Ripped can be read as a stand-alone or as a spin-off to the New York Times bestselling Shattered Hearts series.

Adam has had his heart ripped out before. But there’s nothing he and Lindsay haven’t been able to overcome. Nothing that could tear them apart… until now.

After seven years of competing, Adam is at the top of his game in the surf world. But troubles at home have forced him to consider retiring earlier than expected.

With the possibility of a final competition in his future, the pressure is on Adam to perform; to leave on a high note. Long hours practicing at the beach only causes more turmoil between him and Lindsay. Until finally, the stress reaches a boiling point and someone gets burned.

This one just didn't do it for me. Maybe its because her book Chasing Abby was so over the top amazing for me, that this one just fell flat. I always liked Adam, but this book made me really not like him. Yes he wised up towards the end but it was too quick and it just wasn't believable to me. I felt a lot of issues in the book were just glossed over, for one, the whole Adam and Lena thing...yea nothing happened, but what the fuck was with all those "awkward moments"!?!?!?!?! I just didn't get that and didn't feel it was resolved...it kind of just came to a head and then just faded away. Secondly, when Adam purposefully brings up Lindsay's cheating while they were just dating, and being really freaking mean about it when his poor wife is 8 months pregnant with twins...I mean JESUS...she just let that slide....im not even pregnant and I would have flipped a shit on Adam...if you forgive someone and move past it...you cant bring it up by saying...I don't care if you cheated 10 years ago or 10 days ago, you cheated. I mean...that is not a healthy marriage to me...personally, I don't tolerate cheating and if you cheat on my once, that's it...that was your chance...BUT...if you're like Adam and Lindsay and decide to make it work...then forgive and forget should be the motto Adam...not forgive and bring up whenever you want to hurt your wife.

Ripped is the long awaited story of Adam Parker, the beloved surfer with the corny jokes that captured my heart in the Shattered Hearts Series. It's no secret that I was a #teamadam girl and so this story holds a special place in my heart.

Maturity looked good Adam. He was the same boy I fell in love with only he was a man in every sense. Adam was a doting husband and father and I did not think it would be possible to love him more - but Cassia proved me wrong. Adam struggled with finding the balance between his career and his family, something I can certainly identify with as a wife, mother and full-time employee. But his determination to do right by his family made me fall more in love.

I enjoyed getting to know more about Lindsay and seeing her interact with Adam and the children. I might still harbor a little resentment towards her because of her past choices, but ultimately I believe she made Adam happy. I needed him to love and be loved but I also needed him to find peace and my heart is full because I finally have the closure I needed for one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends.

I was so thrilled Cassia decided to publish Adam's story for her fans. I am pretty sure I smiled through most of the book - even a couple of scenes that had my heart racing with anticipation of what would come. While I am thrilled with the story, I am sad to say goodbye to my beloved Adam.

********May contain SPOILERS*******

This book felt unfinished.Adam spent 60% of the book in the company of a woman other than his pregnant wife with various sexual innuendos being passed between him & his best friend's girlfriend that almost ends in a kiss. The wife throws a fit when he confesses to the 'awkward moment' that confuses me,his best friend almost smashes him because he thinks Adam is hitting on his girlfriend than every character in this book gets convenient amnesia about Adam & Lena' 'awkward moment.'

This all gets swept quickly beneath the rug.The story line that created such tension throughout the entire book eventually fizzles out towards the end with no explanation given about the Adam/Lena moment.

I'm unsure why the author even hinted at numerous ambiguous moments between Adam & Lena that culminated in virtual emptiness.

Two years ago I read 'Shattered Hearts Series'. I met Chris, Claire, Adam and Lindsay. I fell in love with Chris Knight and became #TeamChris Forever. Adam? I liked Adam. His jokes were amazing.

Adam's story is a love story, we all know that. In this book we learned that his love story still has lots of obstacles and mountains to be conquered. Lindsay and Adam love each other, but there are a lot of things that are threatening their happiness and HEA. So what happens when they have a BIG IMPASSE in their relationship and the things they want want to make it work are so different? Will their marriage survive?

Warning: Expect insanely stupid and adorable jokes ( Adam's style ). Emotional rollercoaster included. Talking to your iPad or Kindle will happen ( This is only temporary ). Grinning like the Cheshire Cat is expected. Falling in love with Adam will happen ( sorry )

Okay, so I never really like Adam throughout this rollercoaster ride, but I wanted to give him a shot and hot damn, that cover, how could I resist!

This was a short read and although I really loved getting caught up in Adam's "surfing world", there was a lot I didn't like about him.  Like his entire thought process.  Some of the things he would think made me just want to slap him upside his head, hard!!!  Haha!  Anyway, things are stressful for him and Lindsey.  They already have two kids and just find out they are having twins.....all happening during Adam's major surfing tournament that could bring him the championship.  I mean I got it, surfing was Adam's life and he had worked for many, many years to get to this point.  However, Lindsey had a point also.  She wanted Adam to retire and help her with the family, especially with the impending twins.  She felt family should be his first priority.

It was a good book, and I will continue with the series (if Cassia continues)!

Being back in Adam's world made me nostalgic for the feeling I got the very first time I read the Shattered Hearts series. We've gotten glimpses of Chris and Claire but for those of us who are and always will be #TeamAdam, this was a great surprise from Cassia Leo.

Now 32, Adam is at the top of his surfing game but struggling to balance his dream job with those of a family. He and Lindsey have have had their ups and downs but have always emerged stronger. With a new baby on the way, she is pushing him to retire.

Most of this book is really Adam's struggle to define himself. If he retires, can he be happy giving up his dream? I'll admit, I shook my head a few times at his decisions but then found myself sympathetic to him again. At first, Lindsey came across a bit whiny but then I realized how much she has given up for Adam and I had no clue how they were going to resolve their issues and remain happy together.

Adam is a great father and it was lovely to watch him with his girls, corny jokes and all. There are some sexy scenes, some funny ones, and some that make my heart squeeze (both good and bad).

For the fans of the series, reading this book really brought home how different Adam is from Chris. Definitely not a bad thing but it did bring a lot of peace to know he and Claire both wound up with the people they were supposed to.

Any Adam lover will adore this book. And even if you were #TeamChris, I think you'll enjoy being back in the Shattered Hearts world.

I've always loved Adam from the Shattered Hearts series and I thought he deserved his own book. Well, Cassia delivered, and I was able to fall in love with Adam all over again. In the earlier S.H. books, we were introduced to this confident, sexy, and hilarious surfer who was in the middle of a whirlwind romance between two other people. We felt for him, we laughed at him, we wanted to reach into the book and lick him (don't even pretend you didn't), but in “Ripped” we got something new.
We were able to really see the two kinds of men that make up Adam. On one hand, he's a doting father and a sweet husband who would go to the ends of the earth for his family. However, there's another side to Adam, and it's one he lets dominate him for the majority of the book, and that is the successful, career oriented man. He wants to be at the very top of his game when it comes to competitive surfing. He doesn't want to retire, even though his wife gives him one heck of a reason to quit. But no, Adam doesn't want that, and I've gotta say... I really wanted to shake him (a sign of a truly well written character). He was just so sweetly oblivious to some things, and other things he just downright ignored. But that's our Adam... He was just perfectly written and his story was amazing. And as for his wife, children, and friends, I think I fell in love with them as well.
This book drew me in from page one. I received the ARC sometime in the morning and was done a little after my son got home from school. I tore through this book as fast as possible. I couldn't stop myself! Cassia has a way of writing to where you don't even feel like you're reading. You feel like you're living someone elses life and when you look up from the pages and see what's really in front of you, it takes you a minute to adjust. She's just that freaking good.
The Shattered Hearts series is my favorite romance series of all time, and it's because of the depths Cassia goes to bring her characters to life. They are all people you could love. And love them I do.
Kudos, Cassia! This is an amazing addition to the Shattered Hearts series.

RIPPED (SHATTERED HEARTS 7) by CASSIA LEO

WHAT A TREAT!

Cassia Leo surprised her readers with the release of this book. Adam Parker fans surely is delighted to know that his book is finally out. I, too missed his character and his corny jokes and to finally read his story is such a delight. I am glad that this book is funny and light and pure bliss. I mean, I was expecting tears and heartaches in this book but it didn’t have that and I am glad because for once I am not crying over a Cassia Leo book, especially with this series so Ripped is definitely is a new atmosphere and just a chill kind of book.

I am looking forward to reading a book 8 or spin-off of this series. I am curious about Yuri & Lena’s life and the struggles that they have and I am sure Cassia will give us so much more once she releases the book. YAY!

Oh adam you never seize to amaze me. I started the shattered hearts series 2 years ago and immediately fell inlove with Chris Knight. I secretly have a thing for sexy rock stars ..but Adam grapsed my heart when he swooped in to try and heal Claire. His corny jokes never get old and there are definitely alot in this book. I'm really happy that Cassia was able to get this book written because Adams story needed to be told and i'm extremely happy to say he got his HEA.

"What's with the red briefcase?"
"Open it."
"This isn't going to release one of Yuri's farts, is it?"
"No, i couldn't afford that."
Hahahahahaha!!!

I'll take forever.

Absolutely amazing. Everybody needs to grab their copy!!

What happens when your wife becomes pregnant with twins while your career is just starting to take off?

Adam and Lindsey were Celebrating their second honeymoon in Tahiti while Adam competed during one of his surfing competitions. Adam’s life revolves around surfing. Surfing is his priority. He’s been practicing for nine years to become world champion. Raising a family and being a father is difficult to juggle when he’s away for surfing completions. Rumors begin to circulate about Adam retiring.

Overall:
I remember Adam. He dated Claire back in Relentless. He was a surfer back then and he’s still a surfer. Although, he’s no longer with Claire. He’s married to Lindsey. They’ve been married nine years with two kids.
This series has been my favorite of all the books written by Cassia Leo. The first four books ripped my heart to pieces. Each book after the first four can be read as stand-alone’s. This one is a spin-off from the Shattered Series.
While I appreciate dedicating a book to Adam I wasn’t as inspired by his story after reading about Claire and Chris.
Ripped is a sports romance about pro surfer Adam and his wife Lindsey. They are married with two children. Lindsey is pregnant. Adam is talking about retiring, yet at the same time doesn’t want to quit the sport. Surfing has been his life.
I find myself uninterested in Yuri and Lena’s story. It overcrowds the story between Adam and Lindsey.
I liked Adam the first time I read his character, but I’m not diggin his character in Ripped. I can’t believe I’m going to say this but this story had too much sex and not enough storyline. The relationship was based on Adam surfing and sexing up his pregnant wife. I kept waiting for something monumental to happen.

This is book seven in the Shattered Hearts series. It can be read as a standalone or as the conclusion to the full series. This is the story of Claire's ex, Adam, and his now-wife, Lindsay. I get why this book was written, but personally, I did not need their story. I was not an Adam girl during the first books and did not care for Lindsay. I found Adam to be a bit annoying with his need to constantly make jokes, his immaturity that comes through, and his insecurities that are strangely combined with arrogance. Lindsay is just a dull character who offered nothing to me. After reading all the others in the series, I had no interest in reading this story. I finally did so I could complete the series, and it was ok, but it can be skipped if you're not crazy about Adam. The story reinforced my earlier feelings about Adam and Lindsay and was more sexual than the others for some reason.

If you haven't read the other books, your feelings may be different than mine, or if you read the series and were an Adam fan.

As a note from a North Carolinian, the idea that a pro surfer would live and train for national championships on our beaches is laughable. We do not have surfing waves.

I loved Adam in the Shattered Hearts series, I just didn't love him for Claire. Nobody could be better for Claire than Chris. I was thrilled to see Adam get his HEA with his first love, Lindsey, at the end of the Shattered Hearts series.

This book picks up a bit down the road. Lindsey and Adam have two kids and Lindsey is pregnant again, this time with twins. Adam is on the surfing tour at the top of his game. Lindsey and Adam have crazy chemistry, but lately Lindsey has been having some issues with Adam being away all the time. She wants him to retire from surfing and be home more since they will have 4 children. Adam agrees to retire after this season, but he is really just humoring Lindsey.

The book mostly deals with Adam having to grow up a bit and realizing that marriage involves two people being happy and fulfilled and being a parent means sacrificing sometimes. In the end, it all works out and I enjoyed finding out how these two get there. Great addition to the series.

This story was just okay for me - I expected so much more. I really liked the Adam character in the other books so I was excited when I saw he got his own book. This story just lacked the in depth emotion that I was looking for. Chasing Abby was such an amazing story - probably one of my favorites - so I guess I was expecting so much more from Adam's story.

I loved Adam from the beginning, and I’m glad his own story was written by the author. Even though at times he seems selfish, but there is no one more loving and forgiving than Adam..... And his jokes... Oh Man. He is funny for sure. And the way he loves Lindsey and the kids is breathtaking.

This was a wonderfully sad but heart warming erotic romance in a small town in Canada. Rafe and Olivia Minelli fell in love when Rafe was stationed in London Ontario during his OPP (police officer) training and decided quickly to get married before Rafe had to move back up north to Pine Harbour where he is also an army reservist. Unfortunately for both of them, the pressures of living in a small town of 600 people with no friends, an unfulfilling job as a diner waitress, a medelling mother in law and Rafe being a workaholic, after 3 wonderful years and another year of constant arguing, their marriage ended in divorce. Unfortunately, that means they see each other all the time in the small town and still feel very much in love with each other but nothing has really changed between them. When Olivia sees Rafe with a random woman who spent the night at his house after a night on the town and a broken down car, Olivia decides she needs to move out of the town to move on because she can't stand seeing Rafe move on with someone else. This just make Rafe decide that he doesn't want to move on though so he decides to woo her back. Olivia is determined not to fall for it though as she still cannot bear being home alone every weekend while Rafe is off working or on reservist maneuvers. Before she can make her plans to leave, a movie producer eating at the diner asks for information on a location scout for an upcoming movie they will be filming in Pine Harbour and Olivia decides she is perfect for the role.

This novel flowed so perfectly, I could not put it down and lost complete track of time. What I loved most about this novel though is the theme throughout of realizing that it isn't realistic in any relationship to expect your partner to be entirely responsible for your happiness. This is a fact that not all couples realize and is often a cause of divorce. The other theme often explored is arguing to find a compromise and ensure both partners needs are met versus arguing simply to hurt the other person without any real attempt at a resolution. These themes are done so well that I cried at times while reading the book. It was also steamy, passionate, inspiring and happy.

This book was so well written that I highly recommend it. It is an erotic romance but the depth of the writing and the themes explored make this an excellent read and one I recommend to anyone over 18. It will really make you think and explore your own relationships as well.

Ripped was a very pleasant surprise. I was not expecting to ever get more of Adam Parker's story but I'm extremely happy that Cassia Leo decided to let us get caught up with our favorite surfer.

It's funny because I was always Team Chris and was happy when Claire chose her soulmate over Adam all those years ago. But being back with him in this new book, made me realize what a great guy he truly was and still is and now I'm not completely sure that Claire made the right choice. I mean I'm glad she and Chris made it through their long road to happiness but to be honest, I'm now thinking that she would have been happy either way.

We get to go inside Adam's head as he continues to stay on the surfing circuit while leaving the true love of his life, wife Lindsay at home. They now have two adorable daughters and find out there are two more on the way. This story recounts the struggles Adam has in trying to find the right balance in order for him to keep living his dream all the while staying happy with the woman who owns his heart.

I had forgotten how corny Adam could be but I'll tell you, his jokes were such a highlight for me. I loved that he could be sexy and passionate one minute, then just as quickly blurt out a joke that only added to he and Lindsay's romantic trysts. They are so perfectly suited and even through some difficult times when pregnancy hormones and lonely nights cause his wife to lash out at him, Adam knows that his soul belongs to his woman no matter what. He is determined to have it all and I was honored to watch him make it happen.

Although we caught a glimpse here and there through a few of the follow-up books, after the original Shattered Hearts trilogy, of Adam and his life post-Claire, I was really and truly ecstatic that he got to tell his story. It's just great to know that he got his HEA as well and that life has been treating him well.

A great addition to the Shattered Hearts series, I strongly suggest you start from the beginning if you haven't already done so and take a ride like no other. Cassia Leo has created a group of unforgettable characters that are like no other. Well worth your time.

5 wonderful stars!

6 out of 5 RIPPED-FOR-YOUR-PLEASURE stars! Surf's up, ladies! ;)

THIS!!!

THIS BOOK IS A DREAM COME TRUE!

OLIVE RIPPED SO MUCH!

Adam is my very first love from Cassia's bestselling Shattered Hearts series and Ripped shows you exactly why he remains one of my all-time favorite book boyfriend, husband and father! I've been dying for his book since Pieces of You and you have no idea how FREAKING ECSTATIC I am when I found out about Ripped's release! I'm still high from reading this phenomenal book and nothing can wipe off that huge ass smile across my face! :D

At 32, Adam is sexier than ever and has matured into a helluva fine man, husband, father, friend, son and surfer! His corny jokes are hilarious and his bedroom moves... OH GOD, I just want to have his babies and scream BEETLEJUICE all night long! ---> You have to read the book to get this joke. I'm having cramps from laughing and clenching my you-know-what ;) Yes, it's THAT steamy!!!

But more importantly, Ripped is a heartfelt story of Adam and Lindsay's struggles with marriage, family, pregnancy, career and friendship. Adam's beautiful heart and unconditional love for his wife, children and surfing will touch your soul. This book is everything I hoped for and more! My life is now complete! *dies from a brain massage and goes to heaven* ---> Another joke from the book. Lol!

Cassia is at the top of her game and does it yet again! Ripped is my new favorite book of the year and as soon as I'm done penning this review, I'm going to re-read the entire series again for the hundredth time! #TeamShatteredHearts

With that, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from the book ♥

"Learn how to fail gracefully, then get up and try again."

p.s. Ripped is a standalone, full-length, spin-off novel from the Shattered Hearts series. The book ends with a HEA and no cliffhangers. I highly recommend reading the entire series in order to best appreciate these amazing characters and their sensational life journey!

I am a huge fan of The Shattered Heart Series, and when I heard this book had been written, and we were getting some more of the sexy surfer Adam Parker, well there was only one thing to do, and that was to one click. I am so glad I did, because like all the other books in this series, Cassia has nailed it with this one.

Once again, Cassia works her magic and you are drawn into the story. The characters become so real, and every emotion they feel, you feel it too.

Adam Parker is one of those characters that you just love, and it was so nice reading more about him and his relationship with Lindsay, and their gorgeous family.

Adam had some of the corniest jokes in this book, but it's one of the reasons I love his character. Nothing better than reading a book with a huge grin on your face.

I have to say that I became a huge fan of Lindsay in this book. She is just as funny and strong as Adam. They were the perfect couple. It was obvious she would do anything for Adam and her children.

But like every couple Adam and Lindsay have their moments, their rough patches in their relationship, where everything is not perfect. And sometimes you have to try really hard to make it work.

As much as Adam is just a big kid at heart, you certainly saw his character grow as the story went on. You saw that funny side of Adam that everyone loves, but you also saw a serious side to him. One thing that was obvious throughout this book was that his family and friends mean the world to him.

You also get some more of Adam's best friends Yuri and Lena in this book. Some really funny moments when they are all in the same room together, but also friendships that are put to the test.

This is a story of living your dreams. It’s a story of making sacrifices for the people you love. It’s a story about family and true friendships. It’s a story of love, and it’s a story of learning that you can have it all.

Ripped (Shattered Hearts, #7) by Cassia Leo

FIVE STAR FABULOUS
✫✫✫✫✫

Finally, Adam Parker's story is here and boy is it good. I fell in love with Adam back when we first met him in the beginning of the Shattered Hearts series. I rooted for him, always wanting to see him get his own HEA. For Adam it was Lindsey.

In Ripped we get to see how Adam and Lindsey's life has been. We see Adam bust his butt to final reach the highest point in his profession as a world champion surfer. We also see him struggle to keep both that and his family intact. I love Adam and I loved seeing him get what he deserved. Watching him fight so hard for what's important to him just makes me love him more. I'll be honest though, I never really liked Lindsey before and at times throughout the book I remembered why I didn't like her. She's a strong woman and she does redeem herself finally. Adam loves her and is happy so hey, I'm happy haha.

The storyline, character interaction and even the way it ends was all awesome. It was all exactly as it should be. Sexy? It's Adam Parker, of course it's sexy as hell.

Ripped is the 7th installment in the Shattered Hearts series. It is a stand-alone book but to get the full experience you should read the entire Shattered Hearts series. It's absolutely worth it.

Firstly this was a wonderful surprise, I thought it had been shelved, so when it was announced about its release I was chuffed to get more Adam, as I had been #TeamAdam from the beginning.

Although everything worked out just as it should have, I always loved Adam. Has my view of Adam changed after reading the follow up to his beginnings.

Yes it had, I think that Adam seems to have lost a little bit of his spark, he really does love Lyndsey, Kaia & Mila but he came across as if there was something missing.

I honestly thought it might have had something to do with Chris and Claire. I am pleased we got a brief mention of them, but quite rightly so, this is all about Adam and Lyndsey.

We find out that they are expecting again, Awe, so sweet and with Adam chasing after World Championships which really puts a strain on their marriage. Throw Yuri and Lena's troubled situation and it clearly was a recipe for disaster.

I loved how Adam selfishly kept putting himself above everyone elses dreams, only to learn some very hard truths from his 2 daughters.

I loved how cheesy Adam is, and how different both little girls were they really kept him grounded.

I also liked that we also got Lynsdeys POV too, she was also having personal issues and had been very unselfish with her wants and needs as far as Adam went.

This story, zoned in on Adam and Lyndsey with how much they love each other, how their two girls kept them grounded and with the help of family and friends got through some tough times.

He was,as always, honest if he screwed up, but their love kept on coming up as the most important thing that they shared. They both had moments of insecurity but thankfully worked through them.

Great story, had me turning the pages.

Firstly congratulations to Cassia Leo for staying true to Adam’s character and bringing us his story, so beautifully. I was a massive fan of the Shattered Hearts series, and I, like many had a soft spot for Adam when we first met him in Relentless. In Ripped not only do we get to know Adam a whole lot more but we also get to know those close to him and to truly get to know and understand them.

In Ripped, we get to know Adam and Lindsay, as parents, as partners and as friends. We are often quick to judge when given a snippet of someone’s character, it was great to have the chance to really get to know them on a deeper level.

We get to see the good times, the bad times and the frustrating times. We get to know Adam’s beautiful and strong willed children. (They obviously inherited there Dad’s sense of humour, there are some hilarious parts with them.) Adam’s close friends Yuri and Lena are key characters as well and it was great to get to know them more in Ripped and to see what a pivotal role they play in Adam and Lindsay’s lives.

How could you not love Adam’s sense of humour and corny jokes. There were so many funny parts in this book that I often laughed out loud at some of the ridiculous things Adam can out with… one of my favourite jokes was "What’s worse than ants in your pants?” “Uncles” …..ha ha, so silly but so Adam.

Life isn’t a bed of roses and Ripped had it all, happiness, sadness, fear and denial. I learnt from reading Ripped, how important conversations are, how important it is to open up to those around you about your feelings. Whether it’s what the other person wants to hear or not, honesty and openness are the key.

This was such an awesome surprise! I have loved Adam Parker since the first moment I met him in the Shattered Heart series. And I’m so glad that Cassia decided to give us a little more.

Ripped is the story of Adam and Lindsey seven years after the ending of the Shattered Heart series. Adam is on top of the world with his surfing and the love he has for his girls. I loved seeing how sweet and caring Adam was when it came to his family. The love pouring from him made me fall in love with him all over again. It was beautiful to read. It was great to see the growth and maturity in Adam. Now it wouldn’t be an Adam book if we weren’t graced with his jokes. Oh man…I couldn’t stop laughing. So corny but oh so Adam :). I have seriously missed them. It was a good mix in Adam to see the funny and serious. However, it is not all sunshine and roses. Adam and Lindsey have some tough decisions to make about their future and it is an emotional ride filled with love and sacrifice; about family and friendships; and discovering what it is you truly want in life. Once again, Cassia’s amazing writing hooks you into the story and you really delve into the world of these characters. I loved every moment of reading this.

It was so wonderful to be back in this world again. I couldn’t contain the giddiness that I felt while reading this story. This book is filled with both funny and emotional moments. Fans of the Shattered Heart series, especially Team Adam fans, will not be disappointed with this new addition. Just an amazing read!
