Hawk's Woman

Rate this book
Nikki didn’t want to be at the stupid Devil’s Beasts MC clubhouse. Growing up with a mother who had a revolving door of men or clients, she wasn’t into the party mood. However, she was not going to let her best friend down. She was there in case her friend needed a ride. That was the day she met him.

Hawk loved women. He enjoyed many a variety and was not the settling down type. When a young brunette walked into his domain, he knew he should have steered clear. He couldn’t get her out of his head. She was not like any other woman.

Nikki didn’t try to flirt with him, or gain his attention. She treated him like a man, or at times, like a pain in the ass. It was refreshing. An odd kind of friendship was born.

Hawk wanted to be there for her. He wanted to turn her bad luck around.

For Nikki, she was falling for him, although she had promised to never fall for any man. One kiss led into another, and one moment she was a virgin, the next, she wasn’t. A secret affair began. There were rules. She was not allowed to go near the club. No one was to know they were together. It was their little secret.

But then the letters started. Someone was out to hurt Nikki. Was it a joke? Was it serious? Was it a mistake?

Then the truth comes out. She didn’t earn her place, Hawk manipulated everything. He was embarrassed by her. Will Hawk be able to figure out who is threatening his woman before it’s too late? Will he be able to earn back her forgiveness?

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

2.5 Biker matinee ⭐️⭐️

This biker world is written entirely through the female gaze, and somehow it turns a lifestyle built on crime, violence and promiscuity into something almost… adorable. 😂 It felt completely Disneyfied. There was an implied edge, but I didn’t experience it.

Did I have fun? yes, at times I absolutely did. But the characters were two dimensional, and the whole thing played out more like a glossy biker fantasy than an actual MC world.

Now, I’m not an MC romance fan in general, so that absolutely influences this review.

Did I watch Sons of Anarchy? Yes.
Does that lifestyle remotely appeal to me? Absolutely not. I would rather touch grass. But then there’s Charlie Hunnam… unfortunately for me, that man single handedly convinced me to pick this up.

Nikki, 22, is the sweet, innocent and abandoned FMC trying to survive life on her own. When her friend drags her to an MC clubhouse party, she meets Hawk, 40, for the first time.

Hawk becomes intrigued by Nikki and tracks her down outside the club. They quickly fall into a relationship, but from the very beginning he keeps her hidden, refusing to let people know she exists.

This worked, and I thought we were raising the emotional stakes! But I was wrong.

One night Nikki overhears a woman from the clubhouse talking about sleeping with Hawk… on the very same night Nikki had been sitting around waiting for him while he showed up hours late. 😬

We get a decent sense of Nikki and her reflections, but Hawk remains painfully surface level the entire book. And this is in DUAL POV. 😂
How do you have dual POV and still know nothing about the MMC?

There was no growing obsession, no mounting tension, no emotional payoff. 🖤

With an 18-year age gap, there’s a very fine line between writing an older, experienced man who isn’t a creep when he is attracted to a “post teen” (new word.)
So Hawk didn’t feel 40, he felt like a 22-year-old cosplaying adulthood. So why even have an age gap?

Should you read it? Meh.

Chance of divorce? 95%.
They barely communicate, and honestly, I hope Nikki eventually outgrows him.

Also, if anyone has an MC romance they genuinely love, please let me know, because otherwise I may need to accept this genre simply isn’t for me.

My rating: 3 stars

What I loved: I liked how Nikki’s(h) mom turned herself around and became a better person. I liked how Hawk(H) realized that he was in love with Nikki and tried making things right. I’m glad the crazy wannabe ow got what she deserved. I really liked the ending and how Nikki’s mom was included in the club.

What I didn’t like: I didn’t like how it had some repetition that made the story choppy for me. Having the characters repeat some of the things got to be annoying.

***Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: MC, H keeps the h a secret, crazy wannabe ow. H meets the h when she comes to a party at the MC. She is there to give her friend a ride. When she goes to a room that is a library she meets the H. The H is the president of the MC. He likes that the h isn’t there to get with a brother. The h is refreshing to the H and decides to find out who she is. He goes to her job and tells her to meet him at the bar on Friday and if she doesn’t show he will just have to come find her. h doesn’t show so the H goes to her. H starts coming over and the H realizes that the h had been struggling. Her so call friend just uses her, her upbringing was horrible, her car is on its last leg and her job is closing. H goes about making her life easier and along the way they start a sexual relationship with rules. H doesn’t want anyone at the club to know he is with the h. She is not to talk about him and she is to meet him at the motel when he calls for her. H gets the h a job at a salon, not telling her that he owns it. He makes her think she gets it herself. He also pays for her to go to college to get her license, making it seem that the salon is paying for it. H also threatens the so called friend, telling her to pay the h back and to leave town. h starts to fall for the H. When the H doesn’t show up until late she starts to have some doubts, knowing she loves the H but doesn’t think he feels the same. When she hears the club women at the salon talk about how the H spent the night with a club woman and she could barely walk the next couple of days, she realizes she was right about the H being embarrassed of her and he was just with her for a good time. The salon owner who has since became her friend tells her that the H is the one who got her the job and men like the H don’t settle down. h upsets, tells the friend she quits and goes to her mom’s house since she knows that the H will look for her at her place. h is surprised to see that her mom is actually doing good. Her place is clean and her mom is now going to church and working. She is no longer doing drugs. The mom asks the h for forgiveness and the h decides to stay with her mom. H goes to see the h and tells her he didn’t cheat, that he made it look like they had sex but didn’t. H tells the h that he never lied to her but she tells him that she knows about the salon and him paying for college. H tells her he just wanted to help her out. h tells him that she know he is embarrassed to be seen with her. H is surprised by that because he just wanted her all to himself and tells her he is not embarrassed of her. h tells him to leave and he does but tells her they aren’t over. h gets a new job but after awhile her mom, the salon owner and the H talk her into going back to work at the salon. When the h goes to her trailer to pack her things she finds the so called friend dead. She calls the H and he takes care of everything. H and h start to work things out. H looks into the death of the friend and believes it is one of the woman from the club. Unfortunately, he is wrong of which one it is and we find out it’s the one that was close to his father and mother. We find out that she killed the H’s parents, had a MC brother wrongfully killed and killed the so called friend. The evil ow goes to the h’s house and tries killing the h and the mom but the mom saves her right before the H and his brother come to the rescue. HEA with a glimpse of them 10 years later with them married, a pregnant h with 4 kids and the h’s mom with them at the club.

Final thoughts: This was just ok for me. I would definitely read Darlene’s book if she gets one.

3.5 stars. Not bad. You roll a dice when you purchase a Sam Crescent book. They're not cheap, so I'm always hoping I get it right. What Sam get's right for me is her asshole MC heroes. I prefer them that way, but there's always a bit of grovel in the end, but it's not overkill which I prefer as they're supposed to be hardcore. Her heroes are usually bossy and leave no room for argument so if that's not your thing then you may not like her books. Hawk acted exactly like I prefer. The h took some time to warm up to though. As of recently I'm not really feeling the age gap trope, and it's pretty big here. With the H being 40 and the h Nikki 23. So that's probably why I didn't give it over 3.5 stars. And she's a virgin as well 🙄. I think the best thing about this book was Nikki's mom. She completely changed her life around after a near death experience and knew what a horrible mother she had been to Nikki. Most of the time the mom just stays evil in these books, so it was a nice surprise. She ended up saving Nikki's life as well. Not Hawk. As far as the romance went it was good. Not too insta with Hawk fighting how he felt because he was a hardcore MC man. The villain of the story was predicable and I knew exactly who it was, but I wasn't expecting her to have killed all those people. One of which had a very painful and traumatic death dealt by the club because of Sandy's lies. Greg should seriously come back as a ghost and torment everyone. I know I would 😂. Overall I liked it for what it was.

Loved This Book

Hawk was the President of the Devil’s Beast MC and never looked to settle down…that is until Nikki walked into to his world. What made her different was that when she took her friend to the clubhouse Nikki showed indifference to the club. She wasn’t looking to hook up or become an old lady which was something Hawk hadn’t dealt with before.

This story was a big page turner with everything I love in my MC romances from the secrets, twists and turns and plenty of steam.

Hawk and Nikki

Nikki has been through the ringer as a child. Even her friend uses her. Hawk starts out thinking he is using her except he loves her. There is some danger lurking but in the end they got what they deserved.

Putting on her game face

This book was a fantastic read! I loved the unexpected connection that opened up an entire new world to Niki. The author filled the pages with beginnings and endings, some unexpected reunions and a plot twist that no one saw coming. There were steamy scenes, feel good moments, and heartache that made me want to weep. But not to fear, this alpha male gets his act together and ends up with the HEA of his dreams. I know this book will be one I visit again and again, and I can’t wait!

Nikki (22), the daughter of a prostitute in a small town, has been ostracized her entire life. She dreams of attending beauty school but can’t afford it, working instead at a grocery store, the only place that will hire her.

One night, she goes to a bar owned by an MC as a designated driver for her friend Diana. There, she meets Hawk (40), the club’s president. She’s uninterested in club members because of her mother’s history with men. But Hawk later gets her contact info from Diana, and they begin spending time together. Hawk secretly helps her get a job at a salon and enroll in beauty school, though Nikki doesn’t know of his involvement.

As Nikki builds a new life, Diana is still trying to become a club girl, leading to a falling out between them.

Eventually, Nikki and Hawk sleep together, and he establishes strict rules: their relationship must remain secret, and she must be available whenever he calls. She agrees, even as threatening notes, like “Hawk is mine,” start appearing. Nikki assumes Diana is behind them.

Nikki falls in love, though she knows Hawk isn’t looking for anything serious. One night, he arrives late to meet her, and later she hears gossip at the salon that he was with another woman, Trixie. Soon after, Nikki learns Hawk owns the salon and arranged her opportunities. Feeling betrayed, she quits and leaves, goes to her mother’s house and finds her mother a changed woman. They have an emotional reunion.

Hawk tries to explain, he only pretended to be with Trixie to help keep his relationship with Nikki a secret, but Nikki ends things, unwilling to accept a relationship built on deception. He later encourages her to return to school, and she eventually does.

While staying with her mother, Nikki returns to her trailer and finds Diana dead with a note: “You’re next.” Distrusting the police, she calls Hawk, who tells her to stay at her mother’s and not return to the trailer.

Darlene, the boss at the salon, invites Nikki to a club Halloween party. Nikki agrees. She and Hawk reconnect, and he admits he wants a real future with her.

Investigating Diana’s death, Hawk learns she was poisoned and suspects a woman in the club. He initially blames Melanie, a woman used as an enforcer any time they need to beat up a woman. But she reveals another club girl, Sandy, had access to an MC credit card to buy supplies, like rat poison.

Meanwhile, Nikki is lured home by a text from her mother. She finds Sandy waiting with a gun. Sandy confesses that she’s obsessed with Hawk and orchestrated everything. She killed Diana, poisoned Hawk’s mother years earlier, and even murdered Hawk’s father to manipulate her way into his life.

Nikki’s mother, who was pretending to be unconscious, attacks Sandy. Sandy shoots Nikki, but not fatally. Hawk arrives, takes Sandy away to the murder basement, and Nikki is rushed to the hospital. Believing she might die, Nikki finally tells Hawk she loves him.

An epilogue follows ten years later.

Summary: Motorcycle club, age gap romance. Written in the 3rd person. Spoilers/trigger warnings (if any) and final thoughts can be found below.

This story follows Nikki and Hawk. He is the president of a local MC and she accompanies her friend to a party one night. This is totally not her scene and she’s there only to drive her friend so she sneaks away to another room and runs into the MMC. They exchange some words before she leaves which has him feeling intrigued about who she is. He finds out where she works and lives. They begin hanging out just for fun before it turns into something else. He tells her she has to keep everything a secret and can never come to the clubhouse. She doesn’t question this too much because honestly, she is just happy to have the time with him.

The FMC has not had an easy upbringing and her mom’s reputation in town made it difficult to do basic things like go to school or get a job, so going along with what Hawk wants is fine with her. One day she comes out to her car and finds a note with a threatening undertone, but chooses to not tell Hawk about it.

One day while at work some of the club women come in and start gossiping and mention one slept with Hawk and the FMC is devastated. This was not truth but the damage is done. The only positive about this alleged betrayal was giving the FMC the chance to reconcile with her mom, who has completely turned her life around.

Hawk is absolutely lost without the FMC and works to regain her trust with total honesty while they continue to deal with this unknown threat, who has definitely upped the ante. All comes to a head in a twist I didn’t see coming and the couple ends up with their HEA.

⚠️SPOILERS/DETAILED TRIGGERS⚠️

*Some MC violence on page.
*Not gonna lie, the twist was a good one I didn’t see coming. The same person threatening the FMC had unalived all these people. I was shook.
🌶️: 4/5: The FMC had not had a first anything before the MMC. Once those happen, it’s pretty much all the time.

Final thoughts: This book was okay. It’s written in classic Sam Crescent style which I have found to be hit or miss for me. I read this because I wanted a book where the FMC is kept a secret perhaps because the MMC is involved with someone else, because that adds so much angst and drama, although that wasn’t the case here.

And it pains me to say this but I really didn’t understand the amount of spice in the book. It was just too much and it felt like it was more to fill the pages than be a part of the story that just worked. It just didn’t fit well for me.

The twist of who done it changed my perspective quite a bit with the book and at the end of the day, I could say I had mixed feelings but still finished the damn thing in a day lol. So there’s that.

Hawk's Woman - Sam Crescent

Nikki Brown was not a party girl, she didn't want to be at the clubhouse of the Devil's Beasts MC but when her friend Diana asked her to go with her she couldn't say no. After a traumatic childhood Nikki was not into drinking, drugs and loosing herself with random men so she didn't feel she fit in. When Hawk the Prez of the Devil's Beasts MC came across Nikki he thought she was just like all the other women that came to the club but the twenty two year old beauty surprised him no end with her lack of interest in him, his patch and the club. She was different, intrigued him. They had a connection but Hawk didn't think it would last, he made some bad decisions trying to keep his relationship a secret and Nikki misunderstood his need for secrecy as embarrassment of her and them. Along with the misunderstandings someone is out to take Nikki away from Hawk and he has to figure out who it is before it's all too late. Nikki and her mother have a fractured relationship because of her upbringing which was interesting to read and see how their relationship progressed. I enjoyed the friendship between Nikki and Darlene also, she was a very strong female character. This was a well written story with some good twists along the way, lots of heat and good strong characters. I am curious if it will be turned into a series for the other characters, such as Dan and Ropes to get their stories told. This story focuses more on the story of the couple than the MC workings. A thoroughly enjoyable read you must give a chance to. Happy Reading.
Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given.
5 out of 5 stars.

Nikki Brown accompanies her friend, Diana, to the Devil’s Beasts MC clubhouse because Diana has a fantasy of becoming one of the guy’s ’old lady’ and not having to work anymore. By the end of the first chapter, I was ready to give Diana a slap for how she just left Nikki there alone, all of the time. That is now how you treat your friends. As time goes on in the book, I realized I was right. Nikki’s past was horrifying and it made me cry. The fact that she is so different from her mom and no one in the town can realize that? Is just so wrong. People need to stop being jerks. Nikki hates violence and this MC does that for fun. She tries to hide in another section of the HQ and finds the library and Hawk. After they talk, Nikki leaves but, Hawk is fascinated by her and her honesty. So, he talks to Diana and gets info about Nikki. Things go to heck after that as Nikki is mad and the MC are not made up of nice guys. Not to say Hawk can’t be nice, he just doesn’t brook certain things. Nikki & Hawk’s interactions make me laugh at first, and there is mega heat between them. The book is fascinating and I really enjoyed it. Hawk is both romantic and terrifying in turns. But, I can see his point of view. The ending shocked the living heck out of me. When Nikki finally admits her feelings I sqeeed and laughed. The book was really good and there are parts that are a bit scary. There is death in this book and a few triggers.

Get comfortable you won’t be putting this down until the last page has been turned. Nikki just wants to live a simple life after a traumatic childhood she refused to live the way she grew up with the presence of alcohol, drinking, drugs, or random men, she didn’t want to go to the clubhouse of the Devil’s Beasts MC but being a good friend she refused to allow her to go alone and so she finds herself sitting in the MC club totally not enjoying herself. Hawk sexy as a get out Prez of the Devil’s Beasts MC saw a new cutie at the club assuming she was like all the others but surprised when she showed no interest in him or anything pertaining to him or his club, she was different which intrigued him, drew him to her and of course he had to purse her. The magnetic pull between them is something neither of them could ignore so they started a relationship or so she thought until a misunderstanding on his part Hawk didn’t think what they had would last so he made the decision to keep what they had to himself a secret more or less and she thought he was embarrassed to be with her to tell the world they are together which fractured what they had add to that someone is out to take her from him but will he fix the mess he started, will her mother fix their relationship, will the truths that come out set them free as they say, and will they find happiness somewhere along the way?

She goes to the club with her friend just to act as her DD, she has no interest in partying with bikers so when she sees the opportunity to sneak away, she does. When she stumbles across him in the library, she is startled. He is the president of the club. He was born and raised in it. But he is tired of all of the parties so he makes an appearance and then sneaks away to his library. When she stumbles in, he is intrigued she isn’t anything like the girls that are normally there. He is fascinated by her and her innocence and goes out of his way to find her. He starts pursuing her, but he wants to keep her separate from the club. She doesn’t mind not going to the club as it all intimidates her. But when her friend plant it in her mind, it’s because he’s embarrassed to be seen with her, it changes her mind. This one is probably like a 3.8 for me. There were a lot of aspects that I really enjoyed. Both of the characters were good including their own personal conflicts. Their story was well told but at times it didn’t flow naturally, and some of it was a little clunky. When it was flowing, it was really flowing and the story unfolded seamlessly. Their relationship was hot and spicy, but it was also tender and sweet. The epilogue at the end was everything for them.

Hawk’s Woman by Sam Crescent is a steamy, forbidden romance that mixes small-town charm with dark secrets and heart-pounding suspense. When Nikki, a no-nonsense woman who’s always avoided the party scene, finds herself at the Devil’s Beasts MC clubhouse to help a friend, she unexpectedly crosses paths with Hawk—a charismatic, womanizing biker who’s never planned on settling down. Despite her cool demeanor and refusal to flirt, an odd friendship quickly forms between them, evolving into a secret, passionate affair.

As their clandestine romance deepens, Nikki finds herself falling hard for a man she never thought she’d love, while Hawk becomes determined to turn her bad luck around. But when threatening letters start to surface, hinting that someone is out to hurt Nikki, the fragile trust between them is shattered. The truth is even more painful: Hawk manipulated events to secure her place by his side, leaving Nikki questioning if she truly earned his love.

Caught between desire and betrayal, Nikki must decide if she can forgive Hawk’s past missteps, while Hawk races against time to protect the woman who means everything to him. Hawk’s Woman is a riveting tale of passion, vulnerability, and redemption—a story where trust is hard to earn and love is worth fighting for.

What...? Dude! You were ALWAYS saying how It was "Over" when you said it was over (Air quotes here!) You had 'Temporary' with Niki right at the Get-Go!
All throughout the ?? whatever??THIS is between you and Nikki
Whew! I had to pause in my reading.... and rant a little! 'cause Hawk was definitely ticking me off.... (and LoL 🤣 I also came to read 🧐the full Synopsis on this 📚 ) so I popped on over here to Goodreads and did so. Now that I see👀 the Whole picture 🖼️ I'm going to push 🫸 on through and continue reading...."Hawk you better shape🫠 the 'Heck -A-Roon'ny Up!"🫪 🧐 I'll also be back with my scoop on Nikki...

Nikki(🐑 )is exactly 💯 too trusting of the wrong Peeps. And easily walked on. She wasn't 'too stupid! to Live' material, but...eh😑, she could have been a little more fierce....
And then the story falls flat. Going nowhere....
And I started thinking that Sam lost inspiration and just started putting anything on the 📄📃 ✍️📜🗞️✍️ until she got to the end of her Word count or Chapters she had to turn in to her Editor.
Will I read this again? Naw...👎it's a C- for me.

Nikki was just trying to better herself. Being her friend Diana’s ride to the Devil’s Beasts club is not her cup of tea. Diana wants to be an old lady and these guys don’t have an interest in that. When she stumbles upon Hawk the Prez of the MCs, she is tongue tied. Hawk didn’t know what to make of Nikki. She stood up for herself and pushed her way through to make it. Something about her kept drawing him in. He wanted her to have everything she deserved. You would think these two are an unlikely pair. Nikki didn’t wilt under Hawk. She pushed back. Hawk coming to see her almost every night was just odd to her. But as they talked and got to know one another things just, happened. Her “friend” Diana was a piece of work, a user. Melanie is almost like a female Enforcer. Never get her mad. I knew once things came to light it would all start to fall apart for these two. I was shocked to read about Nikki’s mom. That one I didn’t see coming. And I had a feeling about Sandy but to that extent, nope. Hawk really learned that he needed to feel and accept. Darlene was no nonsense and thank goodness for her. This one you have to keep on your toes, it isn’t all cut and dry.

It was a little boring for me, I kept looking for distractions and putting down the book because it wasn’t engaging, I struggled a little to get through it. The FMC Nikki grew up with a drug addict mother who didn’t care that she was labeled the town whore because she went after married men. Halfway through the book she went to visit her mom after not seeing her for a long time and was surprised to see that she turned her life around. After overdosing, dying and then resuscitated, she knew she wanted to live and be a better mom to Nikki. She adopted a canine companion, was helped by a priest and the church, she volunteers and became a member of the church and they also helped her get a job. I think that was the best part of the book for me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Both of the MC were ok. The MMC was lost in emotions, he wanted her but then told himself he just wanted to fuck her for awhile but then he couldn’t let her go and then he kept thinking maybe he should let her go. He couldn’t make up his melons.

Nikki did not have the best upbringing, her mother hooked up with several married men in town. When she was finally able to she moved out on her own. Nikki does not like being at Devil’s Beasts MC clubhouse but her friend talked her into going with her. That was the day she wandered down the hall, and met him. Hawk was intrigued by her, she did not seem to be interested due to who he was, she seemed not interested at all.

He could not get her out of his mind, they kind of started a friendship but it does blossom into something more. Hawk thinks he will eventually get her out of his system but the more he is with her the harder it is to think that.

Someone is leaving Nikki threatening notes, but when her friend ends up not breathing, she realizes it might be serious. Hawk and his crew are going to have to work fast.

This was such a great story. Engaging. Steamy. Filled with action and twists. Definitely a page turner for me. Hawk is the Prez of the Devil's Beasts MC and Nikki a fairly innocent gal that wasn't interested in men or the MC life. Ha! This was quite the draw for Hawk and he set out to learn more about her. They became friends, at first, but he did set things up to help her out, on the sly. Of course, you know his secret deeds will come out and that brings the drama like crazy. However, with people like Darlene in her corner, and getting rid of not-friends like Diana, Hawk has a chance to make amends. This had intense moments alternated with sweet ones and the twists kept me on my toes. I really enjoyed how this one unfolded, chaos and all, and hope we get more books with the other MC members ;D

I was absolutely amazed by
Hawk. Oh, Hawk. Sweetie, hotness only gets you so far. Why Nikki didn’t throw you out on your arse sooner, I don’t know. But you are hot, and she was in love, so we’ll give her a pass.
Hawk had that delicious, growly Alpha Male thing going on, too.

This is a bit of a longer read than some of the more recent stories by Sam Crescent at approx 242 pages, so that was nice.

It was an enjoyable story, we have Hawk, the Prez of the Devil's Beast MC who becomes intrigued by Nikki an innocent woman, tarnished by the reputation of her mother and just trying to get by. Nikki gets dragged into Hawk's orbit by a friend (who may not be quite the friend afterall) and while she tries to resist him, Hawk can be pretty convincing.

There is spice, secrets, drama, danger, twists, redemption of relationships new and old. I really liked the story arch with Nikki's Mother, it started off pretty "typical" but ended up quite unique.

It introduces some other characters I would love to see get their own stories in the future.

He is not what she expected but ends up being what she needs

Hawk's Woman is an interesting story about Nikki and Hawk. He is the President of the Devil's Beast MC, which is a not so decent club. She is sweet, nice and trying to live her life the best she is able to, which is very different from her mother and the way she was brought up. When Nikki's friend Diana brings her to the MC clubhouse Nikki is not into what they are about. So as Diana is on a mission Nikki ends up exploring the clubhouse and comes up the library and that brings her to Hawk. As they talk Hawk is taken by her but she is not really interested. Hawk ends up getting Nikki's information from Diana. But things don't go well when he tries to meet her again....eventually though things progress and she will become Hawk's woman as he is never going to let her go.

Nikki (FMC) wants no part of MC life. With a mother who had a reputation, all she wants to do is stay out of trouble and away from men. She ends up at an MC party as a designated river for her bestie and runs into MC President Hawk (MMC). She's not impressed and that intrigues him. He seeks her out and they start a secret romance. I appreciated that Hawk was straight up about what he wanted, but that doesn't make him any less of an idiot for not realizing his feelings changed. I have so much respect for Nikki. Life handed her a crappy hand but she kept going. She also had the self-respect to walk when Hawk's poor treatment (and judgment) came to light. Add in a redemption story and a few plot twists that I didn't see coming and you get a gripping story about a heroine who deserves her HEA and the man who finally got his head on right to fight for her. LOVED!

Hawk and Nikki

Hawk the President of the Devil’s Beasts MC loved women and would never commit to one!

Nikki was a challenge, in the wrong place at the right time, the right time for his interest to grow.

He set the trap, lured her in and then everything went wrong when she found out. Now the one woman he couldn’t let go, didn’t want to know him. He’d never had to work for a woman before, but now he had to learn.

An emotional roller coaster of a read which will take you on a hi and low as you read Nikki and Hawks love story with some added action, twists, steam, lots of drama and so much more!.

What a wild ride! I have read other novels by this author and enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. I was excited to jump into this novel, and was not let down. This novel pulled me in and held on tight from the first chapter. My heart hurt for Nikki and how hard her childhood was with her disinterested mother. I really enjoyed Nikki and Hawk's story. Their chemistry was so good! I loved how Nikki was not interested in the party girl lifestyle and Hawk didn't know what to expect from her. This novel kept me on the edge of my seat while reading and guessing what was coming next. I loved watching them lower their defenses and fall in love. So good! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. So good!

This was a surprise (or not because I’m a huge fan of this authors work)!

This book is it worth to be called a true page turner. It’s full of twists and turns, it’s captivating, dramatic, full of action, steam, drama, betrayal, lies, truths, redemption, chaos, friendship and love.

Hawk and Nikki are just right for each other, even they don’t look like it in the first glance.

I absolutely enjoyed how this story played out and I couldn’t lay it down til I knew how all comes together.

The characters and world of this book would make an amazing series and I would inhale stories about all the other MC members.
