Sky Silvers thought all she had to worry about was how to pass her final exams and still make it to her friend’s house warming party. She was never expecting that she would have to deal with an unexpected pregnancy and the backlash that comes from sleeping with a celebrity.
But here she was. Pregnant with Blake Evan’s child. The plastic surgeon to the stars and one of television’s most charming talk-show correspondents. His smile could melt a room and his eyes could pierce through hearts.
And he would do anything to keep from a scandal.
So when Sky meets Alexander Cruz, the Brazilian rockstar assistant working for Blake, she falls harder for him than with anyone ever before, but she is constantly reminded of the one man she is trying to forget.
Will Sky be able to overcome her hurdles and find happiness with Alexander? Or will Blake, stopping at nothing to make sure his image isn’t tarnished, threaten to ruin them both?
**Recommended for 18+ due to sexually graphic scenes and adult language.
This is Book Three (a New Adult Romantic Suspense) in The White Coat Series. It can also be read as a stand-alone story without a cliffhanger but for full enjoyment and avoidance of spoilers, it is recommended to read the series in order.
D.D. Parker lives on the perpetually sunny west coast with a fat cat and an affinity for Netflix marathons. Writing is Parker's passion and always has been since the ripe age of twelve, when Parker hit the internet and spent hours roleplaying as fictional characters, writing stories, and creating adventures. Today, Parker writes New Adult fiction after years of reading Young Adult and wanting something with more adult themes.
Sky is the girl that is afraid, shy, has an attitude when need be. All she wants is someone to love her for the woman she is. Circumstances and over-all dumb decisions find her in despair. She doesn’t realize that happiness can happen to her if only she believes.

Connor her brother has his own secrets that have come more to the forefront in this 3rd book of the White Coat Series. He has always been Sky’s rock no matter the circumstances and in this book he doesn’t fall short. Will this couple find happiness together or apart? Will the sex get hotter than the car windows they fog up? These are questions that you will so find out by picking up your copy of the fantastic read. Don’t say I didn’t worn you.
D.d. Parker did it again. She did one awesome hot job with a homerun of a book. She keeps surprising me with every book that she writes that I can’t wait to find out what happens next. She writes with passion and dedication. She is able to take the most complex situations that she writes about and make them what every girl wants in a fantasy at least with certain doctors. Is it hot in here?
Monitored is book 3 of the White Coat Series, and it's the story of Sky Silvers. The storyline in this one in interconnected with Numbed, there are various events that occur in the previous installment, but now you get to see it from Sky point of view. So it's essential to have read Prescribed and Numbed before reading this.
I have to say that so far this is the best of the three installments. The story was more fluid, you get more of back story of H/h, so it was more relatable and enjoyable. At it was on the other two books, the author gave voice to some serious topics, like unwanted pregnancy, adoption, abortion, depression, to mention some.
The author growth it's shown such in this one. IMO in the last book I feel that the issues were solved a little to quick, with this one the author took more time to develop/solved the issue without instantly solving it or overly drawn it out either. There were some minor misspellings but nothing it can be overlook.
I really like this story, and it left me wanting to know more, so I hope that the next one, that will cover Connor story, we get to see more of Sky and Alexander. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE....
Sky Silvers thought all she had to worry about was how to pass her final exams and still make it to her friend’s house warming party. She was never expecting that she would have to deal with an unexpected pregnancy and the backlash that comes from sleeping with a celebrity plastic surgeon.
Blake didnt want a baby and Sky will find out he will do everything in his power to make sure it doesnt happen. So when Sky meets Alexander Cruz, the Brazilian rockstar assistant working for Blake, she falls harder for him than with anyone ever before, but she is constantly reminded of the one man she is trying to forget.
*I love the twists and turns this book has. I knew Blake was a jerk but wow! Alexander Cruz is a dream man. All kind loving attentive and all around amazing. I have found my new book boyfriend. If only the book lasted just a little bit longer. I don't think I've had my fill of Alexander just yet. I cant wait for Connor's story. That is sure to be heart breaking. DD Parker is an amazing author. Her books have the perfect amount of romance, sexy scenes and suspense with a dash of drama. I loved everything about this book. Even though it is a stand alone its better if you read Prescribed and Numbed first. This book shares some scenes with Numbed.
To be very, very frank... I'm disappointed with this book. :/
The plot is twisted and very confusing. I didn't like what happened from the start... I wanted to stop reading it, but it was intriguing enough to hold my attention.
From the start of the book, I believe that the main character, Sky has been making bad choices after another. It's just so unbelievable. To me, she's one selfish and really darn confused woman. The other characters are equally annoying. I had high hopes for Alexander, but he's just..ugh.. I can't even begin to describe what he did that I can't really forget.
The conflict just also kept piling up after one mystery to another. The pages weren't enough to explain everything properly. This is one book that shouldn't have been a novella. Maybe if it was longer, I would appreciate all conflicts, mysteries and lies.
All in all, this made for an intriguing hour, but I can't say I liked what I read.
Book 3 was really enjoyable. Sky's story was the best of the series thus far. The writing was improved and the story, while still a lot of drama, was better developed than previous installments. The story was told from Sky's POV and occurred simultaneously with Jason's story (Numbed). The character's issues were not instantly solved but not overly drawn out either. Good pace, interesting story, and great lead up to Connor's story.
This is the 3rd book in the series. Thus far the best out of the series. The characters are stronger and more detail. A few grammatical errors. One part I ago in weak was the climax of finding out that the assistant was ordered to watch her. She should have been more distraught and more upset. Over all I enjoyed the story. I do hope to read the next one.
