I feel like I have BEEN WAITING FOREVER for Scottie’s book after meeting her, and I am SO EXCITED to be FINALLY reading her story!
I already knew that Scottie was a POWERHOUSE and was a BOSS ASS BITCH especially for the fact that she RUNS HER OWN DAMN COMPANY! But to be able to see more of her and her ambitions, where she came from, and everything in between was SUCH A DELIGHT. Let’s not forget that she is a Crawford, so of course she would have had to be surrounded by all of her brothers her entire life, and NO WONDER she is who she is today. With that being said, she never would have expected THE Jason Tate to walk through her door, that’s for sure *smirk*.
Jason, Jason, Jason… WHAT A BROODING SWEETHEART. UGH. He was HI KEY Golden Retriever energy even though he gave off the “do not mess with me” vibes. Which, OF COURSE is the BEST TYPE of vibes because there is a CUDDLY ASS TEDDY BEAR beneath it all! And Jason is JUST THAT! He is charming, caring, and when it comes to Scottie he is HEAD OVER HEELS ALREADY ALL IN AND “I WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE WITH THIS WOMAN” from the GET. GO.
This was SUCH A FUN and heart warming read with all the laughs, emotions and “scary big brother” energy if anyone hurts the Crawford’s little and ONLY sister. Not to mention that both of them discovered what they were missing in each other not only in their personal, but their work lives as well, WHICH MADE THIS SO MUCH BETTER. And we can’t forget their chemistry with one another. HOT DAMN! I am so excited to see where the remainder of this series goes, and I can’t wait to get back into the Crawford Family action!
Scottie Crawford, a driven Olympian turned top-tier physical therapist, is all business until Jason Tate walks back into her life. As her brother’s best friend and the injured NHL team captain, Jason becomes Scottie’s newest rehab challenge. She’s determined to keep things professional, but Jason’s charm, flirty persistence, and their sharp witted banter make that nearly impossible. The chemistry crackles, and their push-pull dynamic is full of tension and heat. Aaron Shedlock and Eliza Summers are fantastic in the audiobook, adding heart, humor, and authenticity that truly elevates the story. This is fun, spicy, and full of banter and one you won’t want to miss!
This is the fifth book in this impressive series, and this is Jason and Scottie’s story. Jason is Scottie’s older brothers’ best friend, and he is an NHL player who has injured his knee, while Scottie is a retired Olympian, turner physical therapist. These two have history, and now Scottie is tasked with rehabbing Jason’s knee. This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, determination, angst, close proximity, survival, challenges, second chances, humor, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
The chemistry and banter between Scottie and Jason was so good. Scottie and Jason have always had feelings for each other but thought the other didn't feel the same. When Jason has an almost career ending injury, Scottie is his new PT. He flirts and she pushes him harder. They start a friends with benefits situation but their true feelings surface quickly. How will her brothers handle their relationship?
4 Star Review Playing For The Hat Trick (The Crawford Family Playbook #5) by Kendall Hale
Playing For The Hat Trick, is the fifth book in The Crawford Family Playbook series and was a good addition.
This is Scottie Crawford and Jason Tate’s story and I found myself drawn into the story.
There was plenty of heat, the banter witty and I quickly became invested in their story. It was entertaining to watch as their relationship developed. Well written this book ticked numerous boxes for me.
Playing The Hat Trick The Crawford Family Playbook, Book 5 By: Kendall Hale Narrated by: Aaron Shedlock, Eliza Summers
Kendall Hale brings some more greatness to her “Crawford Family Playbook” series, a brother’s best friend sports romance that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings the entire time. Each book in the series features a different Crawford sibling, and this fifth book is Ella “Scottie” Crawford’s story. Scottie is an Olympian from Team USA, whose soccer career ended abruptly because of an ACL injury. Unable to play on the field anymore, she put all her energy into her new career, not just becoming a physical therapist, but becoming the best in her field, known as the rehab queen who rebuilds legends. Jason Tate, a professional hockey player and team captain of the NY Vipers, has been on the sidelines with a knee injury for eleven months. He has tried every type of physical therapy for his knee out there, but none have worked, so Jacob, his manager, calls in a favor and gets him into Lafferty Performance and Rehab facility as his last resort, Scottie’s place. Jason is Scottie’s brother Leif’s best friend and teammate, and they history, one she does not want to revisit or bring up again. She was going to evaluate him and assign a different therapist to work with him, but he wasn’t going away that easily. Scottie was fierce and great at what she does, knows how to read a person and their injury, both physically and mentally. She was just what Jason needed to get his body back to the way it was and then some, as well as get out of his own head and into a different mindset, to gain his confidence back on the ice. It was great watching these two work together and reacquaint themselves again. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and as much as she resisted, it was only so long before they’d both give in. This is a multilayered, wonderfully written and plotted story, a story with the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Kendall Hale, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Aaron Shedlock and Eliza Summers were fabulous in bringing these characters to life, giving each a voice that was fitting for a perfect portrayal of each. They were naturals in their roles, embodying their character’s personality completely and were believable in every role. Shedlock nailed it as Jason, showcasing every aspect of his personality, from his insecurities to his determination and passion. Summers was just as amazing in Scottie’s role and did the same, grasping her personality, too, including her fierceness. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the side/secondary characters, too. Their pacing and tone were just right for the story, and their performance conveyed all the characters’ emotions, making you feel each one. They are entertaining storytellers, and their captivating performance keeps you glued to the story.
𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 by Kendall Hale was an absolute joy. It was a quick read with great pacing that kept me engaged and had me smiling from start to finish. Scottie was a strong, laid-back, and outgoing FMC who knew what she wanted and was not afraid to admit it. Her resilience and determination made her an amazing character, and I could not help but root for her. I loved how she was so determined to help Jason face his fears head-on and believe in himself again.
Jason, the MMC, was swoon-worthy. His pursuit of Scottie, without any games or pretense, was great to see. The chemistry between Scottie and Jason was palpable. Their interactions were filled with tension and longing that culminated in some very spicy moments. I loved their banter, whether it was when they were flirting with each other, or during their “we totally don’t like each other” act at the start of the story.
I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Eliza Summers. Their duet narration brought the characters to life, adding depth and emotion to the story. I really loved Shedlock's portrayal of Jason. He perfectly captured Jason’s charm and sincerity. Summers gave Scottie a voice that's both strong and relatable. These two are a narrating powerhouse!
Kendall Hale writes the best characters! They are flawed, witty, self-aware, and authentic. I always know I’m in for a good time when I pick up one of her books.
Overall, I enjoyed 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤. It was fun, sweet, steamy, and I think Scottie and Jason's story was a great addition to the series. If you are looking for a feel-good romance with lots of spice and great banter, this one’s for you.
🆆🅷🅰🆃 🆃🅾 🅴🆇🅿🅴🅲🆃 💜 Doctor/patient 💜 He falls first 💜 Hate to love (okay, more like "I find you mildly infuriating") 💜 Best friend’s little sister 💜 Brother’s best friend 💜 Broody hero hiding golden retriever energy 💜 Opposites attract
Just under 350 pages, Playing for the Hat Trick is a story that immediately pulled me in and kept me intrigued. The pacing of this story by Kendall Hale was perfect and helped keep the story moving. Book five in the Crawford Family Playbook, it is the perfect addition that brings us two MCs who were just meant to be. Kendall shows off her talent for writing complex and layered characters, while keeping them easy to relate to. I always enjoy reading stories written by her.
From the first encounter the chemistry between our MCs, Jason and Scottie, was easy to feel and see in the story. Each interaction was dripping with longing and desire that made them easy to root for and want to see happy. The banter was fun, witty, and sexy til the very end of the story and the spice could set this book aflame easily. Even as they fought their feelings for each other and struggled to admit they liked each other, it was easy to see.
Our FMC, Scottie, is strong, determined, and fierce. Our MMC, Jason, compliments her perfectly with his golden retriever energy that he tries to hide behind his brooding vibes. When their guards finally came down for each other, it was epic and explosive. I absolutely love reading about men who are feral for their woman and not afraid to shout it!
The growth that Kendall always puts her characters through is raw and real. She is never shy about giving her characters flaws, which makes them easy for me to love. Even more so, her characters admit their flaws, showing self-awareness and vulnerability.
As always, review any author notes before reading.
What to Expect: 💜Off Limits Romance 🏒Doctor x Patient 💜He Falls First 🏒Best Friend’s Little Sister 💜Brother’s Best Friend 🏒Golden Retriever MMC 💜Opposites Attract
This is another fun, heartfelt, and sizzling romance in The Crawford Family Playbook series! Ella (Scottie) Crawford and Jason Tate have history that left them both heartbroken. Now Jason is suffering from an injury that no one has been able to help him with and Scottie is his last chance to recovery. Scottie doesn't want to help her brothers best friend, but she knows what it takes to overcome a possible career ending injury, both physically and mentally, and she can't turn down a challenge. When they start his therapy, their banter is sharp and witty, and the tension between them grows hotter with each session. Should they give in to their shared chemistry hoping it goes away, or will it only complicate Jason getting back on the ice, or worse, their hearts. I loved Scottie and Jason together. They each hid their brokenness so well, but they really saw and connected with each other and their pieces fit together so perfectly. Jason was so thoughtful, and caring, and Scottie was smart and independent. My heart hurt for these characters at times, but I also loved their sense of humor, strength, and resilience as well, and their chemistry was explosive! I also loved seeing the whole Crawford family together adding so much fun to this story as well. This story sizzles with romance and wit and narrators, Aaron Shedlock and Eliza Summers shined as Jason and Scottie. They embodied these characters so perfectly, making them come to life so clearly in my mind. Their storytelling really pulled me in with their comedic timing, and incredibly emotional and passionate performances, keeping me totally engaged from start to finish.
“This isn’t just about muscles or ligaments or scar tissue. This is Scottie Crawford touching me again—after years of radio silence and one spectacularly hot night.”
Playing for the Hat Trick | Kendall Hale | Crawford Family Playbook #5
Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5, 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
“He’s not just scared of pain. He’s terrified of hope. I’ve seen it before. And, yeah—I’ve been there too. I lived there. I was the girl who broke and didn’t think she deserved to be put back together. I crawled out of that hole with my teeth bared, my knuckles torn, and a rehab team who refused to let me quit when I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror. But that’s the thing. I’m not that girl anymore. Also, I’m not here to save people who want to stay broken.”
Read this if you love: opposites attract | best friend’s little sister | doctor x patient | he falls first | s*xual tension | hurt x comfort
“Apparently, my professional boundaries evaporated the moment Jason Tate looked at me like I was the answer to every prayer his c*ck ever whispered.”
This book had so much tension that I think my screen melted between Scottie and Jason trying to avoid each other, but also in their longing for one another. This couple comes at you hot and quick, like they’ve always known that one day it will happen even though they have tried really hard to avoid it. There is also some good personal growth for Scottie and Jason, but oh my it’s the tension that sells it. I’m almost surprised the Crawford family didn’t have more to say about these two.
Thank you @authorkendallhale for the eARC. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.
Ella ‘Scottie’ Crawford is pure sass and bossy attitude that has been finely crafted as the only sister in the Crawford family. She’s turned the page from Olympian athlete to become a top tier physical therapist. As someone who had to reinvent and rebuild herself after a career ending ACL injury she knows what it takes.
Jason Tate is her brother’s older brother’s best friend and team captain, and he’s been around her family for over a decade. They’ve had some moments in the past that could have lead somewhere, but didn’t.
When Jason shows up at her clinic as the patient she’s been asked to rehab as a favor to her agent, she’s not happy, but she doesn’t back down from a challenge. Jason is in a bad place mentally after his ALC surgery and rehabilitation efforts haven’t gotten him ready to hit the ice again. Scottie is his last resort at returning to playing hockey.
I loved these two together with this sassy banter, provocative taunts and the promise of mayhem. Their backstory gives extra weight to why a relationship between them is perilous if it doesn’t work between them, but also the catalyst for why they are meant to be together.
I only wish we would have had more time with them being in the same place working out their relationship and additional scenes with the Crawford family. This series is fantastic and I’ve been eagerly anticipating Scottie’s story.
I received a free ARC from the author and 1852 Media; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
Playing For the Hat Trick was another fun read in the Crawford Family series. It's a slow burn, hockey romance between an injured athlete and his doctor. The story follows the MCs, Scottie and Jason. Not only do they share a history, but she also happens to be the younger sister to his best friend. There were so many cute moments between these two. I must say that the text sessions through this series have been highly entertaining. This book also had some eventful sessions.😜
The flirting while at work sessions has me full face smiling. But my favorite moments of this book were the cooking sessions. I'm such a sucker for a man who can deliver on both dinner and dessert ( if you know what I mean). 😉 This was a slow burn, that eventually hit maximum capacity.🥵
The audiobook is dual narrated bu Aaron Sherlock & Eliza Summers and they did a great job bringing Scottie and Jason to life. The narration will have you in the feels with Kendall's signature banter and palpable chemistry. I didn't want this to end! Highly recommend this series on audio for those seeking a, witty sports romance series.
Themes & Tropes:
💜Hockey Romance 🩵Forbidden Love 💙Brother’s BFF’s/BFF’s Younger Sister 💜One Night 🩵He Falls First 💙Eat, Pray, F** k Agreement 💜Hurt/ Comfort
Playing for the Hat Trick by Kendall Hale was a spicy second-chance hockey romance that did deliciously good things to my heart. I’ve been anticipating Scottie’s romance since the start of The Crawford Family Playbook series, and I loved that she finally got her own HEA with the one and only Jason Tate. Plus, throw in the brother’s best friend trope, and you also have the perfect touch of forbidden.
Eliza Summers and Aaron Shedlock perform this audiobook in duet-style narration. This was the first time I’d heard this pairing, and both did a great job embodying Scottie and Jason. Eliza’s performance captured Scottie’s passionate and dedicated persona perfectly. Aaron’s portrayal of Jason exuded confidence and charm. Plus, both narrators created just the right amount of push and pull between Scottie and Jason simply irresistible.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of a second-chance hockey romance with a hot, hunky recovering athlete, a dedicated physical therapist, second chances, dirty talk, steamy times, secret romance, brother’s best friend, love declarations, intimate conversations, and a HEA that will score a winning goal in your heart, then you will love Scottie and Jason’s story. I always look forward to more from Kendall Hale.
If there’s one thing I love it’s a wild combative love language. Scotty and Jason are not the sweet, swoony lovers. They are the burn them to the ground, no man left standing kind of love. They flirt with taunts and jabs and build a sexual tension that’s ready to blow the roof off the place. Another Crawford is down, she is down bad for her brother’s best friend and there is no turning back. Jason is the wounded hero you have to root for, his struggle made the story build worth it. Giving them a shared goal with a big payout. I loved watching the bricks fall from the wall Scotty built around her heart. He just kept chipping at them one at a time with patience and determination until she was defenceless. I love that in Kendall Hale's books. The men, they work for it with gusto. Hale definitely made the Hat Trick her move. 1) stellar characters 2)great plot 3)endless swoon GOAL!
Audio: Eliza Summers - I am in love! Her exasperation, her tension, her aggravation- TOP TIER! skyrocketing to the top of my femme narrator list!! Aaron Shedlock is an old hat in this series, the kind that you keep reaching for because the fit is Just Right. He plays a hero that melts your socks off and makes you swoon. Together they light up this story and bring it to life!
Sooo.. this book is the first book in this series that I have read. It can be read as a standalone but to be honest I feel like I am missing a few key thoughts.. which in a sense is why this book wasn't a five star read to me. I loved Scottie and Jason. I could feel their chemistry jumping off the pages. But I didn't quite understand the dynamic between them either. I know he is Leif's best friend. I know Scottie (or Ella.. I'm a bit confused on the nickname too) is Leif's younger sister. Apparently something happened between them at her prom and again in Tokyo? But a note was left? There were just a few unexplained questions. There was a lot of anger on Scottie's part. Jason was going through some mental issues. It was just a jumbled "we finally get our second chance."
I loved Jason and how he never gave up. Not on Scottie and not on his career. Yeah it was a process to mentally recover for him. But the end results were worth the wait. I also liked Scottie.. especially when she finally gave in and took what she had wanted for years.
This book was good. It was definitely worth the wild rush. I may have to go back and read the rest.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review*
Scottie is a physical therapist who is know for pushing her patients to extremes but the results that she achieves are unquestionable. When she is convinced to take on Jason, her brother’s best friend, who is not making the progress he needs after an injury put his hockey career on hold her first instinct was to have another therapist work with him because of her past however she soon realizes she might be the only person who can help him overcome the obstacles he is facing.
Jason is a professional hockey player who is teammates and best friends with Scottie’s brother. He has always had feelings for her, but it has never worked out. Seeing her again he knows he wants a future with her, but he is willing to take what she will give until he convinces her they belong together especially when she understands and helps him see what has really been holding him back.
The banter between Jason and Scottie was so much fun and I enjoyed seeing them finally acknowledge their feelings for each other and as always Scottie’s family always add an extra layer to the story. Aaron Shedlock brings out both the insecurities and charm of Jason while Eliza Summers brings out the sass and strength of Scottie.
Ella "Scottie" Crawford has an impressive background. She's got the gold medal and the U.S. Women's Soccer legacy but when she tore her ACL in the last couple minutes of a championship game that was it. So she opened her own business, Laferty Performance & Recovery center. This is the place when everyone else gives up, they don't.
Jason Tate is a professional hockey player who got injured eleven months ago. He doesn't want it to be over but nothing in his mind has worked so far. When it's suggested he try this one last place he doesn't want to go but really has no choice. Of course it's Scottie's place and she is the sister of his best friend and teammate and someone he's known for years and has some unfinished business with. Of course she doesn't want to work with him and tries to set him up with other PT's in the office but no one can handle him and they don't want to work with him so guess who gets him? Scottie.
Will she get through to him and get him rehabbed? Will they get their second chance?
This is the fifth book in the Crawford Family Playbook. Jason is Scottie’s brother’s best friend and after an injury he ends up doing his recovery at Scottie’s clinic. Is she thrilled? Not even close but her brother asked her and she reluctantly agreed. Their banter from the moment she evaluates him is amazing. She’s not afraid to call out his BS and tell him that he’s using his braces as a security blanket. Jason is amused by her attitude towards him and is determined to have her be his therapist at some point. He hasn’t been able to stop thinking about her for years and seeing her again brings back a lot of emotions. Scottie is very much attracted to him too but is trying to hide her feelings. The more he flirts with her the more she pushes him. Their chemistry is off the charts and this story definitely did not disappoint. I’ve been waiting to read Scottie’s story for a while and Kendall knocked it out of the park. I rate it 5 stars.
*** I received this arc in exchange for an honest review***
I have not read every book from this author, but each one that I have has been nothing short of outstanding. Usually when I read romance novels, I tend to favor one main character over the other. This was not the case in this book. Both Scottie and Jason were such incredible characters and obviously due to how well this book has been written, they make an amazing couple. To get to this part, it’s not exactly smooth sailing. They do have a past that makes Scottie hesitate, but the same cannot be said for Jason. He knows what he wants and he’s all in pretty much from the get go. I love when this happens, when the MMC falls first and falls hard. It never gets old to me. There are also some great supporting characters who most have appeared in their own books. But it just showcases what a great family the Crawfords are. This book has an incredibly believable storyline and if I didn’t have to be an adult I more than likely would have read it in one sitting.

Audio/eBook Review: Playing For The Hat Trick Is Scottie Crawford and Jason Tate’s entertaining, steamy and witty story. It’s book five in The Crawford Family Playbook Series and it’s a good addition. Scottie is an Olympian turned physical therapist who has a history with injured NHL player Jason. When Jason becomes her newest rehab challenge it’s become a lot harder than just keeping her mind on getting him fit again. But as a client and her brother’s best friend she knows he should be off limits but his charm and flirting is becoming harder and harder to resist…… Aaron Shedlock and Eliza Summers did a great job bringing the characters and their story to life. They were spot on with the banter and the love that flows through this book and they were very easy to listen to. I loved this fun, witty and steamy read.
Kendall Hale delivers yet another total winner with Playing for the Hat Trick—a spicy, laugh-out-loud hockey romance that hits every beloved trope with precision and heat. From Jason’s broody, secretly-soft hero to the sassy, off-limits Ella (AKA Scottie), the chemistry crackles on every page. The doctor/patient tension? Immaculate. The texting and sexting? Absolutely delicious. Not to mention the hilarious and relatable inner monologues, steamy scenes that sizzle, and banter so sharp it could cut ice - we are given a story that’s impossible to put down. I read this in a day. This one’s for readers who love their romance fiery, funny, and full of heart.
Perfect for fans of best friend’s sister tension, opposites attracting hard, and a hero who falls first (and hard).
I received a free ARC of this book, and this review is only my opinion.
Playing for the Hat Trick is book 5 in The Crawford Family Playbook Series and is a brother’s best friend, second chance, sports romance and the one I’ve been waiting for. Scottie, the only girl in the Crawford siblings is a strong, independent, fierce woman who knows exactly what she wants. She sets her goals and then when life changes her course she pivots and then owns the new goal. Jason is one of Scottie’s brother’s best friends and he’s always had a soft spot for her. Like all good brothers best friends romances, this book is full of angst, tension and banter. I always love visiting this wild and wacky family and the protectiveness of the brother for their only sister was nothing short of entertaining. I knew Scottie’s story would be as incredible as she is, Kendall, book 5 was more than a hat trick!
I will read anything Kendall Hale writes. I absolutely adore her writing and her books are among my favorites.
Playing for the Hat Trick is book 5 in the Crawford family playbook, but it can be read as a standalone. This is Scottie's story and I was ready for her journey. This did not disappoint. After meeting her in the first couple of books, I was so ready for her and her attitude! I love her the most! She is strong willed, owns her own business, a former Olympian and just full of sass.
Enter Jason. Scottie’s older brother's best friend and NHL player who hurts his knee and needs Scottie’s help.
The chemistry between the two is off the charts. The banter and relationship and history between Scottie and Jason was just perfection. I could not put it down! I loved everything about this story and it is a must read as is the entire series.
Playing for the Hat Trick is wonderful. This is Scottie's book. She has had a thing for her brother's best friend Tate since high school. She was a talented athlete like the rest of the Crawford's. She knows how to handle the tough athletes and get them back to fighting shape. Tate has known Scottie for years and there's unfinished business there. Tate is fighting rehabilitation to get back on the ice and Scottie is just the one to help. You are going to love their chemistry and how Tate wears Scottie down showing her she's not another notch. I love how Scottie helps Tate get over his mental block. I could not get enough of these two. You are going to love how Tate handles the rest of the the Crawford's. I could not put this down. You need to one click this today.
I was anxiously awaiting Scottie's story, because as the only sister, we knew her story was going to be something special and it absolutely was.
I did not see Scottie falling for her brother's best friend, but as we get to know her and Jason's back story and connection, there really was no one else for either of them but each other. On the brink of his hockey career ending due to an injury that has kept him out, Jason ends up at Scottie's rehab facility and as soon as they're back in each others orbit the sparks begin to fly.
I loved that Scottie was such a baddie boss babe, and did not give into Jason immediately, despite her heart and libido not being on the same page. These two had hilarious banter, insane chemistry, heart stopping heat and so much love.
Aaron Shedlock & Eliza Summers were fantastic bringing this fun loving couple to life. They gave depth and passion to Jason & Scottie, and drew me into their story even more. I really enjoyed listening to their storytelling after reading the story. It made me feel like I was listening to two of my friends fall in love. Outstanding performance.
Playing for the Hat Trick might be my favorite of this series. It had the right mix of banter, emotional growth, just enough of the forbidden trope to keep it spicy, and last but not least—the best sport, hockey.
Jason and Scottie had so much chemistry, their spicy scenes were fire. But they didn’t just connect physically. They both worked so hard to overcome their fears, when they actually gave in and got together it was so satisfying.
There’s a bit of a second chance, a bit of the “time we wasted,” but both characters grew while apart, so I think they got together at the perfect time.
🎧Dual Review📖 Aaron Shedlock, Eliza Summers do a beautiful job bringing these characters to life. As always I read first and then listened. When its a book with great characters and chemistry it's great to be able to listen to someone else read to you.
Jason Tate, a professional hockey player and team captain of the NY Vipers has been on the sidelines for almost a year with an injury.
Ella “Scottie” Crawford may be his last hope.
But these two have history, he's her brother's best friend, and right now he's her patient.
As always the Crawford family proves how supportive, loyal, fun, and amazing they are so don't miss out whether you read, listen or both. I have voluntarily left this review.
I will say this again Scottie is a true girls girl. She is also strong willed and has no problem saying what she has to say. Jason is scared of what could happen if his career is over after this injury. The only person who can put up with him and make him do the work is none other than Scottie. I feel like she enjoyed the pain she put the patients through when it comes to her PT room. I love how they grow together and how Leif was ready to murder. Her papa knew exactly what was going on and was cheering for it. I cannot wait until the last book is complete and we can see where The Crawford siblings go in life in their careers and families.
