He’s a wounded soul and failed protector who stopped making promises…until her.

For years, Corey Emerson has drowned in guilt and PTSD, unable to escape the haunting memories of a mission gone wrong. Nothing has eased his conscience or the grief he carries. Struggling to cope, he’s turned to a life of solitude, hiding away in a mountain cabin with his wolf.

Sera Darling has accepted the sad fact that her best years are over. After enduring a tragedy, she still battles nightmares and tries to dull the pain by simply going through the motions, losing herself in the daily monotony of an unrewarding job.

But when she witnesses a murder and discovers her boss is collaborating with a powerful cartel, her survival instinct kicks in, and she runs for her life. Fate intervenes, leading her straight to Corey’s doorstep.

Recognizing a kindred spirit, Corey goes against his better judgment and vows to protect Sera—even though the last promise he made ended in bloodshed and death. The two broken souls unite, their shattered pieces fitting together to form something stronger.

When a common enemy strikes and abducts Sera, Corey’s inner wolf is unleashed with an unholy vengeance. He and the Motley Crew set out to hunt down the men responsible and rescue her.

Caught in the middle of warring cartels, the stakes are at an all-time high. And if Corey can’t overcome his demons, then he will lose the woman who’s become his miracle.

Before you start this book, make sure you have a box or three of Kleenex close because you'll need it.

The prologue broke me instantly and I didn't think I could break anymore but I was wrong after hearing more about Corey's pain. Add Sera's on top and my heart was shattered and in pieces on the floor. The demons they both lived with, the pain and fear that lurked in the shadows, it killed me. The way they healed each other just by being present was beautiful.

There's one character that left me with questions that I hope Charissa will answer in another book or maybe a book of his own? Because Xander Hawke is a mystery that I'm dying to know more about.

I’ve read this book twice yet I am still struggling to find the words to fully do this masterpiece justice. Corey and Sera’s story has given me the biggest book hangover I’ve EVER had. The only one close to this would have been Cassian from another of Charissa’s outstandingly beautiful and unforgettable reads.

Have you ever had a moment when you have all these emotions running around your heart that you want to put into words but none you come up with does it justice? Well, that’s me, right here, trying my best to put into words how much this book touched my very soul and left a mark as a permanent reminder to its utter perfection.

And Charissa Gracyk - cooter scooter? - absolutely loved that!!😂😂

Charissa puts so much love and herself into her books that it shouldn’t be surprising that they knock the wind out of us, but each book she writes just seems to add that little bit more, even though that seems impossible, to bring us to our knees.

I’ve waited for Corey’s story for ages. He’s a character that captured my attention from the beginning. His pain so easy to see. My heart literally ached for him as he battled his need for the connection he had with the guys and his need for privacy when the his past moved into the forefront and paralysed him, a dark, sinister presence that was never far away.

Charissa could not have found a better companion for him than Storm. Their bond true and strong. Their devotion to each other so heart renderingly beautiful it brought tears to my eyes.
I think I felt this because up until a year or so ago I had my very own version of Storm in the form of a border collie names Lucy who was my shadow. She knew my emotions just as well as I knew hers. Our bond, even in death is still strong and everlasting.

Watching this beautiful man live with the crushing guilt of those he lost, of what he saw as his failures broke my heart. It was a testament to his strength that he hadn’t crumbled beneath it.

Watching him come to life when he met Sera was so profound, so achingly beautiful. Seeing the darkness diminish bit by bit as he looked deep into her soul and saw the pain and guilt she struggled with. A kindred spirit that had the ability to save him. And watching Sera do this is something that will be with me forever.

Sera is such a beautiful character. Despite her trauma, the consequences of which she carries around with her every day, she’s such a strong, open and beautiful soul. It takes strength of character to be without her family and go about day to day life while trying to live with the trauma strapped to her like a ticking bomb.

I love Loki, when you think of a support pet you don’t necessarily think of a cat first, but Loki matched Sera perfectly. The bond they had and the comfort and support Sera got, I think was one of the main reasons she managed to live with her guilt and pain.

I let like she was the perfect match for Corey. She just had a light about her that drew everyone in. She was open and I feel that if I had met her I would have felt something shift because someone that special and selfless doesn’t come along often. Heck, I’m still looking!!

Watching Corey and Sera fall in love was nothing but pure unadulterated perfection. They were two halves of the same heart and I feel so privileged to have had a front row seat to watch their beautiful and awe inspiring journey to their own HEA.

Charissa Gracyk is one of my two unicorn authors. She puts nothing less than everything of herself into her writing. The depth and emotions she writes steal your heart as they swirl around her and take you on the most beautiful and unforgettable journey you’ll ever go on.

Absolutely spellbinding read. So compelling and perfect.

Every star in the universe would not even come close to portraying just how utterly amazing and unforgettable this story is.

Thankyou Charissa Gracyk🥰

Corey get’s his HEA. I really enjoyed this story. Corey and Sera have a chance meeting; Sera’s on the run after witnessing something and after she reaches Montana she has a snowy mishap and after leaving her car behind, she comes upon Corey’s cabin and Corey and Storm, Corey’s wolf.

What drew me into the story was that the main characters are both really struggling in their lives, almost crippled by PTSD. When they meet there’s mutual like, that grows as they get to know each other. There is also smexy times, and more importantly, their level of intimacy was really mature and deep. They were able to help each other heal with deep intimacy, compassion and empathy. It was just beautiful.

The epilogues are chef’s kiss!

Corey is easily the most heartfelt book in this series so far, IMO. (Yes, Wes’s story was beautifully emotional, but in a different way.) But the story of Sera and Corey just hits the perfect angsty, touching, sweet, heart aching, inspiring, loving notes. (How’s that for a lineup?) Oh, and did I mention all of this occurs amongst the backdrop of intrigue and action? No small feat for any author to manage, but Gracyk deftly melds everything together in just the right amounts.

Both Corey and Sera have gone through trauma, and even though their situations were different, they’re still affected in similar ways: withdrawing from human interactions, and plagued by guilt and nightmares. They understand what the other is going through, and that creates a natural solidarity. Their hearts recognize a kindred spirit before they do, and it’s through that connection that they’re able to help each other heal.

Add in the touching bonds between Sera and her cat, Loki, and Corey and his wolf, Storm, and every animal lover will instantly relate and appreciate the fact that they’re considered family and not just pets for the hero and heroine.

This is a heartfelt, make-you-sigh installment in a great series. And I guarantee the ending will leave you smiling with all the warm and fuzzy feelings these two characters deserve.

I have anxiously been waiting to read Corey’s story, and I have to say it was worth the wait!!! I devoured this love story in a day. It is everything that you expect from Charissa Gracyk, action, romance, adrenaline pumping, page turning adventure. I love how vulnerable Corey is, and that a personal experience was put into the character of Sera, making her so powerful and vulnerable as well. I love how past characters make appearances and give updates on their lives, yet I could pick up Corey’s story and understand the history of everyone because this could be read as a standalone. The characters are so well developed and created that they truly can be seen in your head and become friends. I highly recommend you pick this up! You won’t be disappointed.

His world was cold and grey. He became a hermit. He couldn't forgive himself that an asset was killed because he made the wrong choice.
Sera lived in a world of regret and survivors guilt. Her life became mundane. Witnessing a killing led to her running for her life.
By chance, she landed on Corey's doorstep. Their similar pasts united them. Can they heal each other's wounded souls.?
Corey is on a mission, and the killer caught up with Sera and kidnapped her.
Will he be able to save her.?
I will leave that question for you. But I do recommend this book. Get all the silver foxes and dig in. You'll thank the author

The writing in this series is so magnificent that you feel like you know these characters personally. Corey has always been the one I wanted to get to know. We all know someone who's just a bit different, but you love being around them. He had me at wolf!! Corey and Sera definitely were meant for one another. Both broken, but just needed someone to show them love and compassion to lift it away. The storyline flows smoothly, and the added intrigue surrounding them just adds to flipping pages. It was very well done, and the ending was perfect! Definitely five stars!!

This book is full of adventure and passion with kindness and healing mixed into everything. I felt all the emotions while devouring this installment in the All Guts, No Glory series. Can't wait for the next one!

This is one of the most emotional books I’ve read in a long time. I have been waiting for Corey’s story since book one of this series. I needed to know what happened to break his heart and soul. Charissa Gracyk didn’t disappoint. She wrote his story with so much compassion and respect for PTSD and has done her research to help us understand what he and Sera are both going through.

After 20 years, Corey is still suffering from survivors' guilt and PTSD from the loss of his teammate and a hostage, that he promised to save who both died at the hands of terrorists. He retreated to the mountains of Montana living with a rescued a wolf pup, Storm, that he took home to feed and care for and became his loyal companion.

Sera is dealing with her own survivors guilt. She witnessed a mall shooting that she survived. Then she witnessed a murder where she worked when one of her bosses shot the other one. It turns out they were working for a Mexican cartel and didn’t agree with each other. She’s on the run with her cat from her boss and ends up sliding her car into a ditch in the mountains of Montana. She walks through the woods, looking for shelter from the snowstorm and finds a sick Corey laying face down in the snow just feet from his cabin. She helps him into his cabin and cares for him until he starts to feel better.

When Sera’s boss starts to get close to her, Corey vows to take care of her and introduces her to his team of fellow military retirees, and friends, the Motley Crew. They take on off the books assignments, and they have worked to eliminate this cartel before.

This story takes us from Mexico to Costa Rica as they race to find the people looking for Sera. There are unexpected twists and turns in the story, and there is no shortage of action!

Throughout all Corey and Sera begin to understand what each of them is going through and realize they are both suffering and need each other to heal.

The character development is as good as always from Gracyk. I think that Storm is the best animal companion I’ve read in any book. He’s not so much a pet as he is a companion and protector. The ending to this book is beautiful and will give you all of the feels. I would give this book a 10-star rating if I could!

Corey and Sera’s story had a feeling to it that I’ll never forget. From the emotional prologue to the deep connection between the main characters, I was invested in their HEA. My heart was beating like crazy from the beginning and throughout this book. There’s something emotionally satisfying about these two finding each other.
I felt like Corey and Sera were written as fated mates. The tragedies in their pasts left them suffering survivor's guilt and struggling with everyday living. The instant pull between them was a feeling of rightness. They heal each other in a way that family, friends, and beloved pets couldn’t.
My favorite scenes gave us a close-up look at their personalities through everyday interactions. They laughed and shared their life experiences and meals. Sera’s attempt to bond with Storm was adorable.
Charissa never fails to connect us to characters through words and feelings. She absolutely maintained the continuity of the series as she created this plot. I love that so many questions about the future of the crew members and their loved ones popped into my head as bits of details were dropped along the way. It certainly whet my appetite for more of The Motley Crew.

I was looking forward to reading Corey’s story and I loved it!
When Sera witnessed a murder she has to run for her life and wants to drive to Canada to her sisters house. She doesn’t now she’s being followed by the bad guys until it’s almost to late. She escapes and while driving through a snow storm gets stuck on a deserted mountain.
While looking for help she sees a cabin and a man lying unconscious in the snow.
She helps him inside the cabin and stays there to hide and look after him.
When Corey wakes up and recovers from the flu she tells him everything and he and his friends are going to help her stay safe and going after the bad guy.
Both Corey and Sera have emotional baggage and a heavy load of survivor guilt because of things happening in their past. They understand each other and start healing together.
Their love story is beautifull and emotional.
The action and suspense is thrilling and I really liked the plot.
This is my favorite series by the author!
I love the banter between Corey and his friends and looking forward to read the next book in the series! Can’t wait for Xander’s story!

This is an emotional read, so be prepared for needing tissues. Corey suffers from severe PTSD due to a mission gone wrong and has isolated himself to the extent that he works, goes home and repeats each day. The intensity of his pain and suffering is almost overwhelming for him and the reader feels his pain.
We meet Sera who after a tragedy battles nightmares, she witnesses a murder and realises her boss is collaborating with the cartel, so runs for her life. How they meet, why they meet, the fear and pain they both deal with are heartfelt. Their pets/care animals are outstanding; make you chuckle but you feel the support and comfort they give so you feel their warmth. How they fall in love, their intimacy plus the danger and intrigue keep the reader turning the pages to find out if they will get a HEA. The storyline and characters are strong, well thought out and I definitely recommend this is a book to read.

Corydon “Corey” Emerson was a former Nav Seal.
Sera was being hunted ans stalked.

Corey and Sera met when she stumbled into his cabin, running from bad man.
Corey and Sera have a tumultuous relationship with ups and downs.
Can they overcome the people stalking Sera?
Can they have a Happily Ever After?
You will have to read the book to find out, but you will not be disappointed!

This book has suspense, danger, intrigue and an emotional journey.

This book made me look at PTSD and former military members with new eyes. It is a story of hope, life, and love after surviving trauma. Both main characters suffer from PTSD for different reasons, and together, they find healing and hope for the future.

This story is packed with all the action, romance, and suspense you can expect from this author. I enjoyed seeing Corey get his happy ending and going on another adventure with the Motley Crew.

Corey’s Story is my favorite of this Series. Both Sera’s and his past left lasting effects. I love how these two souls heal each other.
This is a beautiful story about how the past doesn’t have to define your future. How the right person can help you heal and that love is amazing in all of this. But don’t forget the fury friends.

Well well

Well.... if this didn't bring my cold dead heart to life, break it and rebuild it again. These poor poor angels, so much trauma and pain they endured on their way to each other. It was sad, beautiful, strong and delightful. Definitely a rollercoaster of emotions this story. But as always. Beautiful ending we all needed. Loved it.

Through reading this All Guts, No Glory series I’ve gotten to know each of the Motley Crew members and was looking forward to Corey’s book. The most broken of these ex-military guys, suffering mostly in silence with PTSD, this was always destined to be as much emotional read as death defying action and Ms. Gracyk doesn’t disappoint.
Sera is the perfect partner for Corey herself suffering from guilt and nightmares after experiencing a tragedy, but when she witnesses a murder she knows she needs to pack herself and her cat up and go on the run bringing her into Corey’s path.
Apart from the action – and there’s plenty of it – there’s lots to like about their story; the tender relationship Sera and Corey build, the relationship she forms with Storm, Corey’s wolf, and Storm and Loki the cat, and the way these pets are members of their family.
After all they have been through and go through, I loved where they find themselves at the end of this story.
Fabulous reading!

We are back to the small town of Cielo Springs, Montana. It is here that a group of middle aged elite Special Forces warriors and a former CIA, have made their home as well as their own special brotherhood while adjusting to civilian life. They call themselves The Motley Crew and nowadays hire out to protect those in need .
Corey is one of these men. One that spends most of his time in his cabin with his faithful wolf. Not attaching himself to anyone because he still carries the guilt and PTSD of a mission that went wrong years ago.
Sera Darling is a woman whose life has been turned upside down in the past year. Surviving the unthinkable left her with PTSD and then when she witnesses a murder in her workplace, it sends her running for her life.
She ends up in Cielo Springs and in a snowstorm meets Corey.
As these two share space, Corey realizes Sera needs protection. It seems there is more to Sera’s danger than she first expected.
Can Corey protect her? Will the Motley Crew get drawn into the mix? If they survive, will Corey and Sera realize that they are stronger together?
This was another winner in the series.
The plot was engaging from the first page to the last. The main characters likable.
It was also a reminder of the traumas that many face today. One group are the brave military men and women who fight for our nation. As a country and individuals, more support is needed to help them integrate back to civilian life.
The other group are those individuals who survive a horrific experience . They too need the support and help from the nation and society.
Thank you to the author for those reminders.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Two souls broken by horrific tragedies, survivor guilt and PTSD. Corey Emerson is the literal "lone wolf". Two decades have passed since a war mission in the Middle East desert ended in the loss of two teammates and a rescued hostage Corey promised was safe. Corey fights the darkness of the past isolated in a Montana cabin with Storm, a wolf he rescued as a pup.
Sera Darling was in the wrong place at the wrong time twice in her life. Dealing with the aftermath of an active shooter situation, Sera hides in her job, unknowingly in a business linked to corrupt men. When she stumbles onto something she shouldn't , she flees with Loki, her cat.
A snowstorm, the big mountain man with the flu face down in the snow and bad guys chasing her, Sera finds her safety with Corey and Storm. Action movie feels with steam and heart.

This military romantic suspense story is book 4 in the All Guts, No Glory series by Charissa Gracyk. It has silver foxes that are fierce protectors, a little damaged, and despite the past baggage they carry, are capable of taking down the bad guys and winning the heart of the heroine. Corey and Sera's story is about hope in light of the darkness of PTSD and tragedy. It's finding the person that helps you heal while you do the same for them.

Personal sidenote, I will say that Storm is one of my favorite "characters" in the story. Wolves were very special someone dear to me. I love the way Gracyk showed the strength, loyalty and majestic beauty of these creatures.

Ever since I read the first All Guts, No Glory book, Corey has fascinated me. The most reclusive of the bunch, dealt with the worst of PTSD. And I mean, HE HAS A FREAKIN’ WOLF!!

This story starts with Corey having a PTSD episode and then baking up a storm. After visiting town, he heads back to his cabin, only to be struck down with the flu.

Sera is working at a shipping company in accounts. When she heads into the warehouse to check on some discrepancies, she finds her bosses arguing and witnesses one shoot the other.

She goes on the run and her car breaks down in Montana during a blizzard. She finds her way to Corey’s cabin and nurses him back to health. When Corey and his team find out about the circumstances of her leaving San Diego and find a team hunting her they start investigating and find the shipping company is in league with the Lazaro cartel.

As Corey and Sera fight their way thru their demons to their HEA, once again Charissa Gracyk has given us a story full of emotion, complex characters, humor, moments that will make you cry at the suffering our military experience as a result of what they experience overseas.

Charissa is one of my one-click pre order authors, and I 15/10 recommend you pick this one up and read it! I am very much waiting on tenterhooks for the rest of the team to fall… it will be an All Guts, No Glory ride!

This books deals with the real impact PTSD can have on a person. Corey is ex-military who went through a hair raising experience and now has found refuge with a wolf on a mountain in a cabin in the woods. Corey is not one who is very social and cannot be around crowds for very long as his PTSD was traumatic and impacts his everyday life.

Corey is friends with other members of his team who are no longer in the military, but they take on missions that the government would not admit to taking.

Sara Darling witnesses a murder at her employer and has some PTSD due to a past shopping mall shooting. On the run from her employer who wants to tie up loose ends, she ends up crashing her car on the very mountain that Corey lives on. This begins the story of two damages souls who begin to heal each other from their past traumas.

There is action, romance and intrigue and such a wonderful read. As a mother of a son who suffers from PTSD, she treated this subject in a very real empathetic manner.

Oh WOW, I don't even know where to start with this one because I just loved it soooooo much! Truly. What did I love most? Hard to say, but I will try.
Two broken souls on a bit of a healing journey.
The added bits of humor and heat (oh my gah the heat...mmm!)
Storm (let's be real, he is exactly the star he deserves to be. 10 stars for the best wolf bestie)
The once again top tier action/adventure elements - this author always blows me away! Her cinema like writing style is simply THE best!
What else, what else....honestly, there isn't a single thing I don't love, wouldn't change a thing, I loved every second!
Now, there are a couple things I am uber curious to hear more about (looking at you Xander and Jayson) but I am more than happy to wait, I have no doubt it will be well worth it. Thanks to the author for once again knocking my socks off - you might have outdone yourself with this one. I would be remiss if I didn't also thank her, yes again, for the bits of wisdom sprinkled throughout - I teared up more than a few times. Maybe this book even healed me a bit too.

Book 4 in the All Guts No Glory Series by Charissa Gracyk!

This entire series has been amazing, but I have to say, Corey and Sera are my favorite!
If you read the others, you would have met Corey already but something about him just pulled at me!
Suffering from PTSD, Corey finds himself hiding in his cabin away from everyone and everything or that was his plan!
Sera finds out her boss is not a good man and after witnessing a shooting, takes off knowing she was in danger if she stayed.

Running without thinking, Sera’s car breaks down, but she is determined to keep going. She makes her way to the cabin that Corey calls home, only to find him sick with the flu. During this time they spend together they find themselves drawn to one another but with so many demons between them, they will have to work together to overcome them.

Charissa Gracyk always gives her best in her books and knowing this, I can’t wait to see what is next!

I have enjoyed this series of older heroes and their HEAs. Corey was special, dealing with PTSD from his time as a Naval SEAL mission gone wrong, he has determined that he will spend his life alone instead of burdening anyone with his "problems." He lives in seclusion with his wolf, Storm. Sera is suffering from her own survivor's guilt and PTSD. Through a series of circumstances, Sera ends up at Corey's cabin. Yes, it's instalove, which I do not mind. Yes, there is suspense, and the Motley Crew is called into action to handle the trouble that Sera inadvertently stumbled into. It's all fun, sweet, exciting, and a delicious HEA at the end. If you love your alphas at all ages, this series is for you. I do believe Corey and Sera are my favorite so far, their journeys to find their way out of the darkness of PTSD is very touching.

This story has it all! A troubled protector hero, a woman on the run, danger at every turn, a love that heals, plus two amazing fur babies to share it all with!

Broken heroes are my favorite kind and Corey stole my heart from the beginning. Having been through something so harrowing, he more than deserved his HEA.

Sera’s journey was just as beautiful to watch unfold. She had her own dark past to contend with and Corey was the perfect man to pick up the broken pieces of her. Because not only did he understand them, he treasured them.

It made me gasp, smile, cry. This book is a wonderful love story you’ll want to read again and again!

I Loved this book! 5-stars.
Charissa Gracyk does not disappoint with All Guts, No Glory - Corey BK4. Not only are Corey & Sera one of my favorite couples; but this is hands-down one of my favorite books - EVER! Charissa took 2 broken people that each suffered through horrible tragedies and fit them together perfectly with LOVE as the superglue that fixes them, making them stronger together. I may have cried a little.
Ya- I cried. And now I want a pet wolf named Storm.

This book can totally be read as a standalone but I highly recommend starting with Brandon's book to get a little more of the back stories for all of the characters.
