A Forbidden Love, Dark Mafia Romance with Romeo & Juliet Vibes
He’s my savior. My enemy. My lover . . .
When Stefano announces our engagement, he has no idea that I belong to a rival family. No idea he’s revealing my real identity to the Mafia.
With my secret out, my brothers rush to New York and force me to go home—or they’ll hurt my son—because the Bratva has called in a family debt. And I’m the payment.
There’s no escape for me. I’m either a prisoner of my past or my future.
Stefano must now fight to get me back. The price, however, is one he might not pay. It would cost him his revenge. Maybe even his empire.
His next move will take down my cruel, abusive father. But in a flash, more players enter the game, and the risk is much greater than we anticipate.
In the end, though? Win or lose, neither of us plans to live without the other.

I was so excited to read Savage Enemy and it lives of to its name. Stefano and Val’s story continues as they go up against her family. Her father and brothers broke into Stef’s home and took Val back to Chicago. She is to be handed over to the Russians unless Stef can get her back. Val is subjected to horrible verbal and physical abuse. Stef makes an appearance at a masqurade ball to make her father an offer to ‘buy’ Val. Her father refuses his offer even though it is a better deal than what the Russians are going to pay. Stef has to go back to New York to regroup and face the Commission. The misogyny is at an all time high in this book, more than any other mafia romance I’ve read before. This is partly done to help show how terrible her family is but Stef’s inner dialogue was a little too much for me at times. I found myself really disliking him a few times because of the things he said about Val. Do I care that the plot was predictable? No, I did not, because I love these characters. They do spend most of the book separated, but when they were together it was emotional yet spicy. Somethings are resolved but their story isn’t over, now they have to face the Russians and the Commission back in New York.
Thank you Kelliann Nelson for the ARC.

A Few Favorite Quotes: “Savage enemy or not, when Stefano Vignali loved, he loved very deeply, and nothing else mattered to him.”
5 ⭐️ 📕: Savage Enemy by Kelliann Nelson Kelliann make another amazing book that sucked me in from the beginning that had me hanging on till the end !! Can’t wait for book three.. In this book we find more about Val’s life with her family please know the is a dark romance check trigger warning and definitely read book one first. Val’s father want her back to give her to Russian Mob man that he had arranged her marriage .. Stef fight to get the woman he loves back.. This book will suck you in !!
Val and Stefano are back and the danger in their relationship is as volatile as ever. Still recovering from her recent abduction, the haunted past she was trying to escape is back to claim her would once again. As Stefano fights to get his future wife and his heir’s mother back, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Val must find a way to escape her past once more or at the very least, do what she must to keep her boys safe. I loved this next chapter of the Savage Syndicate Series! I could not put this book down!!! With unexpected twist and turns along the way, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole ride through. Kelliann Nelson does a marvelous job keeping the readers engaged and rooting for Val and Stefano’s devotion and commitment to each other to prevail once again. Such an amazing read and I cannot wait to see what the next book in this series holds!!
Book 2 picks right up from book one, and Val's lies have put everything she tried to save in critical danger. Only Stefano has no idea of the level of danger he's in.
I strongly recommend reading in order, preferably right after book one. The situations that these characters endure is page-turning, violent, challenging and difficult to detach from, at times.
The pages turned themselves and I found it hard to stop reading, so plan your time. This does leave on a 'happy for a moment' ending, but also the same level of cliffhanger that the first one did, so be okay with that.

I can never put down Kelliann's novels once I start reading and this was no exception, I sat down and read through in 2 days and my mind has yet to return to me fully intact. I am lost for words and how to describe the feelings I have after finishing Savage Enemy. I am feeling so many things at once that I just don't know. I want to cry, I want to rage and scream. Rip my heart out and put it on a silver platter. I'm not okay.
I do want to say that if you haven't read Book 1 Wicked Rivals, you will need to and prepare for the ride ahead. This installment dives much deeper into Val's life with her family and at every turn, it is surrounded by warring, it is dark and it does have graphic depictions of the violence, it is a huge part of forwarding the story and the plot. This was a rollercoaster of a ride and not the most fun one. There is so much at stake and so many dangerous choices to be made that effect so much and so many evil jerks all around in these cities, between Chicago and New York. So many lives are on the line while Stefano tries to hunt down Val after her father came and took her home, continuing forward from where they left off ten years earlier in selling her off to the Russians. It's a race against time to save Val, selling their souls to devils and loss and pain.
Thank you Kelliann for sending me this ARC to read!
This is part 2 of the Savage Syndicate Series. You have to read Book 1: Wicked Rivals in order to enjoy this book. And trust me, you will most definitely enjoy BOTH books!
“HE ISN'T THE ONLY MAFIA BOSS EAGER TO PUNISH ME.” Tropes: 🖤mafia romance ❤️🔥enemies-to-lovers 🖤forbidden love ❤️🔥he falls first 🖤it's always been you ❤️🔥Romeo & Juliet vibes 🖤warring rival families ❤️🔥rather die if I can't have you.
Stefano and Valentina's (formerly known as Valerie) future continues to be in jeopardy as all the secrets from book 1, that kept them apart for the last 10 years, are finally revealed (and a few new ones too)! Please review the TW prior to reading as there are some significantly difficult scenes regarding the physical violence of FMC (not by MMC) both past and present.
Valentina is taken (again) but this time by the very people who should have protected and loved her, not hurt her and be ready to dispose of her to the highest bidder. She is forced to leave her son behind, ensuring his safety and his future.
Stefano makes huge sacrifices in his attempts to reclaim her; to solidify and legitimize his relationship with Valentina but most importantly, to bring home the mother of his child, and the love of his life.
It is very action packed and emotional. If this was real life, i would be incredibly concerned for Enzo (their 9 year old son) and his potential to develop a sociopathic personality disorder, however, thankfully this is fiction and it's paving the way for (what i assume to be) a potential next generation series.
Stefano and Valentina's chemistry continues to run super hot and steamy. What they can't express in words to one another, they show in their actions. Stefano is the literal embodiment of "I will burn the whole world down for her".
I received a free ARC of this book and this review is only my opinion
Savage Enemy is absolutely suspenseful and a page turning dark mafia romance story. The story is captivating from beginning to end, entertaining and an enjoyable read. This story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it. I did NOT want to set this book down until I read the very last page because I was completely hooked by the storyline. Savage Enemy contains a fantastic plot, outstanding characters and an ending that absolutely took my breath. The characters are fantastically written and fabulously executed throughout the book. Savage Enemy follows the journey of Stefano and Val. The chemistry between these two incredible characters is scorching hot and undeniably irresistible. I LOVED getting to know both Stefano and Val as well as seeing their story unfold through the pages of this fantastic dark mafia romance. I’m looking forward to reading the next book to see what will happen next for Stefano and Val. Savage Enemy is amazingly written, exceptionally balanced with action/romance and phenomenally executed by Kelliann Nelson. She continues to showcase what an amazing author and writer she is with each book I’ve read by her so far. In my opinion, she puts her all into the stories she creates and writes for a reader’s enjoyment. Savage Enemy is absolutely a recommended book for anyone who is looking for a new dark mafia romance story to read.

✦ 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 - • dark mafia romance • forbidden love • arranged marriage • rival families • secret identity • "my wife" trope • enemies to lovers • hurt/comfort
✦ 𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 - Thank you so much author for the free ARC! It was such a treat to dive into this world. Savage Enemy completely blew me away! From the very first page, the tension was off the charts. The way Kelliann Nelson weaves the dangerous world of mafia rivalries with a heart-wrenching forbidden love story is nothing short of brilliant. The heroine’s fight to break free from her past, faking her death and hiding from her family, made her so relatable and strong. Stefano, the ruthless mafia boss with his fierce protective streak, gave me all the intense alpha vibes I live for. Their chemistry was explosive yet raw, and the emotional depth really hit me in the feels. The stakes keep rising, and just when you think things can’t get more complicated, bam another twist that left me gasping. The story perfectly balances dark, twisted moments with softer, vulnerable scenes that make you root for them even more.
Savage Enemy is book two in the Savage Syndicate series, and we’re back with Stefano and Valerie—I’ve been waiting impatiently for their story! If you haven’t read Wicked Rivals (book one), stop right here and go read it first. It’s absolutely fantastic and sets the stage perfectly for everything that happens in Savage Enemy.
From the very first page, this one had me on edge. I already knew it would be intense after how book one ended, and the author completely delivered. The tension, the stakes, the chemistry—it’s all here. And yes, we get hit with another cliffhanger (cue the rage 😤), but honestly, that just means there’s more goodness to come.
It’s been awhile since I have read a continuous series that wasn’t fantasy. I wasn’t expecting it but really enjoyed that we got to continue Stefano and Val’s story and woahhhh was there a lot happening.
This was a pure adrenaline rush with a side of hot sauce and it was really enjoyable! It does end on another intense cliff hanger that will have you fuming and on edge.
We get to tap into Val’s family in this one and it was a shocking on all sorts of levels. Read your triggers please and be ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions!
The second book of this trilogy did not disappoint! It starts where book one finished and gets right in to the drama. Val’s lies have caught up with her and her past has come knocking. You get to see more of how Val grew up and how she managed to escape her family previously. Stefano works hard to get Val back home where she belongs, but that doesn’t happen without consequences. I can’t wait see how this story concludes in book 3!
I can never put down Kelliann’s novels once I start—and Savage Enemy was no exception. I devoured it in two days, and honestly, I don’t think my mind has fully recovered. I’m speechless trying to describe what this book did to me. I want to cry, scream, rage… rip my heart out and serve it on a silver platter. I am not okay. OH. MY. GOSH. SHE DID IT AGAIN!!!!
Savage Enemy is book 2 in the Savage Syndicate series, and we’re right back in the chaos with Stefano and Valerie. I’ve been waiting on pins and needles for their story to continue after Wicked Rivals, and let me tell you—if you haven’t read that one yet, start there. It’s the beginning of their journey and an absolute must-read. You won’t fully appreciate Savage Enemy without it.
This book had me on the edge of my seat from the first page. I knew it would be intense based on book one, but Kelliann delivered in spades. The emotions? Everywhere. The tension? Palpable. And yes—she hit us with another cliffhanger (🤬🤬🤬), but honestly, I’m not even mad. That just means another epic installment is on the way. Cruel King, I’m begging you—hurry!
Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off and dives straight into the drama. Val’s lies catch up to her and her past comes crashing back in. We get deeper insight into her childhood and what she ran from, while Stefano does everything in his power to bring her back home—though not without serious consequences.
The second book in this trilogy did not disappoint. I need book 3 in my hands like, yesterday. I need to know how this ends.
KELLIANN AGAIN?! What are you doing to my poor heart?!
My oh my was this another nonstop read! Much like the first book, I couldnt put this one down!
We pick up right where we left off at the end of Wicked Rivals. Stefano & Val thought thejr happy ending was just beginning only to have Val's past come pounding on the doors.
Enzo will forever remain my favorite. Like ive said before, this boy does not play about his momma. I would love to see him get a spin off story once Stefano & Val's story ends. His bravery is incredible at just 9yrs old and his dedication just shows how this little prince will someday be the fiercest King. I also wouldnt mind seeing Marco & Santo get stories as well.
I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and my lack of sleep was so worth the "my wife" vibes Stefano was throwing around. I mean I was squealing and kicking my feet when he told his men to "retrieve our queen" 😭😭🤗🤗😍😍🥵🥵
Cruel King can not come fast enough! I will definitely be applying for that ARC as well!!
OH MY GOSH! AGAIN!!!!!! Savage Enemy is book 2 in the Savage Syndicate series and we're back with Stefano and Valerie. I have been waiting on pins and needles for this story! Wicked Rivals brought us the first part of thier journey and let me tell you, if you haven't read that one do not start here. Wicked Rivals is freakin fantastic and definitely a must read of course since it's part 1 of their story and you absolutely do not want to miss Savage Enemy! This story had me on the edge of my seat from the very first page. I knew it was going to be a fantastic story just from book 1 and this author certainly brought it in spades with this one too. She hit us with another cliffhanger (🤬🤬🤬) but that's ok. It just means another great addition to this story is coming. Now if Cruel King will just hurry and get here!
Savage Enemy is the next installment of Stefano and Val's story. It begins with the ending of the first book. This was a great ending to an amazing story. I would recommend reading them together.
Val is taken again but this time by her brothers to pay a debt. She has to leave her son, Enzo, behind. Stefano didn't know about Val's family or her past. But Val is strong and fights to break free from her past. Their chemistry was once again very good.
I loved how good Enzo was. He was always defending his mom. He was such a strong boy and didn't want to sit down to rescue her.
This was another great story and I look forward to the next one.

This is Book 2 in the Savage Syndicate Series by this author. It is the continuation of the dark mafia romance between Stefano and Val. These flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. It is an emotional ride with drama and steam, danger and suspense, sexual tension and chemistry, sexual tension and chemistry, and engaging secondary characters. A captivating page turner with no happy ending yet.

This is book two in this series Savage Syndicate. This book starts off where the first book left off. You should read them in order to get the background of the characters and story. Stefano didn't know the what he opened when he announced his engagement to Valentina. What he didn't know was that she was from a rival family and she faked her own death to escape an arranged marriage. The family was calling in the debt. The story will hold your attention to see what will happen next. I am looking forward to see what comes next.
4.5 stars. This one had me pacing like a lunatic. I thought Val’s secrets in book one were messy, but this? This was a full-blown shitstorm. Stefano is completely unhinged and I loved every second of it. He’s feral about her, violent about her, borderline psychotic... and I ate that up. The family drama ramps up hard and the power plays get nasty. Some parts had me tense as hell, other parts made me want to throat punch her father. Is it healthy? No. Did I care? Also no. This series has its claws in me and I’m already fiending for book three.
This was another interesting and fast pace read. It starts right where book one ended. Stefano and Val’s story just keeps delivering on the twists and turns, and their chemistry is off the charts hot and steamy. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this story for a honest review and it was a good read, but beware this is not the end to Stefano and Val’s story more is to come.

Wow!! This book is addicting from start to finish. The emotional rollercoaster is raw, devastating and intense. Val's life is dark, shocking, and emotional. Stefano is ready to pull out all the stops to bring her back where she belongs. The chemistry between Val and Stefano is explosive. This book is dark and oh so spicy!! Can't wait to see what happens next.
Savage Enemu by Kelliann Nelson is the second book in the Savage Syndicate series. This was a great book. Faking your death, engaged to a rival and then kidnapped, this poor girl was dealt a sorry hand. But love conquers all.

OMG... You need to read this dark romance book NOW, NOW, NOW because it is the BEST EVER. Trust me when I say that this book as well as the series is going to become your new obsession. This is the second book I have read by Kelliann and Holy Smokes can she write some engaging romance books.
This is the second book I've read written by Kelliann Nelson; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the second book in the Savage Syndicate Series; the story continues from the previous book and needs to be read in order and concludes in the next book.
