The time had come-- Butterscotch was ready to tie the knot! Plans were under way for the festivities and then the Mountie got called away on a dangerous case. Butterscotch was sure she could cope but, as the saying goes, man plans and the gods laugh. They laugh twice as hard at frantic brides. Will the Mountie be able to wrap up his case in time to get back for their wedding?

Loved it. Love this series and it's loveable/totally strange characters. Looks like the wedding is going to be a complete disaster. But we have to remember the townsmen have evolved into a big, beautiful, loving family. And we end up with a smile on our face. Can't wait for the next book. If I had any criticism, it's that the story wasn't long enough. Didn't want it to end.
Although these books are usually short and a bit disjointed in continuity I always enjoy visiting Butterscotch and her off the grid friends in Mac Intyrie's Gulch. And the Canadian Mountie arrives just in time for a very special wedding celebration, whats not to like!
I don't do book reviews like you keep seeing, as I find that some give too much of the plot away and I personally hate that, as it makes the book not worth reading. I much prefer to take the authors back cover write up as a review as it can either intrigue you enough to read the book of provide you enough information to make you decide that the book is not for you. My review rules are: The more stars, the more I liked it. If there are too many typos or errors the less stars I give If the storyline or plot is poor or contains too many errors, the characters are too weak, the ending lacking something, then the less stars I give. Simple, uncomplicated and to the point without giving anything away. Some of the books I read have been given to me by the author as a pre-release copy and this does not bias my reviews in any way.
Butterscotch and the motley McIntyre's Gulch residents prepare for her wedding
Butterscotch and her neighbors are Family. Each member finds a way to contribute in the preparations. It is from love and caring not expertise. There is little suspense and no mystery in this story. But it is an enjoyable little story of love, survival and old fashioned " it takes a village" approach in life.
The people are unusual, they get some quirky idea, they all join together to have fun. Though it may seem like disaster, it always is a community thing, and everyine joins in. They are short, but long on enjoyment.
This is the 6th in the Butterscotch Jones series. I love Butterscotch. She faces everything that is thrown at her. In the one Chuck has finally asked her to marry him and they plan their wedding. Anything that could go wrong does but with the help of their many friends they do finally make it.
The characters are very real and I would love to know them. As for the wedding? A comedy of errors is all I can say. The book is extremely humorous and had me laughing for most of the story. Definitely a must read.
