Are my faith and my local church still relevant? The answer is a resounding, “YES!” But only the Word of God, and especially that Word as it come to us in the Acts of the Apostles, can make it so. This 90-Day devotional journey leads readers on a guided tour of the entire Book of Acts to see and learn anew how God is always working through His people, His leaders, and His local congregations to grow His kingdom. The first century church changed the world for the better. The Lord of the church wants to use you and your 21st century congregation to do the same.

I was blessed to receive a copy of this book from William Utech himself when we were staying at the same place back in October. And I've been reading it ever since. One devotion a day, for 90 days. The book starts at Acts 1:1–11, then Acts 1:12–26, then Acts 2:1-13, etc. etc. until on Day 90 you read Acts 28:30-31.
The book's subtitle is 'A 90-Day Devotional Journey to Missional Living.'
And that's what this book is. It is a devotional. Each devotion is about twice the length of a Portals of Prayer. It proclaims the gospel, comforts the sinner and timid with the good news of Jesus. It does NOT give you programmatic steps to take, and there is no formal 'call to action' . . . because it is a Devotional.
The book has keen insights, always with an eye toward outreach and mission. The fact that I stuck with it for 90 days is a testimony to this book's value.
There were only a few times the book felt a little overly preachy concerning whatever Synod is bickering about today (like pastoral formation), but if you weren't 'in the know' it would go over your head.
I enjoyed making this book a part of my morning devotional routine for the past 90 days.
