When therapist Luna Mason uses her grandmother's inheritance to build a wellness center in coastal Seagrove, she's determined to create a haven for healing minds and bodies. At Serenity, she offers a sanctuary where breathing comes easier and new beginnings feel possible. Everything unfolds perfectly until she encounters Archer Hawk, a former golf champion whose career-ending injury has left him bitter and resistant to her methods.
Archer has no patience for "woo-woo" breathing exercises or gentle movement classes. He's spent his life pushing through pain, and one wellness expert won't change that. But when Luna's techniques begin helping his young golf students, Archer reluctantly finds himself drawn to her quiet strength and compassionate heart.
As Luna guides Archer back to the game he loves and he shows her the hidden magic of Seagrove, their professional boundaries begin to blur. Just when they start imagining a future together, a prestigious coaching opportunity in California forces them to question everything. Will Archer choose his lifelong dream, or the woman who taught him to breathe again? And can Luna risk her heart on someone who might leave, when she's finally found a place to call home?
Serenity at Seagrove is a moving story about second chances, the healing power of community, and discovering that sometimes life's detours lead us exactly where we're meant to be.
Hey there! Before I tell you all about myself, can I invite you to join my private Rachel's Readers Facebook group? That's where my readers hang out, discuss my books, participate in giveaways and learn about new releases.
So who am I? My name is Rachel Hanna, and I am a wife, mother of three incredible kids (maybe I am a BIT biased?), two lovable doggies and one cat that lives outside and thinks he owns the world. Okay, I also have a gecko now too. Don't judge me.
I started writing as a young child, and I went into the field of Journalism for many years as an adult. Now, as a romantic fiction writer, I get to live out my own daydreams every single day and share them with readers around the world!
I'm a Southern chick living near Atlanta, so I say "yes, ma'm" and "ya'll", but I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
I’ve followed the characters of Seagrove throughout the series, and although predictable, the books are entertaining and uplifting- always warming my heart. I have listened to all of the books and the narrator changed with this book. I LOVED the original narrator of books 1-11. However, the new narrator is terrible. At first I couldn’t even listen to it and was just going to read it, but I had already paid for the audio version, so I continued. It was hard to listen to for sure! If this new narrator had been the original one, I can guarantee I wouldn’t have even made it through the first book!
Wouldn't have learned that sometimes life's greatest gifts come disguised as setbacks."
This new Seagrove book winds up in such an awesome manner. Two people starting over, one relocating to a town from her childhood and another who stars over after an injury. The way these two come together and help each other is written beautifully. This one may now be one of my favorite Rachel Hanna books. This town of Seagrove is full of people I would love to spend time with and the town itself would be on my bucket list if it were real.
The one thing Rachel Hanna does so well is write about seemingly ordinary people who reach in to help each other at all times. The way this town comes together during a crisis to help, makes this town a favorite for me. If you want to read a cozy small town book with rich caring characters, this one is the one for you.
Another great love story by Rachel. Luna and Archer had a great chemistry but had to deal with their pasts before they could look toward the future. Luna seemed to have it all together but she hid her past heart break well. Archer wasn't afraid to show how angry he was about what happened to him. Luna helped him heal and without knowing it, Archer helped her heal. Loved this book!
DNF for now. I've loved this series and listened to 1st 10 books on HOOPLA, which was narrated by Becky Brabham, but this book is narrated by a different person and I do not like the narration. You don't realize how important the right narrator is until you experience what I feel is an awful narrator after listening to the previous 11 books by great narrator. I am on hold for the book at my library.
8/24/25 - 4.5 stars adjusted to 4 Goodreads stars. Finally got the book from my library. As I write this review a couple days short of reading this, I find myself forgetting the female main character's name and probably the only reason that I remember the male main character's name is that this is the second book that I have read this month with that name (Asher).
SERENITY AT SEAGROVE is the 12th book in the amazing SOUTH CAROLINA SUNSETS SERIES written by RACHEL HANNA. Luna Mason had only been to Seagrove once as a child to visit her grandmother. When her inheritance gives Luna the opportunity to move from Austin, Texas to Seagrove to open her new business, "Serenity at Seagrove", Luna jumps at the chance to use her skills as a psychotherapist. Pieces of Luna's life had fallen apart, her marriage, her plans for a family and her sense of belonging. Her grandmother had said to Luna, "If it made you that happy darling, it must be a special place." Archer Hawk arrives in Seagrove, as a professional golfer who has an issue with his shoulder and not golfing as one of the countries top golfer. Luna and Archer meet each other as well as others from Seagrove. Bookstore owner Julie commented that once you are here in Seagrove, you're family. There are tests and trials for Luna & Archer but, sometimes the bravest thing you can do is to just try something new. The ocean is it's own special medicine.

Serenity at Seagrove is another heartwarming installment in Rachel Hanna’s beloved Seagrove series. This book introduces Luna, a wellness therapist who is not only helping others heal but also navigating her own emotional journey. Set in the comforting coastal town of Seagrove, the story delivers the familiar charm, emotional depth, and feel-good tone that fans of the series love.
I really enjoyed the themes of personal growth, second chances, and the power of community support. Luna was a relatable and likable character, and I appreciated the positive focus on mental health and emotional healing. The setting once again added a peaceful, cozy backdrop that made it easy to get lost in the story.
While the plot was somewhat predictable, it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment. It’s the kind of book that feels like a warm hug—uplifting, easy to connect with, and a reminder of the beauty in fresh starts.
If you’re a fan of emotionally rich, small-town stories with hopeful messages, Serenity at Seagrove is a great choice and another solid addition to the series.
Luna has moved to Seagrove to open a holistic healing center. Archer has an injured shoulder that has knocked him out of the Pro Golf tournaments. He is angry and letting everyone know, even his best friend Dawson. But Luna's exercises and gentle stretching seem to work. Plus Luna captivates his interest. But when his healing brings about a new opportunity far away, what will Archer do? Read this to find out!
The pace is gentle and the tone is hopeful with a character centered storyline that has some kisses but no steamy scenes. The characters are vivid and endearing. You can read this book on its own, but will get much more out of it, if you read the series in order. Enjoy this heartfelt contemporary romance!
4.5⭐️ This book is part of the South Carolina Sunsets series. It centers around Luna and Archer. Luna has moved to Sunset and opened a wellness center. Archer is a former golf champ who has become bitter from a career-ending injury and is trying to push himself to get better. Slowly Archer gets better and is offered a dream job, but it's far away.
This book incorporates heal, with learning how to overcome obstacles and finding what you really want in life. Love how the author has spun this tight knit community into this series and how they all pitch in and help each other. This book makes for a quick easy read and I recommend picking this one up.
I have enjoyed every episode of this series . This episode focuses on two Seagrove residents. Archer was born and raised here but left this tiny town to become a professional golfer. He returns a broken man. After a shoulder injury, golfing is not an option, so he is lost, not knowing who he is without a golf club in his hand. Our next resident is Luna, a newcomer to Seagrove. Heartbroken Luna, a physical therapist comes to Seagrove to open a retreat to help others with injuries get relief. There Archer and Luna meet! I look forward to reading all of Ms. Hanna future stories.
This is the Rachel Hanna I fell in love with...!!!
This book is fantastic and I'm dying for her to write more just as fascinating as this one...!!!
Please Rachel Hanna write tons more books as wonderful as this one...🙏🙏🙏
South Carolina Sunset series is the best series ever with Sweet Tea B&B a close second...!!!
I highly recommend the two series I just mentioned because I know everybody is going to fall in love with these wonderful characters and their storylines...!!!
Great job Rachel well done !!!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the joy this book has brought me ❤️
I loved the characters of Serenity at Seagrove! They seemed to represent so many people that struggle in today’s world! Rachel’s series of South Carolina Sunsets had me hooked from the very first book! I believe I read all 12 books within a month!! I loved the quirky people that lived in the community of Seagrove, creating one big family, always bringing in new arrivals to the community as part of their family. The reader can’t help but be pulled into each book! I highly recommend the entire series! It’s the perfect summer read!!
It was so good to be back in Seagrove. In this latest book, we get to meet two new characters - a therapist and former professional golfer. Julie, Dawson, and the rest of Seagrove are sure to make sure they feel right at home. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of starting over, taking risks, opening up, family, friends, and romance. This might be actually one of my favorite books in this series - it was wonderful!
Serenity at Seagrove (South Carolina Sunsets Book 12) is another good read by Rachel Hanna. It was nice to see some of the other characters show up, including Julie and Dixie. This one was a little too sappy with the woo-woo stuff for me, but that was Luna's character. That the sappiness drove me nuts means that the author nailed it! (I don't like having to walk on eggshells around people, and Luna definitely gave the impression that she needed eggshell-walking in her personal life, though she seemed to be able to turn that off during her sessions with her clients). Definitely recommend this whole series!
Another fast and enjoyable read with the people in Seagrove. This time Luna and Archer find themselves Starting over for a second chance at life and happiness in this town where people and neighbors help Each other. Archer, a golf, pro returns to his home town and Luna is opening a center where people can Heal. Sparks fly as they meet and become acquainted. This is a short book with a heartwarming tale and Satisfying ending. I recommend this series.
Rachel’s best work to date! I read it in just one day- I couldn’t put it down… her vibrant descriptions captivate the reader… you get caught up in the moment right along with the characters… you can feel the warmth of the sunlight… taste Luna’s grandmother’s soothing herbal tea… experience the complications of falling in love…makes you want to book a stay at Serenity…this book was made for tv…
I've read every book in this series so far can't wait for the one to come out. I love the life the have made at Seagrove the town the people everyone helps each other and life is hard sometimes and they find a way to get thought it. Enjoy reading the series it worth getting lost in.
I really love the SC sunsets series. This was book 12 and probably one of the best ones. I loved the chemistry of the two main characters. Even though this story is about Archer and Luna, I loved the way many of the original characters were incorporated into this book. That just added to the whole story and brought it all together. I wish it were longer but it was still a nice read.
This is the 12th book in the South Carolina Sunsets series. They’re always a good, quick read with a sweet story, and this was like the others in that way. I enjoyed this one more than the last few, but it may have been because I took a break from the series. I enjoy that there’s no spice, and it’s basically everyday life with a small bit of drama thrown in.
This was a cute love story in the relaxing setting of Seagrove. I liked Luna, but didn’t find Archer very likable. I appreciated that the author included prior characters that we know and love (Julie, Dawson, Janine, SuAnn, Dixie, etc.) more than in some of the other Seagrove books. I’m impressed this is book #12 in the series!
I have listened to this series, they are quick so got through them quickly. I had a hard time with this one because they changed narrators and this one was tough to listen to. I almost stopped listening but it is the last book in the series so wanted to finish. I found the narrator distracting, not sure why they changed the woman that was doing the other books.
I always have to start by saying Hanna's books are just not long enough for me. But this one being book 12 in this series had the best ending, I was wondering there for a while if this was going to go well. I did enjoy it.
As usual Rachel Hanna has a great book. I have read every single book she has written. Each of these books have a way of you wanting more even before you finish the first book.
This was a great addition to this series! The characters were wonderful and their storyline was the best. I could see everything that was happening! I love this series!
This story is just what I needed at this time in my life. As usual Ms. Hanna does not disappoint. Her characters are perfectly marched, the story flows and makes my heart happy.
This is the last book in the series and it had a happy ending, but not in a way I’d expected. I expected to see an update to the families but instead it was about two newcomers to the island.
I cant believe I listened to the whole series and the last book had a different narrator. Felt like I was listening ti a different series :( I enjoyed this simple series but the last two books too many new characters
Rachel Hanna became one of my favorite Clean romance authors. Her writing is just so amazing! This is the twelfth book of the South Carolina Sunsets series. All her books are great. I will never get tired of reading her books. NEVER LOL :)
Continuing story of Seagrove. A new person comes to town and opens a therapy/yoga healing facility. All the other characters are in this story. It may be predictable but it is a nice book to read after reading a heavy book. I did enjoy the story
It was kinda slow going in the beginning because it was new characters but then it took off and hooked me. Making me staying up to 2am reading. Good book
