Parker Stratton is a below-average Joe when it comes to talking to women.

He sees an unusual personal ad from a woman who trains men to become better daters, and replies out of idle curiosity.

Little does he know he will decide to go through with the plan, and he learns far more than he realized he would.

As Jess tries to remain passive and emotionally distant, he becomes more obsessed with who she is and why she lives the life she does.

When they accidentally stumble upon each other in "real life" being impersonal is no longer an option.

He comes to learn that she is not all she seems to be, there is far more to her story than he ever expected.

I found this book to be disappointing. The story felt contrived from the start and only got worse as it progressed. Unfortunately, after a relatively interesting opening, it became very derivative of other works with the over-the-top depictions of The sex scenes weren't bad, but also weren't particularly inspired. (Or inspiring.) But what really dropped this to two stars was the ending. There is so much cheese on that ending, it may as well be a pizza.

Fairly well written with some editing issues, mostly typos and missing words, but not too distracting. This is a stand-alone book with no cliffhanger. 3.5 stars, rounded up.

This was a unique storyline with an odd combination of fairytale and suspense. The fairytale feeling arises from the almost relentless set of coincidences that continuously force this couple to cross paths.

The male lead is almost too likeable, forgiving every strange comment and deed of the female lead, who is one of the strangest, most unlikely female characters I think I've ever read. Despite the almost bi-polar unbelievability of her character, I found myself pulling for her, and for their romance to work out.

In spite of the complicated storyline, this is a sweet romance with a fair amount of heat.

Recommended for fans of unlikely romance, unlikely heroes and nerdy environmentalists.

5 star surprise

Wow! I'm so glad I stumbled across this gem of a book. The Ad was a completely unexpected great read. Tessa and Parker gave me a whirlwind of emotions throughout that had me up all night just to finish reading.
The plot twists, sexual heat, character chemistry and overall smooth writing gave me exactly what I LOVE to find in books.
I'll definitely be looking for more from Elle Quinn Cage.
