I can't believe I've been reading this for over a decade at this point, and even though there are some things I would have liked to see played out, or character arcs that didn't really get resolved, this is still one of the best endings I've read for a long standing series. Screaming crying throwing up etc. etc.

I'm sorry, but I did not like this at all. Spoilers ahead.
It was rushed, and left many questions unanswered. If we would cut that Father content by half we could get some, but nah. You read the last page and you go "that's it"?

Father x Yato fight no.4? 5? I've lost count. The fake world was such a cheap plot device. Father already overstayed his welcome, but it just kept dragging on and on. I really don't know what he is after anymore, and I don't really care. I wish he would stop focusing on Yato and went after the gods instead or something. His monologues were so tiresome.
I was expecting him to calm down or something when he realized Kaya was gone. But no, he kept on going.
Yato as child, Yukine as some kind of wolf thing, people turning into some kind of monsters, gods killing them? idk it's just too weird. Near shore, far shore, who cares now.

But what pissed me the most was Hiyori. It's clear she has no place in this supernatural fight and despite her character previously managing to stay relevant during the story, she is just in a way here. So how does Adachitoka use her here to keep her relevant still? She looses all her agency(and voice) and becomes a tool. I was scared of this from the time she had that heart to heart with her grandma. Hiyori was always strong in her own way, grounding others etc., but this is doing her disservice.
Their reunion is absolute garbage, Yukine is far away being eaten alive and Yato is a child. She just randomly stumbles into their fight, only to die. It's not even sad, it's just used for shock value. Like if her fate should be tragic, alright, but she could have become his shinki two volumes ago. Why it should be her killing Father? Of all people, her?? Was she somehow connected to Sakura after all?
Then the CPR while you are holding a knife that is her soul... ehm, what?? I will not be talking about that panel that is framed like "a kiss" when her body is dead and cold and she does not know about it. I wished for them to kiss for years now, but you can take this back, I don't want it. It's disgusting.
But you know what, everything is alright, because Amaterasu said so, so Hiyori tried how it feels like to be a shinki for a bit and then returned to normal as if nothing happened. With a manga so focused on death, preventing it, or making your peace with it... It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. She is perfectly alright now. And she is a doctor too, another thing I hate. Her brother would not do it, so she did what her parents wanted of her. Wonderful.
Their reunion after years is treated like an afterthought. The picnic the gods have takes more pages, and she does not even speak with Yato, she only says his name, and Yukine is not even present. Garbage, truly.
Why did Ōkuninushi hang their plates up and wished them happiness? Where is it, that happiness, I want to see it??
We also don't get any info about the supernatural powers of Iki family because grandma was killed off. Great. Hiyori could have been a shrine maiden and keep on visiting Yato and Yukine, but no.

And after years of worrying about Yato dissapearing it's treated like a joke. Why not at this point.

So what did the story want to tell me? Only people can save other people? We can only save ourselfs? What is the message here?

Tsukuyomi theory being true would be better than this. I always wished for a reveal that Father actually lied to Yato and he was not born from his wish.

The art was still rather beautiful, if sometimes a bit funky.

The value for rereading is very small for me, knowing how it will end. The story was great until the long hiatus. When the mangakas returned it all went south.

Chapters: 104-109 (Last chapter)

Just completed the last chapter and thus the series has been concluded. Noragami will always stay with me. Such a beautiful manga and I want to thank Adachitoka for giving it to us, for continuing after their hiatus for their health. The ending seems kind of open ended, but I’m satisfied with it. Sad it’s over though.

Honestly, I am not sure on how to rate this because first there's a lot of questions still looming around me. Second, the ending kind of felt rushed. But in contrast with those, the last chapters especially 108 have made me feel such profound emotions I could actually overlook the holes in this last volume.

Reading this story is such a blast. There are a lot of times where I nearly want to throw up because of how sinister the plot is despite the comedic reliefs and tearjerker side quests of our characters. Most of the gods introduced didn't feel like accessories to our main characters. I definitely love the rollercoaster emotions I have went through reading.

In addition to those, the story will really make you think and try to put your feet in the near and far shores. Some scenes and lines from the so called gods and entities will make you think of what's right, what's wrong, proper judgment, who are deserving to live and die, and etcetera.

"I can't handle it. But I also can't destroy it the way my Dad would. This is the world that Hiyori protected. This is the grave where she sleeps." Nobody else can convince me Yato and Hiyori aren't soulmates. Since, the author decided to leave it in an ambiguous note, I will just take and think of things on my own. In my mind, there is so much more.

How do you appropriately say goodbye to a series you’ve had in your life for 13 years? Characters you’ve grown to love and adore?
I’m not sure how you can. But it happened. And here I am.

Oh what an adventure... i was really afraid to finish this and find disappointment in the end, but even if I can see why some people might be disappointed, i'm personally not. The growth that i saw in these 27 volumes is enormous and Noragami will always have a piece of my heart.
I loved every single character, changed ideas on them every volume and i just love how they decided to close this story.
I'm gonna miss it and probably gonna reread it at some point.

I don't really have a lot of words for this, just that i gave my heart to it and the manga itself gave its heart to me.

Noragami..... The series that you are... Thank you Adachitoka for all those years of beautiful art and storytelling 😭💔

Not to start rambling about something personal, but this manga series has been a huge part of my early teens, and it has stuck with me through all those years.... It feels like turning the last page of childhood, you know (not me saying this at my old age of 26 lol). I'll never be an impressionable child latching on onto a story like that. I still remember busting our old family laptop and conquering photoshop because of Noragami. I still remember learning to become fluent in another language just to get the updates early.

I forever love you, Noragami <3

This book was soo good! I read it over the course of six months, so I was a bit confused about how it ended, but otherwise it was absolutely amazing and I will definitely re-read this sometime! The ending was so similar to Spirited Away (I need a bonus chapter where it confirms if Hiyori and Yato are together!) This is definitely one of my favourite manga series of all time! I'm looking forward to what the author will release next!

What a flat and empty ending 😔 hugely disappointed.. I'm gonna buy this book, rewrite and redraw the ending, and rip the pages off and glue the pages of my own ending at the end.
They both deserved better!

there was supposed to be some growth, but everything went back to where it was, >:( in the last chapter it turns into a typical "killed the supervillain now everyone's happy and back to how everything was"

but the story is just too deep to be left at that

what is this ending? Happy that they are still alive, but we have been set up for 27 volumes for a big romance like moment just to make hiyori forget and then last page the two of them meeting again. It leaves more unanswered questions than anything. Their fates are tied yet we basically have no idea what happens to them after. Will they get together? What will happen to the trio? Unsatisfied ending

I’m not really sure how to feel about this one. Ending a series that has been around for so long is tough. Not everyone is going to be happy with the ending. It just felt anticlimactic and rushed and honestly I completely lost track what was happening cos it all felt disjointed, I had to go back multiple times and be like wait wtf is happening now? For the finale of a beloved series I was disappointed but that is just my opinion

The roller-coaster continues 😭😂 It felt a little rushed at times, but Adachitoka managed to wrap up loose ends. I was afraid of the ending, but it turns out there was no need for that. The time skip caught me off guard at first, but I love how the story ended and how it was also left kind of open, so the readers can decide how they wish it would go on.

Without spoilers, why I like the time skip, is because it also shows how Yato decided to not be selfish while keeping something dear in sight. Can you imagine that? 🥰 I love this story so much and it keeps being my number 1 manga so far 💖

(I might rewrite this later on, as I don't have too much time right now 😅)

Ask (in my review of 26), and you shall receive. Such a bittersweet finale that hits almost every emotion. Lots of action and strife. Sadness and courage. Hope and resilience.

I'd need to reread the whole series to see points the ending missed, but given that my memory sucks and I was done with the Creator, I'm satisfied with this ending. I think it's well done and sticks the landing, a rarity when anything ends.

I'm disappointed by one point in particular, but I wanted that character to go away, so it's not a sticking point.

The art is as beautiful and detailed as always. And the ending brings back the feel of the manga when it started out. Even with how everything plays out, there's a hopefulness and even lightness to it that's welcome after going through so many heavy volumes.

amazing story, from the first volume the plot had something catchy, trying to hold you in the story. emotions thrown on a page as text and drawings are something else. i was just waiting to go to the library and get the next volumes. the ending was amazing, leaving hope and some space to interpret how the story will go on. i highly recommend reading this manga for people who seek not just a good story, but also amazing character designs with unique personalities and indescribable skills of authors in showing emotions of the figures

I can’t believe it’s over but at one stage I was really not okay half way reading it I needed to put the book down and process before I kept going but thank god Adachitoka saved it and ended it in such a good way. I’m really going to miss these characters, it’s been such a long journey I’ve been following this story for over ten years 🥹 I’m feeling very emotional ahhh. Just beautifully written ❤️
