Christy got a donation of telephone and wires so that Cutters Gap could be connected to the world..it was going to be a big job running the wires over Boggin Mountain would be the easiest option but there were tales of a Boggin living on the mountain.... a strange mountain creature and everyone avoided the Mountain rather than facing their fears.

spoiler alert below
Part of the myth was being fuelled by the owner of a still secreted under bushes by the river, and part by an oldtimer who had been hidden in a cabin on the mountain for a number of years.

This is another episode about a mountain superstition, this time of the Boggin, a bigfoot-like creature that supposedly lives in the mountains. Only after a number of sightings and rumors and even fear on Christy's own part, it turns out that the Boggin is nothing but a lonely old man. Christy and the Spencers enlist the Boggin (whose name turns out to be Edward) in leveraging the rumors about him to help to right a wrong in the cove-- and they make a new friend in the process.

This is a great book on how you can have internal fear and you can overcome them.
