Adorable pictures! This book is certainly designed to make young children aware that there are different kinds of monkeys (and apes). Reading this book before a visit to the zoo seems a great idea because this book will help little children to pay attention to monkeys' various features (eyes, noses, color of fur etc.) and how they can be distinguished. That being said, I do not understand why the monkeys' names aren't listed below their pictures. This seems weird, especially since in the days of photoshop inserting a name is an easy task.

Also, there is a difference between monkeys and primates. Though it would be unreasonable to expect that young children between 2 and 5 learn the difference, I believe neither does just throwing all of them into a book make much sense. The author might as well have stuck to monkeys and produce a separate book depicting only apes.

Very cute, but could be more educational.

Only pictures

It was only pictures and no writing to read and in my opinion it is not a book.
