Wrath MC #1

Sleepless Nights

Rate this book
I’ve been living two lives for the past seven years.
One with Victor and the other with Damien.

Victor I’ve known all my life. When his parents died he even came to live with my family and I. I was so in love with him. It wasn’t until years into our relationship I started to see the faults in him. Then he went off to Iraq.

Damien was the bad boy biker at our high school. Even while I was with Victor, I couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. Then I got on the back of his bike and I thought I finally found my home. Then Victor came back wounded.

That was all five years ago and now those two lives and my two loves are starting to converge. I don’t know who I am anymore and I don’t know who I want to be with. Though these two guys won’t let me be single for long.

But one of them has gotten me into a lot of trouble with the mob. And now it’s up to the other one to save me. And before you roll your eyes, that statement isn’t what you think. You’ll be surprised who the bad guy really is.

I promise to find my happily ever after, even if it’s at the Wrath MC clubhouse in the arms of an alpha biker or in the high society world where I was born and in the arms of my ex-army man.

Ashley Southerland was here.

*For readers 18+. There is a HEA. No cliff hanger. Also theres a sexy biker man who is happy to melt your panties off.

I live in southern Arkansas with my husband and young daughter. There is also an insane Boston Terrier running around. I've always been a lone wolf and find my friends in books. I started writing at a young age and I haven't stopped since. Most days you can find me either glued to my laptop or my kindle. My first novel, This Beautiful Thing was an Amazon best seller for 11 weeks and a year later I'm still tickled to see people enjoy it. I may not be a huge seller but I have the best fans ever and I thank God everyday for every single one of them.

Damien "Rage"Daniels was prospecting for his father's MC Club, Wrath when he met Ashley Southerland for the first time. Ashley was transfer to a public school after too many fights. At first he thinks he wants her and it is just lust but after getting to know her, he knew it was more than that.

“Then, Glossy, one second wouldn’t go by that you weren’t my girl. There aren’t a lot of things I know in life, but I knew the right girl for me the second I met her.”

When Ashley is with Damien, she feels free.

“And the weirdest thing happens. I feel at home, like I was meant to be on the back of his bike.”

She is herself but her first love has always been Victor. The guy who stole her heart and broke it when he left her to join the army with his best friend.
When Victor comes back to town after being hurt, Ashley feels the need to see him again and make sure he's ok. This implodes her relationship with Damien and after a couple of years, ruins hers with Victor.
When her life is in danger, the Wrath MC comes to her rescue. Nothing prepares her to see Damien after those 5 years have passed by.
Both men she has loved have crossed paths and now she is the one that needs to make her final decision.(Pick Damien please!!!)

“You and me are forever. End. Of. Fuckin’. Story.”

My thoughts:

Damien, the first time you showed up I wanted you to win. I was rooting for you, buddy.

I love Damien. I'm a sucker for MC guys and reading his POV made me like him even more. He fell hard for Ashley and when doubts troubled his relationship he gave her up. He won't do that again. He's there for the long haul.

“You’re always my girl. I’ve always loved you. I could never stop no matter how much I drank. No matter how far I drove, your laugh followed me. The feel of you on the back of my bike, it’s with me every time I ride. I’d wake up in the middle of the night and reach for you. I’d dream about you comin’ on my dick. But I still wanna run away from you. You and me, we destroyed everythin’. Ain’t no comin’ back from that.”

Ashley "Glossy" was a good heroine, she's independent and didn't do stupid things. Well, maybe she did when she was with Victor. She tried not to put her life in danger more that it already was, is what I mean. I did get mad at her for hurting Damien.
Victor- I'm not sure I like you. You are manipulative and you were not really a nice guy to Ashley. I know there is more to you but some parts of you, I don't care for.

As you can see, I'm pretty clear on the guy I want to win. Now, you have to read it to find out for yourself.

“You promise to love me forever?” I whisper, staring into his deep blue eyes.
“I promise.” He kisses my temple then. “I haven’t stopped yet.

I want to mention that I never read the Make or Break series but the characters were mentioned here. Now, I have to go back and read it.

Sneak peek at the next book from the author:

"Kiss me," Victor whispers against my lips. "No." "Kiss me, dammit." I want to smile because there is nothing sexier than Victor when he's mad. " I said no." "Ashley...you better freaking kiss me," he murmurs, his honey eyes growing more intense with each refusal. "N.O." I spell out, knowing it'll drive him even crazier. We play this game, you see. We have since we were teenagers. Victor's the predator and I'm the prey. "I'm going to take what I want. You know I am." His voice gets sexier with each word that passes his lips. Ever since I left him ten months ago, I stopped being the good little prey. Yeah, I started fighting back. "Take it. I'll never give you what you want. I'm not your sweet little Ash anymore." He chuckles darkly, wrapping his arms around my waist. "You'll give me what I want. You always give me what I want." He nuzzles my nose and I can feel the sparks flying between us. "Now. Freaking. Kiss. Me."

This book had a great concept unfortunately, I felt the story in many areas weren't fleshed out very well. Too many things happening, and too many key players for a 13 chapter book.

I felt that the mob friend wouldn't or shouldn't know about the Lux series or who the author was, and commenting about how Daemon Black is a dreamy guy. Isn't he supposed to be scary, badass, mob style guy? How family business is with drugs, whorehouses and killing. Not reading YA books.

I felt that too many key players with their own partners and connections between the mob, MC and the rich people was all just too much.

First things first I got to ask, did Amanda ever write the Lola and Ryan book? Cuz I only see the MC1, not two.

So with all the whiplash, and confusion, I finally got through this book. Now I can double back and go and read the last part of book 4 of make or break.

And that's another thing, from what I understand there were supposed to be other books about the kids. Again all this freaking confusion.

I thought I had it bad when I tried to read for psychos, I can actually finish that series now because of this series just rocked my head around a God damn pole and took off.

As I mentioned through my updates, this book would have been cool had it stayed on one maybe two timelines. However the POV from three different characters start to mess with my head when they were bouncing around different timelines. It would go forward, backward, present day, back, etc etc you get the point.

And I have to say it again, the author's note at the very beginning really pissed me off. Calling Ashley and Victor a passing reference in the make or break series was ridiculous. They are mentioned through the entire series. And he also take an active part in the series. Yeah sure it's all focused on them but in any of her books, is anyone actually the focus? Don't answer that. It was hypothetical. Or what's the word I was just being an ass. Even the one after what should have been a warning of this book. Meaning this book runs in tandem to their timeline. So calling him them so calling them a passing reference, really just pushed every single button possible.

Their story was a major player throughout the entire series of make a break. And the fact that the author pretty much wipes their history under the rug and expects us to just go with it? No that was wrong. Ashley and Victor were a huge part in all of their books. I just wish that she had told her readers in book 3 to watch for the MC book so then that way we would have all been up to date, and you know been able to follow along properly.

As I said before make or break two and three I loved. Amanda has it in her to be an incredible author, but for some deranged reason she really messed up with this book as well as book four of make or break.

I'd like to know what happens with Lola and ryan, but what book is it going to be in? This book is from 2014? So where is these other books? It's 2021. I would have thought that by now there would be something.

I want to say that I recommend the make or break series, and this series as well but I don't know if I can now. Because of how bad the author messed up her books at the end. She has potential. I will give her that. She does have the ability to bring you into the character's lives. Unfortunately she seems to forget that. She seems to forget that she knows how to do it. And that's disappointing.

I honestly don't know if I'm going to give any more of this series, if it ever shows up, or give any other series a test run or a chance. I want to say that I would, but as it stands right now I don't think I will. And that depresses me. Because I'm the type of person if I invest the time to read the stories and I want to be able to come back and say hey this is a great author you should read them.

How about I say this? If you have nothing else to do that day, have a read. They are short books, you should be able to get through them within a couple days.

Ashley & Victor from the Make or Break series & meet Damien

I don't always get into MC books due to a lot of adult situations taken place but I love this authors writing and when I found out it was Ashley and Victors story from the Make it series, I had to read it and so glad I took the chance.

"There will always be a place inside of me that loves you. It will always hold you close, but I can't let you hold me back anymore. I can't stand to live in the dark when I've seen the light."

This book was my favorite as the author as well. As reading it, it wasn't too hard to figure out real quick who you wanted Ashley to end up with, but at one point I wanted to say neither. This is about second chances and forgiveness with lots of suspense, hot alpha bikers and mobsters. You will be surprised who the bad guy actually is just like I did. We do get a HEA! Hope you enjoy!

"What kind of existence would I have without him? It would be dark and grey with no color."

I received this ARC as a gift in exchange from the author for an honest review and for a blog tour.

Ok, I'll fully admit that I wasn't really into reading this. I had it marked as 'maybe to read' but my buddy read buddy chose this and I went with it. At first, it was a little slow going for me to get into it because my heart just wasn't in it to read this book. But then something happened. I guess I opened my eyes and started paying attention and the next thing I knew BAM! I can't put this book down to save my life! I'm fully engrossed in this story that is so much more than I expected! I was a little thrown at first with the flashbacks but once I got into the flow of things, it was all good.

Ok so we have a trio of main characters and a whole lotta side characters that were plain The Shit. First up is Ashley aka Glossy. She's the oldest of four, one being a half sibling not living with her, and the only girl. Even though her brothers are all younger than her, they're all protective. Coming from a family with money, she has a part to play. She hates this part. It just isn't who she really is. Her first love and high school sweetheart is Victor and she has a part he works her into playing as well. The nice, simpering female who's goal is to be The Best Little Housewife on the block. (they are in Texas ;)) Um no.

Up next is Victor. His parents were killed so he and his little sister go live with Ashley's family since her mom is his Godmother. At first we see a side of Victor that doesn't paint him in the best light. Then we'll see another side that makes that dark paint look like a big fat fucking black hole. If you can't tell, I don't like Victor much. I didn't like how he treated Ashley and maneuvered and manipulated her into being what he wanted and then got pissed she was that way. Mixed signals much?! I will admit, and I hope to God Lindsay doesn't read this part, that towards the late middle / end whenever we got V's pov I softened the minutest bit towards him but I still wasn't rooting for him to end up with Ashley. But they had a long and intricate history so there was a great chance that's how the author could play it.

Now we have Damien aka Rage. His dad is the local MC President and he's a biker in training. Yum. Damien is the total opposite of Victor. And he treats Ashley totally different too. They meet towards the end of their senior year so I guess he could be considered Ashley's second high school sweetheart. With Damien, Ashley can finally be the girl she wants to be. Brash, outspoken, strong and independent, wear non designer clothes, cuss, be free. He takes her on her first motorcycle ride and it's pretty much it from there.

And the weirdest thing happens. I feel at home, like I was meant to be on the back of his bike.

Damien may be a badass biker and do some not so legal things, but he loves Ashley and he shows it. He is a hot, sexy alpha, dirty talkin bad boy that I fell in fictional love with and I was rooting for him to be the one she ended up with from the first time I met him. And let me just say, Damien has got a way with the dirty words!

“Why do you want me to ride with you so bad?” After today, I could seriously see him pushing me off while driving down the road.

He sighs and comes towards me. He stops inches from my body and I suddenly feel electrified. His eyes pierce me with their intensity and then he lays it on me. “I want to kiss you, I want to fuck you, and I want you to touch me so bad I physically ache. I’m not goin’ to get the first two, so just get on the back of my bike. Wrap those arms around me and go for a ride. It’s all you can give me, so give it to me.”

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ Can we say SWOON!!! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

What I liked best about Damien for Ashley, was how made her feel from the very beginning.

I don’t feel the need to be the perfect girl my family wants me to be. I don’t feel like Victor’s needy girlfriend. I feel like me and I’m a fucking bird high in the sky, far above anything and everyone.

And when she's on his bike, It’s like going home every time.

In my opinion, that says it all.

Now back to the review. There was so much going on here there is no way I can explain some without ending up going into way too much detail and giving something else away. There were twists and turns and beatings and shootings and mafia appearances and angry moms and fighting and good sexin and drama drama drama. Some of the twists I kinda had a feeling about and some were pretty unexpected. I can honestly say that overall, this wasn't a predictable story. It kept me guessing and intrigued and I very much enjoyed it. The writing was really good and there were minimal editing issues that tend to bother me. It was a very unputdownable book for me and I am so glad I gave it a chance. I will definitely be checking out other books from this author, especially her Make or Break series since I have discovered it's Ashley's brothers books. And just a side note, you don't have to read that series first. This was a total standalone intro to a new series and I'm happy to report there's no cliffhanger. I would love to go into more detail, but as I said, I tend to get trigger happy and would spoil the surprise of who Ashley gets her much deserved happily ever after with. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by the ending. I also really enjoyed the epilogue and the sneak peek into the future. I really can't wait for more books in this series so I hope the author is in a writing cave slaving away for her readers!

I've read dozens of MC stories and a majority of them are all so...alike. Sleepless Nights was actually a refreshing change! I held the excitement, fun and action of most MC reads with the addition of an original and enjoyable story line that many fans of the genre will enjoy :)

Glossy had a bit of a bumpy start with figuring out who she truly was meant to be with. All very understandable when you love your best friend and have known them practically your entire life. Then there's the fact there's a life you're 'supposed to' live and the life you want/choose to live. Lots of decisions and proof of strength and loyalty are tested. Question is, which path will be chosen?

This was my first reading experience with Amanda Heath and will definitely not be my last. I really had a lot of fun within the story's pages and was actually pushing on my kindles button looking for more! An excellent start to a new series...

This started out tough.
So many characters that I lost track. Cousins, brothers, bikers, mob members. Too many.
Ashley was a great character though. She has been through alot and it was no thanks to Victor and Rage.

Those two made her life hard and heartbreaking.

There is only so much one person can go through before they finally break.

With Vic she was who he wanted her to be.
With Rage she was herself.

She hid her true self for so long that even her own family was in the dark.

I enjoyed it even with the huge amount of characters.

Will I read the next one? Absolutely

I LOVED this book. Very entertaining and full of drama. This a very different book compared to the other MC books I've read.. But I loved how original the author was with the story.

Damien my god I need the alpha male in my life. He's so damn sweet, thoughtful, and just amazing. I loved Ashley too even though sometimes I wanted to smack her.

I will definitely be reading the next story from this author.❤️❤️❤️

While the storyline was somewhat more complicated than the average MC book, the writing seemed more juvenile and didn't keep my interest.

4.5 Smoldering, Angsty Stars

Review by Lisa Kane

I love Amanda Heath's Make or Break series and this new one, the first of her Wrath MC series, is just as good!

We are somewhat familiar with Ashley and Victor from the Make or Break series. Ashley is Donovan, Courtney and Channing's sister. She and Victor have been on/off again for years. Most of their problems can be blamed on Annabella, Victor's sister. She has schemed her way through Ashley's entire family, creating havoc and Victor has done too little too late to reign her in.

In this story, they have been broken up for the a few years. Ashley is a veterinarian and has one scary, hot looking visitor come to her workplace. It's Storm one of Damian's MC brothers. This is our first mention of Damian and his relationship with Ashley. In a series of flashbacks we find out that these two have had history with one another since high school. His father is Blade, the Prez of the Wrath MC. During one of Victor's deployments to Afghanistan, Ashley realized she didn't want to be with him anymore. Meanwhile, Damian has been flirting with her, not knowing she had a boyfriend. Once he finds that out, he may want her, but cheating is a hard No for him.

Eventually Ashley lets Victor know via a letter that she is done with him putting her second. She knows he went into the Army to be with his friend Talon, without any thought to her at all. Who does that? Not to mention, he left Ashley to babysit Annabella and her crazy ass. They may have had amazing sex, but they have very little else. Ashley has held back on confiding an important fact from him. She always thought if he found out, he would leave her. But she finally believes she is special, someone that deserves to be put first in a relationship. If she waits to tell him in person or via Skype, he will try to talk her out of this. So break up by way of a letter. Once Damian finds out that Ashley is now single, it's game on!

These two settle into a relationship; Damian thinks of her as his old lady. Knowing that Victor is coming home soon and will be pressuring her to come back to him, Ashley tells Damian in a drunken stupor that she wants them to marry. Knowing there is no way he is letting soldier boy get her back, he follows through and the two are man and wife.

But when Victor comes back, severely injured, Ashley wants to go see him, to make sure he is okay. She may not be in love with him anymore, but they were together for years, Unfortunately, Damian does not see things that clearly. If she goes, he will be gone. And that was pretty much the end of them.

Over the years Ashley tried to get him to talk to her, he refused. After a long time had passed, she went back with Victor. She tries to get a divorce from Damian, but he won't budge. Victor has been running some games with Talon, making enemies in high places and is putting Ashley and her family in the crossfire.

Now five years later, Ashley is being held by the MC over Victor and Talon's actions. Victor is into some bad things and is spiraling out of control. The story is told from Ashley, Damian and Victor's POV's and boy does Victor have secrets. Secrets that made me hate his character. He was a control freak with Ashley, and demanded so much of her but he was a total liar about everything going on in his life. Was he always this selfish or did losing Ashley cause him to really lose it?

Damian has never gotten over Ashley. No amount of booze or club whores could change that and now that she is back, he isn't going to let her go so easily. He even brings her dog to the club so she has him close by. This guy may have screwed up royally, but it is so obvious he loves her. But there are so many complications in their life, how can it work out? Do they even want to risk their hearts again? Caught between both men, who will Ashley choose?

I loved this book and am thrilled that Amanda Heath has a whole new cast of characters with their upcoming stories. This one has the mob, hot bikers, tons of steam, great humor and dialogue and is quick moving! And this one's epilogue- *sighs*

4.5 Bad-Ass Biker Stars

Sleepless Nights was one of the best MC novels I’ve read and for only 99 cents, this book is a steal. When it comes to a badass biker and their clubs it’s win or lose for me and very early on I could tell I was going to be pleased. This book can be read as a stand-alone as it is the start of a new series but there are character cross-overs from previous books so if you want more from an author who can actually write an MC book than I'd say give them a shot. However, this is the only book from this author I've read so feel free to give them a shot and let me know.

The story’s heroine Ashley may look like the perfect, primped rich girl she portrays but then again we all know better than to judge a book by its cover. Ashley’s childhood was anything but normal, especially when her mother takes in two additional kids Victor and Annabelle. Throw in her overprotective younger brothers and Ashley can’t seem to find a minute of privacy to save her life. Then again she never expected to become BFF’s with Victor or for that friendship to turn into more.

Over the years Victor and Ashley continue their relationship and in Ashley’s case she thinks all is well. Until Victor informs her he is enlisting with his best friend, the same best friend he is always with, the one who appears to be more important to Victor than she is. At this point the pair are in their senior year of high school and the last thing Ashley wants to do is be with a man who can’t appreciate her. Though she doe4sn’t want to be ‘that girl’, the one sending her BF a Dear John letter, once she meets the son of the Wrath MC President, nothing much matters than spreading her wings.

Ashley blows Damien out of the water with all the preconceived notions he had about her, he never expected someone so witty and brave. In fact the way she doesn’t cower in his presence is nothing but a turn on to him. They really complement each other well and with the dual POV’s we get to see what a deep and thoughtful man Damien really is, sure he’s hardened in the life, but he’s faithful, possessive and deliciously sexually controlling. YUM!

The timeline was a bit wonky for me. The book starts in the present day when Ashley hasn’t seen Damien in five years or Victor for two. When a fellow member of the MC comes to steal Ashley away for her protection we are finally taken back in time to see how it all began with both Victor and Damien. Chapters later and we are once again on track only now we know why the animosity and long time separations between Ashley and Damien. At this point I was mildly pissed at Damien. I think he behaved irrationally and whined like a child and let the world go on without fighting for what he wanted. Very disappointing, especially when it takes so long for them to reconnect.

Let me be clear that this is not a love triangle and it is certainly not a menagerie. At differencing points in the book Ashley is with either character and for that time in her life it works out for her. As far as plotline, I enjoyed the tension but the naiveté of Ashley often had me grinding my teeth. Though I do give her credit for being so ballsy and not scared for her life, even when facing the murderous rage of pissed biker.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to continue the series. We meet the characters from the next book and it does seem like their timeline will be all over the place as it was in Sleepless Nights. MC books are becoming overly popular and many are just bad, plain and simple. Sleepless Nights worked with an original storyline and focused more on the relationship between the characters and all the secrets than it did on the club. I could have used a bit more insight into the club especially when we were in Damien’s POV but alas the book was overall pleasing and I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for another alpha biker to drool over.

Book 1 in the new Wrath MC series

I have to say I was really eager to read this book.. As you know this is my genre; throw in a love triangle and I am in book heaven. But would I be floating in memories of men in leather? or would I fall to earth with a thud? time to find out.

This book tells the story of Ashley, a girl from a privileged background but also someone that has personal issues. The oldest child and sister to 3 brothers, she has grown up fast and learnt to be tough. Finding herself chucked out of her expensive school and straight into the local public one, she soon catches the eye of Damien, local bad boy and son of the President of the Wrath MC. Ashley though has a long term boyfriend Victor who she has grown up with and is extremely loyal to. However when Victor informs her that he is shipping of over seas to join the military following and placing his best friend Tallon ahead of her, Ashley questions his loyalty to her and decides it might be time to do something for herself and in particular get to know Damien a little better.

I am going to stop at this point as this is a very complicated story and it would be very easy to start giving away spoilers. It is a love triangle, but a little different as well with Mob links, family ties and of course a scary MC. So on one hand you have Damien otherwise known as Rage, the biker and all round bad boy and then you have Victor, the rich and seemingly perfect boyfriend. Ashley is no good girl though and all is not what it seems in this set up. What I will say is that not everything is as it seems, loyalties will be tested, mistakes will be made and lies told. Amanda Heath has spun a complex tale, so you will need your head in the game to pick your way through it.

I will be honest and say yes I liked this book but I certainly didn't love it. I found it a little over complicated, with too many characters to keep track of. This wasn't helped by an erratic time line, which I will readily admit I'm not a fan of a the best of times. For me it didn't work and confused me further. However my biggest beef was that I felt there was something missing and I soon found out when I looked at the authors back catalogue. This is a new series but a lot of the characters, in particular Ashley's brothers feature in her Make or Break series; I really wished I'd known that going in. Yes, this is a whole new series but the depth the characters lacked and the back stories that I felt were skimmed over were in fact there. If I had known that then I would of read them and I honestly feel that it would have improved my reading experience and thus my rating. I would recommend anyone thinking of 1-clicking this book to consider this before starting Sleepless Nights.

I liked the characters that she has created but again because of the amount of personnel and there twisted, complicated and sometimes confusing connections with each other I found it difficult to feel fully emotionally invested in them. I did like Damien and I also found Tallon and Van to be interesting characters, so I certainly will look forward to seeing where she takes their stories or indeed if she pursues them further.

So I suppose the big questions will be: Do I recommend it? and will I be reading book 2. I will answer them both with a - YES!; I think that now I know more about the connections and relationships, book 2 will be an easier, less confusing read; In fact I really look forward to reading Ryan and Lola's story. I can't emphasis enough though that you should think about reading the Make or Break series before this book. I will certainly be doing so, and with good ratings I think it will certainly be worth it.

I commend Amanda Heath for a good, complex and interesting storyline. I just wished that I had known the characters a little more.

Sleepless Nights is the first book in the Wrath MC Series but it’s also a spin off from the Make or Break series which I love!!! Here a link to my review of the most recent book in that series Save Me.

I was lucky enough to have been given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review so here goes...

I wasn’t expecting this book to be about Ashley from the Make or Break series but I’m so glad that it was!!!

I always felt like Ashley’s story was unfinished and unresolved and god it really, really was!!!
I love badass Ashley!!!

I will be honest I didn’t particularly like Victor in the Make or Break series and I officially hate everything about him in this book!!!

I’m not sure he has many redeeming qualities but I could list all the things that make him a proper asshole!!!

Now Damian he is a different story!!! I love me a badass, bad mouthed biker boy and Damian is a hunk a chunk of sex god!!!

I love that Damian was a bit alpha and Christ the sex was seriously steamy!!

Ashley officially has a split personality because she actually behaved like she was two different people. I hated Ashley when she was with Victor, I wanted to shout at her and tell her she became a doormat whenever she was around him.

Now Ashley when she is with Damian is bold and fearless and a bit of a sex kitten, the way Amanda Heath wrote her character was like she turned on Ashley light switch and her personality because bright and vibrant.

I love Chutney & Lola and I can’t wait to read their books, Lola’s story I already know I’m going to love!!!

God talk about sexual chemistry Ashley & Damian actually spark off one another and you could feel the tension between them. I loved the banter and fighting between them, passion is the best type of foreplay and whether they were loving or hating they were always passionate about it!!

This book had loads of twists and turns and was brilliantly written, I really liked how the flash backs only revealed small amounts so the reader is constantly waiting for the next bit of history to reveal itself.

It was great to have a bit of action as well but it didn’t over shadow the romance, the mob vs. the bikers!!

What the hell is going on with Talon!!! I think he and Chutney will end up together but that’s gonna be a hell of a love story!!

This book sucks you in and spits you out the other side but in the very best of ways lol!

I received this ARC yesterday, I started it straight away and couldn’t put it down this book gets an easy 5 stars from me!!

Ashley, Victor, Damien and a whole crapload of brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles, mother and fathers...and so many storylines and plot twists that I almost had trouble keeping all the siblings names straight (add in the biker's road names and OMG...LOL)!!
BUT...I really liked this book a lot...it was complex and the story spanned over a long period of time, so there was more character development and a depth to the individual relationships that we don't always see in a biker romance novel.
When you mix high ranking politicians, the MOB and a biker club that pretty much runs the town, you know you're in for some excitement and thrilling plot twists. Add in to this the fact that the major players all have kids who become involved with each other romantically and things definitely became a battle of wills...with nobody safe from injury or death.
I was a little unsure if I liked how Ashley handled her dual relationships with her old long-time BF Victor (who went to the dark side with the Mob) and her husband Damien (who ran with the Wraths, his father's club)...since so many problems could have been resolved with more communication and less running away from everything.
But it all ended in a way that I was pleased with...people that deserved to die, did...and those who felt like they would never have the happiness they deserved, got to have it and more.

**** 4 **** "torn between two loves" stars

This MC book is great!! it's like on hyper drive! it moves incredibly fast with sooooo much in it... there are bikers, the MOB, and the women in it are not your meek and tiny wall flowers.. they are strong willed women... they are super tough, and make you laugh too!

Amanda Heath is awesome at writing a gritty, sarcastic and funny MC story!

This story is based around Ashley. she has lived a sort of double life, and she has loved two different men.
One is a rich white boy, they other is a bad ass sexy biker...

i know i know.. best of both worlds right??? i would have had to figure out how to make it work for the three of us if i were in the same situation..lol don't lie!! you would too!!! lol

so this story is about facing your mistakes, and trying to rectify them, searching for you very happiness... but can it be done?? how can you choose from two men you love??

take a walk on the wild side and read this...

The title really made sense to me towards the end of the story when things started twisting and the journey's started to change and let me tell you it was for the best the way it ended although I feel as if I could get more from the characters in this one I know it was time for others to have a turn. I'm just crossing my fingers for more please!!! Full of hottness this is one story that I know will be read again and again by me and for every biker romance lover this is one story that will be a little more easier and nice to take a break from all the roughness then normal. The author really did an outstanding job with the characters and the story line.

I absolutely loved this book. I love biker stories and I thought this was gonna be the same kinda thing but it was so refreshingly different. I ended up reading this in one sitting. I seriously could not put it down. Bribery worked with the kids while reading this:)

Ok I'm not gonna say much about the storyline as I don't wanna spoil it. I will say I loved the main characters and the secondary characters too. This looks like a very promising new series.
The twists and turns had me gripped and gasping at my kindle.

Loved the epilogue. Hope we don't have to wait too long for the next in the series. No cliffhanger so I highly recommend 1-clicking now.

It was a good read. A great deal of the ground work was confusing and seemed to keep coming out as the story progressed. A bit more negative and at times very unnecessary, dialogue going on inside her head. Sorry to say while I got thru this book, I have no desire to read any more in this series.

I enjoyed this book , I really did... the thing that bothered me though is that the three other books we read with Ash and Victor were NOTHING like the real them, they were COMPLETELY different characters. I guess that’s sneaky or brilliant on the authors part but instead it made me disappointed in them . Especially Victor who I hated, loathe and hated even more. The way he he was presented before was loving and protective of Ashley. Well no...he was a total douche and I’m kind of mad that the author made us believe he was one thing when he wasn’t. I also really hated the whole “brown eyed girl “ story and how he kept saying he was settling for Ash because he couldn’t have her. To me after all his shit he deserved to have his heart broken by Ashley not to just wrap up the end and say “ it’s ok , I also love someone else too and I’ve never loved you like that”. I understand this is how Ashley felt towards Damien but at least she broke up with him first because she realized how manipulative and controlling he was and told Vic about him and how he was going to be hard to get over ( I wish she would of told him about the marriage however).

I don’t get how Damien could buy a house and constantly check on ( or spy) on Ash but not know they she had broken up with victor 2 yrs before, how is that even possible? I also don’t understand the need for Victor to give up everything to go do all these things with Talon. I seriously thought at one point we were going to discover Vic and as bi-sexual because the whole thing didn’t make sense. Also, who is stupid enough to take on the mob themselves? The whole biker gang plus the mob was too much ( should of been one or the other).

I don’t like how Ashley was two different people. I didn’t trust who she was because every part of her was portrayed as something entirely different before. I don’t think it would of been that easy for her to come across as so different to her family, after all she lived with her brothers everyday of her life but for the last little while but they never heard her say fuck?

I did love Damien but I think him kicking Ashley out and it lasting 5 yrs because she went to see her wounded ex was absolutely ridiculous. It should of been a week long argument not a 5 yr separation.

I do want to read about Chutney though... I do hate it when I read a book series and get invested in the characters and a book is advertised as “ coming soon” THREE YEARS AGO. I mean don’t tell us there will be another and then wait 3 years with no word!!!

Damien "Rage"Daniels was prospecting for his father's MC Club, Wrath when he met Ashley Southerland for the first time. Ashley was transfer to a public school after too many fights. At first he thinks he wants her and it is just lust but after getting to know her, he knew it was more than that.

Ashley comes from money and being that she feels as if she is supposed to be a particular way due to what and how her mother has raised her. She knows that there is something about her that wants to be different. But how can she allow herself those wants and not affect her immediate family. Her first love or the one that she though was her first love is Victor. She has had feeling for him since she was a young girl. But after many a heartaches and some trying times she finds that he isn't her first or one true love and does she really know him at all?

Damien was captivated with Ashley from the first time he saw her at her locker applying lip gloss and nicknamed her just that "Glossy". She stole his heart and he refused even after she left him to give it to another woman. For Rage, Glossy was the only girl. He knew her inner battles and hoped that one day she would see the light. But, for her she thought that he was long gone and she thought that she could never have that back for numerous reasons.

I enjoyed reading Rage and Glossy's story. I can say that Victor made me want to personally kill him. The twist of Ashley's love and how she thought things would or should be to be accepting for her family is probably her biggest challenge. I wished that this book would have been a bit longer because it seemed like the writer tried to put to much into too little space. Because of this I kinda felt as if the story was rushed a bit and Damien and Ashley don't get their proper amount of time together. Other than that, I loved the way that she wrote each character and how she linked all the players in the book together in some form or fashion. it really did play out like a small town story in that essence. Will I recommend this book to read yes without a doubt, will I reread it.. probably not.. it did not push me into the WOW place.

I absolutely LOVED this book!! I have read Amanda's Make or Break Series so I was already familiar with Victor and Ashley. I knew they had problems in their relationship and had even broken up over Victor's sister Annabelle but HOLLLY Crap, when you learn what is really going on your jaw will drop to the floor! I was rooting for them to work it out and make their way back to each other....but that was until I met Damian aka Rage.

I love that once Ash meets Damian she begins to open up. Damian makes her feel free and with him she is a totally different person and such a badazz!! When Ash and Damian have their misunderstanding and are apart for so long it breaks my heart. I was yelling at both of them to just talk and work it out but in the end, I am so very happy with the way things go and I so did not want this book to end!! That epilogue was perrrfect!!!

I love Lola and Chutney so I am so excited for their stories. I have a pretty good idea who Rage's brother in law is so I can't wait to hear his side of things. I also loved catching up with all the characters from The Make or Break Series. It was good to see Ashley interact more with her brothers as well. I was laughing my butt off in the end when she was putting them in their places :)

I am so addicted to these two series and I can't wait for more!! AWESOME job Amanda!!

I am a hugh fan of MC biker book, thats my favorite genre to read, so I was so excited to get my hands on a new one. The synopsis was great and it sucked me in. Thats were that ended. Too much was going on for the book to be so short. You have the mob and the MC and the rich people. It got hard to keep up with everyone. I still dont know who some of the people were.

What bothered me the most was how Damien and Ashley's relationship went after Victor came back.(that's all im saying about that) I hated Victor hated him. He was a d**k. This book wasn't even a love triangle book, but the live that Ashley showed Victor got on my nerves. He didn't deserve it.

Overall I really wanted to like the book, I really did, cause I loved Damien the moment he opened his mouth. However, so much was going on, I couldn't keep up. This story lined could have been to different stories, we just got one cramped together.

Then to add insult to injury you give us bits and pieces of Ryan and Lola's story in this but and they have a HEA but then the author decides to give them there on book? Im confused. Yes, it would be nice to know how they got to were they are now, but I wanted to build up to there happily ever after. I jnowknow it already, i just dont know the details. Who's story I really want next is Chutney's.

What a great new extension of one of my favorite series. Quiet Ashley is not so quiet or shy after all!!! I love how you see a whole other side to her. Torn between her love for victor and bad a$$ Damien has you so conflicted. Every book prior to this was all about Ashley and Victor, how can one book come along and change my opinion so much!!! The Wrath crew is so different and unique then all the bikers I've met in other books. Of course they're loyal but it's more than just that. My favorite is how awesome the females there are. Lola and chutney are so much fun! SPOILER (ish) when Lola and Ashley talk to each other again and it ends up in a mini fight, might be my favorite part. But overall it's the different types of love Ashley has for both men. Damien is someone she can be completely herself with and who she really wants to be but then there is Victor. Her first love and everything she knows in her life. How can you love two people so different? This book has laugh, tears, thrills, and gun fights! Great spin off from the make or break series.

Unfortunately I didn't like this book as much as some of Amanda's other books (This Beautiful Thing, Make Me etc).

Personally this book just didn't really do it for me as I didn't really connect with or like a lot of the characters: I loved Damien, hated Victor, and disliked Ashley a lot of the time.

I think I will stick to Amanda's other book series.

In this interesting triangle, we find out that Ashley has had a relationship with Victor that has been put on hold while he serves his country. Ashley does not want to wait for him to get back so she breaks up with him after much consideration and thought. Damien enters the picture and we find out about their relationship. The story is told in the present day with flashbacks to fill in the back story. Ashley and Damien were a bit immature in their relationship but, given their age at the time, it was understandable. Ashley and Victor had to come to grips that what they felt for each other was not the same as when they were in high school. Damien needed to understand Ashley's decision and overcome his insecurities. It was quite a ride and interesting enough to keep me reading. Overall a decent read.
