Wrath of the Fallen #4

Nephilim the Unleashed (Zorn der Gefallenen 4)

Rate this book

Okay so this dwindled for me.

We find out what she shifts into literally the last sentence of the book. 😒.... yeah.

Still a very solid 🖕🏽 to Cas. Good on Faith for forgiving him and I love that for her. But couldn't be me.

What happened to Rose? I wanna know what they do/did to her. What did Lilith decide?

Speaking of Lilith, what happened to her, (Lilith's) Sam, Azarel, Maze and all our fav demons? I know it's not their story but I feel like I'm stuck on a cliffhanger. I wanna know more.

Is Christ apart of Tartarus since he sealed it 2000 years ago? He only shadowed up when the guys were fading out right? That was him?

Who was the man at the end that she saw having a laugh with his friends before the sky went dark? What does that last word mean? Did I miss a part? I'll admit, it's possible. When they got a little preachy in the monologs, I tended to skim.

Euriel's grovel wasn't very long but damn if that man didn't sacrifice to prove his love for her 🥰

Where the fuck was Shaddiel? We didn't meet that douchebag at all? I feel jipped. How rude.

Otherwise, great book! Great concept! Love the harem (🖕🏽 Cas). Good twists. Solid 3.5-4 stars for the whole enchilada. Average of 🌶🌶🌶/5. Loved all the group loving but I would have liked to see more one on one time with each of them (mainly Sam) so we could see that connection physically grow.

A really nice way to close out this amazing series...I am sad to see it go, but it was the right time for it to end. Yes, a few plot holes here and there that will never be closed up, but that's every book. Faith was great until the end, and while a little bit of her transformation was glossed over, we got the point. Yes, there are religious undertones in this book, but in a "re-written fairytale" sort of way and not an "author is secretly trying to convert you to religion" sort of way. I'm pretty firmly anti-church and was completely unbothered.

I'm so pleased with the way the harem relationships all developed, both as a group and independently, and this book really cinches it for me that I like my RHs best with some m/m involvement as well.

The saddest thing for me is that I'd like to own these books as physical copies (and I probably will) but the covers are just...really YA vibes and not what I tend to curate on my physical shelves, so I find that annoying. Maybe at some point hardcovers will be released with slightly more subdued covers?

Definitely interested in reading more from this author.

This was the final book of the Wrath of the Fallen series. The final book, the final battle, the final heartbreak! Too many finals! I was crying while I was reading this. Everyone was going to die! With no way to stop the big bad, no clues on how to stop him and literally running out of hope, I thought everyone was going to die. I know I died for a bit because I really didn't want my favorites to die. But the bright side, thanks to the characters thinking that they're all going to die, we get the "I think we're gonna die soon, so I'm going to finally admit the feelings I've been having all along" moments, along with reaffirmations of love moments. Complete swoon worth moments. This is one of my all time favorite series this year! I am a Blackthorne fan for life now! I even did a whole book blog on the book, so check that out if you want to know my full thoughts on the book!

I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I think this did a great job of building my love for this series back up after the third book but it couldn’t fully get me back to where I was. I think the author did a great job of creating her own twist on the biblical stories though I’m not to sure how much I got behind the whole semi villainizing of God. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was focused more on the fact that he was just first and not alright which a moment where we actually got to meet him and he got humbled compared to the he’s an asshole approach that was taken. Overall I think Eurial did a great job of redeeming himself and I appreciate that he actually had to make the effort in rather than just getting an automatic pass since she loved him. The tree of life plot was great and I think did a wonderful job of wrapping up this series. I’m definitely happy that I ended up picking this last book up even though I avoided it due to the third book’s disappointment. Will definitely look move into this author’s work in the future since she does a great RH!

The final book of the Wrath of the Fallen series and wow what a showstopper! This is the final battle and I had no idea how this was going to play out at all. I was completely along for this whirlwind of emotions that kept on hitting as each strike hit. I honestly don’t think this series gets enough credit for just how much work is put into it with incredible world building, characters that really make you feel for them, chemistry between our FMC Faith and the guys that is incredible and the steam that’s incredibly hawt especially that MM. The book almost turns religion on it’s head with the final battle both heaven and hell must try to come together to fight a common enemy though some fight this harder than others. I loved everything about this series and I absolutely can’t wait to see what comes from Elizabeth Blackthorne next.

I’m going to miss this series.

I’m going to miss this series. All that they have all overcome. Euriel coming such a long way, getting over his condemnation, letting love in, and the sacrifice, and man that ending, or close to the ending. I couldn’t stop crying. What a great come back after all. The last RH sex scene was so hot and so elaborate. It’s was good to finally find out what Faith could shift into at the end. It explains the lioness leading her to the cave where she got the rest of her power. I was wondering at the end if the author would possibly mention anything about Faith getting pregnant. Especially since she now has the additional powers of all her lovers and a goddess, and having been born a fallen angel. I would assume she would eventually but it’s fine not knowing. They shouldn’t be in a rush since almost all of them are immortal anyway.

Exciting

This series had a great plot. I enjoyed the main characters. The villains were truly villains. The good people were likeable. While I didn't have a problem with most of the biblical references or the fact that angels were not the good guys, I didn't like in the ending when the "It is finished" and "Into your hands I commend my spirit" lines were used. The author said she wasn't trying to offend anyone. But I felt like it was a bit much to make that scene comparable to Jesus' death right down to using the words he used when he died. Again, most of the religious \biblical references weren't bothersome. But that one kind of bothered me because it took it too far for my taste. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though. Still, I enjoyed the series and recommend it. It's definitely entertaining.

Oh wow. I have been following Faith's journey since the beginning and I am so sad her story is finished!

This is the final book in the Wrath of the Fallen series and just wow, Elizabeth did not disappoint. We get that all important, potentially world destroying final battle in this book, and I was on the edge of my seat, waiting to see how it all would all play out. I was so happy how all of the guys finally gave in to their feelings for Faith as she needed every single one of them to get through the battle.
All of the little twists and turns kept me thoroughly hooked, I didnt want to put the book down as I had to know what would happen next.

Elizabeth you have built and amazing world for Faith and her guys and I cannot wait to see what you do next!

Where has this author been in all my RH reading life? LOL. I love the characters and the pacing with these books, 4 books in the series was just perfect. It gave us the right amount of character and world building and ticks off all the boxes I have for an RH. I thought at first it was insta-love but it's not! I liked the FMC in this one because she was funny and witty. Each guys also had their own personality and it was quite nice to one of them grow and wake. There were some parts that I had to skim just cause the author was quite enamored in her explanation of certain locations. The ending was perfect and just, but I did cry and question my sanity for a bit there. BUT ALL GOOD. lol

Holy wow! I am so sad to see this wonderful series end, but what an ending! I love Faith and her men, it was great seeing them all grow as individuals and as a group. Gut wrenching and hard hitting action, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Once I started, I read it in one go, simply couldn't put it down. All was revealed, and there was not a single loose end left at the end. My emotions were all over the place, it was as much a joy to read as the previous three books. Such a great series.

I am absolutely obsessed with this series and I am so sad to say goodbye to these amazing characters. This book was one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride and at times it was hard to read (wipes tear away). Faith absolutely blew my mind in this book with her strength, courage and love. One of my favourite parts of this book is when the truth is revealed about what Faith really is and it made me an emotional mess (picture extremely ugly crying) I absolutely loved the ending because it was the perfect way to finish the series.

I have loved this series so much and my heart was in my mouth for this final book.
I was in tears thinking the ending meant the end for some or all of the characters. The writing just pulls you in and you get so invested in the characters. I love it. I love how FINALKY they admitted feelings, even though it took "we might all die" to drag it out of them, but just WOW.
Loved the ending, loved the series. Sad it's over, but can't wait to see what Elizabeth writes next!

What a ride!

I love every moment of this book! This series has taken me on such a journey with Faith and her men. I didn't want it to end. The action!!! The suspense has me hanging on every twist and turn. Elizabeth truly out did herself. The biblical references just made it even better!! I love how it all tied in together. I won't spoil the fun but that epilogue had me jumping for joy!! That you for such a great story!!

it’s probably not for everyone!

I skipped past some things I felt were disturbing religiously, but otherwise it was a decent read! Im an avid reader and normally I get through series rather quickly, however, these last two books took me a lot longer than normal to finish!
I am not sure why That is, but I kept not even wanting to finish the book.

It’s an interesting series but offensive to some I am sure!

So this series has really got to me. I enjoyed the writing and the story is so good. I reread the other books to get into rthe groove again but it really wasn't necessary. The action is on point and this book had the perfect ending but once you start you'll be sucked into this epic story. I can't wait what more stories are to come. Author to watch for sure.

total let down.

First off you don’t find what kind of shifter she is until the last line of the book. It’s not even in an exciting way. This book revolves around too many drawn out, over the top sex scenes that aren’t necessary. Really pissed after reading the first three for it to end so crappy.

Amazing Book and Series!

What an amazing end to this series! This book was full of emotional upheavals and I will freely admit I was crying near the end. Regardless of my sadness at seeing the end of this series, it couldn’t have been concluded better. I truly enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend it and the rest of the books in this series.

oh this is one for a re read!

A brand new author with her first series down and OMG is is fantastic!
No beating around the bush, forgetting parts or wiring them different. Everything was so well written, characters flowed like water, you’d never realise this was such a new author.
Elizabeth is now being followed and stalked for her best best seller!

Love

Pure unadulterated love! I couldn't have asked for a better ending. This series has been amazing and I'm so glad that I read it. Elizabeth really knows how to write a RH. There is absolutely no confusion on who is doing what to whom in the scenes with multiple partners. 12/10 recommend

A very interesting take on the battle between heaven and hell

I can honestly say the whole series was pretty cool. I can tell the author is well researched in Christian mythos. I wouldn't have guessed most of these twists and turns. The whole thing is pretty hot too, albeit a few unrealistic sex scenes 🌶😂

War and battle

She's on trial, they are under house arrest . betrayed and no idea what's going to happen, on top of it all possessed Cain is still reeking havoc with no one try to stop him. We find out who's the daddy and some meanings if bible references which I enjoyed the twists. So glad for the men and fate.

Brilliant series

I absolutely loved this series. There are some minor editing errors across the books but nothing too bad. Occasionally the wrong name is put in etc. It could be riddled with errors and I probably wouldn't care just because the story was so nice. Great spice, great characters, great pretty much everything. Love love love.

Wonderful series

I would recommend this series to anyone that loves a strong, independent woman that doesn’t hesitate to not be dominant to anyone. Wonderful men to love her and accept her as she is.

surprised

Really enjoyed all 4 books in the series and was grilled from the start. I was slightly disappointed in the ending when we found out what animal faith turned into and then the book finished. Would like to have found out more happy stuff of faith and her men.

the most blasphemous book I have ever read.

These books are the most blasphemous books I have ever read. It’s a shame because the author tells a great story, but each book in this series was more and more sacrilegious.

Somewhat Satisfying Ending

I enjoyed this series. I would have loved to see more character development and less - ahem - ya know. It would have made the story that much more robust. The end was a bit rushed, but overall the characters were pretty solid
