Dragonis Academy #3

Progeny of the Cursed Egg

Survival isn't a subject you can study—it's one you have to live."

Year three at Dragonis Academy was supposed to be manageable. I'd survived two years of brutal competition, backstabbing classmates, and professors who'd rather see me dead than graduate.

I even have Klauth by my side now—who just happens to be an ancient dragon king. The universe has a sick sense of humor when it comes to my life.

The black cursed egg I've been carrying since last semester pulses with dark energy. Thauglor teaches me everything he can while he's imprisoned. Meanwhile, my father's agents lurk in every shadow, and now the headmaster himself appears to be playing a deadlier game than I realized.

Two gauntlets stand between me and survival this year. The tri-yearly purge is approaching—a sanctioned bloodbath where the student body "weeds out the weak." Then there are the war games, where failure means more than just academic probation.

Oh, and did I mention I'm apparently supposed to become Klauth's queen now? For my "protection," of course. Because nothing says safe, like painting an even bigger target on my back.

Between uncovering a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of the academy, protecting a cursed egg, and trying not to die on a daily basis. This year is going to be my breaking point... or my crowning moment.

"They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. At Dragonis Academy, what doesn't kill you just tries harder tomorrow."

Like the concepts and story, some of the writing could be better

I do enjoy the storyline and plot, I love the concepts of the world building. But I miss good editing and writing. And that's without touching on the fact that the main character is described as being a genius at literally everything except handwriting with the only reasoning being trauma (as if that typically encourages people to excel)

Little things like the descriptions of scent. Please, please stop. Every single time someone's sec t is mentioned, it has to be described, and each time it will include something 'uniquely them'. It'll happen a few times in the chapter. Just saw the room smells like the person and don't describe it. Or say the lavender honey smell welcomes you home - you put enough emphasis on it that we know that's Mina.
Not in the prior books, but certainly in this one there have been a few times the words in a sentence got mixed around and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Some things don't line up - the beginning of the first book had mates being rare, then everyone got mated with not just the named characters but also classes being held for mated dragons. We're told that Abraxis's parents were an arranged betrothal, but later they describe them as mates. For others, Mina was hanging out in a tree and her hair was described as copper. The sizes of eggs change and not just based on the form of the female when passing them. Mina's mother being abused and imprisoned with no dragon powers, but a throwaway line that her mother wouldn't give her father any more children after seeing what he did to Mina - that implies a choice where everything else doesn't.

Having a more rigorous process before publishing, including editing and readers, would provide a more enjoyable read.

So good..
I get to the epilogue, and I'm like, no, I want more.
It's Year 3 at Dragonis Academy. Klauth, the ancient dragon king and one of cursed eggs, is now by Mina's side.
Two gauntlets stand between Mina and survival this year. The tri-yearly purge is approaching—a sanctioned bloodbath where the student body "weeds out the weak." Then there are the war games, where failure means more than just academic probation.
I loved the comedic scenes between Klauth, Thauglor (or his egg), and Mina. My heart hurt so many times for Abraxis in this story.
I can't wait for the conclusion.
Thank you for choosing me to be an ARC Reader.

This series has everything that I love!
💙 A strong, badass FMC
💙Great plot in an academy setting
💙Slow growing reverse harem (love when we get to see the dynamics of adding mates)
💙Dragons 🐉 and other mythical creatures

This series is so much fun to read and this book was a great addition. I love a plot that moves quickly and keeps you on your toes. There were a few moments where I felt the timeline jumped weird and we as readers didn’t have all the context needed. However, there weren’t many and I don’t think it detracted from the overall story.

The only other thing I was a bit disappointed about was that I felt Vaughn and Callen didn’t play a large roll in this book. It is probably very difficult to give equal time to all 9 main characters but I do wish these two, especially Vaughn, didn’t seem so much like an afterthought.

Overall, I loved this book and highly recommend this series to anyone who loves paranormal academy romance with a badass FMC.

Avoiding spoilers let me just say there is some serious karma for several of the enemies at all levels, and it was satisfying! More of Mina’s visions, and a similar feel in progression of events to Klauth’s hatching, as we meet Thauglor. More emotional rides as her sister has hatchlings (which gives us more of an understanding of the basilisks too), as well as the distress of an injured mate, and the continual stress of just surviving when so many are out to get Mina and her mates.

So much more to learn about her and dragons in general, and just so much happens in this book that I could barely put it down, next to read is the novella Thauglor while I eagerly await book 4 in the series.

You can't study something like survival it's not a subject – survival is just something you have to live.

Year three at Dragonis Academy was the year that was supposed to be manageable. Mina had survived two years of brutal competitions, classmates who had no problem backstabbing others, and professors who would rather see her dead than graduate.

Mina even has Klauth by her side now – Klauth a man who just happens to be an ancient dragon King. Mina likes to think that the universe has a sick sense of humour when it comes to her life.

Then there's the black cursed egg that Mina has been carrying since the last semester, it pulses with dark energy. Thauglor is teaching Mina everything he can all while he's imprisoned.

While Mina and her mates traverse the treachery of Mina's third year at Dragonis Academy, her father's agents continue to lurk in all the shadows around her, and suddenly the headmaster himself appears to now be playing a deadlier game than she had first realized.

Now only two gauntlets stand between Mina and surviving her third year. Mina now has to face the tri-yearly purge and it is quickly approaching – it's a sanctioned bloodbath where the student body “weeds out the weak.” Then she'll have to face the war games, and failing the war games will mean much more than just academic probation.

And for Mina, if that's not enough, she's learned that she's supposed to become Klauth's Queen. Of course, now he says that it's just for her “protection”. Mina just thinks that's funny because becoming Queen just paints an even bigger target on her back.

So between uncovering this conspiracy that is reaching the highest levels of the academy, Mina has to protect a cursed egg, she has to stay alive on a daily basis, Mina realizes that this year is going to be her breaking point... or it might just be her very crowning moment.

"They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. At Dragonis Academy, what doesn't kill you just tries harder tomorrow."

Progeny of the Cursed Egg is Year 3 in The Dragonis Academy Series by Serenity Rayne. I have been greatly enjoying Serenity Rayne's writing and this is the 2nd series of hers that I have been reading and I have been loving.

For Mina the third year of Dragonis Academy is presenting some deadly challenges, including gruelling gauntlets, enemies, not to mention the fact that she has a rather large harem to manage, and she has to figure out how to master her powers. Klauth is now emerging as a new pivotal figure within the nest, he has managed to provide the necessary balance and he's asserting dominance when it's required. Klauth's presence is particularly significant as he's addressing the imbalance that has been caused by Mina's own dominant nature, this ensures her own sense of security within the nest. Klauth can challenge Mina and assert his dominance and honestly, this really established him as one of my all-time favourite mates that Mina has.

Abraxis, is a formidable Drake, he grapples with his own insecurities, and this is made worse by Mina's dominant dragoness. He realizes that he needs to concede to Klauth, Abraxis does manage to make strides in working on himself but more than that he can work on repairing his relationship with Mina and he does this with Klauth's support.

I spent the better part of this book stressed out, Mina was always facing a new threat, she was always trying to protect one of her mates and get a grip on her powers, and understand those powers. And yet, despite all these threats and challenges, Mina manages to strategically eliminate her enemies. This perfectly sets up the stage for what will be the final confrontation between Mina, her father, and her father's minions.

I have to say that the best parts of this book were the grand reunion between Thauglor and Klauth. Now I am so excited to read Thauglor's backstory. I want to see what he's going to offer not only to Mina's nest and to her mates but I want to see what he has to offer to Mina herself. And as an Ancient Drake, the closest friend and ally to Klauth, we are going to get some amazing battles in what is to be the final book and I can't wait to read it because I know it's just going to be phenomenal.

I can see the old school Drake to show and teach Mina's younger mates a few things and show them how they used to handle things back in the good old days.

If you haven't started this series yet, and you are a fan of shifters, found family, secret royal, and no bullying, then get on this series as you are going to love each and every one of these books.

Book tropes, spice, steam, specs, etc., listed at the bottom

👍🏻 This book was so much better than the previous installments! Mina is back at Draconis Academy for her third year. This time, she has Klauth at her side—an ancient and dominant Great Wyrm Red Dragon who was once High King over the continent. Will Abraxis continue to hold his position as dominant drake (leader) of the nest, or will Klauth usurp his role? What happens when Klauth reclaims his title as King? And what’s going on with the black cursed egg? When Thauglor finally hatches, Mina will suddenly have two ancient and dominant Great Wyrm drakes in her nest. There’s a lot happening in this third book.

👉 There are still a lot of inconsistencies in the storytelling, but luckily, they’re less overt and easier to ignore this time around. The guys are finally getting some much-needed personality and individuality, but some of them still feel like the same person. However, Klauth, Thauglor, Abraxis, and Balor all have distinct personalities, so that's progress.

👎 I'm still pretty confused about a lot of things. The author continues to throw a bunch of ideas together that clash, or aren't fully explained, or just don't make sense. For instance, Klauth is the High King again—but apparently, there’s still a council that rules? And the council may or may not have more power than the King. I'm just not sure. However, Klauth can still change laws and make changes without the council involved....but apparently the council has the authority to kill them or change history or do whatever they want no matter what Klauth says? It's all pretty confusing and not at all explained.

Anyways, this series improves with each book, and I'm glad I stuck around, even when it was hard to push through the earlier ones.

Where do I even begin. This instalment was a lot, to say the least.

Mina and her mates are challenged constantly throughout this book. With Klauth finally hatching and entering into a somewhat established nest, war games, purges, enemies at every turn and so much more, it was a lot for them all, and it weighed heavily on Mina.

I was a little angry at Mina, Abraxis, and Klauth for some of this book. The reason why is because due to the breakdown of communication and jealousy, things kind of went pear shaped to say the least and I really think a lot of it could have been avoided with better communication, especially between Mina and Abraxis. Poor Abraxis, he is an amazing mate and drake to Mina, but he really struggles with his insecurities. However, i really believe we will see an even more amazing Abraxis in the next book. I think Klauth entering the nest was exactly what they all needed. He is a strong but calming presence that was definitely appreciated, and I enjoyed reading this version of Klauth, especially the banter between him and Thauglor.

Mina is trying to grasp that she is a very powerful dragoness with what seems to be unique and unlimited power. I truly can't wait to see how it all plays out because i know it will be incredible.

I'm excited about the final book within this series. It's going to be insane!!!

Thank you so much, Serenity and Meg, for the opportunity to read this story. I am forever grateful to be a part of Serenity's ARC Team 🙏

Klauth is here. It was interesting seeing him join the nest. The dynamics changed, and there were a lot of challenges. I figured Abraxis would have trouble (at least in the beginning), but I'm surprised by Mina. Before Klauth hatched, Mina was so sure about her nest; now she feels a little lost. As for Abraxis, he's not the only dragon anymore, and worse yet, Klauth is older and more powerful. It was hard seeing Abraxis struggle. This wasn't a little problem, and it was fixed over a few chapters. Serenity was very realistic with the relationship struggles and the steps they took to help heal them. On a better note, Ziggy! He's my favorite in this one. I loved his big puppy energy, and it really came out to play in this one.

I knew from the beginning that Lysander was a snake, and I am not talking about his basilisk, but I never saw him as a real threat. Boy, was I wrong. When Lysander's big plan was revealed, I had to admit I was a little surprised. It makes me wonder how long this plan has been in play. Mina's bio dad wasn't in this book, but his presence is very much felt. I hate Mina's father even more than before, and I didn’t think that was possible. I really enjoyed this book. The action scenes were incredible; I'm talking about movie-level quality, which is only better. Instead of one big reveal or twist, there were smaller reveals that could change the direction of things at any given moment.

Progeny of the Cursed Egg was awesome and kept me on my toes. I can't wait to see the final showdown between Mina and her father, but first there's Thauglor's book, which I'm also looking forward to reading.

The third year at Dragonis Academy presents deadly challenges for Mina, including grueling gauntlets, enemies, managing a large harem, and mastering her powers. Klauth emerges as a pivotal figure within the nest, providing necessary balance and asserting dominance when required. His presence is particularly significant as he addresses the imbalance caused by Mina's dominant nature, thereby ensuring her sense of security within the nest. Klauth's ability to challenge Mina and assert his dominance quickly establishes him as one of my favorite mates for Mina.

Abraxis, a formidable Drake, grapples with insecurities, which are exacerbated by Mina's dominant dragoness. Recognizing the need to concede to Klauth, Abraxis makes strides toward working on himself as well as repairing his bond with Mina, with Klauth's support.

This book stressed me out, with Mina constantly facing threats, trying to protect the ones she loves and understand her ever evolving powers. Despite these challenges, she strategically eliminates her enemies, setting the stage for a final confrontation with her father and his minions.

The highlight of this book was the reunion between Thauglor and Klauth. I can’t wait to read Thauglor’s backstory and see what he brings to Mina’s nest. Being an Ancient Drake and closest friend and ally to Klauth is bound to lead to some amazing battle scenes in the final book and I am here for it.

It’s time for these old school Drakes to show these younglings how they used to handle things back in their day.

Do you like asmr then this book is for you. I loved the storyline of this book but there was a few times I had to ever skip paragraphs or even pages or just put the book down and walk away and it was all because of the over describing of every footstep, every touch, every breath or even just a wave of a hand. And not just the sound but the feeling as well. It was something like.
I took one step and the cold from the ground was seeping through my boots mixing with my warmth of my body heat. My leather was contracting with my breath which sounds like the crinkle of paper.
I’m no writer but every single page was like that(just written better and with a heap more descriptors). On top of that it was always describing the smell constantly and from one page to the next even if they are in the same scene they would smell different even if the characters weren’t doing anything.
Another thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t address what happened to Vaughn or what they are doing to help him or if he is completely stone until they find the emulate until about 60% in the book. I thought he was fully written off until then. I also felt she favoured mates over others and it just annoyed me.
So to sum it up. There is way too much description of sound, smell and touch and not enough description of the world around the characters and what they are feeling. Also I feel that there was to many why chapters. Why did you put this in? How is this chapter going to help anything in the book’s future? Just generally why chapters.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

ARC Review:

Where do I even start…

With Klauth having hatched the whole nest dynamic changes and new challenges arise like we all knew they would. All of her mates struggle in one way or another but Abraxis has it the worst he is no longer the dragon in charge which is hard for him, but he does work on bettering himself for the good of himself, Mina and the nest.

Listen just when we think we might finally catch a bit of a break from the big bads… nope that won’t happen because Lysander strikes which just can’t Mina and her nest be happy for like 2 minutes… apparently not. We find out the big bad plan from her father and we find out that they have more people inside the school working with/ for him.

We see Thaglour come to the rescue which I think is going to shake up the nest dynamics even more… just when I thought I couldn’t be anymore hooked on this series it ends and now I’m in withdrawal needing more from needing to see what is on the horizon for these characters. Also side note I don’t think I could love Ziggy anymore then I do now he is by far my favorite Mina mate. But I do have to say I love them all in their own ways.

Another special mention is the banter in this book it was chefs kiss I ate it up.

Thank you so much to Serenity and Meg that I was able to get an ARC read of this book and I will forever be grateful to be part of Serenity’s ARC team!

Year three for Mina at the academy poses more risk and danger by the day. You’d think she’d be a pro after two years of sheer survival, especially with Klauth, the recently hatched cursed dragon from her first cursed egg, at her side, but the universe has other plans. Mina has the fate of her unbalanced nest, classes, Thauglor’s unhatched egg, the regular gauntlets, tri-yearly purge, and her top enemies including her father to juggle and contend with and perhaps more enemies lurking in the shadows than she knows. Can Mina survive it all and be queen or will she parish while trying?
This book stands well on its own if you’ve just discovered the series, but for context you may want to go back and read from the beginning (and why not, the series is good). Seven current mates with an eighth on the way would be hard to manage and it’s interesting to see the power dynamic and banter with each, especially with Klauth and Abraxis the ancient dragon and her first mate. The struggle and stress Mina carries with her bleeds through the pages as each new threat emerges but it’s wonderful to see her found family’s bonding and helping her each step of the way as she develops beyond what her father had trained her to be. The action and suspense are really page turning!
Thank you for choosing me to be an ARC Reader.

Her power grows and so do her enemies

So in this book We find more and more enemies everywhere we look. We also discover that a lot of the things that are done nowadays are not the same as they were Klauth cloth and Thauglor were around before. What or who caused these changes that are so detrimental to the females?

A lot of things happen in this book. A lot of history is revealed as well as the fact that Klauth has hatched and its time for him to regain his rightful titles and lands.

We also discover more about Mina and her abilities since bonding Klauth. The mate group also struggles with settling and handling Mina's heats. With new babies appearing in the land she is starting to feel the need to have her own clutch but knowing how much danger she still is in she has to hold off on it.

Come discover the forces working to take out or use Mina for their own gains. They will even offer her options though none of them will be good. Thankfully they already had an idea of this and knew Thauglor would be joint them.

So much has changed for the academy and the surrounding lands. Many battles are fought and injuries are seen. The question still is what about her father? How will they finally take him and all if the corruption down? I can't wait to see what's next.

I was gifted an ARC by Literary Inspired. Please don't think receiving an ARC affected my review. I love this series and have preordered all the books in the series. So, even though I have an ARC, this book will drop in my library on release day.

Now, on to the review. This book was so good! There was so much packed into book 4. Relationship building, enemies moved off the board, a new mate, and Mina building her nest as the most powerful dragoness in the area. I enjoyed Mina finding more of herself and deciding she doesn't want to follow the path her father molded her for. Thauglor makes his appearance and I cannot wait until October to dive into his back story. For those of you who dislike cliffhangers, there isn't one in this book. It does leave you wanting more though, as every fantastic series should.

Add this to your TBR or just dive in and preorder it. This series continues to get more amazing with each book!

This is a fantastic World and Serenity has done a great job of building it with tons of action and thoughtful plotting. My favorite section showed how Abraxis was able to recover faster because Klauth asked favors of time from older dragons. (neat concept). I loved how all the mates worked together to be team Mina! As her powers grow the final chapters are going to epic!

Baylor was the champion in this book. His fight with Lysander had me cheering out loud. I was caught by surprise how evil Lysander could be and to find out other professors were involved in Minas downfall.

The only thing that bothered me was when Minas sister wanted her to come see her in the blastick hide. Her babies hatched and 4 were blastick and 1 had dragon features. Poor baby has a fight in the future if it makes it. Anyway the sister didn't really talk to Mina about anything important. Maybe that will be in later books.

Mina becomes Queen and has a wonderful ceremony.

Last but not least..the black egg has hatched! The mating scene between Mina, Klauth and Thauglor was rather steamy.

I highly recommend this book and series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book even more than the first. First, Klauth is here and with him being an ancient, it stirs up trouble in the nest. Second, Mina has evolved as a character although I saw some reviews that she came off weaker. I don't think she is weak at all, I think having the right people around her has given her the freedom to be vulnerable. It has been her against the world for so long that now she has most of her mates, she can let herself breathe and let go of the reins some (she is still just as fierce and needs control).

Summary of main characters:
Mina - FMC, green and iron dragon.
Abraxis - MMC, black and red dragon.
Klauth - MMC, ancient great wyrm red dragon.
Balor - MMC, basilisk
Zigmander (Ziggy) - MMC, displacer beast
Leander - MMC, nightmare
Vaughn - MMC, gargoyle
Callan - MMC, gryphon

I don't usually care for a large harem because it feels like we lose some of the characters in the story. Honestly, Vaughn and Callan have the least visibility in this book and don't feel relevant to the story or necessary in Mina's nest. I look forward to the next book to get to know Thauglor more.

I think what I might love most about this book, is how it shows all the complexities of navigating a life with one woman and a whole bunch of men who all want her attention. I don’t mean this in a bad way, most of them are very respectful of sharing, but there are only so many hours in a day. With all of them having other responsibilities as well and dangers to navigate, tension seams unavoidable. And I like the fact this book shows that: it shows the work it takes to make this relationship work. It even shows the moments people mess up, but also how they grow and learn from it and accept each others help. It’s an amazing thing to read.

On top of all that, Mina has a busy life. There is school, becoming a queen, navigating threats and premonitions, learning about her powers, looking after family, … I admire the way she juggles it all, but also how supportive those men in her life are. This is why I read romance books; to dream about men willing to burn the world down if it makes their woman safer. I’m already curious to find out what will come next for all of them!

Dragons 🐉 and other mythical creatures

it's Year 3 at Dragonis Academy. Klauth, the ancient dragon king and one of cursed eggs, is now by Mina's side. Two gauntlets stand between Mina and survival this year. The tri-yearly purge is approaching—a sanctioned bloodbath where the student body "weeds out the weak." Then there are the war games, where failure means more than just academic probation.I felt Vaughn and Callen didn’t play a large roll in this book. Though I'm sure it's hard to give equal time to all 9 main characters. I loved the book though and cannot wait for Year 4!!!! This year takes you back to the academy so you can hang out with your friends that you've made. Their latest adventure will have you at the edge of your seat. This book is a must read and needs to be added to your TBR you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely loved this book

And I absolutely love the series and I’m super sad that I don’t have the last two books for it. November seems super far away.

Mina and her mates took out some threats to her in this book and it was great to see. But we still have the biggest one of them all lingering. Not only that you have to wonder if two of her mates pasts are gonna come back and haunt them in the next book as well.

I will say the other thing I really am sad about is I feel like we didn’t get much information on a couple of their past or their life in general. I’m someone who takes notes while reading a book series that’s not finished or even if it is just so that if I’d go back and read it, I can see if I missed anything. And I just don’t have a lot for I think like four of her guys. So hopefully we get more about their lives in their pasts.

But in all honesty, I really can’t wait till November to read the conclusion to this. I also can’t wait for the second GEN series that she has been teasing.

Progeny of the Cursed Egg by Serenity Rayne is an imaginative and engaging fantasy read. The concept of the cursed egg immediately pulled me in, and the world-building was rich with magic, danger, and mystery. I especially enjoyed how the story balanced action with quieter character-driven moments, which made the protagonist feel layered and relatable. The supporting cast added depth as well, with relationships that felt authentic and gave the story real emotional weight.

While I thoroughly enjoyed it, there were a few parts that slowed the pacing—mainly sections of heavy description or world-building that interrupted the flow. I also wished some of the lore and side threads were expanded on, as they felt intriguing but not fully explored. The ending tied things up well, though certain revelations didn’t land as strongly as I had hoped.

Overall, this is a strong fantasy novel with a unique premise, a compelling main character, and a mix of tension and heart. I highly recommend it to fans of magical curses, dark twists, and stories with both danger and hope.

Your nest is almost complete but still feels unsettled, you’re being hunted by your enemies, and you’re entering your third year at Dragonis Academy. Do you submit to forces trying to crush you or come out on the other side harder than steel?

Progeny of the Cursed Egg continues to follow Mina and her nest as they face new dangers, shifting dynamics, and deciding when to announce to the world Klauth has awoken.

This piece of their story is exciting, heart wrenching, and full of tension. However, the tension isn’t always the kind you have come to expect with Mina and her mates. As more mates emerge, the dynamics of the nest are threatened and Mina is forced to carry more on her shoulders as the nest grows.

Her mates must learn to how to grow and work with each other, and at times, the emotions they go through will have you feeling every one of them. They each shoulder new burdens, new doubts, and stronger connections as the danger grows.

Come join Mina for year 3 at Dragonis academy and experience epic battles, deadly gauntlets, and a story you won’t forget.

Another great book in this series! I'm really enjoying Mina's story with her mates. The plot is always keeping me intrigued and invested in all the characters, the pacing feels just right and love the twists and turns of the plot. Within this book, we finally get to meet Thauglor as the last mate for Mina and immediately I love him by looks and personality! Mina definitely has her hands full with three drakes who have dominant personalities! I really enjoy the relationship between Klauth and Thauglor; it's great to see them reunited after the glimpse of their history together in Klauth's novella. Excited for the next book already!

I really recommend this series if you've been on the fence about it. It has variety of species within the main harem, the plot has plenty of action and relationship development to keep you invested and the world building and characters is really well fleshed out to keep you interested.

Progeny of the Cursed egg is book four in the Dragonis Academy series. It is a paranormal, shifter, why choose, academy, fated mates romance with danger, action, spice, and so much more.

This series has quickly become one of my favorites and has had me on pins and needles waiting to see what will happen next, and I must say, this book delivers. I loved the danger and action, as well as the relationship hurdles and the leaps and bounds that Mina makes as a character. I also love her mates and their struggles and triumphs with keeping Mina safe.

This was a terrific read with amazing characters, storytelling, writing, pace, flow, and plot. The character development, relationship development, storyline, and world building are also just as amazing. If you enjoy the above tropes, fantasy characters, and bada$$ FMC's then I'd absolutely recommend this book and series.

I love this series. The academy setting was originally what drew me in but amazing characters, a dynamic world and plot twists have kept me coming back for more.

Now that Mina has Klauth buly her side, you think things would be easier but they are not. The games and challenges continue. Would we exoect anything else at Dragonis Academy?

Mina is dealing with enemies all around her and gauntlets. Life just isnt easy at the academy. Meanwhile, she also needs to hone her powers. Mina is a fearless FMC. She is dedicated to the ones she loves.

Watching Abraxis sttuggle brought all the emotions. Watching him learn amd grow was good to see. While he may nit bebthe dragon in charge, he has a lot to offer still.

This book was a 4 out of 5 stars read for me. I csnt wait to see what is coming.

So much has been discovered with Klauth's hatching in the last book. He brought a lot of history and how things originally were. With how the women were treated back then and now is a huge difference. So wondering how that happened and who caused it or if it was a lack of understanding for traditions.

I feel that Klauth brought some much needed guidance and wisdom to the dynamic with Mina, Abraxis, and the others. I think maybe its become a bit much though. Mina is now dealing with her new abilities, wanting babies, and being in constant danger. So much drama!!

At 600 pages, this book is a doozy. With so much going on, for me it got to hectic. The ending did put things back together. However, I was still left feeling a bit overwhelmed. Its a lot but I adore the writing!! I think I found one of my new favorite authors!

I absolutely love this world Serenity has created!!! This book as always left me wanting more!!! Mina’s nest isn’t quite settled and they all need to work together to get that accomplished. It’s like every time she turns around someone is trying to take out her or her mates. Also can I just say I love Ziggy. Just had to add that in here. He brings a lightness to the group that they so desperately need. Klauth is a lot more calm than I thought he would be and he’s super knowledgeable about things that have changed and shouldn’t be the way they are now, this book was amazing and super hard to write about without putting spoilers lol. I would give it 10 stars if I could and I can’t wait for the next book!!!

And it continues

Man, what a wild ride this book was. Bonds grow and change between Mina and her mates. Good things and bad happen on this book that do help our characters grow and make the necessary changes for the better of the nest. It definitely wasn’t easy getting there but you see the efforts made. Sometimes you just need a close call or a swift kick in the behind to make that change. This book does move at a quick pace because of the time frame that it covers and I do admit that I would sometimes forget or have to double check if there was a time jump. I’m excited to read what’s next for this group. I really do like this world a lot and have enjoyed my time reading it so far. I’ll be sad but also excited when we get to the end.

Mina and her mates go through a lot personal growth, and I'm here for it. Serenity has done a fantastic job of weaving a life like story, including all the struggles a harem may have with the mixture of the different personalities.

The struggles Abraxis faces in this book will make your heart hurt, and will make you want to cheer him on. Mina herself learns some painful things about herself, that you can't help but root for her.

The action and spice are exactly what I would expect from this author, and this series has remained one of my favorite by her. The addition of Thauglor and Klauth bring about changes to her nest she wasn't prepared for, I think.

I absolutely can't wait for the next book!!
