When I looked into her beautiful blue eyes for the first time, it was love at first sight. She’s the only woman I have ever met who seems to be immune to my charm. But we have a slight problem. She's my physical therapist, and she’s off-limits. I’m not a quitter though and I definitely don’t like to follow the rules.
I left home so I didn’t feel so suffocated, by my family or my past. Instead, I get to work with MLB players every day rehabbing them throughout their season. My job was easy until Roscoe Russel came along. He flirts with me non-stop and it’s getting harder to resist his charming ways. I have built my walls up high and there’s no way he can tear them down.
Will Roscoe find the way to Colette’s heart, or will she always be Unattainable?
I had the privilege to alpha and beta Roscoe and Colette.
I absolutely LOVE Roscoe and how obsessed he is with Colette. But Colette is our rule follower and was scared to admit her feelings. She was his physical therapist and he was a professional baseball player...what a pickle they were stuck in. Roscoe flirted SHAMLESSLY and once Colette gave in, we got to experience his dirty talking first hand and I was drooling. A couple times I had to pick up my jaw off the floor lol.
While there is a third act break up, it was definitely needed to help each of them grow in different ways. And KJ did not make us suffer too long.
Thank you KJ for allowing me to be apart of your team <3
4.5 ⭐ 2.5 🌶️ Ouf, this series. Equally fun, lighthearted, romantic, and spicy as well as so full of real life struggles and heartache. Gets ya right in the feels. Please make sure to check out the TW, there is representation of many things, done very well.
Roscoe is cocky and flirty, but really only has eyes for Colette. He's patient and determined, willing to play the long game bc he knows she's the one. Love both MCs and this series.
I really enjoyed this story and am very appreciative to the author for allowing me to obtain an ARC. Roscoe and Colette’s characters were layered with different lived experiences, but balanced each other out beautifully and brought the best out of each other. I found myself not being able to put the book down until I found out how their story ended!
First off I loved this book so much. It was the book I didn't know I needed to read. Getting me out of a major romanticy reading slump. Roscoe and Colette's story so perfect and sweet. It's not perfect but life it's perfect and sometimes it like to remind us all of that.

A sizzling, swoony secret romance that kept me up way past my bedtime—and I have zero regrets. The forbidden love and secret relationship tropes kept the tension high, while the found family vibes and hilarious teammates (hello 👋🏼 Jace!) balanced out the heavier mental health themes. I loved how openly this book tackled OCD, intrusive thoughts, therapy, and grief without ever feeling preachy or heavy-handed. Colette and Roscoe helped each other heal in ways that felt real, she helped him open up, and he helped her find peace in the chaos.
The only negative was after a major emotional blow-up, we were robbed of the grovel. TEN. WEEKS. Roscoe ghosted Colette for ten weeks, came back with a half-hearted apology, and that was… it? Colette, girl, you deserved at least a kneeling on the mound love declaration.
Still, this was a standout baseball romance with lovable characters, laugh-out-loud team antics, and positive mental health representation that felt like a warm hug wrapped in a jersey. If you’re into forbidden workplace romance, him-falling-first charmers, and soft hearts hidden behind strong walls, Unattainable might just steal your heart like it did mine.
Swoony Line:
“He quiets my mind.”
I received an ARC copy and wanted to leave an honest review.
When the MMC’s nickname is Prince Charming, you just know you’re in for a swoon-worthy read! Roscoe was everything—loyal, funny, and an absolute flirt. His banter with Colette? Pure perfection! Their chemistry was off the charts, and every flirty moment had me hooked.
I loved how authentic their story felt. While I’m not usually a fan of third-act breakups, I think it was necessary here for both characters to grow—though I did get frustrated when Roscoe wouldn’t let Colette explain herself. He was all in his feelings, but let’s be real…I forgave him. He is Prince Charming, after all!
The side characters in this series were fantastic, and can someone tell me how to join the Phantastic Four and Squad Ghouls group chat? Because I need more from those guys! Honestly, I could read an entire book of just their text messages. And Jace? What a character! I need him to get his own Un book ASAP!
This story also tackled some heavier issues, and while I haven’t personally experienced Alzheimer’s, I felt the book did a powerful job portraying how deeply it affects everyone involved.
Side note—I’m a huge One Tree Hill fan, so when I read this text from Jace, I knew he had my heart. If I didn’t already love him, this would have sealed the deal!
Jace: I knew it. I need details on the plane. I finished One Tree Hill, so I need some drama in my life right now.
Unattainable was my first book by KJ Mags, but it definitely won’t be my last!

I. ATE. THIS. UP. !!!!! This had me giggling & blushing like a FOOL
Roscoe — the mouth on that man??? Got me weak in the knees 😮💨🤭🤭🤭 love this goofy, easy going, flirty MMC with a soft & tender side.
Colette — so relatable. She is so confident in her work & so intelligent.
I love how these two characters balanced each other out - Roscoe brought out Colette’s wild side and Colette grounded Roscoe. Loved their relationship, it was so cute 🥰
Crossing my fingers we get a Jace book in the future
Check trigger warnings since this does get a bit heavy & dark!!

KJ Mags is a new to me author who I was lucky to meet at a convention earlier this year.
I was excited to dive into Roscoe and Collette's story. The story follows a rule follower and a rule breaker in a workplace romance themed read. The story represented multiple challenges that the MMCs faced personally that envoked many feelings - I was able to relate to Collette's mental health challenges and my heart felt deeply for Roscoe - I know how it feels to live far away from family when they need you. If you're a reader who doesn't mind some miscommunication and a third act breakup, I am confident you'll like this one. Overall this was a pretty good read, I cried, I laughed and I added Book 1 to my TBR.
I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of Unattainable and I am providing my honest review. Thank you KJ Mags for the opportunity.
Roscoe, Roscoe, Roscoe… you are most definitely Prince Charming! Roscoe had me giggling within 5 pages of the 1st chapter with his antics and flirting towards Collette, his “Princess”. I was so excited for Roscoe to get his HEA after seeing him as a side character in Unspoken. He is fiercely loyal, goofy, charming, lovable, oh and did I mention hot? His dirty talk is a home run! Collette struggles with OCD and the way Roscoe embraces this and shows her that he loves her despite her challenges is something to be admired. I think KJ did a great job bringing awareness to OCD and anxiety while showing that you can still lead a normal life while overcoming these obstacles. I enjoyed the in depth explanations of the PT side of Collette’s job with the Phantoms and feel like KJ did her research and did it well. I loved getting to “catch up” with Ford and Wren, hopefully we get to see Jace fall in love next!
She's done it again, i absolutely loved roscoe and colettes story. I was so invested and read it in one day. It was such a good, easy read. This story follows a baseball player who's trying his hardest to get the teams physiotherapist to go out with him. He's the definition of a golden retriever mmc. She acts like she's not affected by him but she's secretly really likes him. They then meet up secretly for extra physio sessions due to an injury, and it all goes from there. The way both the mmc and the fmc accept and care for one another in this book is amazing. There is fantastic OCD/ Alzheimer representation in this book. I went through so many different emotions reading this book. It takes a lot for me to cry at a book, but i couldn't hold it back when it came to roscoe. Would definitely recommend.

This is the second book of the series. And KJ did amazing with this book!! I could not put this book down! I definitely devoured this book!
We have Colette who is the team physical therapist who has been diagnosed with OCD and has to have everything in order to keep it at bay! Which she keeps it a secret. Her other secret is she has a thing for Roscoe. We have Roscoe who is the MLB pitcher who has secrets of his own. He struggles with his mom’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
The flirty banter between these two is so good! Roscoe knew from the moment he met Colette she was the one for him. He actually wore her down and once Colette gave Roscoe a chance there was no going back!
If you haven’t read this series you definitely should! You won’t regret it!
Have you ever fallen for someone but they didn’t see you that way or there were circumstances which prohibit you two getting together? That was Roscoe’s problem. He’s fallen hard for Collette but she was all business since they work together. This is an awesome book about falling for someone who is forbidden and how Roscoe eventually wears down Collette and they give into their forbidden desires.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat with wonder about what’ll happen next… another roadblock, some spicy scenes, or other drama. Check this book out, you won’t regret it!
Book two in the Un-Series, this is Roscoe and Colette’s story. Roscoe was in love with the team’s physical therapist the minute he saw her. Colette needs to keep things professional but she can’t deny the way being around Roscoe makes her feel. They both are guarded but only bring their walls down for each other. Roscoe is the king of consent and praise and had me swooning and the spice is hot! I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see whose story we get next!
This book had me hooked from the very beginning! Roscoe and Colette were an absolute amazing couple! They both faced their own trails and still ended up in a happy ever after! Colette was always there for Roscoe no matter what he was going through, even if it was at a distance she was always one call away ready to help anyway she could!
Colette: MLB physical therapist; has OCD; has a crush on the pitcher Roscoe: MLB pitcher, struggling with his mom’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis; down bad for team physical therapist
My oh my! This was so good. The flirty banter was great. Roscoe knew from the moment he met Colette she was the one for him. He actually wore her down. Once Colette gave Roscoe a chance, there was no going back.
They were each others safe place. Colette told Roscoe her struggles with OCD and he never judged her. He wanted to know more so he can be helpful when it gets bad. Roscoe telling Colette about his mom’s condition was a breakthrough. She was the first person he told. They made each other feel safe and seen.
Yes, there is a 3rd act breakup but I think it was needed. Colette was still there to support Roscoe when he lost his mom. Roscoe needed that time apart to became the man and partner that Colette needs. I loved them together.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book? A WHOLE vibe 😩 Did I have a great time reading it while aggressively kicking my feet and twirling my hair like a delulu Wattpad girly in 2013? YES 😭
The tension? Chefs kiss 🍽️🔥 The drama? Had me sitting there like 🍿 "oh, we're doing *that* now?? okay then."
It had me ✨Invested✨ in the chaos. Like--give me mess, give me spice, give me characters who should NOT be left unsupervised... and Unattainable DELIVERED.
Also, I'd like to personally thank KJ Mags for giving us a man who is both the problem and the solution. We love a walking contradiction🖤
This book gave: 👀 tension 🥵 spice 😳 decisions that made me side eye the characters 👏 a satisfying ride start to finish
This is the first book that I read by KJ Mags and I really enjoyed it. Roscoe is a MLB player that goes to physical therapy for rehab his shoulder. This is where he meets Colette, his physical therapist.
She wants them to have a strictly professional relationship, but Roscoe is relentless and it is his mission to wear Colette down.
I cannot wait to see where KJ goes with the next book in the Un-Series.
Sheeeeesh, Roscoe & Colette! 🙌🏻 I adore these characters. KJ Mags writes relatable, emotionally developed, sensible characters and storylines, that I fall in love with each time. I loved their dynamic and differences that they brought to the relationship.
"Every Prince Charming needs a Princess; mine just so happens to be unattainable."
