotty’s dad was kind of weird and rushed. The ending wasn’t as satisfying as I was hoping for.

I cannot wait to read Tatum’s book. I already have the biggest soft spot for him.

This was unhinged and ott and I loved every single second of it. Scotty was delulu in just the best way, and Brody denying his feelings and attraction was told in the funniest way. How Scotty managed to bend Brody to his will time and time again had me cackling. The Wrath, I just can't. They're actually quite cute together, and once Brody decides that Scotty was his, all bets are off. Such a fun read! Can't wait to read the next 😂

Alright it’s reached it death at 56%.

So going into this I knew Brody was married but in an open relationship. The author makes it seem like their relationship is basically over but that’s not the case at all. After the first time him and Scotty hook up he goes home and tries to have sex with his wife, she turns him down. He gets jealous that she was out with her boyfriend and how lonely he is. He mentions SEVERAL times how much he loves his wife. He lies to Scotty about being married even though they are open. Hes on FaceTime with her and her boyfriend and they are having sex and Brody gets hard from it and wishes he had found out he liked men sooner so him and Kincaid (the bf) could have played together. Mind you this is after 54% and he’s been with Scotty for weeks!! The wife is basically over the relationship and she wants a divorce, NOT Brody. He very much still wants to be with her and he’s crushed. Yes he says he feels strongly about Scotty but he still very much loves his wife and is very angry she wants a divorce. I feel like I was a little misled by some of the reviews saying it’s safe because he doesn’t hook up with his wife in this book but all those other things combined completely ruined it for me.

As his agency's best assassin, killing Scotty Levinson should be a cake walk. Only every time Brody tries to take him out, Scotty always seems to get the upper hand and thinks they're dating and doing some kind of kinky role play instead.

"𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐲, 𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐦, 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 '𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒃𝒐𝒚𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖' 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐧, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩. 𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝. 𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤."
"𝐈'𝐦 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞."
"𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝑰'𝒎 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐦, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝒉𝒆 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐞. 𝐇𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐨."

Scotty is absolutely unhinged, and I loved his character so much. Brody honestly never stood a chance 🤣🤣 Their story is ridiculously OTT and I loved every minute of it.

- hitman + his target
- touch him and die
- insta-lust/love
- grumpy x sunshine
- queer awakening

It's so over the top filled with so many unfunny jokes.
There were some hot scenes yes but it couldn't help with the book overall.

Chaotic, deranged, unhinged that’s what this book is from literally the first sentence and I loved every minute of it. You really have to suspend any logical thinking about what’s a right and proper way to flirt and court but even if you don’t you’ll still enjoy it. I love books like this (it was very Cora Rose coded but even more deranged) I had fun reading it and will definitely be reading more books by this author. 🫶🏾

My poor bby Scotty was so delulu and I wanted to bonk him on the head and then give him a crushing hug 🥹 (Brody was as helpless as I was not to love him) His loneliness and just wanting to be accepted was so real and definitely grounded the story in an unexpected way.

Brody was just as unhinged and deranged as Scotty, his contrast with wanting to kill Scotty (at first but never really actually wanting to) but wanting to protect him at the same time somehow endeared him to me. Brody’s struggles with accepting his sexuality really also added to that realness in the story. The romance between Scotty and Brody actually had really good development even within all the craziness. The side characters Fiona, Kincaid, Tatum and Barb were amazing and deranged like Scotty and Brody and I loved them all and the fucked up, crazy found family they all created.

This book and all it’s ridiculousness got me out of a reading slump and I would definitely recommend to anyone it was so much fun 😂

This is one heck of an unhinged, insanely toxic story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. Scotty and Brody are two lonely souls who are on vastly different journeys. Still, they are put in the others' direction due to various circumstances, making for a crazy story that I could not get enough of.

What I enjoyed the most is how equally obsessed, deranged, and possessive both men are. These urges present themselves differently but feel the same towards the other.

This was an enjoyable ride that interests me in hopefully future installments set in this world. These characters are so much fun to watch how they react and deal with every curve ball sent their way.

“I can’t stop thinking about you,”
“Try harder.”

I kind of liked the idea of it but even with suspending ALL my disbeliefs this was more than a tad toe much for me. Wow.

I mean, all these people were batshit. But it also got me laughing.
I only read this one because I was interested in the second but I’m not quite that sure I still want to, honestly. Yeah no, I probably still gonna read it. *lol

you really need to leave all thoughts behind to read this and i love to have my brain empty so of course i enjoyed this.

it is absolutely unbelievable and ott, so be prepared. but if you do like that, you probably will enjoy this.

however, the first half was super funny and i was having the time of my life, but it got somewhat boring and repetitive after a while. it either needed to be shorter or some changes.

i read an arc and this is my honest opinion

Absolutely ridiculous, manic, deranged and I absolutely loved it 😅 Brody has been assigned to k*ll Scotty, Scotty believes that Brody is stalking him because they're fated mates (this is not a paranormal book 🫣) and that the whole murder thing is some kinky roleplay and that's just the first chapter. This was hilarious and hot!

🤪 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗿𝗼𝗺-𝗰𝗼𝗺 with 𝘂𝗻𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗖𝘀 - Scotty was completely delulu & cray-cray, & respectfully, he wasn't the smartest cookie.. but his personality made this book fun in a veryyy ridiculous way. Brody tried to fight it -literally- but he had no chance against Scotty's crazy love. this whole book was completely unhinged and every time i thought it couldn't get any more unreal & ridiculous, it proved me wrong, so-so wrong..🤡

🔪 𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻/𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 - their silly little cat & mouse antics were ridiculous, especially when the tables were turned & it was the little mouse who threatened the big cat.. they had their own weird way of showing their love - in the form of threats of bodily harm and promises of sweet murder.
❝  “𝑮𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒂 𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒐 𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅, 𝒃𝒂𝒃𝒚.”

also, death-via-phone-call is possible.. don't ask😭😭💀😆

💀 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝗺 & 𝗱𝗶𝗲 - what started with a seemingly easy hitman job & some "adorable" stalking, quickly turned into something else entirely thanks to clingy, touch/love-starved Scotty but Brody also progressively started to get more & more unhinged as he spend more time with Scotty, his OTT obsessive-possessiveness reached the sky, going as far as not standing *anything* to hurt Scotty, not even a single strand of hair..

❤️‍🔥 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲/𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁 - worked well here imo (especially bc otherwise Scotty probably would've been dead fr in the first few pages lol). the spicy scenes were okay, sometimes questionable lol but for sure it was a steamy read with some daddy play (no age play; the MCs have a 9 yrs age gap tho), degradation & praise kink, spanking, cbt (cock & ball torture), and first times.. i also can't not mention Brody calling his 🍆 'The Wrath'.. i honestly don't know what that was about💀 with all honestly, it was super cringy & i wouldn't be opposed to bleaching that part of my brain that stores this memory💀💀💀

👫 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗖 in an open relationship - there's not really any cheating, tho MC is keeping his marriage a secret for a little while.. also none of the MCs has sex with a female but there is description of female body parts & on-page intimate situations involving a female.. (just mentioning this bc ik it could be a potential ick for some when it comes to reading MM)

📖 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 & 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 - no doubt, this was a crazy, ridiculous story that fried my brain & i may have lost some brain cells.. but it was worth it?? honestly idk lol it was a very unique reading experience tho & i don't think i've ever been left feeling like this after a book. i do believe tho that the author's writing style & the way the story was built made this book a sort of success for me in the end.. this was my first book by Lance Lansdale and i'm honestly looking forward to reading more of his writing!

💭 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 - there were a few things that didn't really work for me sadly.. one of my issues was with Brody's internalized homophobia which to be fair the author does give a warning for.. & i don't usually have a problem with it in books but here it just didn't make sense for me.. like his childhood bestie was bi, he had a very supportive wife who encouraged him to explore his sexuality, and there weren't any other factors that indicated why he was dealing with internalized homophobia.. it felt like it was just there as a plot device so he can struggle some more with his feelings towards Scotty.. but bc it wasn't really explained or there wasn't more insight into his feelings regarding this (it was always just "no, i'm not gay, get away from me with all the gay shit.."), i couldn't connect with him & feel for him so it became boring and annoying very fast..
some other things that could've been improved imo was dealing with Scotty's trauma & daddy issues.. these never really got addressed, and nothing really got resolved, more like everything miraculously ended up being perfect.. also, i hated the "resolution" regarding the villain.. i don't even wanna think about that, it was a very big wtf moment, requesting memory data erasure once again, thankq..💀💀

📚 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 - in a series??👀 i'm strangely intrigued by Tatum & Abi.. and i'm really questioning my sanity,, i may have been drugged by this book.. - this is further proof that my feelings are all over the place, this story really was something else.. and i must applaud the author for all that👏

I’ve never felt so manhandled by a book before (you know.. the good kind of manhandling). One minute I’m laughing, the next I’m bawling my eyes out, and then I’m wondering if what I’m reading is actually real.. and I loved every single moment of it! This book was unhinged in the best way possible, like watching The Addams Family for the first time. I will be recommending this book to basically anyone who will listen!

This was total carnage and I loved it 😂 Dark-RomCom-Stalker-Murdering-Insta-love is the trope I never knew existed but now I can't live without!

Scotty/Baby is bonkers, totally bonkers but the sweetest little psycho-twink you'll ever get to meet. Please don't be fooled by the innocence he has in the first few chapters, that man has a blowtorch and knows how to use a gun!! He's nuts and possibly one of my favourite characters I've read over the last few years.

Brody/Daddy/Uri is his grumpy stalker/wannabe-murderer hired by Scotty's dad to kill him. So, naturally, Scotty falls in love with him as soon as he lays eyes on him (who wouldn't!) because, after all, murder-daddy is just a game. After a little back & forth and denial (silly daddy) Brody gets on board with the whole game.... then he REALLY gets on board with it all!!

There is no way you can read this book and not laugh your ar5e off every few pages. It's funny, super-sweet, total carnage, spicy as sin and beautifully crazy all at the same time! The one-liners in this are epic, the comedic prose is flawless and, honestly, I have no idea wtf I just read but I will never EVER forget these 2 ❤️

FYI - this review probably doesn't make any sense but, at the same time, it makes perfect sense. It just shows how utterly mad this book is!!!

Book 2 better be on the way, need ALL the Kincaid & Tatum scenes possible!!!

I received an ARC of this book direct from the Author and this is my honest review

When Scotty’s homophobic father hires Brody to kill his son, he has no idea that he’s acting as a matchmaker. Scotty falls head over heels for his Murder Daddy Brody. Murder attempts become foreplay as very gay Scotty and not gay at all, thank you very much Brody find their HEAs. Both characters are a little insane, and should see a therapist (a proper one, not a jerk off buddy like Scotty has), but their dysfunction is our gain. The story is more than a little crazy.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book like this before. The author describes it as "positively unhinged" and "pure unadulterated smut." 😂 When I saw that, I was worried that I’d be underwhelmed but I absolutely was not. This book is 100% unhinged. I'm not even really sure how to rate it. At times it went a little far for me and occasionally the juxtaposition of dark/weirdly sweet didn't work for me, but overall I enjoyed reading it. I preferred the first half of the story. If internalized homophobia is a trigger for you, be aware that one of the MCs has a few moments in the book. (it's on the list of Content Warnings so that's not a knock on the book)

Fan-friggin-tastic!

While this book is a huge departure from We Burn Beautiful and The Househusbands Guide to Domestic Bliss, it still what has already become the telltale marks of Lance Landsdale for me: the way the couples interact and banter with each other, they all have somewhat of a lack of filter, and are all so unapologetically themselves. Plus genuine connections, both emotional and physical (but dang the spice is KICKED UP in this one!)

Scotty is absolutely unhinged in the most endearing way, and as twisted as his obsession is, I couldn’t help but root for him and his happiness from the first page.

And Daddy/Brody… aww Brody. So desperately confused and conflicted as he stumbles his way through this bi-awakening and new obsession.

FMK Me, Daddy is absolutely the dark rom-com that will have you laughing out loud, getting hot under the collar, and all up in your feels. Plus the not so subtle (iykyk) hits about the next book, which is also gonna be fun!

UPDATE for the audiobook… Kevin did an awesome job with the narration, especially for Scotty! Love when a rereading/listen is still a 5⭐️ read!

I’ve been thinking about this book since I finished it yesterday and I’m dropping it down to 3 stars.

I really couldn’t stop reading this but I realize I wasn’t exactly enjoying it. It was funny at first but then I felt bad for Scotty and I never understood why he fell for Brody right away. Was there something wrong with Scotty that he became obsessed with Brody without knowing him? I kept wondering.

I wasn’t into the wife aspect and I expected more conflict with her. Then we get Tatum and Abi and it seems like Scotty and Brody 2.0 in a way. I’m interested to see what their book will be like though.

I thought Brody treated Scotty pretty terribly, especially after their first sexual experience together. Scotty stood up for himself a few times but then gave in easily. I hated the nickname of Freakshow.

This is definitely over the top but I was hoping for more antics with Brody really trying to kill Scotty in the story. There are so many sex scenes and I didn’t mind them until the last part of the book when I just was thinking “not another one”.

I ultimately enjoyed a good amount of this but I felt like Scotty was so much more than he appeared and not just a clueless twink. There is quite a bit of homophobia in the book, especially from Brody. I didn’t buy them being in love.

This book was absolutely bat shit crazy and if you've read this book you know that's a compliment. The number of times I've literally just sat there laughing the whole time from start to finish. I love all the side characters as well, Tatum, Fee & Kincaid. Brody & Scotty was perfect for each & I was happy to see them get their HEA. I will be posting all my highlights on here as well.

Can't wait to read Book 2!!

Wow. This book was wild! And so much fun! I am 100% here for Scotty Delulu and Daddy Brody! I had a blast reading their unhinged love story! And while I was cackling the entire way, there were some heartbreaking moments. I cried. Poor baby Scotty was so lonely. And Brody’s struggles with his sexual identity were painful, too.

This was my first book by Lance, but I ran and grabbed his others as soon as I finished this one! Fantastic story, my guy! Cannot wait for more of this madness!

Self note: while this type of OTT ridiculousness seems right up my alley I have to avoid this one because one of the MCs is in an ‘open marriage’ how can I get my HEA if one of the MCs is married to someone else?
*sigh*

DNF @65%

I love delulu, over the top, crazy characters (I am looking at you Leland), but something about the interactions between Brody and Scotty just made feel sad for Scott. I didn’t even cringe at the weird interactions. It all felt off. The inclusion of the wife and open relationship with bff dynamic was weird. There was WAY too much sex from the get go. There was barely any character or plot building. I expected assassination attempts with near misses that could be misinterpreted as romantic by a delusional character. More of a cat and mouse game with the mouse getting the upper hand on the cat with his crazy lovesick antics. Instead, I got some weird daddy shame kink with lots of homophobia thrown in for… reasons.

A lot of people seem to love this book so it might just be a me problem. It was written okay. I just couldn’t find the dark humor that the book intended to have so all I saw was a sad man in need of love and major therapy, and a homophobe with a failing marriage.

Bummer☹️

OK. So, you might be looking at this title and wondering what the deal is with this book. And y'all, you are right to wonder - F**k, Marry, K!ll Me, Daddy is COMPLETELY unhinged. My first experience with Lance Lansdale was with We Burn Beautiful (WBB), a gorgeous angsty small town romance. This book is NOTHING like that (though is certainly has plenty of Lance's signature writing and humor). Everything that happens is wild and unexpected, the story is honestly pretty dark, but somehow it also ends up being incredibly sweet in the end? I absolutely loved it, but keep in mind that this book is unapologetically wild and that's what makes is so freaking good.

OMG y'all, sweet Scotty is COMPLETELY delusional, but somehow it makes him so freaking endearing, I LOVED him. He's somehow under the impression that the hitman hired by his father to unalive him is completely head over heels in love with him and playing a... m*rder daddy game with him? Do not worry if it makes little sense, because Brody, the hitman, doesn't get it either... but he's also very into it? And slowly, Scotty's insistence that they are IN LOVE gets to him and he ends up melting into a puddle for him. I LOVE IT. There are some questionable scenes that I wouldn't normally be into (think bully/dark vibes - check TWs!), but there are also some incredibly sweet moments, beautiful found family, and a lot of humor that had me laughing out loud. And I remember Lance telling me that when he wrote WBB he wasn't really comfortable writing spice... he's CLEARLY over it now because the spice in this book is absolutely WILD.

In the acknowledgements, Lance credits Cora Rose's Sem as an inspiration for this story, and as soon as I read that, I TOTALLY got it. F**k, Marry, K!ll Me, Daddy has a lot of the same elements as Sem - a grumpy, supposedly straight st*lker who is fascinated by a sassy twink - but everything about it is turned up to 100. So if you've read Sem, definitely keep that in mind. If you haven't - get excited because you are in for a WILD ride. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Scotty and his Murder Daddy <3
Obsessed feels like an understatement? this was literally the funniest book I have ever read, and also one of the hottest, and honestly one of the best?
If you like stabby romcoms with a healthy dose of attempted murder and sexy times held at [insert interchangeable cast of weapons]point, please look no further.
If you like utterly unhinged characters with questionable morals and the epitome of "delulu is the solulu", please look no further.
If you like iconically hilarious dialogue that will have you rolling, please look no further.
I had a wonderful time and cannot wait to dive into Lance’s back list.

Scotty is the estranged gay son of an uber-conservative, mega-homophobic Republican senator, which has left ripple effects on his life and especially his dating life. And Brody…. well, Brody is the man his father hired to kill Scotty. Unfortunately for Brody, Scotty does not seem to give a f*** about his pending murder, and is much more interested in the sexy zaddy wielding the gun to his head.

Scotty and Brody have both more than earned their places in my Favorite MCs Roster. Scotty is so sweet and crazy and just the cutest most psycho baby boy and so so so patient with Brody’s sexual awakening journey. I was really touched by the exploration of their sexual dynamics, and the adorable aftercare scenes. And DAMN the spicy scenes are SO HOT.

If daddy issues had daddy issues, they'd be Scotty. This is the most unserious book I've ever read. And I mean that in a good way.

I strongly advise taking a chill pill before this one because it's really fun and goofy but you'll only think that if you're in a zen state of mind otherwise you'll probably hate the fuck out of it.

So. We have Scotty, the most certifiably deluded twink you'll ever meet, and we have Brody. Mr Deny, Deny, Deny. The most willing victim there ever was. Gagging for it and denying everything the whole time.

My best Scotty being Scotty bits.

'It’s really neat how fast your boyfriend complies when faced with the possibility of grievous bodily harm.'

'The second day, I took action. I drove past his lovely home a total of seventy-six times.'

"Don’t ever leave me. Please? I don’t ask you for much."
Coming from a man who declared his love for Brody after their first conversation AND moved in with him uninvited the day after he saw his house.

Yep. Doesn't ask for much AT. ALL.

My best Brody being Brody bits.

Calling Scotty 'freakshow' as an endearment.

Him eating ass just fine but drawing the line at licking the balls because that would be 'too gay'.

His insistence on calling Scotty's dick small.
'A smaller-than-average dick for my smaller-than-average freak.'

It's giving 'yours is perfect, babe, the big ones hurt'

The scene with him trying to convince Scotty to let him be the one to kill him because if he doesn't, the next hitman his dad will hire will make it hurt. 💀How do you even say this with a straight face?

All time best quote from the entire book?

'Holy shit. Holy fucking shit. Jesus on the cross. Mary at the tomb. Joseph getting cuckolded by God on their honeymoon. Scotty is about to fuck me.'

There's plot. Ish. But it doesn't matter. Just enjoy the murder daddy storyline.
