An examination of the precise code that connects ancient spirituality with modern science • Shows how the numerical patterns in ancient philosophies are evident in both the structure of the universe and the helical structure of DNA • Reveals that music theory comes from an intuitive understanding of the resonant harmony of the cosmos Many have observed the distinct numerical patterns embedded in ancient philosophies and religions from all over the world; others have noted that these same patterns are apparent in many of the theories of groundbreaking science. Michael Hayes reveals that there is a precise code, the Hermetic Code, that connects these patterns--information once known to ancient cultures but apparently lost over time. Mirrored in the structure of this code are the ordering principles of the universe and, intriguingly, also the harmonic ratios of music. Our notions of what is harmonious in music may therefore arise not from an abstract aesthetic sense but as a response to an intuition of a fundamental cosmic harmony. The resonance between biology and cosmology shows that life is music, complete with “overtones”--nowhere more strikingly present than in the helical structure of life DNA.
Michael Hayes has rediscovered a powerful ancient connection between DNA, Life, and Music. The Hermetic Code in DNA is truly a wonderful book, filled with ancient wisdom long forgotten by humanity. The book is very intuitive and makes a good connection between music and the higher harmonics of the Cosmos.
Hermetic Code in DNA ties nicely with Richard Rudd's "Gene Keys", which describes the connections between ancient Chinese "Book of Changes, I-Ching, and the 64 Codons of the DNA.
I highly recommend this book to any one interested in the evolution of the humankind and our place in the Cosmos.

I would be vary of anyone claiming to have a broad spectrum of ‘hidden’ knowledge, especially when explaining complex concepts, as if they were copied from textbooks, but being superficial when drawing new conclusions. I for one failed to even understand the meaning of what’s in the title of the book, let alone anything else.
This is a very esoteric book with themes of Egyptians as the first ones and that Hermes/Toth created musical or hermetic scales that transcend centuries and the traditions of the Egyptian origin srpries and myth are the origins of DNA. The musical scales, do, re,me, fa, so.la and ti. Do being the point of death. As above, so below. Hid theories are based on an L S D trip. This theory transcends all religions beginning with Osiris, Isis and Horus, the sacred trinity like God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. As above, So below goes all the way from DN A below and the universe above. The brain, I'd and E. Ego. IThe book is unique because of musical harmony and the combination of myth, physics and science. I found it a bot confusing and it does hang together well but the age of Aquarius is a bit dated. He does kind have a poie, The daddy's aka snake looks like the DNA structure. Hermes will be the judge.

I originally read this in college, came back to re-read it for inspiration. Interesting how many concepts and ideas I had forgotten came to me through this book, it definitely ties a lot of things together.
