Under a sunny southern California sky, Colt envisioned himself representing the most prestigious athletes in the world, making a handsome income, and living out the rest of his days in his own self-made paradise. While attending a major university with his best friend Alden, those plans of becoming a sports agent suddenly became tested in a very real way. With only a year out from graduating, Alden unexpectedly relays profound information that could be utterly life changing for both young men.
After then learning of a secret meeting the subsequent morning, Colt reluctantly joins Alden in a rendezvous with another young man who reveals an absolutely incredible offer for the friends to ponder. It is this ‘fork in the road’ that invites them to delve into an underground world of violence and large sums of cash. Being cautiously decisive, a pact between the three men is then eventually forged while conversing near the sun-splashed Pacific.
This powerful agreement takes Colt and Alden on a life-altering journey that they never imagined possible! However, despite the vast riches that were dangled in front of them by the clandestine man, the psychological toll is nearly insurmountable and the risks that are eventually taken, yield surprises that even Colt never anticipated. Will the choices made that fateful day prove to be rewarding overall, or will that decision prove to be his biggest regret?

Ben Abix is always interested in writing hard hitting dialogue with well developed characters that can drive the story. "If I'm capable of putting you in a different place and in a characters mind that you never seemed possible, I've done my job. It's all about transporting the reader to a different mental space altogether; whether they're with a tablet in front of the ocean, or laying by a pool somewhere with a paperback."

Ben Abix is the author of two new thrillers novels released simultaneously in August of 2014 entitled Framer and Tropical Trauma. While both books are not part of a series, Ben aims to take the reader on worldly adventures filled with suspense and intrigue. Additionally, his colorful characters are an intricate tapestry of the human condition whether good or bad. His books combine a fine mixture of mystery, murder, edgy conversation, and generous doses of humor. He is a fiction author and novelist writing in the thrillers and mystery genres.

I’m an absolute fan of edgy thriller movies like Runner Runner, Two For the Money, etc. So when I read the description for Framer I knew I’d have to give this one a try. From the get-go it was easy to understand the characters, especially Colt who I could identify with as the young dreamer with big plans for himself. And when him and his friend Alden receive an offer that they can’t refuse, their roller coaster of an adventure begins.

The dialogue is excellent and the characters are very well developed and although a fiction novel, it was extremely realistic. This was definitely one of those books that I couldn’t put down so even though it is 547 pages I read it fairly quickly! Dramatic, suspenseful, and creatively told – Framer is an exciting and edgy fast-paced read that I highly recommend.

Can’t wait to check out Tropical Trauma which is already on my To-Reads.

Cool concept and intriguing storyline, but the editing kept taking me out of the story. There was some missing punctuation and extra punctuation, both of which made the dialogue awkward at times.

Terrific story couldn't put it down will definitely look for more by this author can recommend plenty of action adventure
