About the author

I am an independent author living in Ithaca New York. My first novel, Specimen Tank, was published in 1994 by Manic D. Press, under the name Buzz Callaway. On my website lastbender.com you will find The Man Who Can't Die as an eBook download, and The Last Bender, posted as chapters. I am also a poet and food writer and publish recipes and essays on my website. I am married, and have 5 children from two marriages. I grew up in the New York suburbs and lived for many years in Manhattan. I attended Oberlin College for a year. My works do not fit easily into categories. I am not an academic writer. I work full time and write in the evenings.
