When Shadows Stir
Tall, proud and handsome male lead, Brogan Kavenagh, grew up fast and hard. Determined to defend the disgraced Kavenagh name, his refusal to back down earned him the reputation of a brawler. However, despite his rough and rowdy ways, Brogan met and married the love of his life, Maggie. A strong female lead who stands by her man, there are no holds barred when her husband is framed for murder.
Brogan has no choice but to run for his life, and is shot by the sheriff during the manhunt that follows. In an unexpected stroke of good fortune he meets Tilda Loughty, a spirited young woman who saves his life.
But perjuring witnesses and the gallows await. How can he possibly prove his innocence in this historical romantic suspense set in beautiful Eastern Canada.
Editorial Review from Susan Davis
Brogan Kavenagh, his wife, Maggie, and his son, Luke lived two miles outside of town on a small farm with a nice property of forest behind them. The whole family kept busy with outside and inside chores until Jedediah Burk murdered his uncle and blamed Brogan for it.
This Historical Suspense Romance story yanks the family apart, leaving Brogan on the run and Maggie on her own with Luke and the farm. Their trusting relationship has depth but the challenges wreak havoc in every chapter, and it’s tough if you can’t jump into the next chapter to find out what happens next. There’s danger lurking and complications – murder and mayhem.
The characters and their story will definitely continue running in your mind like a movie and you will want to read the next book (I definitely do).

Review received from Joan Hall Hovey, best-selling author of The Deepest Dark, Chill Waters and more:
"Eden is a prolific author and I've read all her books, each one a terrific read. When Shadows Stir doesn't disappoint. Wonderful characters, from villain to hero and in the end, an unlikely heroine. The suspense is nail-biting right up until the last page. It's about more than that, though; When Shadows Stir is about love and caring and 'truth to power'. Do yourself a favor. Get the book."
