Her sperm donor stands her up. Will she say yes to the sexy mountain man who offers to fill in? 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Natalie I can’t find a good man to start a family with, so I’ve taken matters into my own hands. I’m going to have a baby no matter what. But I’ve gone broke paying for sperm donations, so now I’m buying them on the private market. That’s when a sexy mountain man offers to donate for free. I can’t say no to free. Nick Harrison might be my dream come true.
Mick When I start talking to a gorgeous curvy diva at the coffee shop, I swear I don’t know who she is. But I find out fast. She’s my new employee and we haven’t met in person yet. Is it my fault that I offer to be her baby-daddy when I find out her sperm donor stood her up? What about when she mishears my name, and I forget to correct her? Before I know it, I’ve dug a mess so deep I don’t think anything can fix it. And trouble comes knocking because I’m falling hard for her. ❤️ I’ve got to find a way to fix this mess. Step one. Confess my name. I’m Mick Harrington. Not Nick Harrison.

Mick and Natalie met at random and he was taken with her. He offered to help her achieve her dream but he kept his identity secret until he couldn’t anymore. This story proves love can conquer all. Sweet and steamy with all the warm and fuzzies you can get.

This mountain man romance was a quick steamy read. The FMC and MMC had a lot to unpack in such a short story but the ending wrapped it all up with a nice little bow.
This 2nd book of the Ozark Mountain Men Spicy Romance is another success in the world that’s been created on Red Iak Mountain. This one has quite a few blunders until they get together. As with the other series within the Ozark Mountain Men books, the characters and town are all interconnected. The reappearing characters find their way back to help guide the other characters . I absolutely adore these books. Can’t wait for more within this series.

Natalie’s biological clock isn’t just ticking, it’s practically ringing off the hook. At thirty-four, she’s ready to start a family, but Mr. Right is nowhere in sight. So, taking matters into her own hands, Natalie turns to the world of sperm donation. But when the high costs of clinics threaten her dream, she ventures into the private donor market, where fate introduces her to Nick Harrison. Or so she thinks. In reality, "Nick" is Mick Harrington, a man with a well-known family name he's keen to keep under wraps. For once, he's thrilled to be seen for who he is rather than what his surname can offer. But when he learns why Natalie’s really there, he surprises both her and himself by offering his “services” directly. Cue one of the funniest awkward scenes I’ve read in a while. Natalie, ever practical, hands him a cup and a syringe on their first “transaction” night, much to Mick’s disbelief. Clearly, he had a more traditional method in mind. 😄 As they navigate this unconventional arrangement, a genuine friendship blossoms—sweet, slow-burning, and unexpectedly tender. Watching them connect before any real intimacy develops adds a lovely emotional layer. Still, Mick’s decision to hide his true identity casts a long shadow. And as Natalie opens up about her past and the deep-seated reasons behind her trust issues, you can feel the weight of the truth Mick’s withholding. That was the moment to come clean and he doesn’t. It’s heartbreaking to realize how little Natalie has been cherished in her past, particularly in the bedroom (the poor girl has never even had an “O”). Mick not only gives her physical pleasure but emotional safety too, which makes his deception sting even more. Now, with real feelings in play, Mick has to risk it all—come clean, confess his love, and hope that Natalie can forgive him. A charming, funny, and surprisingly touching story that blends romance, vulnerability, and second chances with a wink and a syringe. Natalie is at a coffee shop waiting for a man named Lance. It looks like he has ghosted her. She has had two cups of tea and needs to use the restroom. She asks the guy at the next table who happens to be a hot mountain man, to keep an eye out for Lance. When she returns, there is still no Lance. Natalie only moved to Red Oak Mountain six months ago. She is the office manager at the lumberyard.
Mick Harrington is the man at the next table. He was waiting for his friend Brad Jenkins. They had a falling out and Mick wanted to talk and try to fix things. The coffee shop was getting crowded because it was open mic night. Mick asks Natalie if she wants to share his table while they waited instead of taking up two tables. The first singers are really loud, and Natalie does not understand the name Mick gave her. She heard “Nick Harrison”. They chat and she admits that Lance was supposed to be a sperm donor for her. She is 34 and wants to take control of her life and she wants a baby.
Mick likes her and he knows he should correct her and tell her that he is Mick Harrington, her boss at the lumberyard. However, he is enjoying the fact that she is talking to him not his family name or image. He also doesn’t tell her that he is the owner of the coffee shop. He does get Natalie to agree to send him the contract to be her sperm donor. He wants to be the one to give her a baby.
I knew Mick was in trouble when he didn’t tell Natalie his real name when they met. I was hoping that Natalie would not hate him when she found out the truth. I am liking the Red Oak Mountain stories.

Natalie is at Cozy Bean coffee shop waiting for the sperm donor to arrive. He does not come but there is a helpful stranger sitting nearby who is a very handsome Red Oak Mountain man. He was there to meet someone too but they are a no show too... Brad Jenkins...Why?! Natalie and Mick have an interesting conversation. She is surprised someone as good looking as him is willing to talk to someone like her. In her eyes, she is plus size and unattractive. In his eyes, she is a very beautiful woman with a nice curvy body. It is the Cozy Bean Mic Hour and it is loud with all the singing and music… and there is a mix up with his name. It is a secret about her last name…
Natalie is 34 years old and is ready to be a parent. She has been living in Red Oak Mountain for 6 months and is the lumberyard office manager. Mick is 43 years old, lived in the mountains all his life and he is the boss at the lumberyard! She is not aware of it yet… He could not believe it when she said, “I was supposed to meet a sperm donor”. Natalie shared more about the journey it has been going through everything to have a child. He expresses interest in helping if she does not find anyone else ;-) He has excellent genes and family medical history.
Shh… Natalie and Mick have secrets… What will happen when all comes to light?! Their feelings are changing for each other and they want more. You have to read this book! :-)
3,5/5 the story was nice, but Natalie felt so out of touch with her feelings and sensations, to me. Yes, sure, she was strong, determined, and made a successful and quiet life for herself, but she also felt like a robot (I can understand the reasoning on the whole donor thing, but still, it made me feel genuinely sad for her. She seemed so stoic). I can understand having boundaries for sure and it's good to establish, but I really felt sad for her, not experiencing pleasure and intimacy, even with herself. Practical to a fault, but I liked this part of the story, keeping things professional and a clear head, but it made her seem ... wouldn't say completly and utterly ... lost on this topic, but almost.
Also Mick's lies were bad, he was sweet with her, but he had multiple occassions to tell her the truth, I'm happy there wasn't a huge reveal at work and that it was private. And I kinda wished she would have hold the grudge against him longer, but that's me being "emotional" lol. The epilogue was cute though.
Usually like Lily's books so I guess this one wasn't for me, even if all my favorite tropes were there. T-T

This one… was a challenge for me, not gonna lie. Because enjoying it requires a major, major amount of suspension of disbelief, and I am the cynical one in my family. My main issue was twofold: he expected to have a baby with her while hiding his true identity AND she decided to get pregnant by someone without at least checking some ID. Obviously, she wasn’t taught school by nuns, is all I can say, because they are very definite that Mary is the only one who can get away with THAT particular excuse. Just saying. So I checked my common sense at the door, and read on. Natalie is sweet. Naive, but sweet. And empty of any vanity whatsoever. Not gonna lie, I did wonder if she had a concussion. Wait. Dial it back, Cat. Mick is hot. He’s also not a bad guy for one who thinks it’s acceptable to lie about his identity in order to have sexytime with someone. Wait. Quit judging, Cat. So, he uses his money to hide that he has money because he wants to— Nope. Can’t do it. Can’t just let it go and love the book. Normally I enjoy Lily Birch very much. I mean, MY VALENTINES DATE WITH THE MOUNTAIN MAN was wonderful with an Instalove hero who should go on everyone’s Book Boyfriend list. I just wasn’t able to sidestep my disbelief enough to like this one.
Do you like secrets, mistaken identity, and explosive passion? Well then this is one ebook you really shouldn't miss. You can just feel all of the emotions Mick and Natalie are feeling in this absolutely amazing author's writing. Natalie is getting older and she wants the family she never had so she's looking for someone to help her achieve her dream. Mick just wants to be liked for the man he is and not his name. When he meets Natalie he can't believe his luck because his feelings for this beautiful young woman are real. Natalie wants to keep things as impersonal as she can but there's something about this good looking man that pulls at her. Their chemistry is so combustible and their passion is off the charts. Will Mick and Natalie be able to enjoy a future together once Mick's secret is exposed? Can Natalie forgive Mick once his secret comes out and can she trust Mick with her heart? Does Mick explain why he didn't reveal his secret earlier and does he tell Natalie what he plans to do to make things right and how much she means to him? I absolutely recommend this explosively hot tension filled 5⭐️winner. I loved it and you will too.

While nervously waiting to meet her potential sperm donor, she meets a big hunky mountain man and ends up telling him all about her desire to have a child, a family of her own. When the donor doesn't show, he offers to fill in at no charge. She can hardly believe that someone so good looking would offer to help her out with her little situation. When they start, she tries to keep things strictly professional, but soon they overlap into friends territory and from there keep crossing lines. He knows she is different and he want to keep her but first he has to fess up that he is actually her boss, he hopes she can forgive him, because he can't give her up. This is a short story format so you don't get a lot of detailed character development or complicated plot line, but the author touches on what you need to give you a feeling for who they are. They have a few obstacles on their way to their HEA but they definitely get it in the end. This is a fun quick read.

Natalie wants a child and is struggling to find a donor. When another donor takes her money and leaves her hanging she sees Mick sitting beside her and they strike up a conversation. I loved reading this book the way their story developed and poor Mick gets himself in hot water with not telling the full truth. He has finally found a woman who is getting to know him for who he is. Now he has to tell this woman that he has fallen in love with the truth and hope that she forgives him. I loved every moment of this of this book and beware when you start Lily's books you so got to finish to the end. I enjoy every moment in these stories. Yes they may be a shorter story but you love every moment and I love that the full story is finished and the plot is all there and you never walk away feeling like something was missing. I can't recommend this author enough!!!
Natalie thinks she’s found the right man to be her sperm donor, but Mick literally isn’t the right man after a miscommunication about his identity, which he is in no hurry to correct. Once he falls hard for Natalie, he knows he has to confess but he’s afraid that he will lose the woman who has made him feel so much. This story takes us on a heart warming journey with Natalie and Mick displaying vulnerability and revealing their motivations as they navigate trying to make a baby both scientifically and naturally. Recommended for readers looking for an emotional, thought provoking read with a strong woman who knows what she wants and a hot mountain man who really wants to help her with her dream, with great dialogue and satisfying steam.

Natalie wants a baby without a man in her life;she had been in the foster care system since she was 5 to 18. She felt that she would be a good mom. She had tried the sperm donors without luck. Now the latest donor hasn't shown even though she had paid him. The guy near her asked if she was OK and she explains what's going on. He volunteered to help her have a baby. She finally agrees provided he supplies some paperwork. She catches his name as 'Nick' as it's noisy in the coffee shop and he doesn't correct her since he knows that he's her boss,Mick. He has his reasons. Follow their different methods to get her pregnant. Will it work? What happens between them? How does Natalie react when she learns his real identity?.

This was so fun! I enjoyed this one, it was short and a full read with a crazy topic and two people who needed the other. The writing is great and the story is entertaining. The antics that went on until the bun could start baking in the oven had me cracking up.
He was intrigued by her and she was looking for a man to give her a baby. And not the only fashioned way. But it IS the best way…
I truly felt like he was a good man. He tried saying his real name and then got caught up in her. She had a valid reason to be cautious and to want a little one of her own. I love the small town feel and the friends that surround them. Their story was believable and sweet. I wish there was some work naughtiness! Lol, I really expected that! A sweet read and a lovely HEA. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Thank you to the author for the free copy via BookSirens! I’m leaving this review voluntarily.
This is my second book from this author. She is a great writer, and the book was technically sound (which is often not the case with indie authors).
I was a little confused by the foster care part of the storyline since it didn’t seem to jibe with her goal to be inseminated by a stranger. If she really wanted a child and knew what it was like to grow up in foster care, I don’t know why she wasn’t pursuing the foster parent or adoption route…other than the fact that it doesn’t make for a spicy story.
This also wasn’t as spicy as I expected, and the “I love you”s felt like they came out of nowhere since we were only told they spend a lot of time together but aren’t privy to their conversations or them getting to know each other.
I will absolutely read more from this author though!
Loud mic night leads to a misunderstanding and love ❤️
Wow do I love Natalie! In this awesome, fan-yourself read, she is feeling her biological clock and when stood up by her sperm donor, makes a deal with super hot guy next to her. But noisy conditions causes her to hear his name incorrectly. Hmmm what could be the problem with that😉!! She is strong, confident, independent, yet loving and will make a stellar Mom. Mick (ie Nick) is a caring and decent guy. I don’t know how she held out so long but gave them time to fall for who they are. They’re good solid people who deserve happiness. Wonderful ending that made me shed a tear or two. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this story.
I liked the history for Natalie, her years in foster care, being homeless at 18. It gay her a hunger, and determination to make something of herself. Since she never found it comfortable being in bed with a man due to feelings of body shame, she planned on being inseminated, and being a single mother. The whole game screw up between Mick, and Nick, was working at first, but when he started to have real feelings for her, the truth had to be told, which almost ends them. True Love wins though, and they have a deep love that also helps them work to make things right for the town, and the feud between the two biggest families ends, by the younger generation mending relationships, and improving the whole town for everyone. Great. HEA ending. Trish. A
Welcome back to Red Oak Mountain in the Ozarks. This is the second book in this series, but it's a stand-alone, hot and steamy, short novella. Come enjoy this story, and all the rest from the Ozark Mountain Men.
Natalie wants to have a baby. She has tried with the clinics and still hasn't become pregnant. Now she was stood up by a donor who took her money and ran. Could the hot mountain man chatting her up at the coffee shop be the answer? And what happens when he doesn't correct her misconception of his name?.

Join they in their love story.

I absolutely love this story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was so intense. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down because it was foggy up my glasses as I was reading. The chemistry between these characters was spicy hot and captivating of passion and forbidden romance and love. The physical tension was absolutely incredible as they couldn’t fight the temptation anymore was this love or just a dream .
I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Trina Jones
This story is somewhat different than most of Lily's mountain men stories. I was a little hard to get into, but be patient it ended up good. Natalie is wanting a baby, one on her own, she only needs a man for his donation to get pregnant. In walks Mick and due to noise around them she doesn't actually hear his correct name, but he goes with it. Now the sorta lie is on, and these two get together with the understanding it just to give Natalie a baby. But things change, especially for Mick, and when he finally sets things right is when the story takes on a whole new mood. Take a change and read, its worth the wait.
#CurvyGirl #InstaLove #SecretIdentity #Novella Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this standalone ends with a HEA. This was a quick and hot read where “Nick” volunteers to be the sperm donor for Natalie who desperately wants a family. I loved the friendship they form and that what starts out fairly clinical is able to become more. I enjoyed the characters and that Mick fell so hard for Natalie he was terrified to reveal his real identity as her boss. This was a fun twist on the br33ding kink. The characters were likable, the writing was quite good, and I am still thinking about this novella the next day- which says something. I want to read more by this author.
Lily Birch did a great job with this one! Mistaken identity, curvy girl, mountain man, Breeding kink and dirty talk it hits all the marks. Mick is being a little naughty, he knows who Natalie is when she tells him her name. He also knows she's an employee, that doesn't stop him from wanting her. Natalie is new to town and looking for a donor not love, but the man she just met may just be the hottest guy she's ever met. This is a fairly short story but it has all the parts you need and a HEA to boot.

This new series brings on the heat. Still set in the Ozarks each book has its own individual storyline. Natalie is thirty-four and all she wants is a family. When her online donor doesn’t show up to meet, she is dreading to repeat the process again. Mick sees Natalie in the coffee shop, but the music is too loud and she mistakenly hears his wrong name. He finds out her dilemma and offers his services. Great read.

Natalie can hear her biological clock ticking and has spent thousands of dollars trying to have a baby. Not knowing many people in Red Oak Mountain leaves her feeling alone. Mick has lived here all his life, and his family owns most of the area. A misunderstanding between Natalie and Mick leads to some drama. I love that Natalie allowed Mick to do the right thing for her. This is a great book and a perfect addition to the Ozark Mountain Man series.

I really liked this one by Lily, it had a bit of mistaken identity drama mixed up with the mountain man, breeding tropes. Natalie and Mick/Nick really hit it off…it’s instalove for Mick but when he realizes he’s Natalie’s boss and she mistakenly thinks he said his name is Nick he runs with it…. He eventually tells her the truth but will it be too late?
Sweet and sexy scenes, heartfelt convo’s, a great HEA, couldn’t ask for better.

I found this short story interesting. I love the characters; they were written perfectly. There are only two main people in this story: Natalie, who wants to have a baby and has tried everything, and now she is looking for a donor with ads. She is sitting in a coffee shop, and Mick happens to be sitting at a table next to her when they connect. This story has twists and turns. I found it very enjoyable. I received an advanced review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my honest opinion.
Natalie wants desperately to have a baby regardless of her marital status. Mick is a wealthy business owner in town. Tropes: Mountain man, curvy women, small town, quick read, age-gap, secret identity, alpha hero, forbidden, workplace, pregnancy, sperm donor, OTT, instalove, HEA romance.
A huge thank you to Lily Birch and Booksprout for providing me with an eARC book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
