In Missing Guests and Deadly Requests, A.R. Winters invites readers back into the delightfully quirky world of Tiffany Black and Rosie with a fresh mystery that balances charm, wit, and suspense with impressive finesse. Set in the deceptively quaint town of Duck’s Head, Maryland, the book quickly turns from vacation vibes to high-stakes investigation when guests at a cozy bed-and-breakfast start disappearing—and no one wants to talk about it.

The opening chapter sets the tone perfectly: Tiffany and Rosie, our clever amateur sleuths, arrive expecting scenic waterfront views and crab shacks, only to find themselves at the Seaside Slumbers Bed and Breakfast, a peculiar place complete with bizarre themed cabanas (including one styled after a mammoth-bone hut). The atmosphere, equal parts cozy and strange, crackles with suspicion from the moment their hosts avoid simple questions and the front desk phone rings unanswered.

What makes Winters’ storytelling so compelling is her ability to blend cozy mystery charm with genuine suspense. Tiffany, a former private eye, brings sharp instincts and dry humor to the case, while Rosie’s curiosity and wit make her the perfect partner in crime-solving. Their banter is breezy, their friendship endearing, and their investigative chemistry is a major highlight throughout the book.

The mystery unfolds with increasing intrigue. A missing guest, overheard conversations hinting at a cover-up, and a local tourism board that seems a little too involved all add to the sense of something bubbling just beneath the sleepy town’s surface. Winters paces the suspense well, dropping red herrings and subtle clues with a light hand while keeping the tone cozy and entertaining.

The cast of characters—from the polished but anxious B&B owners Avi and Gin, to the cryptic woman in the bubblegum pink pantsuit—adds depth and color to the setting. The town itself is vividly drawn, from the misty marinas to the secretive back paths, giving readers the feeling they’re walking through Duck’s Head alongside Tiffany and Rosie, uncovering secrets behind every quaint facade.

The mystery ultimately connects a string of disappearances to something much darker, and while the stakes are serious, Winters never lets the tone veer too far into bleak territory. Instead, she cleverly anchors the suspense with humor, heart, and just the right dose of lighthearted irreverence.

Fans of the Tiffany Black Mysteries will be pleased to see the return of familiar faces like Stone and Nanna, who bring their own unique flair to the case. And for newcomers, the novel is easy to jump into without feeling lost—though once you start, you’ll likely want to go back and binge the rest of the series.

With its breezy pace, clever dialogue, and escalating mystery, Missing Guests and Deadly Requests is a delightful addition to the cozy mystery genre. A.R. Winters continues to prove her knack for crafting suspenseful but comforting mysteries that feel like a warm (and slightly suspicious) hug. If you enjoy sleuthing with a side of snark and seaside secrets, this is your next perfect read.

Disappearing Guests . . .

Tiffany Black and Rosie needed a break and headed for a B&B in Ducks Head where they settled in to a less elaborate cabana, more like a suite, that seemed comfortable. But when Tiffany decided to take a shower, there was no soap. She called the front desk but no one answered. Even though she was now in her robe and slippers, she decided to walk to the main house to ask for the soap. She didn’t see anyone there, but followed the sound of voices. Being a long-time private investigator, she moved quietly and stopped when she heard someone say the press would find out about the missing people soon enough… uh what missing people? Apparently something has been happening all over town as well, but the B&B doesn’t want clients scared away when they learn about the kidnappings. Tiffany backtracked to hide outside and listened as the three people came out as well. She hurried back and asked Rosie to help her find soap… in the mammoth hut they had been hussled past earlier on the way to their cabana, the one Avi seemed reluctant to talk about. Rosie was delighted… she didn’t want to worry that their investigation skills would get rusty. In one second, Tiffany had picked the lock. A half-eaten dinner sat on the table, the TV on, a cookie with a bite missing, and flat soda. This is what had been meant by “guests disappearing”. Clothing still hung in the closet. Finding an uneaten chocolate macadamia nut cookie convinced them the occupants were kidnapped because no one would abandon that cookie.

However, when a body is found, they need to take this seriously and find the killer. Things get more and more complicated when a diabetic goes missing with his insulin left behind. Now the clock is definitely ticking! With help from boyfriend Stone and Nanna, can they figure this out before more people die? Will they find out what is really going on? (Note: I live in Delaware, so if you don’t hear from me by the next review, please send Tiffany to rescue me! Those ghosts may just be real!)

I enjoyed this book. It did take me a little while to get into this book because I didn't really understand what they were talking about at first but I soon got my head ahead the fact there was two different situations going on. I just admit The author had me using Google to look up a few things that I had never heard of. The cases are very much connected and with so much going on, it is all weaved into an unusual and entertaining story. I had no clue who was behind either the disappearances of the murder until Tiffany explained it all, then it made perfect sense and I have no idea why I didn't jump to that conclusion. I like the four main characters, although I didn't think Nanna was quite up to her normal mischief making. Still a fun series and at book 24 that is an achievement.
Tiffany and Rosie get sent to Delaware to scope out the local attractions but instead get caught up in another mystery. Guests at the B&B they are staying at have gone missing and word is quickly spreading. A video of ghosts walking in the local woods also has visitor arriving but are the two connected? A chance meeting with the father of one of the missing has Tiffany and Rosie being hired to find the young man. Clues lead them to the ghost sightings and a dead body. With time for the young man running out Tiffany and Rosie are joined by Stone and Nanna. Can they ignore all the strangeness in the town and piece together what is really going on?

A vacation gone deadly indeed . When the two of the visit a B&B in Duck’s Head things come to a head. People keep disappearing, are they dead. This of course fills Tiffany and her friend Rosie with dread. Nanna’s in town. Course she is! And her boyfriend Stone ,now this she will not moan about . Tiffany Black’s Nanna she gets about so why is she here in their whereabouts? It soon becomes clear why people disappear and oh dear the bodies are piling high and still no clue as to why. Started off by a body turning up as a local vanishes into thin air. To think Seaside Slumbers sounded so idyllic and all. Duck’s Head ,Maryland ,they were told was a quaint town and well renown. As if this wasn’t exciting enough there’s talks of ghost sightings in the woods . Are they connected? To what end? The sleuths will out in the end especially with Sloan and Nanna to help out but what a todo what’s it really all about. We’ll find out soon or later as the story tracks on and before the killer has done for one of their party . That would not do at all . They don’t want a gone away party ! Great writing as ever by A.R. Winters who is very clever at setting the scenes and the plotting too is excellently achieved to make us wrack our brains thinking one thing whilst they’ve created another set of clues as well to follow . I was in my element and thinking on my feet but have to say I was beat before the story was complete .

At this point, picking up a Tiffany Black Travel Mystery feels like reuniting with old friends—ones who just happen to keep stumbling into crime scenes. But Missing Guests and Deadly Requests took things to another level. This time, it’s not just a quirky whodunit—it’s a full-blown mystery with disappearances, murder, and a small town hiding some very big secrets.

From the moment Tiffany and Rosie arrive in Duck’s Head, something feels off. A local man has vanished, and before they can even start digging into that, they uncover a murder. Coincidence? Of course not. And I loved watching them piece everything together, dodging obstacles (both dangerous and hilariously ridiculous) along the way.

What I really enjoyed in this one was the tension. The stakes feel higher, the twists sharper, and the charm of Duck’s Head makes the creeping danger even more unsettling. And, of course, Stone and Nanna showing up? Perfection. Every time those two enter the mix, I know I’m in for a good time.

A.R. Winters has a way of making every book in this series feel fresh, and Missing Guests and Deadly Requests is no exception. If you love cozy mysteries that balance humor, suspense, and an irresistible cast of characters, you need to grab this one. Tiffany Black is at her best here—and I was hooked from start to finish.

Tiffany and Rosie head to the tiny town of Duck Head, MD for their latest workcation. Nestled along the beautiful Chesapeake Bay, Tiffany plans to gorge herself on the local seafood and Rosie hopes to visit a nearby archaeological dig. Instead they find their host acting strangely and refusing to answer questions, especially avoiding information about the quirky mammoth hut room. Overhearing a conversation, they learn about guests disappearing from local accommodations. They meet a man whose diabetic son is missing and agree to help find him. Rumors of ghost parades at the nearby state park, hidden treasure at the dig, and a woman killed in a bizarre incident complicate things, but with Stone and Nanna turning up, Tiffany is sure to prevail.

The Tiffany Black Travel Mysteries are always great fun and Ms. Winters does a fantastic job with setting the scene at each locale. As a native Marylander, the setting on the Chesapeake and emphasis on the blue crabs was an added plus for me, as well as the addition of scrapple for breakfast. And yes, it’s better to not ask what parts are in it. Plenty of twists and turns as the gang try to figure out if, how, why the odd occurrences are connected to the missing person. Nanna checking into the mammoth hut room and loving the ghost hotel were peak Nanna. Poor Stone didn’t know what he was getting into when he offered to protect the client.

Sent to Delaware to scope out a tourist area, Tiffany and Rosie find them selves knee deep in a mystery. It seems guests at every hotel have disappeared. Food half eaten, tv on, all belongings still in the room, but, no guests. They find out no one is willing to talk about it, all except for a young man named Quincy who's aunt and dad are concerned. Quincy needs insulin, something that was left behind. The clock is ticking. There is also a rumor of a ghost parade made up of the dead mercenaries of long ago. The list of suspects is not that big, but getting proof is totally hard. Stone comes to help and of course Nana has arrived. A page turning mystery that A.R. Winters has knocked the ball out of the park.

Tiff and Rosie keep discovering that the biggest and best treasures are their friends and family, and their new lives in Mariposas.

I enjoy the quaint town and it's quirky folks and businesses.

The gang keeps violating a variety of other crazy for Charles Locandro. Certainly a bunch of odd ducks - imperfect people with goals and action often at odds with themselves, or those around them.

Discerning who and what is important and to whom gets tangled as folks hunt all that they want - and many don't seem to mind if they're claiming ill gotten goods.
.Funny, fierce and full of mysteries - great fun reading.

This was a strong twenty-fourth entry in the Tiffany Black Travel Mysteries series, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed from the previous entries in the series. I was engaged with the characters and how it worked with the plot worked with the characters going on. The cozy mystery element was everything that I was looking for and was glad I read this. A.R. Winters wrote this perfectly and am excited for more.

Tiffany and Rosie are sent to Duck Head by their boss and what they thought would be a relaxing assignment turned into a missing persons case. As the duo are realizing things aren't adding up, Stone and Nanna arrive to assist. Nanna is her usual fun self and adds levity to the overall storyline. The team works hard to find clues and find the missing man but nothing is as it seems. This is a gripping cozy that can be read as a standalone.

A quick turn of events starts with guests mysteriously disappearing. A local man who needs his medication goes missing then, a murder happens! I enjoyed how all of these different events were going on at the same time and were connected. Another great mystery with Tiffany, Rosie, Stone and Nana ready to solve the case.

Unfortunately, while in Duck's Head they find out they are in a town with people who are just disappearing and secrets galore. This is part of the Tiffany Black Travel Mysteries Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Tiffany & Rose; while on vacation they end up in the middle of a series of murders.

Tiffany and Rosie are in a small town checking out the Marina and the town for her boss. While there A woman is murdered her body tumbling out of a tree. A booby trap was what killed her. A dig site, archeologists researching ancient ruins, ghosts haunting the woods and hidden treasure make this an exciting read. I enjoyed this book and I recommend it.
