He was my worst bully. He took my virginity, then laughed at me. I still gave him my heart…and a secret baby girl that he never knew about. He left for the black ops, but now he’s back to claim his position as the Alpha King. And the first thing he does…is shackle me to the wall and interrogate me.
I’m nothing. The local outcast. Useless, bullied, and ridiculed. In this small town of wolves and witches, I’m the only one without any powers. Or so I thought. But he locks me into his house and makes my prick wounds bleed. He subjects me to his questions and refuses to let me go.
My dormant magic comes out only when he possesses my body. He breaks down my plus-size curves and makes them his. He tears down my walls until I’m so exhausted that I submit. But when he finds out that he has a baby girl, will he expose me again?
Or will the Alpha King finally claim his little family?
The Belleville Black Ops Wolves have come to an isolated small town to lay down their rules. They will claim their mates, do with them as they please, and refuse to make any compromises, because they know what their mates really desire deep down…
A slow build shifter/witch romance with great chemistry between the main characters, black ops, danger, magic, light humor and a great HEA.
Calla is a survivor, she has had to be as she's half wolf and half witch, though she's never shifted and has no magic so is rejected by both the pack, the coven and her mother. But when the alpha's son comes home to take the crown, a drop of her blood causes a great power to be felt and he first puts her in a cell then takes her to his mansion, for protection.
Ryker is an alpha who doesn't understand why he feels so protective towards the half shifter/half witch. He takes her to his place to ensure she can't be attacked by the pack but the more time he spends with her the more he wants to hold her again. When she lets him know she has a daughter who is with her mother, he goes straight to get her to bring her back to his as well; though he doesn’t know where the paternal instinct he feels for the girl comes from.
Ryker had planned to cut ties with the witches when he took over from his father, but with Dark Wolves threatening their territory he realises the pack might need their magic, and they definitely need the protection of the wolves. With his attraction for Calla increasing and the need to protect his pack and newly discovered family, he'll do anything he can to ensure their safety.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tyler and Dallas Story has been together before he left on a black ops mission.5 years later he is home to become alpha And she is still Shunned By the pack. She ends up in trouble and he moves her to his house to watch over her and finds out that she has a daughter. The daughter is his and he learns of that and is not happy. But the dark Werewolves Are out to get her for her magic abilities. It's up to all of them to help save their pack and to mend fences with the Wolves and witches.
I just couldn’t keep going anymore. DNF at 68%. Too many plot holes. She can’t control her magic and she only knows what Elara teaches her to do… yet suddenly she is so confident she thinks she can do anything. Even magic she’s never done. And Kane was left behind, but suddenly he’s there. Nothing makes sense. Finally, virtual voice is never great, but for this one it was beyond bad.
How many times do we see stories where love is denied but the feeling never leave? How many times do we see tradition holding lovers at odds? This book had that plus the fear of being hurt yet again. Love finally wins in the end
This is story of brother's best friend who use to bully her when they were growing up..to asking for her help to save their pack ....they have ups and downs along the way but finding new understanding within each other and together leading to their love
Wow! Another fantastic shifter story by Blue Thorne. I read this book in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down! The main characters Ryker and Calla were exceptionally well written and so easy to engage with. The few fight scenes were descriptive and I could actually see myself right there. And I love how Blue Thorne blends her world building immersively, beautifully and creatively. An absolutely fantastic read! I highly recommend it!
