He saved me from the burning pyre of my late husband and in exchange I gave him a lifetime of devotion.
My marriage with my late husband could not called a marriage for several reasons. Despite managing my single life alone as the head maid of the Suryagarh's Kingdom I had been dragged and tied to a large pile of woods on which my husband's corpse was lying. When I left all the hopes of living a life and submitted myself to the large and heavy flames of fire, he came to protect me.
Out of nowhere, without any support and clue.
But, in order to save my life he had to make me his bride. He filled the partition of my hair with the warm thick blood of his, knowing he was getting married to a beautiful Princess in next six months.
I promised to forget this incidence and move on in my life. But, he was the youngest Prince of Suryagarh and living in the same Kingdom, we could not escape each other, especially the game of power, care and domination our eyes were playing. And, most importantly the pull that was taking birth between us.
Our marriage, the little, forbidden, incomplete marriage was a secret for everyone.
But, could it be a secret to my heart? Could it be a secret, forgettable thing to us? Could it be kept as a secret for the lifetime? Could I see him getting married to someone else knowing he took a oath of protecting me? Could we be able to see each other moving on forgetting what happened? Could we be able to subside the encounters future was awaiting for us?
Go through this and support her... I guarantee you, Wattpad deleted her account which had a huge amount of admirers... That's what her books did to the readers... It's infectious, contagious...one which we welcomed by our whole spirit! Her every book is amazing! Hoping for her best, to get her other books here too✨🩵
SEEING HER BOOK ON KINDLE MAKES ME FEEL SO PROUD! She’s the reason I started reading, and I couldn’t be happier that she made it here.
Oh god, the chemistry, the spice, the emotions...everything in this book is a solid 10/10! Agastya is the daddy 🤌🏼🤌🏼. Trust me, once you start reading, you won’t be able to stop!
Welcome to kindle!!!hope you post other stories here also! Love each and every one you have wrote so far! You are an amazing author and I know you are gonna be big on here!! Lots of love!
3.75 stars. Well Agastya is the only reformed manwhore I like from all the others i completed (atleast he respected, sympathised and listened to the struggles of the prostitutes he slept with before for either information on his kingdom's enemies or pleasure). The respect he had for women is the very thing that led him to save the widow FMC from the custom of forced immolations of widows.
I loveee Suman more tho, because her fears and issues were sooo damn relatable. She rose like a phoenix from it's ashes. Was an independent lady in medieval india. MMC respected that a lot about her.
-1.25 stars off as I generally don't like fckboy MLs. and MMC was soft towards all women in general, not just the FMC. which was a bummer for me
more points: - MMC celibate for 5 years before getting it on with FMC. they already knew each other for 4 years as he's Prince and she's head maid of the queen. He didn't look at her or cross any boundaries until he had to marry her to save her. - MMC fell in love with another princess first who rejected and slut shamed him. Leading him to celibacy. - pierced c0ck ring. -mutual celibacy during separation -mmc was groomed and pushed to s*x as a minor by a 30+ married woman. - FMC had fear of manwhores. (her dead ex was one) - mmc-fmc watched a show of another couple do the deed.
I remember all this from the time the full book was on Wattpad. hope the full book or atleast part 2 releases.
The release of this book is huge. Do read this book if you are interested in Indian Historical Romance. The author's books on an ebook platform was what made me fall in love with Indian culture and history. I had always wished to imagine myself as a princess and a desi one that too but there weren't many authors who would write something like that. It was rare and then M Lovely came and changed the scenario altogether. This book is more than just words. It has emotions, forbidden romance, joy in a big family, comedy, happy moments, sad scenes that'll have you bawling your eyes out, a secrecy hiding feelings which could not be expressed. It doesn't have only romance and spice, but great attention to detail of wars, politics, unspoken things and strategies. It'll make you feel like you have transported to the 17th century and living in the situation. So do make sure to read it. I'm sure the first few chapters alone will be enough to keep you hooked for the rest of the series and i guarantee that the series will get better with each book (saying from experience).
Oh and the dagger on the cover has a special significance you'll get to know in the book....
I've been reading her books for a long time, and I have to say—she never disappoints. Her historical romances are beautiful, emotional, and so easy to get lost in. The way she brings the past to life and builds such deep, romantic stories is something special.
Her historical romance isn’t just good—it’s magic. She doesn’t just write love stories, she time-travels us into them.Every time I pick up one of her books, I know I’m in for a good time. I truly admire her writing and hope she keeps going strong.
Watching her grow as an author has been such a joy, and I hope she never stops writing—because I’ll never stop reading.
Thank you M Lovely for sharing your talent with us!💌
3.5/5 I had the all three books (rudra-nandini, aishwarya, and sumanika) on wattpad before it decided to be a bitch. To all the people who love historical stories with men who were created directly with god's grace and women who could woe all the gender here on this planet. Then this author and this book is for you. I genuinely don't know if there have been any changes brought in the book since the author took down the book from Wattpad, and that is the reason the stars are less.
The buildup of the story is amazing! I absolutely loved the chemistry between the characters ... it’s just wow. The beginning was decent, but the story took a powerful turn and connected all the plot points so smoothly. I wish I could find my prince. looks like I’ve reread all your books over and over again
Beautiful heart touching love saga between a prince and his love interest with war background. Must read book who are interested in reading a deeply touching love story with high dose of romance👍👍👍👍 Give it a try!!!
I liked the idea of this book, but the reality of what it actually was, is a little disappointing.
Let me start of by saying I really do respect the author for writing this book, creating a cover and editting it all by herself. For that reason I added another star.
That being said, I did notice no one editted this book. Well of course, you might say, but I mean I REALLY noticed it. To start of, there was a lot of repitition, of words, of sentences, of things the main characters thought to things that happened. Seeing that happen once or twice may be okay, but here it started to get anoying. Furthermore, not all sentences seemed to be grammatically correct, and, mind you, English is not my first language either. If I noticed it, others would surely notice this too.
I also found the choice of words sometimes, ehh, remarkable. This might be a bit nitpicky, but for example, at one point the male lead squealed, a word I associate with young girls. Safe to say, it threw me off. And there were other instances of this, that I just thought were strange.
Now on to the plot. So, Suman the female lead has been recently widowed and now her clan is trying to burn her along with the body of her shitty husband. Thankfully, she is saved by the prince whose sister-in-law she serves. Only, to stop the villagers from attacking them, they have to marry. Well, colour me interested. Now, the two of them have to navigate through their growing attraction, their trauma's, the engagement of the prince to another princess, and a coming war. Not to add that they also belong to different classes and castes. To be fair, the author did really try to put all of this in there, but it only worked out half of the time. The chapters were simply too choppy and it was just a little bit much even without the war. I think the war was added to create a bit more excitement, but frankly, it would have been unnecessay if the author had just leaned in to what was already there. Their relationship was forbidden for so many reasons, but the only way we really notice this was by her saying, 'Wait, stop, someone will see' and 'I am just a maid, and you are a prince, we don't belong together'. It didn't feel like the stakes were high at all, but it should have felt that way. Near the end, all of this came to a head, but not for the reason you think. I won't spoil anything, but you might be surprised (and perhaps not for the right reasons).
Now, I did really like the setting of the story and I do want to read more books set somewhere in India before colonized rule. It was really interesting, but I would have liked a glossary. It took me quite some time to figure out what all of the titles meant. Also, I did appreciate the authors idea to sometimes write sentences in, what I assume is, Hindi. It brought some life to the story. However, (yes, I'm sorry there is a however) why did those sentences become longer and longer? Short sentences and words in Hindi would have been fine, but what was the point of those longer sentences, sometimes even multiple long sentences? If you dont speak Hindi you just skip those and go straight to the translation, but if you do speak Hindi, you have to skip the whole translation. In both cases you need to search for when the translation/original part ends. And that is again annoying.
Well, that was it from me. As usual, if you want to read this, please do, your opinion might differ from mine.
Obviously 5 stars because I love Suman, Agastya, and this story, they completely have my heart! That said, I do have a few criticisms that I hope will be taken constructively:
I assumed that since this is now officially published, the grammatical errors would be corrected. Unfortunately, that's not the case — there are still several silly mistakes that could’ve easily been edited out.
The first scene (which is different from the Wattpad version) felt unnecessarily stretched. The book really needs editing — there’s a lot of repetition, with characters saying essentially the same thing over and over again. It affects the flow.
At first, all the Hindi dialogues were highlighted, which I appreciated , but somewhere in the middle, that consistency just disappears.
Personally, I don’t think it needed to be split into two parts. One well-edited and streamlined book would have worked much better.
Still, I adore the characters and their journey. Just hoping for tighter editing in the future, because this story truly deserves it!
