Smulder/Oliver managed to skip out for something urgent for most of this case, not that April really needed him for backup, but she was fighting with herself over falling for him hard. Meanwhile there was a double murder to distract her and it seemed everyone she suspected was involved in something illegal. After the very ending of the book, I’m absolutely eager to read the next and see what happens!

The 7th book in the Spies and Food Truck Cozy Mystery series and it is a fantastic addition to the entire series. Delta Mission is a spy in hiding known as April and has an ice cream truck as her cover. With he friend Hentie and her chihuahua they are in Honey Beach, California. A great place to sell ice cream and be hidden. But when there is a murder, once again, April and Hentie have to get involved even though April has to be careful of staying out of being exposed. And where is Smulder? What is going on? Can April and friends solve a murder, find out what happened to Smulder and keep her identity below the radar? With great sleuthing and quite a few laughs, this book is a great addition to the entire series and I highly recommend it all! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Rosie has another hit in this continuing series. April (Delta Mission), Hentie and Oliver are now on the west coast and trying to stay under the radar. April and Oliver have a breakfast date but April's insecurities about relationships, rear their ugly head. Unfortunely, a robbery of treasure and two murders do not help her situation when Oliver disappears. "Grampa" does not help the situation of where Oliver could be so April and Hentie have to deal with all the goings on.
All the different plots and characters just add to the excitement of what is going on. Untangling all the stories and how each person is involved just adds to all the excitement. Highly recommend this story. Grab this book and have a great time. Can not wait for the next one.

Delta aka April is emotionally confused since Smulder took her for thier first date telling her he loved her, then disappearing clothes and all without a trace and no note or explanation. No sooner he leaves then everything implodes. April has so many suspects she can hardly keep track of them. Though feeling like she is wading through waist deep mud, she is able to put the puzzle pieces together and bring justice to the town, putting six crooked people behind bars without getting sucked in and exposed. Smulder walks back into the scene at the very end of things and expects April to just pick it and keep going, and then gives her an ultimatum, which is where we are left hanging. Rosie keeps us engaged to the last page making this a must read.

This is such a fun series! Very different than most cozies that are out there. The protagonist and a friend and her cute Chihuahua travel in a food truck selling ice cream. She is a spy who is on the run from some bad guys, so she’s always looking over her shoulder. When too much attention goes her way, they travel to a different location. There’s also a love interest involved. If you haven’t read this series before, I’d recommend starting at the beginning with “Strawberry Swirl Murder (A Spies and Food Truck Cozy Mystery Book 1)”, that way you’ll get to know the back stories for the series. Good reading!

Thought this a great cozy mystery. I have enjoyed everything I have read from this author. The story was well written, and the MC' were likeable, but the SC were definitely strange. Looking forward to the next book. Definitely recommend reading.
