This story was really great and I just loved and enjoyed Jillian and Chase's story about their little girls Abby and Marianne.. I know that I don't know what I would have done if the whole babies being swapped at Birth thing would have happened with me as it did with them but I am definitely glad that everything had worked out for them and they had gotten their happily ever after. I also applaud the ones who this has really happened too.

Una historia muy sencilla, pero creo que le falto algo más.

3 Stars! ~ On a stormy night three years ago, the maternity ward at the local hospital was brimming with women about to give birth. Jillian shared her room with another woman, and almost to the minute they gave birth to daughters. A nurse was assisting Jillian, while the doctor was busy with her roommate. As the babies were placed in their carts, the power went out and there was a delay in the generator kicking in. And in the confusion, did the right name get put on the right baby?

Chase, now a widower, knows that his wife didn't cheat on him. The daughter he raised must belong to the woman who shared the birthing room that stormy night. He has to let her know that her daughter is ill and needs her, and he needs to be with his real daughter. Jillian's also widowed, and raising her daughter on her own hasn't been easy but she's learnt to be independent and not ever need help from any one. Following Chase back to where her real daughter is, Jillian is caught up in the events of the past, and tries desperately to find what's right for both children.

Jillian and Chase are both likable characters but I found something lacking. I really didn't get pulled emotionally into this story as I thought I would. I enjoyed the story well. The two little girls are adorable and well written. The story resolves as expected but left a sense that something was missing. I suppose I was looking for a bit more intensity.

It wasn't bad but there are like two other novels that are so similar, it isn't even funny. I did enjoy reading this one but I felt the emotions were minimal.

The author dealt very well with a subject that holds a lot of fear for parents. Thankfully, hospitals work very hard to keep this from happening in real life.
