She's looking for a fresh start. He's not looking at all. The last thing either of them expects—is the other.
Lisa's ready to get serious about her career in child care, and more importantly, herself. She's not about to let anything—or anyone—get in the way, including the uncle of one of her charges. It doesn't matter how handsome and funny he is. It's not worth her job.
Jason's not happy about being stuck in the mountains for a family reunion, but the beautiful woman whose been put in charge of his nephew is a fun distraction. Besides, flirting is safe because the last thing he wants is a relationship.
When their concern for the little boy they both care about forces the two of them together, will they let their walls down long enough to see that what they’ve both been avoiding just might be the one thing that they both need most?
Elena Aitken is a USA Today Bestselling Author of more than forty romance and women’s fiction novels. Living a stone’s throw from the Rocky Mountains with her teenager twins, their two cats and a goofy rescue dog, Elena escapes into the mountains whenever life allows. She can often be found with her toes in the lake and a glass of wine in her hand, dreaming up her next book and working on her own happily ever after with her very own mountain man.
This was a good read. Lisa has had some problems in the past. She is looking to avoid trouble. Then Jason comes into her life. He has some issues with his own past. Luckily it all works out between them and they get their happy ending.
Elena Aitken has done it again! I have fallen in love with the Castle Mountain Lodge again! Lisa and Jason are two lost souls in need of help and with the help of one little boy and a caring family will they find what they need? Tempting Gifts is a great addition to this series.
I couldn't stand Lisa in Secret Gifts and she should have been fired then. I was not pleased to have her get her own story and it wasn't good. I liked Jason & loved his nephew but Lisa was still awful. She left her hometown because of a bad reputation and earned & repeated the reputation at Castle Mountain. Not only does she repeatedly hit on guests but she went to the press about a guest in Secret Gifts and wasn't sorry in the least. She implied in this story that she didn't see much wrong with how she went after Gage. This was not a character that deserved her own story nor was she "redeemed" in it. Very disappointing
Lisa had flirted once too often, and now was on a short leash, as far as her employment went. So, when an incredibly hunkie man walked into the child care facility, where she worked, and started to flirt with her, she tried to shut it down quickly. However, mixed messages were given, and then her supervisor picked up on the tension. Again, mixed messages, which seemed a theme, throughout this episode. Don't worry though, the Mountain magic still worked.
Lisa and Jason are two people who really need each other! Lisa is a flirt who continues to get in trouble at work and Jason was betrayed by his fiancé with his cousin when she was killed. Jason comes to check out the Cub Club for his nephew when he meets Lisa. She tries hard to fight the instant attraction and Jason insults her with a one night stand proposition. Jason realizes his mistake, tries to apologize and Lisa tries hard to ignore him until Lisa and Kayden are secluded in a mountain cabin after Kayden falls in the lake. Jason comes to find them and they stay the night. Jason finally opens up about what happened and he is going to finally join the family business even though his cousin works there. Is Lisa ready for a guy who wants to really know her and can Jason finally move on? I really like the Lodge series by Elena Aitken. I would highly recommend this book for everyone!
This is another great book by Elena Aikens and this one I couldn’t put down. I loved all the characters and the way Ms. Aikens develops her characters. You get to know each one of them personally. This story is a great love story about a young women, Lisa, working at the day care center at a mountain lodge who is trying to swear off men after not doing too well in the department. Then a very good looking man, Jason, comes by dropping off his nephew and then begins the fun between the two of them with such chemistry.
It is a great love story with a story of not just the two of them but also the child care center, Jason’s nephew and a little about the lodge. Both Lisa and Jason go through a lot of different emotions before they both realize what is in front of them. Great book and I highly recommended it. My only problem was that it ended and I wanted it to continue!
Castle Mountain Lodge's magic has again led to two people who weren't looking for love to find each other. Lisa has sworn off men, Jason has been burnt by a previous relationship and doesn't trust anyone, but these two can not fight the attraction they feel the minute they meet, even though they try. This story is sweet and has an adorable little boy who helps with the magic.

I liked this book a lot. Lisa has done a complete overhaul of herself, which was nice to see. Jason was good for her. I hope in time, his sister revisits the lodge and Elena explores her a bit. There were some unanswered questions but all in all, this book was a fun, sweet, quick read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Elena has a way when she writes that just lifts your mood and your heart. I will say that I hope to see some marriages in future books. Thanks Elena for continuing to enlighten us with such wonderful reads!
This was an early release read for me. I really liked the characters Lisa and Jason. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, and each time I complete a book, I wonder about the characters in the next one. I agree it was quick, but I still really liked it. I never want her books to end, so this is nothing new for me!! I want to know more about Conrad and also more about Jen. All of these books are really good, and they each leave you wanting to read the next.
The last book of the Castle mountain lodge series features Lisa who runs the daycare program and Jason Porter who is there for a family reunion he's not happy to attend.
His young nephew Kayden is there and Jason meets Lisa when he goes to see what activities are available for Kayden.
Lisa quickly comes to love Kayden and at first she and Jason fight their attraction to each other but circumstances arise with Kayden and they discover they can't fight their attraction.
I loved this story about Lisa & Jason. I loved the fact that Lisa changed her ways. She went from Party girl always flirting with different men to sweet and not interestead in a one night stand. Jason was against falling in love, because he had gotten burned once before. Can these two work out their past, and make love work? To know the answer to that you will need to read this book. Great Job Elena
I liked the storyline as a whole. I enjoyed Jason and all the supporting characters. I was NOT happy with Lisa (the whore from Gage's book) being the female lead. I don't really understand why a person who set out to destroy two other people and disregard direct orders from her boss gets to be the "heroine" in a book. She never even received real punishment for what she did. So I'm not able to give this story my full support.
Lisa Gibbs has been working hard to change her reputation and her life. The last thing she needs is a man. Even one as good looking and funny as Jason Porter. Jason is not looking for anything, especially after the betrayal of his former fiance. One look at Lisa has him all confused and attracted to her as he had never been. I could only wish these stories had an epilogue to tie up the relationship.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I actually have mixed feelings about this book. It is part of the Castle Mountain Lodge series and it is good to hear from characters in the other books. However, the story is too short and I didn't feel like there was enough time spent on the two main characters. It is a sweet romance and I did give this 3 stars.
I was not sure through the series if I liked the character of Lisa or not, but after reading this book I love her. I love her determination to change how people view here and how much she has grown up in this book. Its finally her turn for her happy ending and Jason is just the one to give it to her. Another great trip to the Lodge!!
It just seemed like the last chapter was missing. I know that Elena Aitken does that a lot but this one is even more hating than usual. The ending just didn't resolve hardly anything. Also some of the editing and details were off, just adding to the confusion.
