It is unfortunate that Goodreads does not list the omnibus for that is how I read these as one large book. So that is how I will be offering my feelings of this series.
First of I will say that book one is obviously a novella. Having said that it does what it was intending to do and that is introduce you to this marvelous world the Craig has made and an idea of what was wrong with it.
I had read in some of the other critiques that these books were meant for young adults I honestly enjoyed them. The plot was complex. The growth of the main character could go one way or the other through then entire book and you never knew which way. The fighting was well played out with not the good guy always winning but a flicker of hope still remained. For a teen this book is an excellent coming of age book to read. And even for adults, I see no reason why we cannot not enjoy the depth and growth within, for we are always charged with this type of charge every day in our lives.
I have enjoyed each and every one of these book and glad that I got them all at once and it is my hope that for any age you will find the courage that I found through these pages.
Damn this series is so awesome and so full of action, it's nearly coming to end and our hero's are no nearer to Beating their nemesis High Priestess Selene and her minions, Nath Dragon and his companions continue to fight the evil that is destroying the their world, but this time he can not win and only by his surrender to Selene, he thinks it's the only way to save his friends, but in doing this his friends feel truly lost, will his true dragon form finally emerge or will he fall to the darkness that he has been fighting for the last few years, Selene is cunning and she knows how to slowly but surely get her way, there is a fantastic fight scene and a great ending to the book, wow only two left to go, great pacing and setting, you real feel the loss of some of the characters after following them for so long, a brilliant read for all ages, Lee Alan has continuesly given it all for this series, highly recommend...😁🐲⚔☠🪓
My 14 year old son has been loving this series. This book gets pretty intense as Nath works to stop the mining of the magical crystals. He discovers there are more dark dragons than he thought, which leads to more conflict. This is a great series for middle grade and up that loves fantasy, action and of course dragons. Although there are fighting scenes they are not gory in detail, the language remains clean and very little romance.
The narrator does a great job with the characters voices and is entertaining to listen to.

Fight And The Fury - Book 8 - The Chronicles of Dragon
Finally this is a worthy story from the author. I know him from another series and I had to wait until this book to see him at his best. Nath Dragon goes about fighting evil, along with his friends. But this time he can not win and only by his surrender to Selene will the true dragon emerge. Selene is cunning and she knows how to slowly but surely get her way. A fantastic fight scene and a great ending of the story!! Now on to book 9! I hope the writing stays at this level. Kathy Barber Doyle - 6/18/2018
The chronicles of dragon Format: audiobook Narrator: Lee Alan This narrator has a good voice, easy to listen to and good delivery. He suits this series.
Bk 8: Fight and the Fury A surprising old friend reappears in this one and Nath appears to be making a habit of getting eaten. There seem to be a lot of waiting in this one so not a lot was happening which made it drag a little but still a good listen/read.
Hard to beleive there are only 2 more books left in the series. I have to say I enjoyed this book the best and can not wait to see where Craig takes of next with Nath Dragon.
