10/10!!! I absolutely LOVED this book. It’s a clean, sci-fi and fantasy, dystopian adventure. I have teenage boys and I have a difficult time finding books that have male protagonists saving the day.
We want our boys to read books that they can imagine themselves as the characters: strong male lead characters, saving the day, learning and growing to be better. This book is PERFECT and written just for boys by a male who understands boys, as he was once was a little boy searching for adventures.

The world the author created is truly incredible! My boys couldn’t put the book down. They audibly gasped and laughed throughout their read. It was such an enjoyable adventure for them. They couldn’t believe the twists and surprises and cannot wait until the next book comes out in the fall.

My daughter and I also loved it! She loved the Princess. I do think girls will enjoy this as well.

I will be sharing this with all of my friends, as I enjoyed this book, and those with kids, especially boys!

I received this book as a gift. It’s an outstanding, action-packed adventure for young men (although many girls may enjoy it as well!) The story is clean (no bad language, no sexual content, no gay/trans characters); it’s full of courageous characters who learn to work together and it has a strong male lead—very much a hero’s journey. The setting was fun and exciting! Other unusual characters in the story kept it interesting! Parents can feel confident in this being a safe read for their teens—a hard thing to find in most modern YA books. Book 2 is due out in fall of 2025 and I can’t wait to read what happens next!

Cloudfall 😎

I think that should be the title but anyway review time. This was an intense book. A lot sacrifices were made in some crazy details. But one thing it was entertaining. One thing I found interesting is its setting. I’ve read book with an understanding dystopia. It’s fun to see the reverse. But I also love the daunting feeling of what’s below the skies.
Though I will say I think the chancellor could have easily ended the story so fast. Like seriously it was right there. Even if a certain event did play out I think he would have won.
Anyway, love the tease at the end at something else. There’s a lot more in this world and it’s not in the sky.

It’s definitely geared toward teenage boys, but I genuinely loved this book! Interesting characters, boys that act like boys and girls that act like girls. The setting is a dystopian-type city in the sky, and the world building is engaging without being too complicated or weighed down with unnecessary details. Super interested in how the next book will play out!

Loved this! I’ve got three boys, my older two loved this book! Ages 7 and 13. It’s hard to find something both of them would like for family reading nights. Loved how clean it was but the overall writing was quite inedible!!! I found it enjoyable myself as well.

I loved this book from start to finish! It kept me engaged and entertained the whole time! I don’t want to give any spoilers but the author created a really fun world to explore as the reader. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. I would 10/10 recommend to everyone I know!
