Stuntwoman Gabi hates being tied down. Stubborn and fiercely independent, she prides herself on never needing anyone's help. But after an accident at work, she moves to the small riverside town of Honeybridge to recover.
Local hero Walker is the town's favourite firefighter. As strong as he is tall, he could have any woman he wants. He just can't stop thinking about Gabi.
He's fire, she's ice, and sparks fly between them. Gabi doesn't want to settle down, wasn't looking for her happy ever after. But could Walker be someone worth staying for?

Quote: "Sounds like the start of a great relationship if you ask me." "That’s the problem. I’m not here for a boyfriend." Gabi sighed. "I’m here for a broken leg."
My synopsis After a stunt accident on set leaves her with a broken leg, feisty independent stuntwoman Gabriella "Gabi" Tucci moves in with her cousin Isabella in Honeybridge England for three months to recover. Her path soon crosses with sexy Walker McBride, a 36yo Scottish firefighter who heroically steps in to help with a roof collapse at Isabella’s restaurant, and their connection is immediate. As Gabi settles into the slow pace of community life, they find themselves drawn together until they can no longer resist the pull of their desires. However, with Gabi’s jet setting career waiting for her, she is determined to keep things as a temporary holiday fling. But as their connection deepens, Walker finds himself wanting much more, even if that means letting someone in to his shameful secrets. Can they stand the heat?
My review This was a light, character driven story that took its time building a sense of community. While the romance felt genuine, there were definitely a few speed bumps along the way.
What worked: - The "heavy" elements were surprisingly well-handled. Walker’s struggle with anxiety, Jayden’s heartbreak over his absent father, and Gabi’s strained relationship with her parents added some great emotional weight. - I enjoyed how the story focused on small, meaningful interactions that made Gabi and Walker's connection feel real (even if things went from 0 to 100 in the bedroom a bit too quickly!).
What didn't work: - Gabi’s overconfidence was a bit much at times. She had a habit of being pushy that felt overbearing. - Gabi and Walker's "on-again, off-again" relationship was a little frustrating and started to feel a bit toxic toward the end. - The secondary romance was distracting and it felt like it deserved its own book rather than taking the focus away from Gabi and Walker. - At times the prose felt a bit clunky in sections, with unnecessary explanations that could have been trimmed to help the story flow better. Please bring the sex terminology into the 21st century, too!
With thanks to the Publishers and NetGalley for providing me with this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
What a refreshing and heartwarming read! I havent read many fire fighter contemporary romances before now but wow this might be a new category I love! Plus some of the scenes needed a hose down 🥵🤣
I absolutely love the pacing and worldbuilding of All Change with some fantastic side characters. I wouldn't mind a Walker popping me into a fireman's hold 🫠
Walker is a fireman for his town and is seen as the local hero- to his reluctance. Gabi is a movie stuntwoman who after a serious injury is taking time to recuperate at her cousins. Both have trust issues after historical trauma, but once the attraction starts and they start to smoulder together (see what i did there) can they support one another in confronting their pasts to build a future?
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book in exchange for an ARC.
This was such a fun and enjoyable read. It tackled some heavier topics while still keeping plenty of humour throughout.
I loved the small town setting and the found family dynamic within the friendship group. Gabi and Walker were so good together and wow… the spice definitely delivered 🌶️
I’m really interested to see what happens next with some of the other characters in Honeybridge.
This was such a sweet, easy to read small town romance 💛
Gabi is fiercely independent (and definitely stubborn!) but her character feels authentic - you really understand the experiences that shaped her. Watching her slowly soften and open up was satisfying without feeling rushed.
Walker, on the other hand, completely stole my heart. His backstory is genuinely touching, and his emotional growth throughout the story adds real depth to what could have been a simple romance.
Together, they bring that classic opposites attract energy - fire meets ice - with just the right amount of tension and warmth.
If you love small-town settings, strong character development, and a romance that feels both comforting and engaging, this one’s worth picking up!
…But that’s about, the spicy scenes were kinda boring and the random story lines felt kinda just tossed in the Also why are they always fighting??? I’ll read the next book because I love Fox and wanna know what happens with him but tbh I preferred the first one more
A great read, set in a small town in England. Gabi is only in town to recover from an accident, and meets Walker. I liked how it was told from both points of view. Looking forward to the next book in the series
Gabi and Walker have a relationship that is mainly based on misunderstandings, a bit like that of the secondary characters. It almost seems as if they speak two different languages. In addition, the author pushes the drama pedal quite hard, and at times certain interactions seem rather exaggerated. That said, it is an enjoyable book and provides the right amount of sex without skimping.
I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.
