Beautifully bound in a light brown leathersoft binding, with golden gilt page edges, 2 ribbon markers, complete with verse-by-verse commentary, concordance, 7 full color maps, this NKJV study Bible from Thomas Nelson is my new go to for everyday study.
Good size font for more comfortable reading, double column layout, book introductions, with essays and application notes throughout. I grew up going to the internet for David Guzik's verse by verse commentaries, liking his straightforward and easy to understand way of bringing out deep themes from the text. When using the bible, you can simple look down to the blue lettered portion and read commentary that accompanies the text. It makes it easy to study, larger themes, and nuances of the translation without leaving the text.
A great first study bible, for someone just getting into commentaries, as well as for the seasoned Christian. Well laid out format, easy to read, and beautifully bound. Great gift for yourself or someone else!
