There is ALOT going on in this book. We start with Shepp and Journey kidnapped by Shadow, Jericho imprisoned by his father, and Arrow in a coma under constant watch by Gabriel’s men. This story is pretty intense, there’s a lot of violence, betrayals, death, and destruction. But through it all Journey and her guys stick together and fight for their future. Journey’s sister is also on the island, and there are some return from the dead characters that I didn’t quite expect. I love how protective Shepp is, he’s so sweet and just gone for Journey. He’s been protecting her from afar for years and now is no different. Arrow is as unhinged as ever, possibly new more than in the first book. Jericho is ott possessive and also somewhat unhinged. I love the way they all care for each other, they’ve made their own little family amidst the drama and they will fight for that til the end. I love seeing the other West siblings, I’m intrigued to learn more about Rush. Hopefully his story will come after Olivia’s! I also hope we get Sunshine’s story, there is definitely alot to learn there.

I told Journey before. I'm not a hero, but a villain. And today, for her, I will live up to that label.

Twisted in Chaos was an exciting conclusion to the Destructive Devastation duet. It's another THICC read (over 800 pages here) that has a high plot-to-smut ratio. There's lots of action and bloody revenge to be had before any sexy times can occur. But when they occur, they're hot as hell!

Out of the three unhinged, red-flag-waving MMCs, Arrow is my favorite. I love his crazy ass and even forgive him his stalkery and BC tampering ways. Shepp is a very close second—my sweet, silent murder baby.

Twisted in Chaos ends in a HEA for the "good guys" with a very bloody ending for the "bad guys".

Thank you to Aly Beck for the ARC!

I read and finished this book because I liked the premise of the first book and wanted to see where the story was going.
Unfortunatly the second book was way to long. The book could have easily been 100 - 200 pages shorter. There were inconsistencies in the story and it was pretty predictable in almost all aspects even the 'plottwists'.

Oh my gosh, I actually don’t think Journey and her men could have gone through much more than what they did in this book 😢 between kidnappings, captivity, fighting pits, t%ryure, and family 💀s they have a heck of a lot to contend with! Journey has to rely on her men to get her through when her armour begins to crack which is not surprising with that she’s facing 😫 thankfully they each step up to the plate tackling their own demons and differences to working together to secure their future! Plus Journey has such an incredible strength to her and is an absolute warrior when it comes to defending her unit 👑 the 🔥 scenes in this one are just as on point as the previous book, although the boys have some intended consequences to ensure Journey fully understands just how much she is theirs 😅 it’s a rollercoaster read but these guys are out for revenge and with a few familiar faces along the way they certainly get what they want!!

Blood, destruction, and devastation are what Journey, Shepp, Jericho, and Arrow feel when they each come up against the power that is Jericho's father and the illustrious Shadow.

When they each face the harsh reality of the situations they're in, truth's that they make them question everything. Trust has them coming to terms with the fact that they're alone in this fight, or are they?

Journey, Shepp, Jericho, and Arrow are each walking a dangerous path, fighting for their survival, for their family, but most importantly, finding their way back to each other.

Because between it all, they're forced to make decisions, choices that have them going against the very fabric of who they are individually as a person, but they know that if they don't become themselves, the people they've been moulded into, they could lose everything they hold dear, and when Jericho is faced with the deepest betrayal, how does one come back from that?

Journey must face the predicament of her own situation, whilst Arrow, Shepp and Jericho couldn't be more happier, there future seems to be uncertain because the threat that is Jericho's mother has him and his family facing a situation they need to get themselves out from, and boy do they from a very familial source.

This book is a force to be reckoned with. It will leave you with a sleep hangover for days because this book was that good. What makes my heart sing is Journey connecting with her family and the love of family, no matter how powerful, is where their true strength lies.

The smexy scenes were hot, steamy, spicy, and wickedly depraved and filthy because when it comes to Journey, Jericho, Arrow and Shepp, there love for her knows no bounds, because she is there life and they will protect her with every fibre of there being.

Highly recommend both the author and the book.

I received an ARC. Therefore, I am submitting a voluntary review.

This is for the whole story. First things first, I have been taking a break from dark romance and I don’t think I was in the headspace for it. Also I don’t love mafia books in general so maybe why I didn’t love it.

I generally can get past plot holes and stupid decisions if the story is great, this was not and it really got to me. As far as dark romance, it was not well done compared to others I’ve read. It felt like a total stretch from all the other books of hers that I thought were well done and 🌶️ Most of the scenes felt forced and not organically happening. Maybe because every 🌶️ scene was overly aggressive and very few(if any) were soft to create some actual trust and connection.

I did not feel a connection to anyone except Shepp. Jericho could have been SO good, but really fell flat. Arrow was just annoying AF. I hated the chapters from his point of view and honestly don’t like him at all. Journey herself was great and I did enjoy her characters story and again the reconnection with her family. I am going to read Olivia’s story I’m sure, but don’t have high hopes at this point 🤦🏼‍♀️

Journey & Jericho not getting any closure with Gabriel felt cheap and was a huge letdown. The Devils were terrible at what they were doing even though they constantly said they had it all locked down. Clearly they didn’t and their father knew everything they were planning. All this and it was well over 1000 pages for both books combined. That’s a lot of story for not much to tell.

I have been waiting for part 2 and i could not wait to dive into it! It starts off with a bang and right where we left off !!
Shepp and Journey are taken by Shadow and our being held captive on a private island secret resort! Whatttt!! We finally learn the identity of the allusive Shadow and his plans!! While on the island Journey and Shepps love grows stronger than ever! New insights are found on the island when they find Sunshine is also on the island and why!! (I feel there is another story to tell for sunshine!!) Jericho and Arrow work with relatives of both Jericho and Journey to find away to get Shepp and Journey back, (loved those interactions with Journeys Bro family!! They form new alliances to take back their rightful place in power! The plot thickens with so many revelations! I was on the edge of your seat as things unravelled as the foursome fight to get back to one another!!! Oh and Arrow is just as unhinged as ever. I enjoyed that very much lol!
Like all her series Ally never disappoints with faced paced action and spice! I could never of anticipated where this was going and i loved that!!

“You know how to make a bad boy want to fall to his knees and worship you like you’re his goddess.” Arrow 🖤

Firstly thankyou Aly for the amazing recap of everything that happened in book one! I definitely needed that 😂 We were left with the brutal cliffhanger and book 2 definitely doesn't disappoint and doves straight back into the storyline. The book is literally it's name - chaos! They're all separated and for every step forward they take they get hit with 3 steps back. I loved seeing how strong Journey was throughout it all and never gave up on her loved one's. Journey and Shepp becoming each other's pillars of strength just made me love Shepp even more. Now I loved all her guys before especially Jericho (because you know bad boy and all that) but honestly Arrow became my fave in this book. My heart was broken for him - no spoilers but I was actually crying for him! I loved all the crossovers and I'm so here for more West family dinners and can't wait to see what happens next and I'm super excited for Olivia's story I already know it's going to be dark and pull on my heart. Aly thankyou for another amazing read. I honestly think each story just gets better and better 🖤

I needed to take a break after reading this to calm down cause I was HURT. This author did something to someone that I will NEVER get over. So yeah I needed a break to grief so now I'm gonna move on and try to never think about it again cause I don't like crying 😭😭

Now I think half way through the book I lost hope these characters were gonna get a happy ending. They went through so much it was insane. They got out of a dangerous situation just to be stuck in another right after.

The one thing that was constant was their love for each other. The love and obsession the guys had with journey and their bromance was cute. They would destroy the world for each other if it means they all safe and healthy. They all have different personalities but they work amazingly together especially when it comes to Journey. They loved her with everything in them.

They most definitely got the happy ending they deserved and fought for. I'm really curious to see if we get a book about Journeys sister when she's grown in the future. I would love one honestly need to see her being an adult with Mik. Also really interested in Ruthless.

I loved the main characters here. Arrow is one of my all-time favorite unhinged characters. Every time he appeared here he was always saying or doing some of the craziest things ever. Plus, the pet lions! I just had a hard time putting this one down. It feels like it took me forever to read it though and I blame it on this one being a longer book. But other than that, I had a lot more fun with this one than the first book. It did leave me wanting a tiny bit more here and there. Especially with the HEA for this harem. But I cannot wait until we get Olivia's story! Olivia is one of my favorites and I need more info on here! She is just kind of mysterious and we just get tiny bits of her here and there, but she was actually in both of these books a lot since she is Jericho's cousin, and it just made me want her story even more! If you like this author, then you'll love this duology just know they are both long. The first one is a bit rough in the beginning because it lays out a lot of stuff that becomes important in the overall story and then this one has the most action and suspense.

happily ever maybe?

Twisted in Chaos is book two in the series Destructive Devastation by author Aly Beck. Well this part of the series has come to an end. Although I’m sure Aly has some interesting ideas up her sleeve. So before I get on with my review I want to give some history- I’ve read Kaycee’s series- where you meet the first West’s - Zeppelin & Seger. Then River’s book and all her interests. And now Journey’s tale and what a blast that was. So many twisted and turns it will make your head explode- lol no that’s Arrow’s job.
Anywho, I love the way all the other characters are intertwined and how all the newer characters interact with each other. (hoping some get books of their own!!!- pretty please) The spiciness is off the charts even if it’s a little psycho.
The dark things are really dark but they have to be for these characters to grow and succeed.
Lastly I want to say even with all the darkness, gore and madness there’s laughter - I giggled so much reading these books - thank you for adding the bit of light into the darkness.
Enjoy!!

West and her Mafia

First, I absolutely love the recaps at the beginning of the book, even though it is hard to forget the cliffhanger, it was nice for recaps.

This has to be my favorite book universe out of all the books I have read. I love the West siblings and I never want them to end, so I guess thank you daddy West for not being able to keep it in your pants and then giving your children trauma? I am excited for Olivia's story and also to learn more about Rush West.

I love the Mafia trope and how unhinged the guys are, especially Arrow. So, while it is darker in a sense, it is also funny.

I also liked the group chat of all the siblings and how we get to see the past characters.

This is also a big duet but I was able to read it quickly. I can not wait for the next series.

3.0⭐️

there were genuinely so many things wrong with this book. one it was so unnecessary long. like for absolutely no reason did it need to be that long. part of the reason it was so long is because the author would tell us something/make one character reveal something to the other, and then forget about it just to tell us all over again. i had to reread cause i thought i was crazy. there was also a bunch of typos. it also was really weird to me the marriage--> sexual relationship between FOURTEEN year olds?? yeah no. super weird and uncomf. also why was EVERY RELATIONSHIP in this book poly. what is the need?? i really don't get it 😩. lastly the "love" in this book felt entirely sexual. the only characters who really demonstrated love were shepp and journey but that's IT. so so disappointing!

What an amazing conclusion to this duet, I loved it! Definitely a favorite read of mine, this book was so good!

It’s intense. It’s such an emotional ride, there’s suspense, action I didn’t know what was going to happen next. It’s a very plot focused book, there’s still a lot of hot spice. I just loved all of it!

The relationships are amazing, there’s also strong friendships in this book. I love Journey. She’s such a strong and fierce fmc. The men!? Omg they’re perfect. They’re so different but all so obsessed with Journey.

If you like dark why choose, with twists, revenge, and hot spice…you’ll love this duet!

I absolutely love Arrow. He’s my favourite character but if there’s one thing you will learn from this duet it’s do not accept a drink from him.

I loved this duet. I loved all the cameos we get from previous series.

The writing is phenomenal. I loved the character development of all our main and secondary characters, plus their relationship developments.

I loved that we got an even amount of POV’s from each characters and the perfect balance of knowing what was happening to each character whilst they were separated.

For anyone wanting to know where this duet sits in the timeline it's after The Apocalypse Society trilogy, after Bitter Notes but before Sweet Strings in the Second Sets Duet.

Chaos rules!

Separated...in danger...and surrounded by unknowns Journey and the guys are back. This second book in this duet is going to keep readers on the edge of their seats.

Secrets are everywhere and some huge surprises will come to light. Journey and guys have been preparing for Jericho's father but there's more going on that they'll have to uncover. One thing is clear...all of them will be forced to face their demons.

The mystery, the struggle, and the connection between all of them is what makes this book so good. There are times when they have to stand on their own, but the best parts are when they are there for each other. I also loved seeing some familiar faces join our fab four. And Arrow's mind is very entertaining...and hilarious.

Great conclusion!

Non stop chaotic action

Wow such an action packed book, the first one was a lot but this second book of the duet sure packs it in. I had to stop and think several times about what was happening there’s just so much.
It’s a fantastic tale with so many twists I never saw coming. Journey and her guys have a massive fight on their hands with enemies they never saw coming.
What can I say about the guys, so many red flags, especially Arrow who’s certifiably crazy. Journey will have all on with him, tho Jericho isn’t much better. The sweetest one is Shepp, so glad she has him to curtail the others.
I’m mega curious about Olivia and Rush, really hoping that they’ll get their own books, loving the stories of the West siblings.
A fantastic read and an amazing plot.

What does Aly Beck write that doesnt automatically draw us in and bring us on a journey. This story gives us destruction, blood and gore and, under handiness.

We have seen before Journey, Shepp, Jerricho and arrow working together as that is where their strengths lie, but this story takes us on another journey by themselves where they have to fight to get back to what they want and where they were their family. This book has so much more than book one that amplifies the men in so many ways, can arrow be more unhinged than book 1, can Jericho be more possessive oh yes they really can.

Then what more can we ask for all that spice and it is so there.

Love the interaction with the other West siblings. So much more books to come.

Such an amazing Duet!!

‼️ARC Review‼️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5

I devoured this book! I loved reading Journey’s story. The whole universe that Aly has created is absolutely amazing. We see characters from her other series as well as meet new ones. And I can very much say I can’t wait for what she has in store for us in the future!

I loved reading the action, drama, love, hate.. everything that this duet had to offer. I was literally eating it up. Sheppard is by far my favorite out of the series. He is such a gentle giant. I loved how chaotic and unhinged Arrow was. And I also loved how obsessed Jericho was with Journey.

There were lots of laughs, tears, and feet kicking when I read this story and I couldn’t get enough. Be sure to check it out! You won’t regret it!

Aly is my favorite!!!!

Twisted in Chaos is book 2 in the Destructive Devastation duet. This is a dark why choose romance.

Arrow has my heart forever and freaking always!!!

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat! I swear I chewed my nails, gasped, giggled, swooned and kicked my feet so dang much!!! I can't even put how this book made me feel into words. It's beautiful, emotional, spicy, and it gives the perfect ending to Journey and the guys story. I am obsessed!

The cameos from other characters you know and love made my heart so happy (looking at you my boo, Carter 😂)!!! I need to know more about Rush too 👀 👀

I just want to stay in this world, with these characters forever!

This duet is definitely one you don't wanna skip over! All the stars to you Aly!

i was on the edge of my seat just starting this book, mostly because of book 1's cliffhanger. there is so much going on, and we see a lot more from the guys' povs this time around too compared to book 1. i really liked how we got an even amount of seeing what each was up to after being separated at the end of book 1 but without missing too much. like with it going from 'what journey is up to at this point in time' to 'what arrow is up to at that exact same point in time elsewhere' for example. very well executed. and mAN THE TWISTS AND TURNS. some of my theories ended up being right and some ended up being wrong, with all the reveals. arrow really went through a wringer in this book, emotions wise. poor guy, i wanted to give him a hug a lot. and shepp! his growth this book was amazing, im so happy for him. jericho too grew up a lot this book. also the alliances made in this war between team jericho, his dad and the mysterious shadow. and the cameo's of character from previous books!!! like my husband- carter and the lovely olivia appearing again. i can not wait for the next series set in this universe.

This one picks up pretty much exactly where we left off in Twisted in Obsession, but with a few curveballs pretty early on. At the end of book one, almost everyone was forced apart and they are determined to make their way back to each other. There are a lot of twists in this book, but it kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt like the book was never slow, there was always something happening. I am not ready to let go of these characters and we can only hope they pop up in the future.

Another West sibling has found their HEA and I couldn't be more excited for Journey! I can't wait to see what's next!

Amazing Conclusion

This was an absolutely amazing conclusion to this duet. Once again Aly Beck his written a book that I would read over and over again. I was hooked start to finish. I love have the guys POV's . I love Journey and her men. They guys are all so different but also the same in many ways. This book picks up from the cliffhanger in the first book and just pulls you right in. There are still so many twists and plenty of spice. There are emotional highs and lows before we get to the end. I love this world and I can't wait to read about the other West siblings. I highly recommend this duet and anything Amy Beck writes.

I’ve been waiting for this second instalment to come out for so long when it hit my kindle I had to hold in a little scream.

I’m obsessed with Alys work have been since her first book and this one didn’t disappoint, she writes RH so well each member of the harem has such distinct personalities and relationships you don’t get mixed up. Arrow is certifiably insane but I’m obsessed, what can I say? I like them unhinged.

The plot is gripping and has you wanting more, I’m so excited for the next one already! I love that it’s an entire world that crosses over because I’m obsessed with it the West family.

This book just proves how much Aly Beck’s books pay off. Leaving us on that cliffhanger at the initiation ball was brutal especially when the core four didn’t get back together until over half way in this book.
This book torn my heart into shreds and stitched it right back up. Shepp taking his voice back, Arrow controlling himself, Jericho stepping in vulnerability, and Journey’s actual journey to finding the family she always wanted.
It was everything and more. My only thing I wish because we had one more spicy scene with all four of them. This second part of the duet wasn’t as spicy as the first book but still so good.

I absolutely loved this duet. It was amazing to get Journeys story.

I just wish that we got more of an epilogue from her and her guys. We got one with Kaycee and River so not getting one in this book was a bit of a disappointment tbh.

I absolutely loved the characters though and their story. It was also cool seeing some familiar faces. Especially one whose story hasn’t been fully told yet.

I do hope we get a series for both Sunny and Rush. It would be amazing to see them.

Poor Arrow in this book. Shepp finally got past his demon. Jericho got answers. I just wish we got a bit more.

I can’t wait to read Olivia’s story next.
