As the war on Alaric Prime rages, Wolf Lord Ragnar Blackmane’s impulsive rage leads his warriors into danger. Cut off from their allies and with orks all around them, Ragnar and his Rune Priest, Ulli Iceclaw, must fight for their lives at the very heart of the greenskin hordes, even as the orks unveil a new flying superweapon that could spell doom for the Imperial defenders of Alaric Prime.

Ben Counter, as well as making several contributions to Inferno magazine, has written the Soul Drinkers and Grey Knights series and two Horus Heresy novels for the Black Library. He is an ancient history graduate and avid miniature painter with a bronze demon under his belt.
Another great saga of the Rout and the legend of Ragnar Blackmane, the Young King and Black Wolf, as his rage and reckless abandon are discussed by the Rune Priests and weighed against the inspiration and resolve he lends to his battle brothers.
This really was great and an interesting perspective on Blackmane and the 'two wolves' at the icy heart of the VIII.
I went back and forth on whether to give this four or five because there are things much better than this, but I don't do half marks and I try to review in all things by taking away and adding to a perfect score and this only has pluses.
A well done audiobook. Maybe it's me, but the Space Wolves in this seem a little to eloquent, with lots of rambling speeches being made while supposedly in the grips of intense combat. Also, some things don't make sense if you don't know what a Blood Claw or Long Fang is. I looked them up on the web.
