Overwhelmed by the increasing severity of her nightmares, Jane’s school counselor refers her to Dr. Lydia Logan, a psychologist that specializes in night terrors. Her apprehension about speaking to a stranger about her dreams aren’t eased by the fact that Dr. Logan practices out of her home, a house on a sanctuary for neglected and injured horses. She soon finds that Final Destination Stables is much more than what it seems, and has it’s own paranormal secrets to protect. What she doesn’t know is that she will soon witness the first hint that things are still not right in her ever-expanding world.
This novelette is not a stand-alone work. It is a bridge between Books 1 and 2 of the GOOPSverse and takes place shortly after “Collide” ends. “Shattered”, Book 2, is still undergoing heavy revisions and has no projected release date (though I’m hoping to have it out by NaNoWriMo so I can concentrate on Book 3), but I have included the first revised version of Chapter One.
I grew up on a steady diet of my grandmother's stories, and when I learned to read I was, more often than not, called out in class for sneaking novels in when I should have been paying attention and taking notes.
I have a deep love of dark chocolate, running through the woods on a warm day and, of course, dragging multiple books with me wherever I go.
