John Blakely dreams of reporting the big story, but when he finally gets the assignment to find out why people have gone missing, it hits a little too close to home. He soon discovers the dangers of this new world while trying to figure out what happened. His ensuing journey leads him to faith and, ultimately, the family he always dreamed of.
Interesting concept. Short - 119 pages. Easy read. I cannot put my finger on it, but I found the author's style/voice to be amateurish or maybe it was the way Christians are portrayed that seemed fake. I don't know why I didn't love it and I cannot back up this with any examples. The focus was on the characters and their interaction more than what was going on in the world. And it seemed to end too soon and unfinished.
