" Scandalous Secrets: Ein Baby vom Boss" ist der 2. Teil der Baby Confessions Reihe. Die Bücher können unabhängig voneinander gelesen werden. Die Geschichte handelt von Monica und Troy. Beide lernen sich in einer Bar kennen und verbringen eine Nacht miteinander. Doch dann kommt das Böse erwachen. Monica fängt ihren neuen Job an und ausgerechnet Troy ist ihr neuer Chef. Genauere Informationen zum Buch findet Ihr im Klappentext am Ende der Rezension. Die Geschichte von Monica und Troy hat mir super gefallen. Beide Charaktere habe ich sofort ins Herz geschlossen. Ich finde beide Charaktere machen eine tolle Entwicklung durch. Mich hat das Buch von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite vollkommen in den Bann gezogen. Für mich hat das Buch alles was man sich wünscht. Das Cover zum Buch gefällt mir super. Die Geschichte wird aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven erzählt. Durch die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven kann man sich super in die Charaktere hineinversetzen. Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist absolut fesselnd und mitreißend. Ich kann das Buch nur weiterempfehlen. Danke für die tollen Lesestunden. Absolute Leseempfehlung. ❤️❤️❤️

Monica ist Liebesroman-Autorin und steckt in einer Krise, ihr letzter Roman floppte und sie braucht dringend ein geregeltes Einkommen. Schließlich kostet das Leben in New York Geld und das fehlt ihr.
Sie bekommt die Chance als Assistentin sich zu bewähren und ist nicht wirklich angetan von dem Boss, der seine Assistentinnen zu verschlingen scheint.
Bevor sie jedoch ihre neue Stelle antritt, geht sie mit Addison abends noch in eine Bar. Dort trifft sie auf einen attraktiven Mann und lässt sich auf ein Abenteuer mit ihm ein. Eine unglaubliche Nacht steht ihr bevor und doch muss sie am Morgen sich beeilen und seine Wohnung verlassen, schließlich beginnt ihr neuer Job.
Tja, was soll ich sagen, Troy ist am Morgen verwirrt weil er alleine Aufwacht, das kennt er so nicht und bekommt Monica auch nicht aus seinem Kopf. Es ärgert ihn maßlos, dass sie die war die ging.
Er geht zur Arbeit, denn er bekommt eine neue Assistentin und die will er nicht warten lassen. Nur diesmal könnte es anders laufen als erwartet 🤭. Vor ihm steht Monica, die Frau die er ohne Kleidung kennt, jeden Zentimeter ihrer Hat genossen hat und doch sollte sie Tabu sein, denn sein Vater droht ihn zu enterben, wenn es noch einmal passiert.
Nur Troy wäre nicht Troy, wenn er nicht mit dem Feuer spielen würde, denn was er will, das bekommt er auch.
Eine tolle Story, die mich sofort in einen Bann gezogen hat, unglaubliche Protagonisten die so manche Steine aus dem Weg räumen mussten und von den Missverständnissen reden wir erst mal gar nicht.
Eine ganz klare Kauf-Leseempfehlung.

excellent work
I like this book from the start. Monica was struggling with a writers block, and a friend of hers suggested a job. She knew of Monica wasn't sure about being a personal assistant, but was excited for her new job, but she went out one night after she was feeling down in the dumps She saw a good looking man across the bar. She's never done a one night stand, but she thought what the heck who was staring at her across a busy bar she ended up sleeping with him and had the best sex of her life little did she know that she would walk into the office of her new employer and they stood Troy they both were shocked and didn't know how to handle the situation. Troy was a rich bachelor man who had slept with many personal assistance. This was known by many, but they started up in a relationship, and Monica felt that her and Troy were just having a sexual relationship, but for both of them it was hot and heavy little did they know that they fell for each other in a Tumultuous relationship that ended on a good note. Very good read

Man-ho’s are really hard to like.
I tried to like Troy in the beginning, and it took a loooong time for me to even consider liking him…
He had a lot of growing up to do, and the hurt he inflicted was way beyond what I would tolerate.
I’ll be honest - I shipped her friendship with his sister more than I did Monica and Troy! 🤣
This book was long - I tend to read slightly shorter so I can finish without staying up all night….
The issue with this is the author has plenty of opportunities to create drama and keeps you reading!
The OW was vile, the father was a douche and the female lead was slightly neurotic. A recipe for numerous disasters so I was hooked! 🤣
A solid read, but be prepared to stay up well past your bedtime.

Monica never expected that her one night stand would turn out to be her new boss. She is trying to make ends meet when she gets the job as Troy's assistant but when he sees whom she is from the other night he wants more than just her office experience and right when things appear to be going in the right direction for them his past makes a comeback. Will Monica and Troy's newfound relationship shatter. This story had me all caught up in the drama and cheering on Monica and Troy to get their chance for happiness.

3.5 stars. Monica and Troy's story was a good read and all but...The description from Amazon was not how the story went--just like the first book. This should be fixed for those who get their books based off of this description. This book basically followed the same outline as the first book. The twists, occupations and characters change but I felt like I was re-reading the first book in the beginning. The dramatic plot twists were good in a way to make it different but the ending was almost the same.

Talk about dramatic ending!
The one thing I enjoyed about this story was that it was focused on the couple. I felt Troy could've manned up much sooner. The downside was too many breakups, and not being truthful. His father was out of control and his mother should have been informed. Though the book dragged a bit, the author used her literary license for a dramatic ending that was enjoyable to the edge of your seat!

Ignore the blurb
A good read, but the blurb as half of what is written in the blurb doesn’t happen!!!
I’d ignore half the blurb cos if your waiting for the FMC to find out she is pregnant and the vitamin encounter, it never happens.
Saying that, there are a number of storylines going on that impact and there is so much that they could have put on the blurb that did happen.

This author's style is very easy to follow. Her characters are easy to imagine and the spicy nature of them follows the usual tropes. What I love about this one is the lack of predictability with the twists. Good read.

I only picked because of rating
And I shouldn’t have bothered. Terrible book. Rubbish characters and massive plot holes. Literally lines after a description of boxed wine it’s being opened with bottle opener. This was just one of the many errors. Avoid! I don’t know what other people saw in this book.

Meh
Having to read 80+% of this book before the FMC figures out shes pregnant after ridiculous amounts of alcohol and seafood consumption in between just drove me nuts. Especially with the title and summary leading the story that the one night stand led to an unintended pregnancy. So you knew she was pregnant the whole story. I just couldn't get around the misrepresentation.

If you're looking for a good romance, this is it.

misleading blurb
The blurb was very misleading, most of the blurb never happened in the book. So I liked the book but was confused through most of the book because I kept waiting for what the blurb promised to happen, which never did.

Good read. The only thing that kept throwing me off was the most was the summary.
The only thing that’s true in the summary is the one night stand, boss the next day, and a pregnancy in 12 weeks.
Knowing what it’s about, I may read it again since I won’t be confused on what the book is about.

A Fantastic Romance

I really enjoyed this book. I really loved how Troy & Monica's characters evolved and grew. It also showed how anything is possible when you follow your dreams. I also loved how Heart and Daniel made some appearances there as well. Very good read!

I enjoyed reading this book. The author writes great books. It is a stand alone book with a light link to book 1.. The main characters go through several issues, like life or death experience, before getting to their HEA. It’s a good book to read. I have to be honest and say that I enjoyed Whispered Sins the most.
