A discovery buried in the past. A truth too dangerous to reveal.
When historian and explorer Chris Woodstone joins an excavation deep in the mountains of Mexico, he expects to unearth relics of a lost civilization. Instead, his team stumbles upon something far more mysterious—and unsettling.
Returning home, Chris finds himself at the center of a growing storm. His memories don’t match the official report. And the deeper he digs for answers, the more he realizes that someone—or something—doesn’t want the truth to be known.
Caught between his own unraveling mind and the shadowy forces working against him, Chris faces a accept the safe, simple version of events… or risk everything to uncover what really happened.
Perfect for fans of historical mysteries, conspiracy thrillers, and stories that blur the line between fact and the unexplainable, this gripping novel will pull you in—and make you question everything you think you know.
Born and raised in Ukraine. I write rarely, but when I do, it consumes me entirely—I can’t focus on anything else until the manuscript is finished. English is my third language, which adds to the challenge, but that only makes it more rewarding when something good comes out of it.
My writing journey began after I enrolled in the Marine Academy—a decision that ended in spectacular failure. The experience was so absurd and funny that I had no choice but to write about it. And so, my first novel, "Marinizm", was born—inspired by my own fiasco and my admiration for Charles Bukowski.
My latest works include "ICE: A Survival Novella", a tribute to my granddad, and "The Happy World of Unhappy People", a humorous book meant to slow down the rushing crowd, give folks a different perspective on happiness, and remind them they’re doing just fine. While I don’t set out to teach anyone, this book naturally leans toward the self-help genre—so be it.
My biggest dream is to write a dystopian novel that exposes the darkest flaws of human nature—lies, relentless oppression, and the crushing of individuality. Having lived through a revolution, a regional war, and then a full-scale war, I’ve seen enough of them. Maybe one day…
This book had some interesting twists I didn't expect. The plot had more surprises than I thought it would. I wish the book was longer or there was a book 2.
Wow...So glad this was free, but not in a good way! Reading it, I was thinking "when is he going to light up a cigarette next?" because it seemed to be the primary thing the main character did. Thankfully, it was a very short read. It was well edited - I didn't find a bunch of grammatical errors - but dang it was not a good plot. Would not recommend.
